Just had food with my family here and the food was delicious. Ali and Caddy were great hosts and super friendly! I loved the loaded fries, honestly that was a meal in itself. The guacamole and cream cheese made it! I also loved the prawns and house-made mango ice cream. You've also gotta try their pistachio milk cake omg it's so good.

Booked a table, arrived on time, they cook fresh which is fine don’t mind a little wait. Everything was being packed up which I totally understand as was a late booking 10:15, advertised until 10:30, however after 50 minutes still hadn’t had a freshly cooked breakfast because the woman in the kitchen (which you can see from the table) had major attitude with the waitress and forgot to cook half of the breakfast. If I could have had a bowl of cereal then might have been something but it was put away. Then when I asked about the breakfast and why people that came in later had eaten and left, they said there was an issue with a poached egg pan. I’d have happily had scrambled or a fried one if they had said 30 mins earlier. Has majorly put me off and can say I won’t be coming back, will just go to Morrisons cafe next door!

As a frequent visitor to Grimsby I have found some great eating places and some great customer service. On my visit to The Wheatsheaf I expected a greater eating experience Good parking nice clean interior, well decorated in nice comfortable colours. The bar staff were pleasant and the customer service good, But, the food was equal to an Asda £1 frozen meal. I opted for a Madras beef curry 3 sugar lump sizes of beef accompanied with a micro serving of rice and a watery sort of curry sauce. The chef who produced this should hang up his hat, go home and chop sticks. My partner had a Guinness ale pie accompanied with half boiled shredded cabbage or kale hard enough to cut your throat with a spoon full of mash. The pie bottom was as hard as a tin lid, the top wet cardboard. Not very good where my order was over £50 will definitely never visit this sham of an eating venue again. Disgraceful.

Had a fantastic 'Yorkshire Deal' fish and chips meal at Quayside. Whenever we are in Whitby Quayside is our fish and chips restaurant of choice, we almost always sit in to eat although you can get take away. The quality of the food is outstanding, perhaps a bit dearer than some places, but it's worth it. The Yorkshire deal allows either cod or haddock (I always opt for haddock), chips, mushy peas, a slice of bread and butter and a pot or tea. The staff did allow my wife to swap the mushy peas for gravy. The food came out swiftly and we enjoyed them in a lovely decorated and spacious restaurant. Quayside have not tried to cram too many tables in, which makes for a great meal experience. We will no doubt be back there later in the year when we visit Whitby next.

We have been coming for years to the granary and have always loved it … seeing it change staff many times but Demi’s and the staff are by far the best … we popped in today after a long walk and our 2.5 year old daughter (Lilly) asking to go to “the blue shop” for some brunch which was absolutely amazing … and some top notch mimosas yummy… the staff are so so lovely with our little daughter (Lilly) even getting her to help watering the flowers … would highly recommend time and time again for all occasions xx
