This place is a gem !!! Brilliant food and great service by people who clearly love what the do. I would recommend amazing polish dish - Krokiety. Will defo go back and take my friends and family.

Lovely spot. Are hear for breakfast and tried it for lunch and the food was great and well priced. The polish sausage breakfast bap is lovely with the mustard and onions. The owners are really friendly and atmosphere is very good. Well worth a visit for breakfast or lunch.

Speachless,.... Home made food, tasteful just go there and try it. I asked for soup of the day, Pierogi and Apple cake. Don't spend money in fancy restaurants in Middlesbrough. This is it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Fantastic food (English breakfast or an omelette to die for!), great location and reasonable prices. The only place in Teesside to try original polish ‘pierogi’ and other polish meals but there is always a big choice of English food too, fresh and very tasty! Or you can try their special pasta. And don’t even start me on their cakes! Highly recommended! See some of my meals on the pics above (haha, yes, I come there often).

Needed a coffee stop and some breakfast! Lovely cafe with a real homely feel created by the couple who run the place. I only had a panini but it was made with love. Thanks 🥰

Had the Polish sausage sandwich with onions - cannot recommend highly enough. Really lovely people as well.

I tried the polish sausage sandwich, the polish sausage panini, pierogi and the hot and sour soup they sometimes have on, as well as a donut. Could not recommend this place enough, not only because the food was absolutely delicious, but the staff there are so lovely. They let me have a free sample of soup to see if I liked it, and were generally just lovely welcoming people.

We had reviewed this before our visit, it did not disappoint. Whilst there were some lovely Polish dishes on offer we opted for a full English which was perfect.

Got the polish deli wrap after reading one of the reviews on here - it wasn't the best wrap I've ever had, however that is a crowded field and a v high bar - it was still delicious. Pierogi was also great, as was the cake. But the highlight was the service, so friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Middlesbrough or otherwise!

Had a breakfast this morning there, and it was amazing. We were two adults and a kid and a very lovely lady asking about our wishes and choices. We got the feeling she asked not because of the options itself but to get us exactly what would make us happy. And happy we were after we had eaten. The food was really good and made with an extra portion of love. We even got some hand-made pirogy for breakfast. It's totally worth a visit.

A friend at work recommended Mannequin Cafe to me yesterday, so my wife and I went at dinner time. We both ordered the Grilled Polish Deli Wrap and both agreed that it is possibly the best wrap either of us has ever had. The atmosphere is fantastic in here and you genuinely feel like you have been invited into a friends home. The staff are lovely and we have already made plans to go back next week with our daughter. You really should make time in your day to give them a try, you will not be dissapointed........ As an edit we did go back the week after and had Krokiety and Pierogi. They were AMAZING!

I came across the Mannequin yesterday while looking for a place to relax and have a good lunch after a stressful morning. I couldn't have found a better place - friendly and welcoming staff, tasty food reasonably priced, great coffee. Highly recommended!

We found this café whilst heading to Cineworld. It has Polish themed cuisine which we found delicious, but will cater for traditional English breakfast etc... Will call again.

We love this Polish Cafe in the Centre of Middlesbrough. Everything is freshly cooked and the service is friendly and welcoming. It is a fantastic place to meet with friends and enjoy a bite to eat or delicious cake. Cannot recommend highly enough. The cakes are delicious and always different.

What a brilliant Bistro / Cafe' this place is..... Five Star food and a friendly welcome as soon as you walk through the door. An Independent 'Family' business, with a massive choice of meals ....whatever your requirements may be during opening hours. Over the years we have made several visits when in Middlesbrough, and the selection of meals on the menu never ceases to amaze us. Forget the generic run of the mill cafe's in Middlesbrough... Mannequin Cafe outshines them all.....

Visited for the second time and nothing has changed. The Owners are friendly and very welcoming. The cafe is warm clean and has a relaxed atmosphere. The food is as tasty and well cooked as my last visit. My wife and others who were with us commented that the hot chocolate was the best they had tasted. My thanks to the owners for a wonderful place to visit that I can keep coming back to again and again. I can't wait until the next time I visit M/boro so I can try the Hunters Stew...

Lovely friendly staff. Generous portions of delicious cakes. I had an egg mayo sandwich: thick slices of good quality bread with plenty of egg and not too much mayo. My wife had a BLT: thick cut bacon and tasty fresh salad. We will definately return when we're next in Middlesbrough.

Such a lovely place to eat in. We have visited the place few times already, and I'm sure we will visit again. You can enjoy a huge variety of polish cuisine but also choose something traditionally English. I'm sure they also have a little twist of Italian cuisine....especially those tasty paninis. And cakes are to die for, homemade, you realise after filling your tummy with savoury, that you just simply have to make room for a piece of cake lol

Wonderful place! Delicious, homemade food , variety of Polish traditional dishes to dig into - pierogi, golabki, soups. Scrumptious cakes, also homemade and great coffee. All of that served in such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It is a must visit hidden gem. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. The food is amazing and the coffee is sublime. Every meal is unique and the staff are knowledgable about the food they create. I can't recommend Mannequin Cafe high enough.

This is such a jewel of a place. The owners are very friendly and very professional and always working in the cafe. They have some great food from English breakfast to Polish delights. They have the most delicious home made cakes and gateaux. The place is spotlessly clean and it’s amazing quality. They do takeaway and sit in, table service. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they will try to satisfy your taste or dietary requirements as best they can. Well worth a visit in a morning or lunchtime if you happen to be in Middlesbrough town centre.

This cafe is a hidden gem and is well recommended,me and my mam have dinner every friday and we went to try here the food is amazing and the owners and staff are friendly and fun,its a relaxing environment and there's lot of choice on the menu. I tried Hunters Stew for the first time and my daughter had her usual, spinach and feta Krokiety with beetroot soup - wonderful. We were going for afternoon tea but took this home and had a warm meal instead. We were treated more like friends...

Went today and had the beef goulash with potato pancakes and they were absolutely amazing! Extremely well priced, lovely couple who run it and recommend you go here over any chain store!

Best perogies in town.. really friendly staff

First visit to Middlesbourgh, just recently moved into the area. Any way, stumbled upon this little cafe that was doing take away food. The proprietor was lovely, we ordered a couple of bacon rolls, nothing fancy, but in these times it's going out for breakfast I miss! Decided I wanted a coffee when our rolls were ready, so got a latte too. Will definitely visit again and hopefully next time we can sit in the restaurant. I miss those days.

Staff are wonderful and the cakes are fabulous. Had the afternoon tea but was very disappointed. White bread sandwiches and fillings were pretty much all processed meat . Scone was also a shop bought scone which isnt very good. But as stated, the staff are fantastic . If you love cake, their selection ( all home made) is very impressive .
