The Cricketers has a cosy, laid-back vibe, a bit like a Wetherspoons. The large garden and the simple app for ordering food and drink make it a relaxing place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a drink.

Such great food for such little price. Absolutely worth a visit for a cheap meal.

Love the atmosphere and eating at the Cricketers Arms, service is always with a smile. Over the last month we’ve eaten here once a week. Lunchtime, dinner and of course the brunch menu! We went here as a family for an afternoon tea. They have just started doing these events. There was lots of food and a great variety. Very tasty. The only thing that wasn’t clear was how many drinks were included. Our waitress Debbie was very friendly too.

Decent place to go. Haven't tried the food there so can't comment, good range of drinks, alcoholic or otherwise and the service has always been pretty good. No real issues there from other people, so can't complain.

Bank Holiday weekend,pub and restaurant busy, that said we did not have to wait for our food, which was lovely, service was prompt and friendly, all in all a good experience.

Excellent spot altogether from the large outdoor area and the food. Very child friendly and great atmosphere. Feels like a small country pub but only a few minutes from city centre.

Friends and family lunch, pre booked. The whole party had the gammon on the lunch menu ( 2 x £14.99) Clean plates !!!! Followed by mini deserts & coffee. Great service, comprehensive menus and free parking.

Nice garden, foods good. Only criticism being their real ale is awful (Greene King are a terrible brewery) Gets really busy when Eastleigh FC play at home, as it's the nearest pub to their ground

Got the mac n cheese was lush deffo recommend Waitresses were nice and friendly and funny especially to the kids

I ate here many years ago and the pub was great, food was great and service was great. I've now moved to the area and revisited the pub. I've been twice for drinks but no food yet. The pub desperately needs a re-vamp. The carpets and seats are really grubby and the toilets stink of urine and the beer garden could do with a cleanup too. The staff are really nice and welcoming, but the cleanliness puts me off eating here or coming for a drink on a regular basis.

Visited here last week for lunch as we visited family in the area. Lovely welcoming pub. Our dog was made as welcome as we were. Had a lovely lunch, decent pub grub. The staff were attentive and helpful. Special thanks to Debbie for making our fur baby as welcome as we were. Would highly recommend - we will be back.

Great little pub. Basic food but nice.

Really slow service, poor quality food. Booked a table for 1.30 as it has been very full in the past on a Saturday. Got a table as requested near disabled facilities. New staff poorly trained as waited ages for first drink. Then after ordering food was told they only had four servings of calamari in today and they were all gone. Ok no problem we went with chicken strips and scampi. The scampi was under cooked served with a handful of chips and the peas we ordered. By now it was a bout 2.30 and the onion ring were squishy too. I ordered another drink because it was a catch up with my friend/ cousin plus was a belated birthday treat. After about fifteen minutes I ask the waiter if my drink was on the way. Pudding was over sweet and overall not a good experience.

Went there today with my girlfriend and her daughter and had a lovely meal and dessert with a couple of drinks, we sat outside in the garden and was a lovely setting in the sun

Food was nice and nicely cooked but on the pricey side for what you get IMO - the sizes were on the smaller side - eg a burger and about 10 chips was around £12 - the sort of price I'd expect if it had views over a river or some other premium setting or if the food was sublime or huge filling portions.

We had lunch at the Cricketers Arms in Eastleigh today, and it was fantastic! Not only was the food delicious, but Debbie also made our visit truly special. From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed. The menu offered a great variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. Debbie's attentive service and friendly demeanor added to the overall wonderful experience. We'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend the Cricketers Arms to anyone looking for a great meal with excellent service.

I, with my brother & his wife, visited for a beer & pub grub Sun 02 Jun. It was about 7 pm in the evening. Service at the bar was slow, so we decided to order food at the same time. One BIG problem was that the prices shown on the menus were less than those charged when we eventually paid. Therefore, the pub was advertising food that was less than it was charging at the till. The young guy behind the bar apologised but stated that there was nothing he could do about it. Rather than make a fuss, I paid but am unsure of the legality of this.

Our local pub, priceless. Good food, friendly staff plenty of space for parking and excellent beer garden.

This was our first visit to The Cricketers, and Eastleigh. The food was excellent and very good value. The staff, without exception, were very friendly and efficient. We would be happy to visit again if we were in the area

Walk in of 6…. Sat and forgotten about. After 30 mins with no contact from staff, we went to the bar to ask for some1 to come and take our drinks order. Over walks a lady who looked like a customer, inappropriately dressed in a summer dress, armpits on show and a pair of sliders on. This lady then took our order and still got it wrong. No1 checked back, no1 asked for 2nd drinks and no1 cleared plates or offered desserts. I then had to go to the bar to ask for our children’s puddings and a 2nd drink for myself. Not once did I see the same member of staff! There were plenty on for the amount of covers. Luckily the food that came out was lovely but the FOH team let the place down for me. A quick lunch with friends and my young son took 3 hours!! With 15 years experience as a FOH team member and as an assistant manager myself, I was less than impressed with the service here.

Arrived early evening. Parking was difficult. Busy with dinners and drinkers. Sat in the sun with a beer and let the traffic go. Perfect.

What a lovely, friendly pub. Went here at 12 noon, we had made a reservation. It was quite quiet on arrival but within half an hour it had got busy. I had a lamb shank and it was the bfù

The Cricks have just started to do breakfast Saturday & Sunday from 10am, an absolute must! Friendly staff, good food, excellent value!

The cricketers were very busy, so took a while to take our initial order but once taken drinks arrived promptly & meals shortly after. Food was plentiful and cooked lovely. Would definitely recommend

Great pub for lunch, good food with efficient service and really friendly staff. Good selection of beers as well. Unfortunately they have stopped selling Stella Artois, which is my favourite lager. This is unfortunate as there are several other pubs close by that do. There is a lovely open fire in the bar area, which is great on a winter's day, but it frequently gets forgotten and goes out. Plenty of parking and and Outdoor seating.

Love it here, steak Thursday was a hit. Service was impressive as always!

Lovely pub and atmosphere! We are local and love it here! Fish and Chips are amazing! My partner hates fish but he has even ordered this and says it’s unbelievably good. We take our newborn with us and the staff are so accommodating and friendly especially Debbie and her sister! Best pub in the area by far.

We went there ,had lovely food but when we left had some cheeky comments from some customers ,hours earlier we were graveside and that helped to make a bad day worse,drunks or the unruly should go home if they can't handle there beer,

The food and service was good . However the air felt very stale throughout the pub and one of the guests in my party said that the toilets in the gents was very smelly and stank of urine .

AVOID ....I was assaulted here by 6 men while out with my mrs after they were verbally abusing her ..I had my ear bitten and had it glued at hospital.police have done nothing but I'm banned....joke pub...

Very disappointed today (16th March 2024).... disappointing response to a basic request for rectification..even worse not a response a regular would expect......absolute let down! Older Review: A fantastic local where you can come in an know you'll be properly looked after. The brilliant staff (Lauren,Lou, Ella, Will, Adien, Dylan, Callum, Brogen ) are the Cricketer's biggest asset. They are not just warm and welcoming but also genial and genuinely invested in delivering great service. Great selection of draughts and seasonal guest ales, also the draught cider in the summer. The place could do with a bit of TLC.

Big crowd of us had a very nice meal, some were 2 meals for £15, which was great. Very good service, by friendly staff.

dog friendly pub with good food

Our visit was ok but our previous visits have been so much better. One of our party is gluten free and this seemed to create a huge problem. The roast was ok, luke warm and unfortunately the gluten free version removes the Yorkshire and stuffing but this isn't replaced with anything so they ended up paying the same price for a much smaller portion of food. Hopefully things improve back to the old standards.

Enjoyed a family meal for a special birthday. Asked for specific seating due to our son with autism, which they kindly provided. Service became a little slow, but otherwise, faultless.

My second review and it comes in at 5 star again overall. Fantastic food for 5 adults, quick and friendly service and water for the two pooches. But I must raise one point: the website clearly states dog friendly and during booking I was not signposted to a 'book a dog' section so I did my best and added this to the 'any special requirements' (or similar) box, clearly stating our intention to bring the dogs. On arrival, one of the two barmen asked 'did you let us know you were bringing dogs?' - a moment of embarrassment. Can you please clarify in your website what is required when booking a table with dogs. If it is there already , it is not yet easily navigated to. Thanks.

Been coming to cricketers for a good few years. Always been impressed by the food and the great staff. We recently had a wake here and again the food provided was excellent and great value. The staff were brilliant as always. Always a positive experience.

Nice pub. Lovely staff. Parking is ok. I had the pea and mint risotto which tasted lovely but unfortunately some of the rice was under cooked. That doesn't stop me from wanting to go again though. Battered halloumi and the steak meals that were served on my table, was delicious so all good

Group of 12 of us visited. Food came out altogether which makes a change. Was better than expected for a pub chain meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful although our L shaped table layout didnt sit well with a group our size. Was cold inside even with real wood fires burning. I was ok but i saw a few electric heaters being placed around. Guess thats what you get from an old building and it doesnt get that cold very often in this country.

Plenty of free tables as we had not pre-booked. Drinks order placed and the coffee was served quickly however the fresh orange was very late and had to be ordered twice!!! The food offer, 2 x £14.95 was good value, and very tasty and excellent value for money. Plenty of parking both at the front and rear of the pub.

We had our Christmas Dinner there on Christmasday., Never again. Our table was booked for 3pm . We didn't get our starter until 4pm. Our main came at 5pm. This was much too late. It was so busy on Christmas day that the tables seemed to be crammed in. My son who was sat on the end was asked to pull his chair in a few times so they could pass by..

Really impressed with the quality of food & the service. Much better than the average pub. Our evening only spoilt by a loud riotous group in restaurant. But that is not the fault of the pub, I would def recommend the Cricketers & will be going back soon.

Has gone downhill since I last visited. We waited 30 minutes to take our food order so went to the bar instead where we ordered starters and mains. Which for some reason they thought it was a good idea to bring them all together 🤦. And never asked if we need more drinks other than the initial time. The food was passable but usually very good for pub grub. Won't be coming back in a hurry.

Never had a bad meal here until Xmas day, service was slow and who ever was cooking the potatoes has no idea how to cook roast potatoes, we will eat there again but never have a roast dinner there, such a shame as it’s a lovely place

Had Christmas dinner at the Cricks, first time not at home, and Lou and the team were fantastic. From the table spread and the small chocolate selection box for the small kids to the service and food, everything was amazing. Great job to all!!!!

Went there for Christmas Day 2023, never again ! It’s was chaos ! It’s not dog friendly like advertised, we were booked at 3 didn’t get table until 3.45 starter not till 4:30 !! No pigs in blankets! Food was ok but not good ! Service terrible! Won’t be going again!

Amazing Xmas day and Lou and the team we're amazing...if it wasn't for Lou going that extra mile to make myself and family feel so welcome we would have stayed home but this place has become our local now 😊 fantastic friendly staff and great food 👍 will b back new year's eve!!
