Bure Farm in Cherwell

Shocking service, shocking food. Will never go there again. The waitress was extremely rude, the food took an hour to arrive and was utterly disgusting.

The service here was amazing despite it being busy! Our server Sandy was amazing and looked after us very well! Overall, an amazing experience!

We had a fantastic meal at the Bure Farm, lovely, clean and very friendly staff. Hannah was particularly friendly especially to my grandsons, attentive, checking we were happy with our meals and drinks, she was very efficient.

Wonderful food, friendly staff, perfect afternoon out, the pie was amazing and the fish and chips was great. Throughly recommend to eat here

Go to place for a reasonably priced quality food and service

Pleasantly surprised. Dog-friendly and child-friendly. Very large garden with tables around and nice playground. Dogs welcomed inside also. Prices and quality of food better than expected. Lots of varieties of ale and beer but sadly no true craft options.

We go to Bure Farm regularly. Always good food, and staff are very pleasant and helpful. There is a nice atmosphere. They have changed their menu, so there is now more choice - the sea bass was exceptional.

Decent enough food but the menu is boring and rarely changes. Nice beer garden and playground. Update: It has been a while since I was last there and the only thing that has changed is the staff and the prices. The chef wouldn't know how to cook a steak if Gordon Ramsay was stood next to him/her giving step by step instructions. I asked for black and blue and got white and blue. For the new prices, you'd be better off going to Miller and Carter, (Not a paid comment) at least they know how to cook.

I came here to meet mum for lunch and it was great, lady that served us, "mary" I think! She was amazing, brought our drinks, very friendly helpful etc! Definitely coming back next time we are in Bicester!

Lovely atmosphere! Food is stunning, but you don’t get much for the price you pay. Staff are lovely, take a while to bring your food and drinks, however sandy is brilliant!

WOW.... Where do i start, Firstly, what an amazing place! I have nothing bad to say about this place. The food was impeccable. The venue is beautiful and scenery is a eye stunner. But the best thing that topped it off for me was the service of all the employees, Especially a young chap called Kordy. He was the best waiter i have ever met! He was so kind and meaningful he did not disappoint and met all my needs and satisfactions. This man deserves a pay rise! Keep smashing it bud! and hats off to everyone involved... Especially you Kordy ;)

Absolutely amazing afternoon after a friend wasn't able to make drinks. I want to thank Kordy for his lovely hospitality in making me comfortable and welcome as I get very sociable awkward on my own. Kept the laughter and jokes going it was never a dull moment, amazing attitude towards staff and customers which is always nice to see xx

Great Sunday lunch here with the family!! Nice drinks, lovely food and really accommodating staff. Taylor looked after us and was great, always had a smile and really helpful!!

Told we could get 30%off mains. Misleading menu with 2 courses £14 printed large on main menu which was more expensive. Soup cold - Had to re-heat. Main course pie - undercooked pastry. Not good. Only 20% taken off. Mandy waitress was pleasant.

The food menu has a lot of choice. Drinks menu is ok but a lot was not available/sold out. Servers of food at the table were polite. It's a fairly typical local chain that we occasionally go to and does the job. Quite popular on weekends

Was Mother’s Day evening. However place was not busy. Food took about an hour despite being told there was no delay on food. Kids and wife food was ok. But mine sea bass, was dry overcooked, prawns overcooked and rubbery, veg was limp, potatoes rubbery and sauce almost congealed. No one asked about the food until after we had paid the bill. £120 for 2 adults and two kids, one dessert. and a couple of rounds of drinks. Well over priced. Many other restaurants in Bicester offering better food and service at lower pricing.

Food was good, staff are nice and doing their best, there just aren’t enough of them! Service was appalling slow, despite being a large group who had pre-ordered for a certain time. If you’re not going to get meals ready for the time they’re pre-ordered for, what’s the point in pre-ordering?!!

The waitress - Sandy, was very pleasant and friendly. This made the experience very enjoyable and we were treated with care and consideration. Thank you Sandy, great service!

Visited few weeks ago. Nice restaurant and food was good. Certain items missing of the menu and service was a bit slow but overall would go again.

Who in the right mind gets a couple next to a table full of children when there's much more quieter places around? It was very overwhelming, had to speak loud to be able to hear one another. The food tasted okay and nicely presented but absolutely not worth the price, felt like I was scammed, my god 17 quid for a "signature" flatbread? With just a few veg on? We went here before the new management and didn't like it then but now I wish we never bothered on coming back. Extortionate prices for just a family pub standart. Had to wait for the bill for ages aswell, but no fault of the waitress as she had to serve 5 other tables, you have to invest in being able to pay for a table online..

We visited on Saturday around 12.30pm for my step dads birthday. Everyone was very welcoming on our arrival, but Kirsty stood out for us with her smiling/friendly, happy and confident approach to our table. Kirsty made sure to make us comfortable with our visit, checking in to see how we was, how our meal was, checking if we needed any more drinks, but it was not overwhelming or consistent (as can be in some restaurants) Kirsty is a credit to the team and I always like to let management known when their team offers a good restaurant experience.

We had a lovely family get together. We were well looked after by Sandy and it was a great evening.

1st time visiting Bure Farm , We would highly recommend a visit , our servers Mandy and Sandy were fabulous, polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, food was great (compliments to the chef ) ,will definitely be going back , absolutely brilliant place to eat and chill .

Sadly took a friend there yesterday The wait for our steak sandwich was excessively long When they arrived my steak was the same as my friends hers was well done mine was supposed to be medium rare The bread seemed to have been under the heat lights as it was neither toasted or fresh I also felt as my comments seemed to be disregarded when I paid It's a sham as sometimes it's very good there and then others it really let's it's self down I won't be going again unless something changes

The pub has a great selection of good classic pub food. The atmosphere is great here and allow dogs. Our server Sandy, was friendly and really knowledgeable of the best food.

As a side note: The gents toilets appeared as though they hadn't been cleaned after Saturday nights festivities, and the general consensus from the women in our party, the ladies toilets were just as bad. We were a party of 7 celebrating a birthday, and to be honest, all of us were of the same opinion. Martsons brewery, I wouldn't bother!!

Sat down and ordered drinks within 5 minutes of being there. It was very busy, as it was a Sunday and we got our starters super quickly and Taylor our waitress was so helpful and prompt throughout. The roast was amazing. It’s our local pub so will definitely be back soon.

Visited Bure Farm and was served by Sandy who couldn't have been more friendly and efficient. Popped in on a busy Sunday without a booking and where lucky to get a table, service was quick and food was delicious.

My husband and I had such a lovely experience here❤️ The food was stellar, service / staff was amazing and the atmosphere was so homey/cozy with a touch of fancy🤫 Hands down one of the best Sunday roast ive had! My husband also enjoyed his steak pie and mash as well - plate was wiped clean 😉 Plenty of parking space as well for those whose drive.

Pleasant overall experience. Welcoming atmosphere, with a level of activity that felt energised whilst supporting easy conversation. There were a few menu options unavailable, which were quickly clarified. We needed to chase to have a couple of our specific requests met satisfactorily. But when the wine we ordered wasn’t available, the replacement was excellent. A great local eatery.

Have been eating here for a couple of years and have always had good meals. Now Very disappointed in the meal, usually a good portion size but there is a new menu apparently and the portions are a good 30% smaller, so it looks like the offer of 30% off applies to the meal size not the price!! I don't think 8 chips with a piece of fish half the usual size makes a meal. Will not be using again.

We picked Bure Farm, Bicester from Google, as a meeting point between our house and my daughters house. We couldn't have picked better - we were 3 adults and 5 children (including baby twins) and we had plenty of space on a large table. The food was lovely and the 3 older children polished off their macaroni cheese and garlic bread, leaving empty bowls! The staff were very relaxed and helpful, and there was a play area outside for the children to run off steam after the car journey. All in all, a successful choice and we will return!

I booked a family lunch for my daughters 18th birthday. When we arrived we had been given a lovely table by the fire. The table and surrounding area had been decorated and the food and drinks were lovely. Hannah and Sandy could not have been more helpful. They even have my daughter a birthday card and bunch of flowers. A wonderful birthday experience!

Had the most wonderful Date Night with my girlfriend on Monday night and we were served by Sandy, she was amazing, she treated us so well. Her mannerisms were perfect. Plus the food was heavenly and brought out with speed.

The meal was nice. The burgers were very tasty and a good size, although few more chips wouldn't have hurt. I had a triple roast which tasted very nice. The beef was medium and the turkey wasn't too dry, the pork was a bit bland. There wasn't really enough meat despite ordering the triple. I had a slice of each which were 75mm X 50mm (approx 3 inches X 2 inches). It was nice despite this.

Stopped late Sunday afternoon on the way back from London and wondered if we could get anything half decent this late in the day. We shouldn't have worried because we had an excellent meal, really very good. I am sure the place would have more of a buzz about it at other times, but late Sunday afternoon was never going to be lively.

Not our first visit but certainly our best. From the minute we were taken to our table by Hannah to the time we left it was excellent. The food was first class.... cannot find fault. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes..... Keep it up guys
