Chicken needed more sauce as it was a little dry

When I visited in late November 2024 they clearly were halfway through renovations - half painted walls, stuff all over the place and no heating turned on! As such, not a great atmosphere but also service was super slow and food not amazing. All in all I definitely won't be visiting again - much better food in many other places nearby.

Honey Mustard chicken was really good!

Utterly awful service. I had to prompt several times for my main course, by which time other people had finished eating. The food was then cold. It had sat in the dumb waiter for ages. The waitress was clearly rushed off her feet but totally incompetent and was rude and unfriendly.

The food was really tasty. We got the half half chicken (yellow snowing which is honey butter + Red Devil the spicy chilli glaze), toppoki with cheese, fried squid and octopus dough balls I found the dough balls to have too much sauce but my friend likes it so might just be preference. The chicken was crispy and tasted amazing although the Red Devil wasn’t as spicy as what we wanted them to be. Drinks wise I had Makgeoli with yakult which is so so tasty but others may find the taste a bit strong. My friend had the Sopina (soju with pineapple and coconut) but she found that it just tasted like juice and didn’t have much of the soju taste They also had karaoke rooms upstairs for those who wants to have a group experience Overall enjoyed the dining experience

We came in a group of 4 on Tuesday night. It took about 20mins to get a table. The atmosphere is very cozy, food is ok with generous portion. Service is outstanding with clear explanation on dishes. Highly recommend!

Lovely place however the service was a bit weird. Also for the “bottomless” and “unlimited” KFC wings on Mondays and Tuesdays. They emphasised NOT SHARING. I mean how ridiculous is that?! The food was lovely but i don’t see myself coming here again since my friends and I were on edge every time a waitor came nearby

What they advertised was not what it actually was. £15 bottomless wings. You will have to order everything in one go, and all wings will come at the same time which makes the second plate onwards cold wings. We raised concern before we order and waiter ensured us it will be hot. Doesn’t add up. On the menu it’s written with oriental green flavour, it’ll be boneless chicken. We were expecting more meat from boneless to fill our stomach so we order less wings to not waste anything. It turns out to be oriental green wings, not boneless. We are not filled after finishing all portion we ordered. Misleading menu. The bottomless set was advertised with a glass of draught beer. However on the day it’s beer in a can(330ml), not even a beer glass was provided. Chicken wings were okay. Sweet soy and Honey garlic butter were insufficient in taste. £15 is still a bargain but it just didn’t match what it’s advertised. Wouldn’t come backZ

CheeMc is my absolute favourite Korean restaurant for Korean fried chicken in London. Have introduced this place to so many friends and colleagues and have all added this to their “must go” lists. Highly recommend!!

CheeMc offers great food at a good price with generous portions. The fried chicken was the highlight—crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly, adding to the experience. However, sitting upstairs on a cold day was uncomfortable as it was very chilly inside. The restaurant was also quite busy, leading to slow service, and we had to cancel some items that didn’t arrive. Overall, delicious food but room for improvement in service and comfort.

Amazing just thought it was fried chicken, so much more delicious Korean food on the menu. I am definitely coming back. Great food relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to Lily and the team for the great experience

Expected more. Wings were OK but to me they tasted similar. Didn't like the fact that because there were two of us groups of four were getting in before us after waiting in the cold and rain for over an hour. Staff were nice.

Do not come here! First of all, we came here for the £15 bottomless KFC, at first it went well until our server, ‘Harry’, who we know was not his real name, for context was (SOUTH ASIAN), he was horrible! We finished all our chicken and he still decided to charge us a £10 ‘unfinished’ fee, which made no sense at all. The waiter claimed that there was still chicken on the bone and therefore we would have to pay. On top of that there was an unknown tax added, and we asked if it was service charge, he said no and refused to tell us what the extra tax was for, so not only did we get charged a unfinished fee, but also an unknown tax. He stayed staring at us waiting for payment. Do not come to CHEEMC SOHO, and do not pay the unknown tax, VAT IS ALWAYS automatically added to the payment! 0/10, horrible service.

They have an offer where you get 2 free drinks if you leave a 5 star review, so the ratings are inflated…not in the spirit of the game. KFC was pretty good, rest of the food was bang average

Don’t bother wast your time. Theye say £15 bottomless wings, however without informing us, they added an extra £10pp as we didn’t finish all the wings as we were WAY too full. The food was OK, Korean soul was nice however yellow snow was absolutely disgusting and unbelievably unpleasant. Overall our whole experience was 2/10, there are so many of options I would have preferred to eat at honestly this is always why i’m not adventurous with eating out and i always just stick to a cheeky Nandos as i know i will always enjoy meal and get my moneys worth.

I’m a regular in cheemc and their food is soooo good. Lily served me and my friend today and she’s really sweet.

Staff were rude and service was slow. They told us it was 90 minutes for our table and then they changed their mind and it was 60 minutes. They also told us it was enough time to reorder and it wasn’t. Don’t take their word

The manager with bleach blonde hair was extremely rude. We had booked a table only to be told this had been cancelled- we had received no prior notice. They squeezed the five of us onto a table for four which was fine. We then got told rather than the offline offer of 90 minutes bottomless chicken we only had 60 minutes. We got told initially we could order twice then as we went to order got told we had to order all in one.. defeating the object of bottomless when there’s a £10 per person fee if you don’t finish everything making you under order. We received cans of beer instead of the advertised draught beer. The food then took 40mins to come which is poor when you only have the table for a further twenty minutes. The food was great but would not recommend the deal. Go back on a day when there aren’t deals, or go to a restaurant where they don’t have this deal at all.

Bizarre experience. They told us we only had 60 minutes at the table despite advertising all you can eat chicken. The staff told us we could order once or twice tops. When we told him what we'd have for our first order, he told us we could only order once. We told him what he just said and he told all five of us that we misheard him and restated "what he said." It was really weird to be gaslit when five people heard him say something and he told us we were wrong. Anyway the food was good but the guy with the bleached hair is awful.

We had booked for the bottomless chicken offer that we had seen online - £15 for 90 mins and a draught beer. When we got there we were told all reservations had been cancelled and the offer had been changed even though I had received no communication. They squeezed us on to a table but then the rude manager told us the offer had changed. You only get one hour and you have to order all the chicken you want up front. Which is not bottomless. You also will get charged £10 per person if you over order so it’s very hard to judge. Just made the whole meal very stressful. The offer also said it included a draught beer and it was just a can. The manager on service was really rude and basically called us idiots for not understanding the rules had changed. However, the rest of the staff were lovely and the food was great. Big fans of the elephant and castle branch and would go just not for the deal or for this manager.

Good food for the value of money. Some of the KFC flavours aren't as good as others. Best ones are probably sweet chilli and the soy ones. The fire chilli was on pretty good but didn't like the garlic as much. Staff were friendly but they seemed a bit short staffed at times and low on dishes but otherwise would recommend. Great place to eat.

Wide selection of delicious Korean dishes, specially known for their fried chicken. The set meal for stew comes with 8 side dishes which I thought would be enough to feed 2! Great place for groups so you can share and try more dishes. Definitely recommended.

Booked a table of 5 & 2 for 18:45 on Saturday 9th November. Arrived at the venue at 6:35 only to see a queue of around 25 people outside the restaurant. I proceed to go in and everyone in the queue says "we have a reservation as well and have been waiting 15 minutes" no one is coming out from the staff to advise people what is going on or where to queue. My wife goes in and asks the staff that we have a reservation, only to be told it'll be 5 minutes...15 minutes later and no one has made it I'm, again no update from staff. The staff seemed to have no idea what to do or how to deal with all the people waiting outside, more people turned up with reservations and had to join the queue. One staff member kept repeating that "her manager was coming to help" no sign of the manager at all. 1) if you're going to take reservations, you should be able to fulfill those 2) have a staff member be realistic with wait times and provide information to those waiting outside 3) you are clearly over-booking people on reservations and don't have the staff or capacity to deal with it I dont understand how you have all these reviews that don't mention how dysfunctional poorly organised the establishment is. We ended up leaving. Very disappointed. Might go back at some point but not holding my breath.

We had planned to visit CheeMc, making sure to reserve a table in advance. Our group was quite large (7 people), but our booking was accepted without issue. However, upon arrival the restaurant staff had no intention of honouring the booking. It turned out that most of the people queuing also had reservations which had been ignored. The staff didn't seem to care about this. We waited for 20 minutes outside with no updates before we left as the queue didn't seem to move. We were really looking forward to visiting the restaurant, but felt so let down by what happened. Why accept reservations if you are not going to honour them? It's a waste of both customer and staff time. It was a really disappointing experience, and I won't be returning.

I didn't know you could eat budae jjigae in the UK, but this is it. I ate Korean soul and Jjajangmyeon together. It was so delicious and it was nice to hear a Korean song🥹

Staff, a Korean woman with short hair, explained things very kindly. I wanted to eat spicy food, but the Buldak Chicken was spicy and delicious.

Regular customer here, came here almost every week, have to say it’s one of my secret restaurant for my self. All food on menu is good, but the fried chicken is just a masterpiece here, so nice and tender. Also the waitress is super friendly. Would defo recommend more ppl to come here！

Chill vibe, plenty seats, tasty food specially the galbi tang, the beef fresh and soft. Side dishes are awesome and budget.
