Fantastic place to eat and drink. Lots of great offers on food; roast dinners, fish and chips and the scotch eggs all deserve a special mention. All of the staff are very hard working, helpful and professional. The management have recently helped raise money for a disabled swing to be put in to a local park with a raffle, which is really nice touch doing things like this for the local community. I have only good things to say about this place. Different nights karaoke, quiz and singles etc, good beer and atmosphere. A fab place and a credit to the two hardworking owners 👍

Came here for a Saturday breakfast before the long drive home. Arrived around 11 and was informed of a 30min wait for which they kindly took our number and phoned us up when ready. We waited only 15 mins in the pub next door before we called back! The service, food, and experience were all top notch. The full english was served perfectly and the coffee was superbly made. The prices were good for the quality on offer. Everyone was very friendly and I'm so glad I was recommended to come here.

Popped in on Saturday. The food is lovely, the staff are so nice. We had the Polish sausage, beetroot soup, and pierogi. The food was so tasty. We had to have a dessert too. Wish I could visit every day. The afternoon tea that the table next to us looked delicious.

Not been for a long time, but today decided to pop over for a breakfast. I ordered the 8 item breakfast and you can choose any items you like to make it with. I choose... 2x Bacon with were good soze pieces and very lean. 2x Sausages which were thick and meaty with just a hint of Cumberland taste. 2x Eggs 1x Hash Brown cooked until crisp outside but still tasty and fluffy on the inside. 1x Fried Bread, thick sliced and crunchy outside but not at all greasy. By far the best I have found in a long time. Service was fast and polite. The lady in charge found time for all the customers from a greeting at the door to advice on the menu and then some pleasantries to make you feel a valued customer. Free chilled water saved you adding a bottle to your bill. This is excellent value, especially for Birchington High Street.

My partner and I stopped off at this cafe for lunch when arriving in Southport. On the car journey there, I looked at places for lunch and Hideaway came up in the recommendations. We both ordered a panini - the mozarella, sweet chill and chicken for me and a tuna mayo one for my partner. The paninis were a generous size and came with salad on the side. We both ordered a drink with this - soft drink and an americano. The total came to just over £20 which we didn’t think was too bad considering the size and quality of the food. I would certainly recommend this place for a lunch stop but also if you’re looking for something more fulfilling as the menu offers a rang of larger meals including a breakfast menu.

Popped in here at the start of a visit to Melton Mowbray and it was a great start. Good food and coffee supported by a lovely friendly welcome. Service was good and the cakes are superb. Well worth visiting if you’re in the area.

I had heard that Audrey's Fish Bar was one of the best chip shops around. Today, I got to see what all the hype was about and popped in for some good old fish and chips! I can now confirm that all the hype was on point. Fantastic food, in a traditional chip shop setting and served by a friendly couple who clearly know what their doing! I will be back for more of Audrey's delicious food.

Another amazing evening at the Gateway. We were excited to try Sam's Taste of the Far East and it didn't disappoint in fact it was probably our favourite meal at the Gateway yet. The atmosphere was lovely and we felt spoilt throughout the evening. The flavours were fabulous and the presentation was another 6 star. If you haven't been then you should get on the mailing list and book for there next pop up.

Great breakfast, lovely host and loved the old fashioned decor. Was amazing ice cream parlour and has some original features. Amazing pot of strong tea, fab full English with good quality products and REAL HP/Heinz sauce in glass bottles!! Took two slices of homemade cakes home which were equally as tasty. Great find, will be definitely returning next month when back in the area. Dog friendly too
