The Queen's Nook of Crosby Bar & Kitchen in Sefton

Food generally good but massively let down by the wine, Ive tried all three reds on offer and wont try any of them again , very poor quality and Sainsburys is just around the corner, for god sake make an effort . Coffee pretty poor also, but as i said the food is good and good value. Steak great and short ribs great the fish is good but the is wine nasty.. Atmospheric and nice staff a good local haunt let down by the awful wine.. visit and have steak ,fish or ribs , get a beer or soft drink and you wont be let down. Avoid the wine.. Hello again and thanks for your kind response , i know the problems with commercial wine suppliers and its a challenge. Your probably better popping around to Sainsburys every week and buying wines that you have tried before and like. And avoiding a cold cellar with the reds is a good idea, they will be fine unopened for months kept in the bar area, and at a better temperature when people buy them. I have always enjoyed the food and the steak and pepper sauce i had a few weeks ago was the best thing I have eaten in Crosby all year, The sauce was really fantastic, you could tell it was exactly what it should be. The staff are great , food great. The coffee thing is down to my preference i suppose , I love a dark roast Italian and I am not really a fan of modern fruity coffee that seems to be all the rage at the moment. So I love what your doing and will return, my comments were made with the best possible intentions and I am please Crosby has another good place to eat.. You seem to be doing very well , busy and a good atmosphere... A credit to the area (Next time can i pay corkage and bring my own) Ive revisited and i love what they are doing , the food is the best around, great atmosphere and lovely staff.

Would absolutely recommend, the staff are just so lovely, so accommodating, fun and friendly whilst maintaining professionalism. The food is delicious and they were so helpful with an allergy concern for my children. Always greeted with a cheery disposition, the atmosphere is warming. Keep doing an excellent job Queens 🥰

Held father in laws 80th birthday in the nook. Catherine and the staff went above and beyond to make it perfect and special.Food was outstanding and plenty of it. Would highly recommend the queens nook if wanting a family get together or even if just wanting drinks and food. Has ro be the best bar around crosby.

First time visit. We will be back. Food absolutely amazing and full of flavour. Fantastic portions. Real homemade pie and mash. Every item on the plate oozed with flavour. The minute you enter the door the service is exceptional. Informative friendly team who know how to make you feel welcome. Warm decor. Can not wait to come back. Definalty the nicest place i have eaten at for a very long time. Drinks and food very well priced.

Sunday lunch, went with my family, proper homely Sunday dinner, demolished by all including the 2 yr old, never seen him eat a roast so happily including the school cake dessert 😂, staff were amazing definitely will return

Yesterday we had a little Xmas get together in the fabulous 👌 Queens Nook. We went for the bottomless brunch option. Food was amazing 👏 🤩 staff are fab as always. Such a cosy and welcoming place. Great live singer was 4pm till 6pm and we even stayed for the Karaoke 🎤 Great day was had by us all. Thanks guys xxx

Went to the Queens Nook yesterday for Bottomless Brunch with 4 friends….£25 each! Amazing food, fab atmosphere, drinks were plentiful, entertainment spot on and the staff couldn’t do enough for us…would highly recommend if you looking for a bottomless brunch. Food is always amazing in here anyway 👌🏻 xxx

I went with my 2 sisters to the Queens Nook on Sunday afternoon for Sunday lunch. The 2 roast lunch is absolutely fabulous & the service excellent & the staff so friendly. We would highly recommend the Queens Nook & will definitely be back again in the near future. You are a credit to Crosby village & deserve to do well.

Came in for the work’s Christmas meal - roast was absolutely incredible - compliments to the chefs - service was great and atmosphere was brilliant! Great experience!

WOW !!!!!! What a place. We booked here for a bottomless brunch and can honestly say it was the best service we have ever had !!. We were welcomed by Cathy and she was amazing and made us feel so welcome with her amazing bubbly personality. I honestly felt like we were friends even though we had never met. The server and Cathy were over so regularly and as soon as we had half drank our drinks we had another arrive. The food we ordered was the 3 egg omelette with bacon and cheese complete with salad coleslaw and we paid extra for chips which was big enough for 2 of us to share, it was hot, delicious and presented well and just what was needed to absorb the alcohol. We didn't feel rushed to drink and leave like many other places we have been to in Liverpool city centre and enjoyed the live act that started towards end of our brunch. We paid for alcoholic drinks after the brunch and was pleasantly surprised how reasonable they were so we stayed alot longer haha. All I can say is GO you will be genuinely welcomed like a friend, receive amazing faultless service as well as supporting this local businesses.

Came for bottomless brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Absolutely fabulous. Great choice of food even bigger choice of drinks. Daisy our waitress was fantastic, never let our glasses get empty, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was spotless. The toilets were fab too with hairspray and sprays as extra little touches. Defo a jewel in the crown of Crosby. Thanks ladies. We will be back soon xxx

Had both my daughter’s baby showers here one in September and the second today -so good we chose it again! Absolutely couldn’t fault this place, the food is incredible, staff couldn’t do more for us, the venue is just perfect for a 20-30 group size. I highly recommend it for a private function - have also eaten here with friends and again the food was delicious and staff so friendly and helpful. Great venue you won’t be disappointed 👍👍

Called here after a lovely afternoon on the beach . Wow we were blown away by the lovely welcome we and our dog received . Nothing was too much trouble and our dog was given water and treats . Our food was delicious - freshly cooked and piping hot and very generous portions . We had fish and chips , shepherds pie and chicken pesto pasta - all were delicious ! Can’t wait to return on our next visit to see our daughter who is studying at the Uni .

Came for a sunday dinner with my missus today and the home made Yorkshire pudding was unbelievable. Along with the Biscoff cheesecake. Couldn’t recommend enough. Best roast dinner in the NorthWest.

One of the top places to eat in the area.Ive had some great food here , the wine was a bit sketchy but that was in the spring so i hope they've taken some advice . Its my next port of call and i'm looking forward to it again . The best places to eat in crosby/ waterloo are Ellingtons, the liverpool rd social and this place. The Queens nook is the best value and great food , someone there really cares and is a great cook

A large group of 15, we did pre order, all food arrived within 15 mins, hot and very very tasty. Service was great, very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Booking communication quick and clear, thank you all so much 😊

Today was the best roast dinner we have had! We don’t mind cooking at home, but we are lucky enough to have this gem of a place on our doorstep so this wins every time! My little girl even cleared her plate! The Roast was a 10/10 and the homemade cheesecake was to die for! Great food, delicious wine and superb service! A Sunday well spent xxx

Had the queens roast, perfect for a Sunday roast

Off the cuff today I decided to try a roast dinner from The Queens Nook. Can I just say it was amazing.Soooooo tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff were all super friendly and the atmosphere was very homely. Can’t wait to go and dine in there again. I will definitely be recommending it to all my friends & family !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a fab roast in the queen nook! Would definitely recommend. We paid extra for the cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets and are so glad we did. Will defo be back!

What a amazing little addition to the Crosby area... Such a welcoming, warming place with a lovely vibe.. All the staff are so friendly & smiley and nothing was too much trouble.... And now THE FOOD!! 😲 The Sunday Lunch was amazing, sooooo tasty, good portions and a real home cooked feeling to the whole dish.... the Beef and Chicken was so well roasted and presentation was spot on not to mention the Yorkshire Puds which were perfect!!! We finished with School cake & Custard... What a delicious blast from the past that was!! I'm sure their regular memu is superb also!! I a million percent recommend a visit to this place and we will deffiently be back very soon.... Well done to staff the staff, keep up the great work!!

Pancakes were absolutely gorgeous !!! Nutella, strawberries & banana. You can tell they are freshly made and did not disappoint. Compliments to the chef ! Staff are very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be recommending. Thanks again to the queens nook for the food and service.

Great little bar visited with friends for the quiz night. The food was lovely home cooked style I had the pork chop special which was delicious. Great friendly atmosphere and interesting quiz!

The food was delicious, I had the tuna sandwich in the brunch deal. It was well presented and plentiful. The service from the bar staff was really efficient, and with the brunch deal, they did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great, live music and the singer had some really great tunes in his playlist. I couldn't praise the brunch deal enough, there was 19 of us and the conscious was the same from our party. A great day, thank you Cathy.

Had the venue for my daughter’s christening. What an amazing day the food was absolutely perfect, every guest commented on how beautiful the food was. The drinks service was brilliant and so was the atmosphere. I would recommend hiring the venue for intimate family party’s. We had such an amazing day it was faultless.

We came into the Queens Nook today for a drink and a bite to eat, after getting drinks, the server took our food order whilst continuing to have a prolonged conversation with the next table and hey presto ..... got our food order wrong. We ordered 2 plates, the second plate came out at least 10 mins after the first so we didn't actually get to eat together. Not the greatest experience, we'll probably just go somewhere else next time.

Had a couple of drinks here on a warm June day. We like (old fashioned) pubs. Nice vibe through our couple of hours. Definitely worth a try from the hustle and bustle. That’s why we like it. Don’t have to shout 😂😂

Our favourite go to for a family get together. The staff are the best and the atmosphere is always such a buzz. We happen to have the fussiest dad in the world for food, and even he raves about the food here. Can’t beat this little gem

I had the breakfast which was nothing special. Plenty better in Crosby. My Mrs had baked potato which was still quite hard in the middle. Tea and coffee prices were low.

We’ve just been and all had a roast, I was blown away. The nicest roast I’ve had in ages and the staff are so friendly & helpful. They even gave us free meat for the dog. Will absolutely be back! Thankyou so much!

Had lunch and couldn't help but notice the massive difference in the size and quality of food between the over 60s and the main menu are we second class being older I left still hungery there was also a long wait for food no offer of a second drink , or ⁹bread and butter , table was a bit sticky as well wouldn't rush back

Stumbled upon this place as was visiting a family member today. Me and my friend popped in with the dog. We were welcomed by the two lovely ladies who run the place, lots of laughs, felt very welcomed. The menu is fab, they even accommodated my Gluten Free requirements and I had a delicious meal. My friend had a burger and she absolutely loved it. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

1st time here ordered food and drinks waited to long. Main and desert both came wrong. By the time I got my main both my partner and daughter had ate there's. Atmosphere was OK apart from women sat next to each talk shouting. This was at 5pm so no need really Christmas eve was spoilt

Great atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and the food is great. As I have quite a few dietary requirements and the kitchen catered for me and the food was gorgeous. Fresh home made food which is always a bonus and you can tell the difference 10/10 thanks guys we will be back

Whether I am visiting with my daughter for something to eat, or with friends for the quiz or drinks, we are always made to feel unbelievably welcome. The food is fresh and of great quality and the drinks are fairly priced, but the atmosphere is the biggest selling point for me. The owners are down to earth and friendly; as are all of the customers I’ve got chatting to. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Had the roast dinner on the Sunday which still left me hungry. The food was nice, but I just couldn't justify getting the larger roast for nearly £20. I would eat there again.

Trip to crosby beach for my birthday, looked this place up and as gluten free options and great reviews we gave it a go!. Reviews are spot on ...best GF fish and chips weve had in a long time..Nice place and friendly staff. Will call in again when in the vicinity

Went here for our tea with my wife. Really enjoyed our visit, atmosphere was really nice and relaxed. Food was delicious, waitress were excellent, attentive and friendly.
