RUDE STAFF AT CHIPPY UNACETABLE BEHAVIOUR N WAY THEY SPEAK TO CUSTOMERS ASKED IF THEY DELIVER TO MAIDSTONE BECAUSE IT SHOWS UP ON MY POSTCODE AND THEN I GET TOLD IT SHOULDNT N THEY DONT DELIVER NO NEED FOR RUDENESS ..... ....

Just had a delivery the fish was greasy and the chips must have been left over from lunch time gave the chips to the birds and my cat had the fish definitely would recommend

Do not order from here! I ordered dinner tonight through Uber eats and worse food I’ve eaten. It was all stone cold and soggy, it made me feel sick. I only live 5 mins drive so not reason for it to be cold. My bottle of coke was totally flat too. I’ve complained but unlikely to get a refund. Worse fish shop in Medway!!!! Also, chips are not the same as advertised.

Amazing fish and chips always freshly cooked, with fantastic chilli sauce and curry sauce. I've been to a few chip shops in the area and they are always stale or cold. This chip shop exceeds expectations, the chips are always fresh, hot and super tasty. And there's parking right outside. We always ask for extra salt and vinegar and they always accommodate, lovely customer service. (Also they take card :) )

Love the food great proper fresh chips! Have parking out side, best chip shop in Kent! They take card, honestly if you want real fish and chips with a big portion of chips is this place!

as we were busy decorating, we sent the girls out to get a couple of portions of chips. they came back with their extremely greasy packages, which cost £9.60. seriously that's £4.80 for a portion of chips. central London is cheaper than that. they weren't very nice, seemed reheated. steer clear of this place. what a ripoff

Wouldn't give any stars if I had a choice, online says open , answerphone says leave a message, 1st time I've ordered this way only to find once order placed £28. and PAYMENT TAKEN, message from fish bar saying closed and money will be refunded in 3-5 days. GREAT!!.

Had this last night with the family and didn't rate it at all cod was yellow and dry and smelt like it was on the turn same as whatever the meat the sausage was as it was definitely not pork it had weird color smell and texture.. all had bad tummys today only thing I rate is the gravy and I made that myself ! Won't be returning in a hurry!

Food was nearly a hour late and didn't answer the phone when i called, when it finally arrived it was stone cold and tasted shabby. Worst fish and chips iv ever eaten. (never again)

This is just around the corner from my parents place. They love it and I love their fish. I popped down to see them start of the year and sneaking a fish supper into the hotel was a must.

I have been trying to find a decent chippy in Rainham and Gillingham that consistently delivers good food. I ordered a large cod and chips plus a large doner kebab from Jack's Fish Bar and I would like to congratulate Jack's Fish Bar in serving me the worst food I have had the misfortune to waste my hard earned money on. I have tried many Fish and chip shops in the area and I have never been served anything as bad as the XXXX that was served to me here. I was told the order would be delivered in 45 minutes and was eventually delivered 1hr and 10 minutes after I ordered. When I opened the bag the paper the food was rapped in was drenched in oil, so much oil that if I squeezed the oil into a barrel I could have sold it to Opec Oil Companies. The doner kebab did not taste good and the salad consisted of 1 slice of cucumber 1 slice of tamoato and 1 piece of rotten lettuce and lots and lots of white cabbage. The chips of course were very oily and tasted like they were cooked in old oil and the cod was as tough as old boots and very oily and the colour was a off putting dark brown probably because it was cooked in old oil and after chipping my way into the batter I found there was hardly any cod. We couldn't eat anything that was delivered and put it where it belonged,in the bin as it was not fit for human consumption. So well done Jack's Fish Bar you are officially the worst Fish and Chip Shop I have had the misfortune to try to eat and I have tried many in the Gillingham and Rainham area. I can't understand how Jack's Fish Bar can serve the public food as bad as this and still stay in business because I certainly won't be ordering from here again, not unless by car needs an oil change because the oil they give you with your food here is cheap as chips.

We regularly use this chippie. It's our preferred one in rainham. We've never had a bad fish from here. Most of the time it is fresh from the fryer. Chips are usually spot on too. We've had there chicken kebab and really enjoyed it but can't comment on the pies. They don't take card in the store but this is only a pain because I like collecting fish and chips - it never travels well!

I believe that you can always tell a liiitle something about such establishments that do things such as: water-down the condiments- I mean, just HOW much more money in your coffers are you getting for yourself by doing so if it means you alienate your local clientele into leaving negative feedback? - and what I deduce is that: a) They aren't really purveyors of good fish&chips b) They don't really know what they're doing c) They probably purely saw a chippy as an easy moneyspinner and didn't learn the business first. This chippy is being 'penny smart' but 'pound foolish' because whereas I won't be returning because of my awful, craggy, non-meat, £1.50 battered sausage, if they had sold decent sausages and unwatered vinegar, I'd've happily kept returning to spend money.

A great fish and chip shop. Lovely food and customer sevice. The food is always fresh in front of the eye and alwaya fill the hole in my stomach. Delivery is also grateful to for fast and delightful food. All the other bad reviews are people who just order the food but didn't like it and now finding ways to blame the shop and the food but really the truth is the shop is great and I would recommend to anyone who want to go there.

WOW THE BEST FISH AND CHIP SHOP IN THE WORLD. THE BEST COD I HAVE EVER HAD AND IS MADE FRESH ON THE SPOT IN QUICK TIME AND THE CHIPS ARE BRIGHT GOLDEN CRUNCHY AND PORTIONS ARE VERY GENEROUS. EVEN THE PIES ARE GREAT TASTING. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT WITH A LOVELY LADY WHO IS BLESSED GIVES GREAT PORTIONS AND MANY OTHER EXTRAS. THE KITCHEN IS VERY CLEAN AND THE SHOP IS ALWAYS OPEN.
