The best restaurants serving American food in England

Came here to play pool and was extremely impressed with the sports theme, they had sports themed everything, even high chairs with football shirts on 🤣. Was very happy with this place. Easy 5 stars.

Came here Friday night around 8pm and it was really quiet. We waited best part of 20mins to get served despite there only being three other covers in the restaurant and I had to go up and get their attention as the staff seemed busy socialising. Given how long we’d been waiting we had time to memorise the menu and ordered drinks and food at the same time. To our great disappointment when ordering we were told they’d run out of mac n cheese, chorizo and also most importantly buffalo sauce so couldn’t do any buffalo wings or chicken “monkey fingers”. The buffalo wings were what we were most looking forward to. Thus a rethink to our order was required. We both ordered a Dead Hippie Burger with bacon, some chilli cheese loaded fries and a slaw to share. The burgers are good but nothing special… fairly flavoursome, however, I did think it was arguably salt heavy without the balance of flavours I’ve had with other burger joints. The bacon patties must have the best part of 2-3 grams of salt per patty. Only one gherkin in the burger seems a little stingy or could be lack of quality control. The lettuce was soggy where it’s placed at the bottom of the patties, maybe a meatliquor USP to put lettuce below the meat? If it is… Doesn’t work for me. Loved the chilli cheese loaded fries. The Fries were still crispy and the flavours and mix of toppings worked a magical combination for the tastebuds. The slaw was fresh. Could have packed a little more zing and bite but in the grand scheme of things was a solid side. The Toffee Apple Hard Shake. One word. Epic! The Angelita Margarita was also decent. Would I return to MeatLiquor? I would another branch as I’ve been Brighton before and had far better service and the whole menu was available. Would not bother wasting your time with this one if you want Buffalo wings and attentive service. Food 5/10 Drinks 9/10 Service 5/10 Menu Availability 2/10 Decor 7/10 OVERALL 5.5/10

Oído cosas buenas acerca de manzana. Así que decidimos ir allí en una noche húmeda martes. Nos calentábamos con un delicioso saludo del director, que era muy agradable y servicial. El interior está muy bien diseñado con un gran jardín en la parte trasera, con asientos cómodos y calefacción (que es muy bienvenida durante los cálidos veranos lúgubre! Comenzamos la noche) con un par de cócteles que eran deliciosas. Pronto se trasladó a la lista de vinos que es realmente única en Brighton, tienen unos vinos sorprendentes que son verdaderamente únicas, el Albariño era frescas, limpias y muy bien de precio! La comida también era delicioso, tuvimos unos entrantes que compartimos. . Restos carbonizados, vieiras. pulpo y croquetas. La mayoría de nosotros fuimos el bistec Flat Iron para nuestros platos principales que fue cocinado a la perfección y muy sabroso. En general, sin duda recomendaría cuadra. como beber y local. El servicio que recibimos fue excelente, el lugar es precioso, los vinos y la comida son deliciosos. Ir a manzana! ! !

Me and my partner have visited here every time we go to York, it has yet failed to disappoint us! The staff were friendly upon arrival, sat us down straight away and were very attentive throughout our meal. Recommended dishes based on knowledge and popularity. The food arrived promptly, piping hot and very generous in portions. The quality of the food is definitely worth it. Cooked to perfection. I understand you can’t please everybody in this industry, however reading the previous reviews is shocking, because every time we have visited it’s been perfect. We HIGHLY recommend you visit the Fat Hippo, York. Thanks again!

$18 for some lettuce leaves. What a rip off. You should drop the price/add something to the leaves to warrant the price you are charge. Perhaps someone at the top should go to The Olive Garden to see exactly what you get in a salad for a much cheaper price. We visited your restaurant in November 2021 and I mentioned the price to our waitress. The only comment she made was that she doesn't make the prices!! I wouldn't recommend you at all. You don't even respond to your emails!

Reservamos una mesa para dos, pero, en el último momento, cambió el tiempo y aumentó a tres sin ningún problema. Todos los miembros del personal era muy amable y atento. El vino de la casa era de un buen nivel y la comida. Entrantes eran calamares y pan de ajo y romero, seguido por carnes a la parrilla a la perfección. just found out my go to Sunday breakfast place is closing, why?! It’s not supposed to be the height of sophistication, but the food was always good and the staff are amazing. Thank you guys you will be missed!!!

I ordered American pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs, along with a hot chocolate. 1. The scrambled eggs were cold and watery, and it looked like they were just microwaved or reheated. 2. The pancakes were boiling in the middle and cold all around the edges, the maple syrup that came with it had an almost sour taste, but the maple bacon tasted lovely and was hot when it arrived. 3. The hot chocolate itself was perfect, however the rest of the meal except the bacon severely disappointed me. In all honesty, I would’ve gotten a better breakfast from McDonalds down the road.

Open kitchen, unfortunately sat so I could see in. Cook in the kitchen walked around shovelling food into his mouth and then touching customers food the whole time.

Me and my daughter went bowling and to the arcades and went to henris after which we have had done numerous times in the past and have always had really good things to say about it but haven’t been for a year or so, I’ve got to say I was so disappointed had the nachos and they were awful was literally just tortilla chips poured into a basket with some some cheese sauce poured over it for £7-£8 is a rip off!! I honestly don’t mind paying money for food but I’ve got to say it was a rip off! My daughter had the child’s fish fingers and they looked like they had been fried 5 times!! I literally ate a mouthful of my meal and my daughter literally just ate her chips with her meal, I was going to talk to a member of staff but either they just didn’t look approachable or far too young to be dealing with complaints, such a massive shame they should of never changed there menu and definitely need more experienced staff!

Food was not worth 32.50 ! Absolute rip off! It’s cheaper and better in Liverpool for same type of food. Place looks cheap where you eat, like a 2*hotel abroad! Bar area looked quite nice tho! Even tho cocktails were like juice. Don’t get how the bar is nice but toilets and eating look like an old social club. Buffet food was god awful too! Literally looked like they’d been Aldi! Stingy with the meat too, only offered the meats once! Wasn’t all you can eat at all! Avoid avoid avoid! Only giving it 2 * cos the waitresses were lovely!!!

Food was awful and not worth the money (even with the 20% discount). Poor quality food, presented poorly. The “entertainment” was embarrassingly bad with people laughing at the young ladies lack of singing skills. Avoid, avoid, avoid

Rubbish clearly says you can use your Tastecard on a Sunday but they refused to take my booking.Avoid at all cost , rude staff as well.
