Yarrow Bridge Pub in Chorley

My family and I visited this evening around 615pm. I was told we had a wait of around 30-40 minutes for the food which was fine. Kid’s salad came - was shrivelled and dry. Some awful past-it’s-best lettuce with a few carrots. Sent back received fresher replacement. Medium-well sirloin steak still bleeding. Sent back and returned some time later after everyone had nearly finished dried up. Very poor. In no rush to visit again any time soon.

Food very tasty, small wait to get severed as at the time limited numbers on the bar. App has slight ordering issues so had to go to the bar. Will visit again as both times recently food was very good.

Excellent breakfast. Good quality food at a reasonable price with friendly and helpful staff.

We have been many times before and never had an issue but last night ordered sizzler rump steak. It was full of fat and very chewy. I told the waitress who said she would get the manager. She then came back and said the manager was busy and offered an array of things free of charge or a refund. (The pub was not busy so not sure why the manager did not come.) I asked for the refund and received a partial amount. I was not happy with this as the meal spoilt the evening. I have never heard of a partial refund before and wondered was this Green Kings new policy. We will not be going back. Why ask me to email then ignore it !!!!!

Been to this place many times and never had any problems. Until we went on friday night and I ordered the boneless chicken. Been layed up all weekend with food poisoning. Reading the other recent reviews it looks unfortunately like the food standard is slipping.

Visited to celebrate my partners birthday with my two daughters on Tuesday evening. Both my girls ordered the same meal, chick n mix meals with boneless chicken wings. Both now quite ill with food poisoning after eating this meal.

Tasty and fresh, friendly staff

Can't beat this place for the family meal at good, competitive prices for food and drink. There is plenty of inside abd outside seating. Some nachines for the kids amusement but not inhibiting to the adults sat at tables. Good views of sport on large TVs.

Seems to be going downhill again this place!

One of the best pub meals ever my parents always loved it here sadly dad past away but we still bring mum as she loves the food and memories the gammon is the best we tasted .staff always helpfull thank you be back soon Gordon

Grandson's 17th birthday lovely family meal, very enjoyable

First time visit to Flaming Grill at Yarrow Bridge. The staff are very friendly and I had an excellent pre-theatre meal.

Food was hot good sized portions and friendly staff. Had a good laugh with them and nothing was too much hassle. Definitely go there again

I was very impressed. Got the 2 meals for about £15. The pie and chips was perfect and my friend enjoyed the gammon. Highly recommend.

Every Thursday evening is quiz night at Yarrow Bridge. It alternates between a paper quiz one week and a smartphone quiz the next. The smartphone quiz is free to play and there is the option to take part in Music Bingo. Thursday night food deals include BOGOF on burgers and 2 pub classics for £13.49

We regularly visit here..family meals, date nights, breakfasts, lunches even my sisters baby shower. Always good food. Always greeted with smile's. Tonight we had booked in for a family meal at a certain table and did not realise a 30th birthday event was happening at the same time. Big shout out to Sarah who served us arlt the bar. Calm cool and collective. Very professional. Very attentive when listening to my order (a family of 5 all with ADHD and sensory issues) she was amazing! Went Above and beyond to assist us in moving tables due to the party of loud sweary individuals. All done with a huge smile! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! ☆☆☆☆☆☆

Very friendly staff, even on an extremely busy Thursday . There were a lot of reserved tables but the cheerful bar lady found us a table no problem. The food was really good, would definitely recommend. Everything was clean and very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back 😊

Staff are always attentive and food is extremely good for price

We came as a group of 8 yesterday and the service was shocking as the table was not even set for us and we'd book in October for the meal . Once we was sat at the table we waited nearly an hour for our starters . Then as we had finished our starters we had to ask staff if our main meals was ready and the starter pots was still on the table . And when the meals came the turkey meal was cold and uneatable and the steak meal was like rubber . Then once we had finished the main meals the staff was bring the deserts to us with the plates from the main meals still on the table . Usually the staff are very good and will ask if everything is OK, not one member of staff as us as we would have raised our concerns with them at the time . And I understand its a busy time of year but we have been coming to the Yarrow bridge for year and on boxing day as a family . This as put us off from going again and we didn't leave a tip unlike on previous times . NEW you say to email on the email address you give and it won't send it . I've even got it your email address off your website and it still won't send it .

Very good 2 mains 2 puddings tea and a lime soda for £20.

I really can't speak highly enough about the Yarrow Bridge!The staff are simply amazing ! Sarah is so obliging and always smiling ,nothing too much trouble for her ,Gary and Eleanor ,and all the other staff team ,whose names I do not know ,go out of their way to make our group of people with sight loss feel so welcome and all the staff really do "go the extra mile "! We all enjoyed excellent meals over the Christmas period ,served piping hot ,and such good value for money. Always a pleasure to visit the Yarrow!Thank you so much to you all ,and see you again soon!

Average food, high prices and absolutely shocking excuse for bacon on a burger. Two of us had the smallest sliver of Bacon. Unsure how the chefs thought that was acceptable.

Kids loved it, great food what more can you ask for

Terrible service. Waited for half an hour before staff asked if we were ready for our starters which we had pre ordered. The starter was fried so long I feared that I would break my teeth. The main course was dried up, roast potatoes had been left in the oven for about 3 hours, never came to ask if we wanted sweets which we wouldn't have had as we couldn't wait any longer. Forgot to take the deposit off which we had paid. Never again!!!

Called in for lunch, there's a good selection of tasty food at reasonable prices on offer, staff are friendly and helpful definitely recommend a visit

It was a busy day for the staff so when I got there I had a wait to be served. Staff were nice and chatty and just think they had been rushed off their feet. Nothing to stop me returning and I will be back.

I attended today as part of a group of 16. It was my 1st ever visit. I had the garlic mushroom and cheese bake with chips and gravy. (Peas on my plate ... No thanks) Anyway it was absolutely delicious. Plenty of cheese, and mushrooms. Could taste the garlic. The pastry was very easy to cut. When served, my meal looked appetising. The gravy was a lovely thick consistency. Plenty of it to cover the chips. (Is it suitable for vegetarians though please?) Too late now I know. If ever I get opportunity to go again. Would not hesitate to have the same meal again. And if the gravy's not vegetarian. I'd use ketchup on my chips instead. Being vegetarian. I don't know about recommendations of the other dishes. I could see though. Others in group had gammon. And it looked a good chunky juicy piece.

Cheap but not cheerful ! Really basic food , just heated up rubbish if I’m brutally honest! On the mix grill The chicken is like plastic / fake chicken. A lot better places for the same money , really basic food but nice pub and Guinness is ok

A cracking pub with a nice atmosphere, plenty of parking and lovely staff with great value, tasty food to boot. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

I recently visited the Yarrow Bridge Pub in Chorley, and overall, it was a great experience. The pub is spacious and comfortable, with a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. I was staying at the hotel next door and decided to pop in for breakfast. The price was excellent, and I appreciated the bottomless coffee, which was a nice touch. The food was tasty and satisfying, though it arrived a little colder than I'd hoped. The hash browns were hot and crispy, so it seems like the rest of the meal might have been plated a bit too early while they finished the hash browns. Despite that, for the price, it was still very much worth it. The warm welcome and laid-back vibe make the Yarrow Bridge a solid choice for anyone staying nearby or just passing through. I'll definitely return next time I'm in the area!

I love coming for the vegan burger it's one of my favorites. My husband enjoyed the chicken burger and it's great value for money

Profiteering from charity walk We were charged £15.15 for 4 Half's of moretti This seemed excessive, especially as jingle all the way is a charity walk for derian house hospice

great customer service we was served straight away by Anthony and was made feel welcome. The food also never fails not a bad word to say about this place or the staff

Staying at plaza Hotel next door to them they advertise a closing time of 11.00 but tonight like last week the member of staff who's on this night can decide to shut 50 mins sooner, every other night fine when the managers on when he's on the staff sit around talking they are definitely wasting money employing this person had just booked for Plaza on booking.com for Christmas week luckily with free cancellation will be changing to Hartwood Hall Chorley instead

Most of the main meal food was ok however we also ordered a sharer starter to come out together with the mains. It was cold sadly. We weren't asked at any point if the meal was ok.

Catered for 18 ramblers, serving us quickly and everyone enjoyed the food. I had the individual steak pie and even the gravy was good. Efficient and helpful staff.

What a hidden gem. Now we have found it. We have put it in our favourites on the sat nav.

I go here often for food and consider it my local. Food is always dependably good and it’s cheap. The staff are great. I come here on my own with my baby son sometimes for brekky and the staff always go above and beyond to help me out. They’re always good on an evening or weekend when it’s rammed busy too. Food I had was mint. some Chicken Tikka thigh thing from the grill menu. Staff are sound. Only issue I had was that I ordered a long island iced tea pitcher from the app and they don't do it. Got something else instead. Chill Sunday lunch. Not sure what it's like at other times. Oh, and they, inexplicably, charge the same for a Neck Oil shandy as a pint of it?

Food absolutely fantastic and very reasonably price. Friendly staff behind the bar. July 2024 - busier today. Some of the food orders were incomplete but quickly rectified. Wasn't impressed with the hunters chicken. Defo won't be ordering that again. Apart from that staff again was brilliant

Food well priced and portion size is good , seem to have offers on main meals which is good, and my dog was well behaved in their dog friendly area, staff where friendly and professional as very busy serving.

Very busy even mid week! Brilliant food lovely staff. A little over priced on beers but not as expensive as other places I've been. I had steak which was ordered medium but was a bit over cooked. It's great being served on a sizzling platter to keep it hot, however it cooks it more than it needs after the cooking itself.

We went for a Father’s Day breakfast today, as usual the food was great, the staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you. I don’t have a huge appetite so the let me have a child’s portion which is great.If it’s a breakfast or a full evening meal, it’s always great. I can’t fault Them. I’ll keep coming back.
