Always great delicious food at the Grapevine. We always have the mixed small plates/tapas, very reasonable and good portions. So good to share. Gorgeous prawns and ribs. Service also good, love it there

Lovely little place we found whilst searching the area. Friendly greeting and great service, we had six tapas dishes and all of it was excellent, Would definitely recommend.

Had to wait a little while for our table but staff were welcoming and friendly. Tapas lovely and good portion size. It’s only a small place so can get a bit noisy when there’s only 2 of you. My garlic mushrooms could’ve been hotter but tasty. Just be aware there is only loo in the ladies!

Brilliant Tapas bar in the beautiful Church Town area of Southport , fantastic food and menu , equally fantastic service from well trained knowledgeable waiters/waitress who really looked after us . Nice selection of draft beers and the cider was superb . Can't wait to re-book when we are up visiting family again . Highly recommended 👌

My mum and I went to the The Grapevine Restaurant & Wine Bar with the vouchers I won at Christmas. We entered the restaurant and had a warm welcome from the gentlemen behind the bar, we were taken to our table. We ordered: slider, chicken stroganoff, goatcheese Bon Bon, meatballs, duck spring rolls and shredded lamb. We waited about 20 min for the food as it wasn’t busy. The waiting on staff were perfect as well they gave us enough time to order drinks came back for food checks; absolutely perfect timing as someone who’s worked in this industry before. Even though we’re absolutely stuffed, we decided on sharing a sticky toffee pudding with custard, which just topped off the meal perfectly 10 out of 10 will definitely be back .

We have recently moved to Churchtown & this is the best place to eat in all of Southport. It is a fantastic bar/restraunt, the staff are very pleasent & helpful & the food is so very tasty. The portion sizes are very generous & the prices are very reasonable too.

Went for Sunday roast and had the trio of meats, was loads of meat cooked perfectly, alongside a good amount of roast potatoes and veg. Would definitely recommend and will definitely look to go back again.

Was recommended to visit this restaurant for a birthday celebratory meal with my boyfriends family, the recommendation came from my daughter that occasionally works there (she didn't attend) she raves about the food and varied choices on the menu so knew it must rate highly. Pleased to say the Grapevine did not disappoint... It was exactly as she said. The food and service was top notch, the 4 of us shared 12 different tapas dishes and we all thought every dish was delicious. We can't wait to return and try all the other dishes available the menu is so varied and caters for all dietary needs. We ordered desserts Brownies and Sticky toffee puddings (we had to try them after as the mains where gorgeous, rather cutting into the cake we brought with us) Thankyou to Phil and Danny working Front of house who helped to make my boyfriends birthday special. Great local restaurant with a large tapas menu making it very difficult to choose 2/3 of your favourites. We go here regularly and can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal here so would definitely recommend although you will need to book as it’s not terribly big and gets busy. We’ll done guys, keep up good work

Amazing food. We came for lunch when the Christmas lights were turned on. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were friendly. We had one issue where the kids spag Bol had chillis in but a fresh one was made and they offered to take this off the bill too

Never eaten here before and I was surprised. The taps was very good sized portions, very tasty and good quality. Service was pleasant and the prices eere good. I ate the tempura king Prawns, lamb fritters, pulled pork slider and garlic mushrooms. The mushrooms were superb, as was the rest of the food. I'll be coming back.

I’m not usually the one to leave reviews but if you’re going to come here..don’t. Food was nice as always but me and my husband felt like we were forgotten about by the staff. They were stood chatting away, on a quiet night we would expect better service. We come to the grapevine quite a lot so it’s a shame that we won’t be coming back as we usually enjoy our experience.

Went for tapas for wife's birthday. 6 in total and ordered 16 tapas and two while you wait starters. Perfect amount and variety. All tapas were very good and service was polite and prompt. Would highly recommend.

A lovely meal. Excellent service. We have been coming here many times over the years and it is consistently good. On a cold night it is very cosy.

Tapas style food which was well presented, good sized portions and great for a group to share. We used the deal of six dishes for £40 which we thought was great value.

Food was excellent! Don't be fooled into thinking that there isn't much in the dishes as they call them "small plates"! There is plenty! Ended up taking a doggy bag home because we couldn't finish them!

Food & Service 5 Star*****. The waitress was Efficient & Above all Friendly. This girl was serving on her own. So again Excellent.

A lovely meal in a lovely village, we are travelling from Surrey so far away from home , we are staying in Southport and had a recommendation to eat here we were not disappointed, staff were lovely and friendly food was lovely (portion sizes generous)...

Four of us very much enjoyed a selection of Tapas here for dinner. Tried some of their cocktails, which were very good , as aperitifs and the selection of beer and wine was good. Throughout the meal service was unobtrusive but very good.

Went for a meal at this lovely small and cozy restaurant in Churchtown yesterday and was very pleased with the overall service. From the moment we walked in we were treated with the upmost respect and made to feel like we were at home. the food was amazing and everyone was very polite. Will most definitely be visiting again at some point.

Food was very good at a reasonable price. Service was good with a couple of exceptions - my request for the outside door to be closed due to uncomfortable draught was met with a reluctance and lack of charm; secondly, the barman was most unsympathetic when I questioned the quality of the rose wine. After displaying scant grace and following further uncomfortable discussion, he eventually replaced the wine with an alternative. These service issues spoiled what could have been a most enjoyable experience. In summary, the food is as good as it has always been but service could be and should be better.

We chose a quiet Wednesday evening. Restaurant not too crowded but it had a good atmosphere. Staff are friendly (great service). We chose several small dishes... tapas. Delicious but no room for my usual sticky toffee pudding. Love it in the summer when we can sit outside. Have lovely memories of the village. It was my stamping ground as a child.

I'm still dreaming about this tapas!! From start to finish we had a wonderful evening. Stumbled upon it after a Google search whilst staying on a local glamping site and I am so glad we did. 2 cocktails, 6 dishes, a cappuccino, a soft drink and a brownie all for £60, which I thought was incredibly reasonable. Staff were amazing and really knowledgable and friendly. Food was some of the tastiest I've ever had. Will 100% be coming back if we're ever in the area again. Managed to park right outside which was also handy but I can see it being busier at peak times (we went at 5pm on a Thursday).

Grapevine lovely, staff really friendly and engaging. Food excellent my only criticism would although they had a few options on the Starters/ Main vegan menu there wasn't anything on the sweet menu so I sat and watched my partner enjoy his sweet, also no option of Oat milk for Tea/Coffee only coconut milk!
