Hideaway in Sefton

My partner and I stopped off at this cafe for lunch when arriving in Southport. On the car journey there, I looked at places for lunch and Hideaway came up in the recommendations. We both ordered a panini - the mozarella, sweet chill and chicken for me and a tuna mayo one for my partner. The paninis were a generous size and came with salad on the side. We both ordered a drink with this - soft drink and an americano. The total came to just over £20 which we didn’t think was too bad considering the size and quality of the food. I would certainly recommend this place for a lunch stop but also if you’re looking for something more fulfilling as the menu offers a rang of larger meals including a breakfast menu.

Visited here around 1pm on a Saturday. Ordered a chicken caesar salad, goats cheese salad and fat chips!! The salads were 100% excellent! Wife had a very nice Smoothy too... The chips were cooked perfect but unfortunatly had a slight taste of fish to them,obviously cooked in same fat i suppose. Table infront of me scoffs there chips as did the table at the side,so no point moaning as its personal taste really. All in all worth the money

I visited with two family members for breakfast. I wanted to introduce them to a great place, The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff are always most pleasant and helpful. Although my family members live in Southport they did not know the bistro existed. Sometimes you miss the good things on your own doorstep!

Dog friendly, staff lovely and friendly, ordered a picky plate of Hummus, halloumi , jalapeño poppers , all was presented nice and cooked perfectly, they sell bud in the bottle and a variety of gins , ambience of music but not too loud, you can still chat , would definitely recommend

Hidden Gem. We had the tapas with salt and pepper chips. Amazing! Good prices and served by excellent staff. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

Food was that good here we went back the next day ...all the staff were very friendly......had tapas ...some soup .....toastie .......jacket potato ......over the 2 days ...and all well presented...

Oh wow! Delicious, plentiful & very tasty food. A superb array of food choices and all freshly made to your taste and requirements. Very accommodating, as I am in an electric chair and they helped at every opportunity. Made me feel relaxed and welcome.

Such a lovely place to visit in the heart of Southport for either just a morning coffee and cake, or a hearty breakfast or lunch. The staff are most welcoming and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. As I am mostly alone I find my visits so relaxing and enjoy a chat with staff. Certainly my "place to go".

Visited this morning for breakfast and it was faultless. Food was great, staff super friendly and attentive and prices were reasonable. It was our first visit but it certainly won't be our last. Highly recommended.

Nice little spot. Pleasant decor very friendly staff and attentive service. Reasonable value food. Batter for fish sadly undercooked / heavy/ floury. Other than that the food was OK. Just off Lord St so very convenient for a drink & snack break from shopping, a cosy spot .

We came for a tapas lunch. Everything was lovely. Great staff. We had the chicken and waffles, pitta, jalepeno pops and halloumi fries. All delicious.

This place is absolutely sensational. A bit of a hidden gem since it's surrounded by the big chains in Southport, but so glad we ended up here rather than settling for a KFC or something. The woman who served us (I'm really sorry don't know her name!) was absolutely lovely. Will definitely be back!

Really nice spot in good location and reasonably priced. Food is absolutely mega. The burgers are insane, the salt & pepper stuff on the menu also does the job. For an afternoon bite to eat or an early tea absolutely spot on.

Visited Southport for the Saturday Fireworks Display. Went for meal in Hideaway beforehand. Welcomed in. Very efficient and busy staff member stayed attentive to customers. Atmosphere really relaxing. Prices good,food delicious. Cocktails refill deal looked fab for non driving visit next time.

What a find. Not so much a Hideaway but hidden in plain site. Lovely welcoming staff, well cooked food. First customers there, just after opening, but clearly a favourite with visitors and locals alike as it soon filled up. Would definitely visit again.
