The Grapevine Restaurant and Wine Bar in Sefton

The meal, as always, was superb. I rate the Grapevine as the best tapas in Southport. The food is of the highest quality, portions are generous and service excellent. I’ve eaten here quite a few times and never been disappointed. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Chefs are excellent.

The only problem I had,was the ciabatta was too thick for me . The chicken goujons in a sweet chilli sauce were beautiful as was the salad and slaw,wasn't expecting chips,but again fab. Wine beautiful as was the atmosphere. Coming again in May.

Amazing food, friendly staff, look forward to going back many times!

There were 4 of us and we spent £20 each. The food was delicious, the service excellent. Started with garlic bread with cheese followed by 6 tapas.

We had the most amazing Sunday lunch. We definitely be back for more. It was my birthday treat and it was perfect. Staff are always so very friendly. Just quite warm was the only downside

Food was lovely, however need to update website as I was looking forward to the vegetarian Sunday Roast which is advertised on their website but they don't do this anymore😔. Once I'd got over this disappointment, the food I had was delicious and plenty of it!

We had an absolutely fabulous meal this evening. Eventhough the 3 tapas offer isn't available Fri we decided to 3 tapas & so did our friends. We picked 4 different tapas plus we both decided we wanted chichen green curry We all tasted each of the tapas. We couldn't fault any of then... they were tasty & delicious. 3 chosen were spicy enough as we expected. We all agreed the food was served to a very high standard . Fabulous food as always. Never fails to satisfy.

Great food but the evening was spoilt by the manager telling me that he couldn't give me the 'Bottle price' for the wine I was drinking as there are more than three 250ml glasses in a 750ml bottle of wine... He went onto say that I could continue to argue but it wouldn't make me right, upon explaining to him that it was a case of mathematics and not opinion he became busy with another customer 🤔

Lovely food every tapas dish is good... Great surroundings and setting although near the road... You wouldn't notice

Amazing food. Everything was presented and tasted lovely. Nice relaxed atmosphere and service was not rushed at all. Portions are large so don't order too much. We would definitely return.

Lovely evening spent for my daughter’s 24th birthday meal food was delicious and they were a very accommodating. Lauren goes to bring our own cake and candles Which they brought out after our meal will definitely be back

Another great family meal, loads of choices to keep everyone satisfied!

Lovely varied menu to cater for all tastes. We had a great lunch ordering a variety of the lunchtime tapas dishes (3 for £20 or 2 for £15). Everything was really tasty, my only comment would be the chicken in the pasta dish had a slight but of sinew on which was difficult to spot when covered in sauce but this was a minor issue from the 8 dishes we ordered!

As always service was impeccable food was impeccable didn’t feel rushed at all even though we should’ve only had the table 2 hours we Went over and above and we never asked to leave or made to feel unwelcome thank you for a lovely experience

Beautiful, delicious food. We have had beautiful 3 tapas each, which is all made from fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. A great choice on the menu to choose from. Restaurant plays music we love, great atmosphere super chilled. Staff fabulous.

It was our first but definitely not our last visit to this lovely restaurant. Phil is worthy of special mention because of the warm welcome that we received upon entering the venue, along with his excellent customer service. This was complemented perfectly by the service received by the other members of staff, the outstanding quality of the food and atmosphere. We will definitely be returning soon.

We had a lovely lunch at the Grapevine today. The choice of menus and meals was incredible - the tapas menu was amazing! Opted for the ‘light bites’ menu instead but it definitely wasn’t a ‘light bite’! Goats cheese salad was divine, the pulled pork wraps were full to bursting and my son loved his ‘children’s meal’ which would easily have fed an adult. Fabulous service and atmosphere too - a gem of a place!

First time going to Grape Vine after a lot of recommendation. The food was bland, no service to the table even though we were by the kitchen/servers. Children throwing chairs and cutlery around. Server didn’t check our food was okay until we put our coats on and went downstairs to pay after we’d looked at our plates for 15 minutes. Never asked if we wanted a second drink. Manager politely took 20% off the bill however we didn’t eat 3 plates and only ordered 5. He said it was the fault of a colleague who had to leave due to personal reasons but didn’t hesitate to help every other table but ours. Will not be going back…

Food was outstanding as always and the service was very good. We had tapa’s and our daughter ordered from the kids menu. All beautifully presented and tasty 😋
