Three of us went to Pie Jackers before a Boro home game. We were greeted by friendly staff. They offered a range of locally sourced home made pies with mash and mushy peas. Two of us had game pie - a special of the day and our friend had chicken. Excellent food and supplemented by some interesting local ales. Great value! We are certainly going back.

Had chicken and tarragon with mash and gravy, very very nice. Buttery pastry and chunky pieces of chicken.

Visited yesterday on the strength of comments made on TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed. To start with there was a warm welcome from the member of staff on duty. We both ordered mince and onion pies with mash and peas - absolutely delicious. Presented nicely and served piping hot. Nice touch was the topping of crispy onions. Finished with a lovely latte and generous pot of tea for my husband. Will definitely go back again.

I've have eaten pies all over the country but none have come close to Pie Jackers. Their pies are something of a miracle, using only the best ingredients they are very hard to describe as they are so good. The crisp lid of the most tasty pastry I've ever eaten cracks open to reveal the wondrous succulent fillings within. My personal favourite is the Morrocan Lamb, a combination of butternut squash, chick peas and other exotic ingredients encased in a unique spiced pastry that quite literally is to die for, when they have them available don't just buy one or two buy half a dozen and freeze them as believe you me you'll crave them. A very close second is their Beef in Red Wine in a herby pastry, the beef surrounded by the red wine gravy just melts in your mouth, absolutely delicious. The Mince and Veg is also spectacular along with the Hot Shot Chicken, in fact their isn't a pie from them I don't like as everyone of them are amazing, reheat really well without drying out, freeze for months so you always have them on hand and most important of all you can tell with each bite that they are made with love. Pie Jackers, simply the best pies on the planet

Amazing filling food and very tasty. I have been to pie jackers multiple times since it reopened after lockdown and its just as good, if not better, than I remembered. No wonder they have award winning pies. Breakfast deals are perfect for me on the way to work, and I have to go in for a pie at least once a week (it is law). Staff are lovely and attentive in making sure your visit is perfect. If you live or work on Albert Road/Boho Zone in Middlesbrough you just have to go. Or if you are looking for a new place to lunch date with your mate it is perfect.

The best pies ever and I have indeed eaten a fair few in my time. Absolutely wonderful selection of fillings. (Some unique) and crisp short pastry to die for. They also sell at local farmers markets (pre ordering is advised as they sell out fast), and an order on line service of frozen pies to bake at home with delivery. Perfect.

First time visit and what a treat, I’ve eaten a few pies so I know what I’m talking about. Unique choice of fillings, all tempting. I challenge anyone to only choose one, I needed a second for tea later.

Visited again yesterday before the Middlesbrough game. Beef and red wine pie with mashed potato, stuffing gravy and mushy peas. Absolutely gorgeous. All freshly cooked with excellent service what more can you ask for on a cold windy Saturday afternoon. if the Boro football team had their pre match meal here then maybe they would play better football. I keep thinking that i should try some of their other pies, however I am a committed beef and red wine fan. A brilliant family run independent restaurant which is an absolute gem which is also dog friendly.

My husband absolutely loves the pies from here! Eating here at least once a week and bringing new friends/colleagues with him every time! If only they offered a loyalty scheme or bonus for bringing new people to the store cos he’d eating for free every week! lol We’ve been eating Pie Jackers gourmet pies for over a year now, previously buying them at local Farmer’s Markets – Stokesley and Stuart’s Park. However, now they have the restaurant in town it’s all too convenient to drop in for a tasty lunch. Pies are served hot and come with a choice of tasty sides that vary day-to-day; a pie and 2 sides is around £6. Made with ingredients from local suppliers. We always buy to eat at our desks, but there is a small restaurant to eat in comfort too. We highly recommend for a tasty hot lunch. Service is always super friendly. Support your local businesses!

Fantastisk mat. Andeconfit var utsøkt og vinene meget gode. Forretten av fisk likeså. Erketypisk engelsk dessert av kastanjenøtter, brandy og fløte ga en super avslutning. Klart det beste måltidet i Middlesbrough

Only went on lounge so can't comment on big room but what I encountered was smashing. Very nicely set out and extremely pleasant place. Excellent service and very efficient staff.

The place itself seems nice enough - a good aesthetic that screams rock n'roll. However, the online presence really lets the place down. "Book a Table" says the website. I booked a table. Only to receive an email saying I didn't need to. When we arrived, two tables were marked "Reserved". Based on information found on the various online sources we could find, my other half (looking to celebrate her birthday), chose SF having seen "a selection of grilled cheese sandwiches", and offers on a "range of cocktails". The evening got off to a poor start when we got to the bar, and the only two non-lager/cider options on the draught drinks were both out of stock. Undeterred, we asked for one of the "range of cocktails", only to be told they were not doing cocktails. Undeterred, we finally found (barely) suitable beverages and found a table. We waited for the menu, and were disappointed to find it was much smaller than the online presence had led us to believe. Calling over one of the staff, we were told "We don't do those anymore". When we pointed out that this really should be updated online, we got "Yeah, its all changing". At which point we left to go home. Where we could enjoy drinks we wanted, and the full array of delights available from local takeaways. One word of advice - if you promise burger and chips, and deliver burger and chips, I'm happy. But if I visit on the basis of online information, and you don't have what you've marketed, I'm going to be elsewhere.
