Yarrow Bridge Pub in Chorley

Me and my family went this evening with my little boy to celebrate my brother's birthday. The service was wonderful, the staff were welcoming and kind especially Chloe who was so lovely! She even asked if there was anything we needed help with as my little boy is 9 months we booked a high chair. Such kindness towards my little boy and my family thank you so much :)! Had evening meal in here when staying in hotel next door. Stayed for a week and found this place great value. Stayed for a week and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Chloe and absolutely lovely lady and 2 men who worked behind the bar provided excellent service. My husband is a wheelchair user and the entire team were so helpful every night. Recommend this place particularly if you are not so mobile. Will be back on our next stay.

This place is unreal. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff polite and welcoming. Guy was charming behind the bar . Didn't catch his name sorry. Was able to play pool and watch the football. Honestly one of the best lunches we've had as a family in a while. Really made our day. We will be coming back. What a little gem

Discusted really. Even ordered a takeaway from elsewhere we were that disappointed. Tables left with used plates, Chair's dated and needing updating. Womens toilets disgusting only one cubicle with a working lock. Toilets themselves dirty. Mould on walls right under where we were or was going to eat. Menu old and cheap looking. Needs a surfear revamp. All staff not wearing matching uniforms and looked unclean dirty footwear, most of them. Would not eat here at all. Drinks ok bar area ok. But for food stay clear unless you are on a budget or want cheap eating.

Great pub/restaurant staff very friendly and good quality food with a quick service

The waitress fondled at visiting dog, then refilled the cutlery jars, no hand washing. The lady did this in full view of other customers. I will be aware next time I visit. This my local eating house.

Very nice food just felt the service was a bit slow! Granted the restaurant was fairly busy at the time but seeing staff standing chatting with customers when you’re waiting on your table to be cleared isn’t great. But overall really good food and all staff were lovely when the eventually came across

Staff were friendly, a good atmosphere, reasonabky priced. The food was nice, drinks refreshing. We were passing through the area, and we were hungry. It is a dog friendly pub. Unfortunately I I didn't have Dave (my dog) with me,! but we asked for a doggy bag, got a cute little box to take for De I only have one little criticism, and I'm not judging, and, I don't know, if it is a Chorley 'thing'. NO mint sauce? We had our Sunday dinner WITHOUT mint sauce! Criminal!

Visited last Sunday for a lovely chicken dinner, cooked perfectly and at a great price, you can’t go wrong here! Garry was serving us, and overall did a great job of ensuring we had a fab night. He made us feel welcome and couldn’t do enough. Thanks again, we’ll be back again soon!

Staff were fantastic came with my dog thay done him a bowl of chicken which he loved are food which was a gammon meal , a steak meal and a scampi meal all good have to give it 5 stars we all had a perfect afternoon

Went to the Yarrow Bridge for a family meal. The place was quite busy and we hadn't booked. Got to say a member staff Eleanor , couldn't do enough for us. Lovey smile and a very positive disposition.

My wife and I just had lunch at the y arrow pub .Sirloin steak for me and rump steak for my wife.Both tough and tasteless.

Christmas 2023 was the second time that my Son and I spent Christmas day being looked after and fed by The Yarrow staff. And on both occasions, we have been greeted by friendly staff; served delicious food superbly cooked by talented chefs and kitchen staff; and been graciously attended and served by attentive waiting personal. Last year we made the mistake of going elsewhere in Blackrod, we will not make that mistake again! We, both, give the Yarrow a full five-star plus rating. And we hope to be back there again this year 2024! VERY WELL, DONE AND CHEERS TONY TUNNAH

We came to Yarrow Bridge for tea. We fed our whole family for £15, two adult meals (Mac and Cheese & Hunters Chicken) and two childrens (cheese burger and sausage and mash). The food was brilliant and the service by Garry at the bar welcoming and really friendly. We will definitely come again. Free pool tokens for Monday too. Extra good. Thank you Yarrow Bridge and all the staff who work here.

As in proved since last time I went good very good service was good

Food was really good and very competitive. There's a lodge at the side of the pub for anybody who does not want to drive home after having a few drinks. Plenty of tables, nice layout and a DOG friendly area. They also have a sports area down one side. They have a good selection of craft beers, ciders and gins. Drinks are a little on the high side, but the prices of the meals make up for that. The kitchen/bar staff are really nice and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Went For Christmas Dinner Service And Food Where Spot On Very Reasonably Priced Definitely Call Again

Went to the yarrow bridge today Thursday 28th December, and although we have been many times before and found everything 1st class, I must say today was somewhat below 2nd class, we had 1 hour wait for food 10/15 wait for coffee to be served, and the staff was not as pleasant and polite as normal, I understand the pressures in this industry are busy at this time of year, but despite the hard work and pressures over the Christmas period you need to keep the customer service priority, not to mention keeping the smile on your face going for the likes of you future trade, but despite the disappointment today we will return in the new year and hope the service at yarrow bridge will be just as it always was before the strain of Christmas, which was excellent, happy new year to all the hard working staff at the yarrow bridge see you in the new year!

Food was great but took ages to come. It could have been because we visited between Christmas and New Year but we arrived at 4, ordered before 15 past and the food (3 adults and a child menu) took just over an hour. It didn't seem that busy but they might have just had a busy lunch as they were out of beef burgers. It did mean we actually had to talk to each other as a group which made a change I guess... Steak was spot on, lots of sides. Two had the chicken combo which they both said was delicious and the little fella had nuggets, chips and garlic bread. None of it hung around. We chanced dessert which did come within 15 minutes, and was spot on. Including a couple of drinks each came to over £80.

We came in for a meal with family, and we came in and ordered straight away. The food was fantastic, but the staff member kept coming over every 5 minutes trying to take plates from those who were finished, even though some of us were still eating. They even tried to take my husbands pint out of his hand when he had not finished, and when challenged, they gave us verbal. We come in here often for family functions and never had this problem. Needless to say, we won't come back here.

This has got to be the best pub meal I have ever had and a great pint also, only down size is I'm only here for one night.

Came with my partner for the second ever time and the food came to the table after an annoying 45 minute wait (the pub wasn't that busy to be honest) but the food came as it was stone cold and I was given the wrong...

Come here quite often and never seem to have a problem, but came a day ago with my boyfriends family and we’ve all suffered with severe food poisoning, we believe it was the chicken . Was a lovely visit , everyone polite as usual but…. This food poisoning is one of the worst I’ve ever had , we’re all incredibly unwell. Sad to say we won’t be coming back :(

It’s a bit annoying that all the tables are always reserved, they need to have a section for walk in only. Other than that, for what you pay, the foods spot on.

Ordered Gammon Skillet. Was not very nice . Too much pepper. Peas were hard and tasteless. The chips and egg were OK. I won't be back there though.

Visited the yarrow bridge tonight September 19th for a birthday meal the staff siobhan Rob and maisie were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble food was excellent and what a lovely evening we all had will definitely be visiting again thank you

Had breakfast here had the full English was nice, service was good and good value for money.

Would have given a 5 star except that having stated my allergies to the bar staff when placing my food order I.e. highly allergic to tomatoes and eggs. They delivered my meal with a tomato, they promptly took it away and made a fresh meal....

Very disappointed says dog friendlybut it does not say you have to sit in the bit where snooker and football and loud noise from drinkers go....my 12 year old dog was on edge. With all the noise , wont go again

Absolutely amazing meal with friends today, sat outside waiting enjoying the weather and the table was booked for 3, got a window seat and I had scampi and salad. My 2 friends had gammon and steak we had coffee outside. Its was beautiful and cheap! The staff were great, making sure we were OK and the food was good, great ambiance, ill be going again

Real tale of two halves. We booked a table but it wasn't ready. Food took an hour to arrive. The Jamaican stew was very good. The pie crust was inedible and rock hard. Friendly but very stressed staff. Quick service on drinks orders. Desserts were good but one dessert was served 5 minutes after all the others. Will give another chance but am not rushing back

We've not been in for many years & up near Chorley, so decided to call in. It was busy(school hols) waitress apologised saying there was a 40 min wait. We placed our order & waited no more than 20 mins. Food was reasonably priced & delicious. Would highly recommend & will be going again very soon

Large Greene King pub with decent pint of Landlord (Taylors). Good food and reasonably priced especially if you pick the deals.

Went we last night fir my sins 30th birthday. We precooked our table but when we got there they got my booking wrong but they soon rectified it and we was soon sat at our table. I'd like to thank all the staff fir being so helpful and so friendly especially Gary. He did a amazing job looking after us and bringing in the birthday boys cake. The food was amazing too. Have been here a few times now. Good hot food. However this time I had a chicken breast with cheese and bacon. Would have been a five but the chicken breast was small and rubberey. Not much taste to it .

Pleasant enough community locals. Bustling on a quiz night. Didn't eat. Bar staff seemed more interested in socializing than serving.

Really nice food although it can get very noisy at times when busy Update: past few times the food waiting times seem to be very long and the quality of the food seems not as great as when it's quiet. Update2: (revisited Thursday 20th) had to walk out as no tables available, no idea why there is reservations 3+ hours later on most tables, can't sit anywhere! I think this is terrible and should really be rethinked as you could easily seat people and eat and finish within even 2 hours, why are almost 90% of tables reserved for that long in the evening? You should have walk in tables available as well as reservations, it made me a little mad as we came here and had to go else where, we had multiple staff walk by us and not even greeting or asking us if we needed help, unfortunately the service and staff are going deeply down hill :(

We go here for most family occasions. The food is great and plenty of it, well above what you would expect for the prices. Last time there was 17 of us for a 21st birthday and no one had a single complaint. The staff always go out of their way to make sure you have a good time.
