Lovely friendly local, does exactly what it says on the tin, do not expect all the frills and fancies, just a local boozer that is welcoming and friendly, might not be 5 stars but the welcome will be

Fab little pub for the locals and it’s visitors, the landlord and staff are really friendly, great selection of larger on tap and a good selection of spirits and some soft drinks. Sports on all TVs, 2 fabulous pool tables and Dart boards. Large seating area out the back with a swing to keep the little ones entertained in the summer months and little seating out the front. Locals are friendly and you are welcome to bring your lunch in to enjoy as there is only bar snacks available.

What a fabulous local pub, friendly staff and the landlord is welcoming, lots of friendly faces from the locals, Dogs are welcome, large garden and seating area out the back, with seating out the front too. Dart boards & 2 pool tables, which are in great condition, several TVs showing sports & Regular Band night's. Definitely worth stopping for a drink.

How pubs should be. I visited the Arrow and was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome I received from the Landlord Richie and his staff . Friendly locals and great pool tables, a great community pub, I’ll visit again.

Had a great evening. There was a band called accelerater (Ska music) they were very good. The bar staff were very polite and friendly. I will make an effort to go more often as it is the most local to me, and drinks are reasonably priced.

Well if you go by the old reviews you wouldn't ever come here, however this local pub has a lot going for it, the staff are friendly and helpful and the landlord was on hand to help out. There are a lot of events, live bands through out the year and all are welcome. There is a good range of drinks & crisps at a reasonable price, they do not do food, but happy for you to grab a sandwich and have this with your drink. Kids are welcome and they have added a swing to the garden, I could also see well behaved dogs and a biscuit tin for them too. Generally a good old fashioned community pub, were you feel welcome.

Basic housing estate locals pub! The garden area could do with a bit of TLC! Ashtrays on tables would help, as the area around our table was covered in cigarette butt's! On a plus side, the drinks were reasonably priced!

Lovely pub. Atmosphere was amazing, drinks were good and staff were so lovely. The pub has come a long way since being taken over by the current manager. Would definitely reccomend for a few drinks. 2 pool tables that are very well kept and multiple screens with sports on.

Went here yesterday. It is a nice venue to visit, the staff are friendly, it has a nice atmosphere. What marks it down as sadly the beer is bog standard IPA, John Smith's or Guinness beer, which is fine if you're happy for just a pint. If you're looking for a real ale place, then don't come here, if you aren't then yes it's a recommendation.

I have deleted my previous review as this place now deserves an update. Very nice and bright interior, friendly staff and locals. The prices are astonishingly good...a pint of Bierra Moretti is £4.15...which is a good £1.60 cheaper than my local village pub. Live sports, quizzes, meat draw and more. Small, but reasonable sized car park. Highly recommended.

It's ok, good on occasion and great now and again. Don't get too preoccupied with the somewhat strange patrons and there's a good afternoon, evening or night available here.

Looking really clean but it's really local . If you are stranger in this area better avoid cose everyone be steering.

Excellent venue to have a beer. Chill out and watch all of the major football matches on sky and BT. Very friendly bar manager, staff and locals.

Been turning up at the door for 16 years and this pub fulfills all you require from a trip to the boozer. Great people, very good beers and enough screens to watch including special events like boxing.

People have used the car park for years for the school drop off, putting a chain across it it the least community spirited thing I’ve ever come across! Can’t imagine it was affecting the 08:30 rush for them!!

Was here on business just for drinks. Looked after well by staff. Drinks selection was good and well kept. Some of the locals didn't seem to like strangers but otherwise it's a nice pub.

I arranged a gathering here for all the mums and dads from the local school to celebrate our children breaking up. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel uncomfortable. The pub advertises that is it family and child friendly...... this is rubbish! At no point were any of us made to feel welcome! The manager sat drinking and scowling at the kids and was heard a couple of times saying that it was his pub and we had no right to be in it!!! We tried to order food but was told the kitchen was closed, so one of our party bought food from a nearby shop to feed to their 1yr old child.This angered the manager and he was extremely rude to us about it! We told him that we had spent alot of money there this afternoon and didnt see the harm in feeding a baby when his kitchen was shut! He continued to be rude so we told him we would go elsewhere to which he replied "Go on then, I dont care" How anyone believes this is a way to run a business is beyond me! Without our party there, there would have been a maximum of 2 people in the establishment!! I found myself apologising to the other mums and dads for actually arranging the gathering here!! I will never set foot inside this pub again whilst it is under its current management and i will make sure none of my friends or family do either!!! If your looking for a friendly welcoming athmosphere...... this is not the place!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime, it was very quiet, no surprise really. The barmaid was really nice and friendly, shame about everything else. The decor looks like it's mid refurb, but most peculiar. Wires hanging off the walls, half the lights not working, dreadful wallpaper, even worse carpet, and the floor, tables and menus were dirty too. The seats are uncomfortable, boards covered with the same revolting carpet as the floor. No character or ambiance to this place at all. It's as cosy and welcoming as a 1970's run down village hall! The food was nearly average, considering, very nice chips and peas. Don't order the quarter chicken! It was a first for me, my chicken was so overcooked it shattered when I cut into it, inedible. The landlord/chef walked swiftly past us and asked if the food was ok as he continued walking, shame he didn't pause for an answer. I mentioned it when we left, and was told the chef would be informed, a small refund or free drink would have been a nice gesture. The menu is way to big, no wonder the food isn't even up to being average. Having about 20% of the menu items might give the chef a fighting chance. Shame it's such a wasted opportunity. WIth a large population so local to this pub I'm sure it could be a great place, due to the decor, poor food, and lack of care in general I have a feeling it's always going to be quiet and will struggle.
