Had the pork roll but I ended up getting a lot of the fatty bit so spoiled it a bit. Homemade sausage rolls were great, as was the apple doughnut.

Lovely people, excusite pasties and sausage rolls...nice coffee. Very clean.

It's lovely, hot and cold food Nice on the way home from work. Put your feet up.

Probably the best place to get a sandwich and cake in the area. It's always brilliant and is incredible value. Me and my team go for lunch every time we're in the area office nearby. The range of sandwiches and cakes is great. Time it right though as sometimes a big queue due to how popular! They also did us a huge platter of cakes and sandwiches for a works do. Can't recommend enough!

The food is pretty good but the staff are always rude and miserable. It was Karen who was miserable. She was polite by saying ‘have a nice day’ but it felt very forced and blunt.

It’s a decent place to grab a range of different food options. There’s a good variety to choose from. The service is generally pretty quick considering how busy they get. Thought there are seats inside and out, it’s mainly a grab and go type of place.

For somebody to say THE BEST is a lot. My Hot pork sandwich WAS. All fresh. I was slightly daunted by the que, but it went down rapidly. All the staff are very polite, service with a smile. My lady deserves a mention, I think her name was Carol.... Many thanks i look forward to my home made , huge sausage roll i bought.

Came here as it was the nearest place to where I was working at the time and had good reviews on Google. The food and selection are massive, really spoiled for choice! With the cakes available, it can be dangerous for the waist size 😂 For a local cafe, it is much better than others I've been to. When I entered and tried to scan the huge menu, it wasn't apparent that just bacon rolls were listed and felt rushed to order as others behind me. I asked the two ladies behind the counter, "Do you do bacon rolls?" They both looked at each other and gave a sniggering laugh then looking at me. It was like a scene out of Beavis & Butt-Head. I felt quite uncomfortable about the situation and found it quite rude. Yes, it's a cafe, but things are clearly visible on the menu. Other cafes I've been to don't always do bacon rolls, so it's right to ask and not assume. Then one severed what I asked for. Apart from this, it was fine, and I could have rated higher if it wasn't for the uncomfortable experience. I was quite surprised at the low prices compared to others. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I was taken to this little gem by a friend today. I felt instantly happy as I went in. A Hugh choice of products were available, fresh bread and rolls, filled rolls. Hot food like sausage rolls and jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings, to cream cakes , cup cakes doughnuts the works. I could go on and on. The cafe extremely clean 100% and the staff very friendly and kind. The lady that serves us was very patient as I couldn’t decide what I wanted at first. I will definitely be making the drive here a lot. Thank you and well done.

Always a great welcome and the banter is good. The jokes on the wall are corny but very funny, I like the meat and veg pasty and take home some rolls for the family. The cream filled belgian buns are a real treat. Great place

Service and atmosphere can be very unpleasant when a certain staff member is on shift. She's so rude.

Great bakery, the only problem is you want too much!!

We were served by a lovely staff member however when we sat down we observed how another staff member called Shannon was rude to every person she served and was vile to the school children who came in and were very polite to her when ordering… it’s a shame it spoiled it a little

A dangerous place!! The food, cakes and drinks are Incredible, I could happily eat there on a daily basis! Recommend going earlier as there's a reason they're getting this review, items sell out quickly although there's plenty of variety.

Been happily going to this bakery for nearly 20 years food is always great and staff are always friendly which is why I was surprised to encounter a young lady who served me today with a very bullish attitude, perhaps she was having an off day but it made me feel really uncomfortable and certainly not what I expected.

This spot is great for people who need service dogs.Matt was there at the restaurant he was acting very suspicious , turns out hes into beasteality my dog now doesnt have any legs now but food was lovely and warm on a winters day

Completely ignored in the queue. One person in front and then a new person walked in and got served straight away. Not even acknowledged. Walked out. Shame as wanted to try it here as good reviews and food looked good.

The food here is great and the prices are awesome. But today I was served by Molly, who not once, but twice had an attitude and even rolled her eyes at me. I'm going to be fair and give a five star review, as a single employee shouldn't let a whole company down...

What a gem! Went to get my tyres done nearby and they recommended Matt’s Bakery. What a find. A couple of slices and a coffee and I’m set up for the day.

Matt's has to be THE best bakery in Hampshire, it certainly is in Eastleigh. Been using them for the past 16 years. Never had a bad sandwich or a stale cake. And everyone has to try at least 1 rocky road cake/bar 😋

Terrible Customer Service!!! I have just been into the shop geting our office lunch. An elderly couple came in I did not hear what they asked for, but the response from the Lovely Shannon was, "If you cant speak English I cant help you" and then proceded to raise her eyes at other customers. The couple then walked out of the shop looking very emabarrassed. This is disgusting!!!

Ordered a bacon and Brie sandwich only to discover there was absolutely no bacon, just a few crumbs mashed in with the cheese and what appeared to be mayonnaise . Really not what I expected from a bacon and Brie sandwich at all. Most disappointing.

Visited at lunch time with one of my colleagues after hearing good things about the bakery from some of the team I work with on the nearby Industrial Estate. Stood in a queue which moved quick. The server (a lady with dark brown hair) was unnecessarily rude to us . I think my crime was that I misheard her instruction on whether I wanted salad in my baguette. She seemed abrupt and irritated with me and my colleague (embarrassing as he had travelled out from another country and I treated him to lunch). She was muttering under her breath something; just came across that we were a nuisance to her. I was in a polite and happy mood, her response seemed to just ruin the moment. We were polite all the way through, the food was great, but very disappointed we were treated like scum. Didn’t feel welcome and so sadly feel reluctant to come back.

The Bakery is excellent but the sausage rolls are to die for! Can't provide a picture, they never last long enough!

Two lovely ladies on first thing in the morning make sure the shelves are stocked full and the sandwiches 🥪 are ready for you breakfast 🍳 baps lovely smell each morning ☀️ when you pop in and friendly face well worth a visit.

Today, we went to Eastleigh for a totally different reason, but found this amazing café. It opened it's doors for the first time today and we just happened to be passing. We just wanted a coffee so went in. What a lovely place. Beautiful distressed furniture, all the tables and chairs are different. The owner came and sat with us and explained that they have done all the work themselves and, quaintly, all the tables and chairs are for sale, even an amazing cotton reel table. They source everything locally, stopping Costa from elbowing in and killing the bakery next door. And the coffee was really good. Come on, Eastleigh, give it a go !!

I have been here a few time, Buns are excellent and often they have their own handmade topping. Prize is absolutely competitive, the one that complain about price should eat at home or at McDonald. If 2.80£ for a real fresh roll buns is too much, please go to eat at the church of hope.

Bought sausage rolls and finger donut, all quite dry and hard plus more expensive than soothills.

Would have a much higher star rating if they catered for vegetarians or Vegans.

after being asked if i would like salad or margarine, not butter in my sliced turkey sandwich to which i said yes to margarine, cucumber and lettuce. the price went from £2.95 to £4.75! surely not, however i did boycott the place before when i paid nearly £2 for a side salad with my jacket potato so jokes on me for going back. Just be aware if you want a little salad with any sandwich or potato or anything they will charge you ridiculous prices! which is a shame as they could make that back much easier keeping clients.

Legendary bakery (to Boyatt Wood residents), it's a bit retro; you won't be finding Instagram worthy artisan sourdough or chia seed muffins here, but this place offers true old fashioned comfort food in many varieties. Always well staffed, minimal waiting times even at peak hours and decent value. Matt's has cured many a hangover, fed hungry tradesmen, brought friends together for a coffee and so much more for over three decades and you'd like to think it will always be a part of the neighborhood.

A good local baker offering the usual selection of baked goods with a few different ones.

In one word DRY. All of the sandwiches fillings looked as though they had been out over night, there was dried filling all around the edges of the tubs. We has a bacon roll the roll was lovely, the bacon was dry. The very young girl serving looked as tho she had just been dragged out of bed and had slept in her platted braids, she was ether exhausted or stoned.

Matts bakery have just saved the day. My mums 80th birthday trip out for a cream tea was cancelled due to COVID. With not much notice they provided a fantastic platter of sandwiches, cream scones and a lovely cream Victoria sponge cake. Perfect take away cream tea. Thoroughly recommend this local business.
