An amazing Christmas meal with all the festive decorations. We had excellent service from Mikey who was very professional. Lovely atmosphere

Impromptu dinner - pick a table, order at bar. Welcomed by a friendly gentleman greeter who provided menus, and we had already spotted the special board - beef bourgignon. Enjoyed a chat and started our pints, then our meals delivered in timely manner even though restaurant bookings very busy. We observed the team work hard to meet customer requirements with a smile. Beef bourgignon was an absolutely delicious plateful, many thanks to the team and we shall return, again, and again 😀

Great value for money. Food presented and cooked well. Four in our party and we were all very happy with our choices. Beer was good too. We served by Lauren who was informative and polite.

We were given a nice, quiet, corner table, as requested. Followed by a pleasant meal with attentive but not pushy staff. Will be back again, of course.

Very pleased with our meal at the Cricketers Arms. Good choice, reasonably priced and all made very pleasant by the waitress Lou. She was very helpful, accommodating with our meals. Given us lots of information about other delights they provide. Coffee and cake and afternoon tea's are available too 👍. We'll be back.

Always good atmosphere. It was my birthday lunch and was served very well by Lou who surprised us all with a birthday candle on my dessert. Good menu with plenty of choice.

The food was really delicious especially the vegetarian meatballs and the buttery mash, although my son enjoyed his steak too. The service was helpful and friendly and an especial thanks to Mikey our main server.

We attended there last night for a 70th birthday, there were 11 of us. I did 3 separate bookings and made a note to have us all sat together. They made a huge effort to sit us in a lovely part of the pub, letting me decorate with banners and balloons. The food came out together and hot and was delicious, not a single complaint, great value @ £185.00 for all 11 of us. They then brought out the cake, I had dropped off whilst decorating, and sang happy birthday. Could not fault the service or food at all, well done Cricks, extremely impressed.

From the moment we entered the pub/restaurant we were made very welcome. The service was first class with drunk orders and meal orders taken quickly and efficiently after having time to look at the menu. The menus was varied and well presented. Even paying was a pleasure. The person manning the bar was friendly polite and efficient. Certainly recommend the venue as a great place to visit and eat

We took our elderly residents from a care home here today, they totally enjoyed the experience, all the food came out together, considering there was 15 of us, and all sat together, so amazing, the residents all asked if we could do this weekly, ( we will be coming again) the staff were amazing and friendly to all, nothing too much trouble, Thank you too you all, you made there day so much fun, and too see them smiling, you made there day even more perfect with the sun shining too, So send all your staff a big Thank you from us

Aweful meal. My friends had steak which was full of grizzle and was inedible. I had a jacket potato, which was tiny, served with no garnish, let alone salad. The coleslaw was unpleasant. This is one lunch venue we won’t be visiting again, a shame as the location is ideal, with ample parking and a friendly, pleasant staff. The whole meal have the impression of cutbacks, cheap food and smaller portions..

First visit for me with work friends. The table advance and we arrived early. When we arrived our table was being prepped by a lovely friendly young lady who took our drinks order. We then asked for a couple of minutes to order our food. We think we were forgotten about as. It was around half an hour before we had to flagged someone down to take our order. Mixed reviews on the food, some of us were pleased. Nachos weren't good, very dry with a congealed lump of cheese, some jalapenos and a tiny bit of sour cream but other starters a bit better. Mains were all okay, again mixed opinions. Probably best to order from the classic menu. We then waited again for some time following our mains and had to flag someone down to order deserts. On the whole it was a good evening with friends but service and some of the food let it down.

Took my disabled friend out for a pint as he dont get out much. But today he said he wanted to go to the cricketers After 10 minutes of being served finding a seat and having one sip of our drinks. We got ask leave under the suspension of drugs! By a short man, maybe a manager. Never been so embarrassed in my life. Cricketers use to be such a nice pub clearly they don't like the custom of disable people. Very unhappy customers. Don't accuse people of something which is not true!
