Great food.... very busy when we went on a Thursday evening....friendly staff just needed more of them.

The food is just awful. Avoid! We had lasagne, and sent it back twice. It was half incinerated and half cold. Our kids had the pizza. A microwave pizza, that must have been cooked max 20 seconds. It was raw. The worst food we’ve had in years. Truly gross!

Booked for a late Sunday afternoon lunch having picked family up from the airport. Have visited fairly regularly for girls lunch during the week but never visited on a Sunday. As always the staff were welcoming & so friendly. I half expected some of the roast options to have run out due to it being late in the day but, no, everything was still available (including extra pigs in blankets 🤭) We all had roasts. They were all amazing. Fresh roast tatties & Yorkshire puddings, lovely veg and plenty of meat. All piping hot & served with a smile. Will definitely be back on a Sunday

It was our 5th anniversary and we decided to go to the Cricketers for the first time, even though we're local. So glad we did! Had a great evening with a lovely meal. Nice atmosphere with not too.much noise or screaming kids. Nick, our waitress, was lovely and took the time to chat . Much appreciated. We both had the lamb shank and the meat fell off the bone. Piping hot and the gravy made you want to run your finger round the boil afterwards! Cheesecake as recommended by Nicky was delicious and we'll definitely make another visit. Under £55 for 2 courses each and drinks which I thought very reasonable. Many thanks!

Actually came here by mistake after booking The Cricketers Inn and what a pleasant mistake it was. Great food at a very reasonable price. Thoroughly recommend.

We have visited many times and love the atmosphere of the pub. All the staff we encountered were welcoming and polite. On this occasion my food came out and it was cold so I mentioned this to our server Nicky and she reassured me it was no problem and had it made again. Which it was and it was lovely. Very greatful and happy overall.

I’m withholding one star because, for the first time, I visited the Cricketers with my newborn. It was the perfect place to have lunch with my team. I was happy when I spotted a corner to change my little one’s nappy but was disappointed that the area wasn’t well-maintained; it was messy. It’s rare that I judge a place by the provisions they make for newborns, especially a pub, but I didn’t find the men’s room quite clean either. That’s why I’m only holding back one star. The Cricketers Arms has a vintage feel yet seems to have evolved with time without losing much of its old architectural style. The food is varied for a typical British pub, the service is quick and easy to order with the provision to make reservations online, and the staff is warm too amidst the overwhelm that comes with a packed pub on Fridays.

I booked a table (in advance)for a works event. We were nicely positioned in a set back section of the pub. The atmosphere was pleasant. I did receive a call prior to the visit that food supplies were lacking however we were still able to enjoy a 2-3 course meal per person (13 people) and I didn't hear any complaints about the food. Our server (Nicky) was attentive but not pushy and checked in with us on a couple of occasions to ensure everything was ok. Good Value for money coming out at less than £38 per head (average)

First time here , didn't have the alcohol that was on the menu settled for an alternative. Ordered the chicken and ham hock pie. With chips and broccoli. Very disappointed the broccoli was so undercooked, almost raw another portion brought out but just as bad as the first. Pie became salty the more one got to the centre. Chips ok as was the gravy. Service by the waitress was superb. Observed other diners food. So will probably give it another go. .

Standard Greene king. Like most Greene Kings pretty good. Trouble is it's the same old.

Saturday before Christmas we had our table for 14 cancelled at another pub. After phoning round and being rejected by a lot of places the cricketers managed to shuffle tables around to squeeze us in saving our Christmas meet-up. Food was tasty and reasonable value and service was excellent throughout. Thank you Debbie, Sandra and team

Had a really nice Christmas lunch with my family this year. Thank you to all of the staff for serving excellent food and making us feel special.

Family enjoyed a delicious two course Turkey Dinner on Christmas Eve. Couldn't fault the food or service. Friendly staff. We will be back soon!

was unable to find anywhere to park in the car park so had to leave car in a side road which is not very secure and made us lte for our allotted time. We ordered 2 drinks and both were wrong and not what we ordered and tookk 30 minutes to arrive so we did not bother to get correct drinks although if I had known their prices I would have as my wife only wanted a half and was given a pint-she left half of it food was ok but not great

My third review although I don't know what happened to the other two. This was the best dining experience yet. Family of 7 + 2 dogs for Festive Fayre menu as a Christmas get together meal. 1. Despite being heavingly busy, staff were helpful, friendly and efficient at all times. 2. Requested bar tables had been specially laid with candles and decor to make us feel welcome. 3. Food was universally loved. This is the only Christmas meal out where I felt the roast potatoes were correctly done. Why not loan your chef to other restaurants including the Forge and F. Pond, in an advisory role? My daughter managed to eat the turkey for the first time ever, it was so nice, as were the festive pies and amazing stuffing. Oddly there was no Brandy in the house for either the brandy sauce or finishing cognac, and the veg could've been a bit more festive (no sprouts & not everybody got a parsnip among the carrots & peas but this is a minor pick-up). Dog treats were appreciated too! Thanks for a memorable experience. Everyone came away more than satisfied.

Had our annual Xmas meal here again last night. Lovely food, excellent service by smiling happy and polite staff, hats off to you all. We shall book again next year.

I booked a table for 12 of us to have the festive menu. The service was delightful and efficient plus the food was very tasty and good value. Everyone said how much they enjoyed the location, the ambience and the event as a whole

Even though they were very busy, we felt like we were the only people in the pub having a Christmas meal. They were very attentive, asking all the time “ can we get you anything, and is everything to your satisfaction. The meal, was hot and delicious, the price was too cheap. They let us use our Christmas Crackers, they didn’t even moan regarding the mess the crackers made. We would go there again. Thanks again for a wonderful dinner

Family friendly, affordable, pleasant atmosphere and staff, all round lovely and cosy.

We ate here for lunch in the run up to Christmas. Head of Service was Debbie who was really good - friendly, knowledgable and easy to deal with. Food was really quite good - the pie, beef bourginion, burger were all excellent and good sized portions. Not the cheapest pub food (hence 4 stars), but as it was really tasty we were all happy!

Had a lovely Christmas meal and we were very well looked after. Nice surroundings and vibe. Would recommend. Competitive price too for a 2 course meal. Very organised despite Christmas, food brought out hot. Loos clean, friendly staff.

Not trying to blame anyone, turned up without a booking, but apparently they were so busy the kitchen couldn't cope. We couldn't get any food or seats. Had to stand around like a bunch of clowns, sipping drinks at the bar.

Very good value for money and delicious food. The staff all went the extra mile, and then went another mile again - thank you for looking after us so well.

Food was good and hot only issue was we were a group of 5 and was put on a table meant for 4 the person who was on the end had no room.

Visited today for Sunday roast with family for Christmasget together. Lovely food great atmosphere and our lovely waitress Debbie was brilliant and so accommodating made our 1st visit even more enjoyable. Thank you Debbie will definitely be paying a visit again

I had a fantastic experience at The Cricketers in Eastleigh during a midweek lunch. The pub was busy, which is impressive for a time when many pubs are quiet, and it’s clear why it’s so popular. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service from Debbie and her team was outstanding. Despite how bustling it was, they were efficient, friendly, and made sure everyone felt welcome. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a catch-up with an old colleague. A big thank you to the team for such a great experience—I’ll definitely be back!

During the booking time, as I was a bit confused, one of the staff (lady)very kind, phoned me at home to help me. On the evening of our dinner, we felt very welcome and were taken to our table. A young lady came very quickly to take our drink order. We were served rapidly, the drinks and the meal, always very kindly. All the way to our leaving, we were well looked after, and felt very special. Many thanks to the staff.

Debbie served us Sunday roast. The food was lovely and the service was stellar.

We were in a large group of work colleagues, the service was excellent. Everybody received exactly what they ordered and the food was cooked well and was hot on arrival. Our waitress Debbie was excellent as was the other staff involved in serving us and paying was made easy even when we all wanted to pay individually. We will definitely be visiting there again.

Soft drinks were not very fizzy, tasted strongly of syrup and expensive. The portion sizes were small, mushy peas were basically mush. Chicken strips were tiny. Service was good however the food was overpriced for what it was.

Nice pub and staff. Good quiz. Really boring, samey menu. Chips, onion rings, batter, breadcrumbs are no good and make you feel awful 🤮 Could do with just a couple of home made dishes.

We recently held a small engagement party with a buffet at The Cricketers and we could not fault the service, food and atmosphere. Everyone came away feeling like they’d had a really good night, so thank you to the team for a memorable evening for the happy couple. The pork pies & sausage rolls were especially yummy too! Enough food was served and it all pretty much got eaten! Would highly recommend.

We had the Afternoon Tea at The Cricketers - it was amazing!! I have had my fair share of Afternoon Teas l can tell you! This has to be one of the best!! Sandwiches and rolls with lovely fillings and a variety of yummy cakes and of course scones. Everything was delicious and fresh. We couldn’t finish it- so Debbie provided doggy bags so we could take our leftover cakes home. Such a reasonable price too! Highly recommended.

Great pub for lunch, good food with efficient service and really friendly staff. Good selection of beers as well. Unfortunately they have stopped selling Stella Artois, which is my favourite lager. This is unfortunate as there are several other pubs close by that do. There is a lovely open fire in the bar area, which is great on a winter's day, but it frequently gets forgotten and goes out. Despite the fire, it is generally cold. Plenty of parking and and Outdoor seating.

Had a lovely meal with my husband and daughter. The food was good and is reasonably priced- enjoyed the roast today! Staff are very friendly and welcoming especially Debbie who is wonderful at her job. She makes you feel very welcome as her guest and nothing is too much trouble. A great place to have a meal and a catchup for everyone and even better for us - not too far to travel too. Well done to the team at the cricketers arms! We will most certainly be back.

The Cricketers has a cosy, laid-back vibe, a bit like a Wetherspoons. The large garden and the simple app for ordering food and drink make it a relaxing place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a drink.

Such great food for such little price. Absolutely worth a visit for a cheap meal.

We went here as a family for an afternoon tea. They have just started doing these events. There was lots of food and a great variety. Very tasty. The only thing that wasn’t clear was how many drinks were included. Our waitress Debbie was very friendly too.

Decent place to go. Haven't tried the food there so can't comment, good range of drinks, alcoholic or otherwise and the service has always been pretty good. No real issues there from other people, so can't complain.

Excellent spot altogether from the large outdoor area and the food. Very child friendly and great atmosphere. Feels like a small country pub but only a few minutes from city centre.

Friends and family lunch, pre booked. The whole party had the gammon on the lunch menu ( 2 x £14.99) Clean plates !!!! Followed by mini deserts & coffee. Great service, comprehensive menus and free parking.

Nice garden, foods good. Only criticism being their real ale is awful (Greene King are a terrible brewery) Gets really busy when Eastleigh FC play at home, as it's the nearest pub to their ground

I ate here many years ago and the pub was great, food was great and service was great. I've now moved to the area and revisited the pub. I've been twice for drinks but no food yet. The pub desperately needs a re-vamp. The carpets and seats are really grubby and the toilets stink of urine and the beer garden could do with a cleanup too. The staff are really nice and welcoming, but the cleanliness puts me off eating here or coming for a drink on a regular basis.

Visited here last week for lunch as we visited family in the area. Lovely welcoming pub. Our dog was made as welcome as we were. Had a lovely lunch, decent pub grub. The staff were attentive and helpful. Special thanks to Debbie for making our fur baby as welcome as we were. Would highly recommend - we will be back.

Really slow service, poor quality food. Booked a table for 1.30 as it has been very full in the past on a Saturday. Got a table as requested near disabled facilities. New staff poorly trained as waited ages for first drink. Then after ordering food was told they only had four servings of calamari in today and they were all gone. Ok no problem we went with chicken strips and scampi. The scampi was under cooked served with a handful of chips and the peas we ordered. By now it was a bout 2.30 and the onion ring were squishy too. I ordered another drink because it was a catch up with my friend/ cousin plus was a belated birthday treat. After about fifteen minutes I ask the waiter if my drink was on the way. Pudding was over sweet and overall not a good experience.

Went there today with my girlfriend and her daughter and had a lovely meal and dessert with a couple of drinks, we sat outside in the garden and was a lovely setting in the sun
