Just reopened with new management to supposedly cook Mediterranean food. They don't even have a proper menu yet and instead use old menus with the old branding from the steakhouse - half of the things they don't even cook any more. So the waiter suggested a selection of mezze for starters between the 2 of us, which we agreed to. It came with Hoummous, Moutabel, Halomi, Taboulleh and weirdly two sticks of asparagus. Each dish was poor, with the Hommous and Moutabel laden with so much lemon they made you cringe. Having just had the starters we decided that was enough and asked for the bill..... The total came to £56 for us both. Yes £56 for some cold vegetarian dips with a bottle of sparkling water. We did not have a drop of alcohol. Will never go back. Embarrassingly bad

Recently reopened with a mix of European and Mediterranean cuisine. The place was very quiet for a Saturday night. Service was prompt and pleasant. The cover includes bread ( nothing special) and olives (exquisite - with garlic and a hint of spices). I had the squid entree which was perfectly cooked and nicely presented with a clever little salad. I followed this with a chicken dish served with pita bread and with side salad. The chicken again was perfectly seasoned and cooked, tho the presentation was a little mundane. The wine selection is fairly limited but the Romanian Pinot Noir I had with my chicken was surprisingly complex with excellent fruit and tannin structure. I didn't have room to do dessert but was presented with a couple of small pieces of baklava which were delicious. All in all a very nice meal, and a place I would be happy to go back to.

We tried the pork ribs and the beef ribs, it was ok. I expected a lot more considering the restaurant's name. I would definitely order the beef ribs again, not the pork. The service was great, everyone was very attentive. Considering food and services, overall experience was good in my criteria yet I expected something else with the food. I found it a bit pricey as well. Not the best ribs I have had and for less money so I would recommend improving quality or reducing the price a bit to be at par.

We found Crib de Rib in a guidebook that came with a local discount package. It was a little out of the way, was well worth the visit being hungry after a visit to Kensington Palace (which it was closer) and Harrod's. I was a little nervous at first as we were truly the only guests in the restaurant (approx 5:30pm) but I will say this was lucky for us as we received full attention of the staff! Our server, (I want to say his name was Roman. Please forgive me if I misunderstood) was friendly and attentive. On to the food choices... My wife and I went the "safe" route with British filets with peppercorn sauce. These were cooked to perfection and the taste was to die for. My eldest daughter chose beef ribs and youngest the pork ribs, both of which were fall off of the bone delicious. In fact, neither would even share a taste!!! My only regret is that we couldn't pack the entire place into a suitcase and transport it here to the states! Best of luck to all, thank you again for your service and hospitality, and we look forward to dining there again when we visit London again in the spring.

Having booked a late table when we arrived we were told that it was too late to eat. It took the appearance of the owner or maitre de to change the waiter's mind. We did stay as we had planned this post performance meal and didn't want to up sticks at 10.30 in search of something else in an area we didn't know. It took a while before we no longer felt like an inconvenience! It would be helpful if late bookings were not offered/ accepted if restaurants don't want to take them even on a Saturday evening close to the Albert Hall. The waiter was helpful but it was a poor meal from the kitchen.

My starter, the crab, was covered in a thick layer of cream. It had hardly any flavour and I found it a struggle to eat. The ribs were of good quality, but no better than from a gastropub. The wine list was limited. The wine I selected was not available. All the wines were overpriced. £42 for an average bottle of Rioja crianza - I would normally expect to pay around £30 for this at a restaurant of this standard. I shall not return.

We wanted to try something new as we hadn't really been out of the house sine our new arrival. besides, it was a ten minute walk from home! pleasant decor, if not a little dark, but you notice it a lot more if you have what for us is a very early dinner time (1930). Staff, and I think the lady manager were very friendly and accomodating. Good start overall. The menu was a little disappointing, limited, which is ok.. but unfortunately some main items were missing from the limited menu, i.e. the fish (some may ask why im looking at fish at a rib place, but sometimes i need to compromise with my better half! (sometimes...). i had the crab as a starter, it was ok at best. nothing wrong with it, just a little bland. i was lookimg forward to the ribs, cooked in their own style (48 hours i think they say) and certainly extremely tender. i did definitely enjoy it. Also a good choice of desserts. red wine by the glass was extremely limited, a Romanian Pinot Noir and a Cotes du Rhone, neither of which i would try again! Overall they have a great signature dish, but they need to work on a few things.

I found Crib de Rib on the Gourmet Society app offering 50% off food. When we arrived, first impressions it's not like a typical rib restaurant. They kept the front door open which made it very noisy inside when a bus or lorry came by.The menu choice was very limited which was further reduced by the fact they were not offering one of the fish or pork dish anymore. We had the beef ribs and pork ribs. The only accompaniment that came with it was some slaw. They were very good. There is definitely room for improvement.

Checked online prior to booking as my friend can't eat red meat and it had chicken on the menu so it was fine to book here. On arriving and checking the menu it had no chicken on at all which I found very silly and annoying for my friend. ordered 2 light ale's of the same and then we were told there were only 3 in stock which was very silly to have so little. The crispy squid was chewy and too crispy - felt like a reheat. The bread was ok but felt soggy. The beef was ok but not as I expected. It was quiet dry but had a pot of sauce to use if you wanted more. Tiny amount of coleslaw on the side and we shared some chips which said "Tripple Cooked chips" but looked more like McDonald's chips. We were the only ones dining at the time so our food should of theory been great. Wouldn't like to eat here when it's really busy.

3 of us went for dinner at Crib De Rib and all 3 of us are self confessed rib a holics. So, when we found out we could get some chilli squid, ribs and a beer for £15 we were pretty happy! The decor is plush, a world away from the theme American restaurants that usually have these porky morsels on the menu. The lager was a tasty pale from Whitstable but steep at a fiver a bottle. The chilli squid was decent, little pieces of tube and tentacle with a light batter served with a sweet, if not spicy dipping sauce. The ribs came with a choice of four sauces, bbq, chilli, bourbon or honey. They were a bit small and gristly with some membrane still attached underneath. A small dollop of coleslaw and no fries completed an adequate yet uninspiring main. There's better ribs in London but this is good value.

I originally booked Crib de Rib, via The Living Social website (discounted food etc). We were going to the see the dinosaur exhibition at the Natural History Museum (see view) and wanted to have something to eat after. Crib de Rib seemed to be close by (Gloucester Road) the museum so I booked a table for around 6pm. It would have been quicker had we take the train one stop from South Ken. However the walk from Gloucester Road tube as a lot longer than anticipated. Once we arrived, the restaurant was quiet, but had other diners. We were seated very quickly. The surrounding were pleasant. There just seemed to be one person taking orders for all the diners present and seemed to be doing a lot of running back and forth. I presented my voucher for the pork or beef ribs with a side order of chips and apple slaw for two for £19.00. Absolute bargain, considering the cost for just one is £16.50 (beef ribs). We didn't have to wait long. Both dishes arrived together and hot. They were presented really attractively, on wooden boards. The ribs were very tasty. The sauces that they came with were very flavourful. The chips and apple slaw all added to making this meal very tasty. As nice as this restaurant was, it is a bit too far for us to come to again, unless we were in the area again. However if you live nearby or close than East London, then would recommend. According to reviews, this restaurant has been updated. Nice surroundings. Has a downstairs area, which is a little dark, but cosy.

Very average restaurant. Staff quite friendly but food was very average. You should not put descriptions of food that were mis-leading. If you state on the menu that your chips were 'Triple' cooked then please do not supply McDonalds frites. Was too full for desert, but the table behind us ordered some and they looked fantastic. At first the service was a little brusque, but our server warmed up and became friendly and jovial which we enjoyed. The food was good; not outstanding but worth the money. The restaurant is a a modern and light (on the ground floor) dining area witha basement level dining room also. We had the cheese bread and the chilli squid to start, the bread would virtually double for two to share and the squid was very tasty and a good size. For the mains we had the sirloin and this was excellent however I went for the beef rib which was superb. As we dined early we one table of about five or six so the service was attentitive and our main waiter was very informative on food choice and advising regarding portion sizes etc. With the deal that was on this was an a tremendous experience, even withougt it i think it would qualify for a low 4 star score on the value.

Quite a few restaurants on opentable tempts you with that but when you are there the menu is different. The wine we wanted were out of stock but I think later on some of the diners did have it. The prices are also different from the menus on the opentable website. Surely this cannot be right. I gave up desert as it took too long to take my order. I could not have eaten a starter and main ( the offer stated starter and main for 50% discount, but we were allowed to have just mains, thankfully.) The meat was tender but slightly under-seasoned. The chips were ok, but were the weakest element. Properly cooked fresh chips rather than oven fries would have lifted the meal to excellent. I booked this 20mins before we arrived on Open Table. The reviews were mixed but I thought we should try it anyway as it's pretty local. It was 20:30 on a Saturday and there were only one other couple in the restaurant - crazy! The waiter was very sweet and apologetic that it was so quiet. He was working the whole place by himself (Serving, bar and etc) and still managed to smile through it. They didn't have Aperol to make the drink I wanted which surprised me as they seemed to have a pretty fancy bar. We were slightly nervous due to the lack of other diners that perhaps the food wasn't any good - HOWEVER.... the Pork Ribs were some of the best I've ever tried and the fillet steak was delicious. Roasted Veg on the side and Mash were great, creamed spinach a little watery. Overall the food and service were great - it was just dead!

We were recommended to come here for cocktails and I can honestly say they were the best cocktails I have ever had, and I have had a ton all across the world. Delicious flavours, all very different (we were three people and had different ones). We did not eat there as we had a reservation elsewhere, and is was rather quiet on the lead up to Christmas sadly, which is a great shame, as we had a nice chat with the manager, who is also the cocktail maker I believe. If this restaurant doesn't work out, he should open a cocktail bar and specialise in what he does best, simply amazing. I will go back when I return to London in May, simply for the cocktails.

Crib de Rib was recommended by a friend to me a while ago and this was the second time I have been. Atmosphere is good, the decor is different but in a good way. I would recommend this place for any type of situation really. Last night was equally good, it's always a good sign when you struggle to choose anything off the menu because you want it all...so we decided to share our starters and went for tuna tartare, steak tartare and chilli squid! They were all incredible. I love steak tartare and I honestly couldn't believe how good it was so had to ask the manager how they do it, keen to copy at home! Lovely guy and he told me everything! Similar greedy issue for mains so we had ordered a selection of beef ribs, pork ribs and a steak! Now, I'm always a bit sceptical about ribs because I want more meat but the way they slide off the bone here is incredible and the beef short ribs were so succulent. The steak was my favourite and I'm not even going to comment on how good it was, if your reading this, look at the picture I've uploaded, book a table and go and taste it yourself. I've been to Goodman's, Hawksmoor etc. I love steak. Just incredible. For desserts we had apple crumble and a dark chocolate cheesecake, I was too full and not big on desserts but I had a sneaky bit of each and they were lovely. Finally - they serve great beer - Whitstable Bay (blonde). I didn't have wine either trip so I can't really comment. Really couldn't fault this place, can't wait to go back.

Starters of scallop salad, fried squid and beef tartare prepared well. The beef ribs were large and unfortunately were as tender as the previous occasions and very chewy. Very disappointed. Good friendly service. Based on this third time, unfortunately I would not recommend Crib de Rib

Bought a voucher on Amazon local mainly because of the photograph of the ribs - which looked nothing like the ones we were presented with! Booked a table for 2 at 4pm this is when I was told the dinner menu started. We were not able to have a cocktail which was part of the deal because we were there before 6pm and the waitress couldn't make cocktails. We had a glass of red wine instead. The chilli squid was good, the ribs were nothing special which was a surprise as it is a RIB restaurant and why I chose the restaurant. The pannacotta tasted ok but was so rubbery that I only managed a couple of spoonfulls. The ice cream was basic. Tiny amount of basil sorbet but tasted nice. I was jolly glad that I hadn't paid more than the £35 I paid for the deal Overall very disappointing and wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Certainly won't be going back.

What is it about restaurants on Sundays in this area ? We booked a table and on arrival the first words out of the waitresses mouth was 'I must check with my manager if we can seat you'. There were two tables with diners - the rest of the place was empty. When I told her we'd booked she gave us a table and then explained that they 'didn't have much food' - the only things left are steak and ribs. OK for me as I was planning on steak but the other half was a bit disappointed. Had it not been freezing outside we might well have left right then. We both had steaks - and my girlfriend ordered a Roquefort sauce. They brought out peppercorn. God knows what they are like when it's busy ! That said my filet was delicious and cooked to perfection. Had we been made to feel welcome rather than an annoyance I would have rated the place higher.

I booked dinner for 2 with 50% off the food. The first impression was that the restaurant was very quiet even for a Wed evening. The young lady welcoming us was lovely and very attentive. She provided a great service and was extremely friendly, for me was the highlight of the restaurant. Everything else was quite average, the food took a long time to be ready despite them having only 2 tables eating. Ordered chili squid, bread with cheese and beef ribs, not particulary tasty, found it plain. Ribs had too much meet and didn't taste great. With the 50% discount is a good deal though

This is the second time I have been to Crib de Rib and food especially the ribs and steaks were well prepared. Friendly efficient service. The only disappointing aspect was they no longer provided the 4 sauces when ordering ribs. Very good nevertheless and 50% discount deal on the food is always a bonus

At first my husband and I weren`t impressed when we pre-booked through opentable and they wanted to seat us in a corner in the bar area. Considering it was a dinner to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary that really put me off right away especially because they weren`t busy at all. So the lady then finally gave us a seat downstairs in the proper restaurant. I was still in doubt but the food spoke for itself, absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection... I was just disappointed that it says on opentable that the beef tartar is prepared on your table and they didn`t, just came on the plate. The wine was superb and the service was very good, the lady that took care of our table was very nice and funny and she showed us how the kitchen works. Highly recommend it.

Some of the other reviews were off putting - but as we live locally we thought we'd give it a try as we like to experiment with new venuesUnfortunately it was rather empty on a Saturday night with only a few other tables occupied. There was certainly no buzz - but good background music to provide some sort of ambienceAnd an attractive cocktail bar - but no one sitting there! The food was good - as was the service. Not much choice of pudding (only 3) but all very niceBut the real surprise and disappointment was the wine list! This markets itself as a Ribs Restaurant - but it has tried to go too top end with the wine and the cheapest bottle is £26! And a single small glass of wine was £7. We will go back - but we hope the restaurant reads this review and makes the relatively small changes required to make it great!

We were a party of 7 who went to the restaurant after a matinee at the Royal Albert Hall. Whilst not extensive, the menu had enough choice to satisfy everyone. Most of the party went for steaks which were perfectly cooked and very good quality. The starters all met with approval and overall the presentation and ambiance was very good. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to others and will go back.

We chose the restaurant because of it recent guise as a Georgian restaurant as the menu online still had two excellent Georgian dishes available. Sadly the Khinkali were off the restaurant menu though the good news was that the Khachapuri, a traditional Georgian dish of cheese‑filled bread, was still available and delicious. We also had the chilli squid which was excellent. I had the beef rib which was better than any Texan BBQ joint I have tried. If the pork ribs are of similar quality they must be sublime. Goats cheese salad was fresh and tasty. The wine list is limited and a little restricted. Being the Wednesday after NY it was quiet and we the only diners, though regardless the service was excellent and very friendly. I will definitely return for the ribs and Khachapuri and hope that they may also add the Khinkali back to the menu even as a special. Well worth the cost and visit.

We turned up early so had a couple of drinks. Nice decor but the place stank of stale cigarettes. We ordered our drinks and my husbands arrived before mine did. We then waited 10 mins for mine. Nice enough staff but service not great and we ended up leaving because of the stale cig smell so didn't try the food!

The Chilli squid that came with the deal was good the ribs were also good for dessert was the basil panacotta with basil sorbet which was very unusual and fantastic! The chap who served us was very attentive even though a little stretched on the night, very short of staff that night for part.On the whole it was enjoyable I would recommend it!

We dined a party of 10 on 27th, food was very good although menu is abut limited. Service was good and waiter friendly but was the only people in the restaurant so lacking an atmosphere. We made advantage of the 50% discount on food which was excellent value, but it was spoilt by the restaurant trying to charge nearly 20% service charge. I was happy to pay for service (although I am not sure our waiter would have seen it) and did, to be fair to the restaurant they didn't argue when questioned. If the place had been warmer and some atmosphere it would have been very good.

This is a tricky one. My wife & I went for a pre Albert Hall supper, the early time of 5:00 may account for how empty it was. My wife had the fillet steak that was delicious. I was guided by the waitress to have the beef ribs, which I regretted. It had the texture of boiled meat & the sauces that came with it were all a bit unpleasant. The 50% off the food helped - I certainly wouldn't pay the full price.

When we walked into the restaurant we were greeted straight away and the young lady that helped us seemed to know exactly who we were and took us straight to our table. We used an Amazon Local voucher but there were 3 of us so I booked on opentable and got a 50% discount for the other persons food. The restaurant was quite cool with its little alcoves and brickwork showing and we liked the mood lighting. The food: Starters were 2 chilli squid and the crab, the squid was good and crunchy, the crab was nice but seemed to have some sort of crème fresh on top which no one enjoyed as it didn't do anything for the dish. The 2 cocktails were very nice and the Whitstable bay beer I tried was very easy drinking. For the mains we choose one pork and one beef ribs and decided to share between the 3 of us.For sides we got some mashed potato and Fries(they were ok if a bit small)The Ribs looked great when they got bought to the table and they were VERY GOOD and for more than enough for 3 people. We finished with the chocolate cheesecake and the banana cheesecake which were rich but not over the top.During the course of the meal we also went through a bottle of red, another beer and an espresso and the extra charge was 46 pounds. So to clarify 81 pounds for great food and drinks for 3 people I don't think you can really miss this place if you want great ribs, service and drinks.

I went to crib de rib for lunch this week and after reading some of the reviews, was in for quite a surprise. After being greeted by the friendly, yet professional manager, more like a relaxed maître d', we were seated at our table and introduced to the menus by a confident and friendly waitress. Both my lunch companion and I chose the beef rib, which at £12 including a drink as a lunch special, looked too good to be true. It wasn't and I returned for dinner two days later! I have nothing but applause for the recent return to form. The food quality, service and value, put crib back on the map. The rib was one of the finest I have eaten.

It was my first time visiting this restaurant and the food actually surprised me. My mum and I went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, ordering the crab tian and scallop salad for starters. It was very good portion and very tasty. For the mains, we both had their signature pork and beef short ribs. They were enormous! We both had one piece of the beef short rib and had to take away the untouched pork ribs, because we were too full. Will definitely visit again in the future. Everything was great.

I came with a friend recently and we had an absolutely stonkingly good time. For one thing I loved the venue - kind of rock-star, funky members club meets American Brasserie in the 40s. The staff were amazing - the young barman Alex was so helpful and we enjoyed two of the CDR cocktails and then when we asked for a Manhattan and Old Fashioned, even though it wasn't on the menu he whipped them up for us. As for the food, all I can say is Wow. We had both the pork and the beef ribs - the sauces were sensational, and we loved the fact there were four different ones to break up the meat. The flesh fell off the bone, and was just so rich and tasty. For starters we'd had a delicate tuna tartar and crispy chilli squid that wasn't remotely greasy or rubbery.Overall it was such a fun night with a great atmosphere, and we found Caroline delightful. I really recommend anyone wanting a delicious meal in a comfortable & attractive environment to head over and sample the meaty delights of CDR.

Very good location, ambiance, service and food-if you stick to the ribs ( a pun, obviously...). Both pork and beef were excellent, but other mains a bit of a disappointment. Most disappointing of all were the starters-although very good, very small portions at a very large price! Desserts were also good, but expensive and very limited choice. Would definitely go again and absolutely-stick to the ribs (and forget the additional sauces-they were fairly awful)!

My wife and I visited Crib de Rib around 5pm on Saturday, so it was too early for there to be much of an atmosphere, though by the time we left, the soft electro tunes were being ramped up by the DJ.
We took advantage of the 50% off food offer with OpenTable which meant that our food was very good value. The beef ribs were succulent and flavoursome, despite a large, inedible fatty section, and the seabass was well cooked with a punchy jalapeño sauce. Serving the potatoes separately would've stopped them soaking up the sauce and going soggy, but that's a personal taste of mine.
The battered calamari starter was delicate and light, whereas the crab was perhaps a little bland in comparison. The standout dish for me was the dessert – indulgent basil panna cotta with zingy basil sorbet. Fascinating and delicious in equal measure.
Our French server was charming, jovial and polite. A welcome rarity in London these days.

All I can do is LOL at this restaurant. Everything from the food all the way down to the general atmosphere and service is laughable. One thing I will never be able to comprehend at any eatery is staff that do not KNOW their own menu. To begin with, I clearly asked for the salad with quail eggs and asparagus. Bear in mind the supposed manager was tending to our table. After enunciating my request four times, I then had to point to the salad on the menu because she had NO CLUE what I was talking about despite my repetition of the words ASPARAGUS, QUAIL and EGGS. Hilarious. Fifteen minutes later I was brought a salad with goats cheese and butternut squash. Both myself and my sister tried to get the attention of waiting staff who were not particularly alert, so we tried to signal the manager who took the order. She was too busy on her iPhone to take notice and sauntered over to the table fifteen minutes later. When I expressed that the wrong salad was brought to me, she seemed puzzled, picked up a menu and pointed to the goats cheese salad description. I shook my head and said I asked for the quail eggs. She didn't seem too happy about the correction but the salad eventually came. Fast forward to the summary...The salad tasted like it was washed in sewage water. The leaves were far from fresh. The medium rare fillet that followed was bland with the only flavour being the black pepper that was sprinkled on it by the only lovely member of staff. The béarnaise sauce was as bland as the fillet. The best part of the meal was the ketchup brought to the table for our fries. We ended up eating the steak with the ketchup. When the bill came we informed the waitress that we would not be paying service charge as we would essentially be paying for nothing. She could't understand what we were saying and called the delusional manager. The manager said they didn't know how to take service charge off. We explained what service charge in the UK is and the conditions that would need to be satisfied in order for it to be compulsory. She huffed, walked away, returned and slammed our money on the table then dramatically stormed off again. Also, the music is uncomfortably loud...probably to distract people from the appalling food.Don't bother. You're better off making a meal at home.

Mostly friendly staff (there's a couple that weren't). Great food. Had the chilli squid, which was perfectly done and ribs afterwards. Overall though, things just weren't quite right and the 50% service charge is a bit off putting* The food wasn't per the menu: both beef and pork ribs were advertised as marinated for 24hrs, slow cooked and then came with a selection of sauces. When ordering, we were advised that it was the pork that was marinated and the beef that came with the sauce. For dessert, we had wanted a "triple cheese cheesecake", but on ordering, were asked whether we wanted chocolate or banana.* Service was a bit over the place: we all got cocktails, but after a long wait, they started coming one at a time rather than together. This was repeated for dessert, where they brought out two of them, waited 5 minutes for the next one and 5 minutes for the one after that* The bill was completely wrong. Dinner had been prepaid using Amazon Local (as a gift); we were supposed to just pay for drinks. They then charged us for the vouchers on the bill (so asked us to pay again!), charged beers at 50p each more than the menu price and after removing the dinner charge, left us with a bill of £30 for drinks and £15 for service (ie. 50%). When queried, we were told that that's how it is if you are there on a gift. They were quite insistent on this.

We went to this restaurant for an early evening meal ahead of a concert at the Albert Hall. The restaurant is well decorated and has a cosy yet modern feel about it. There are a few tables on the ground floor but also more in the basement floor. The welcome by the staff was warm and friendly. The menu in as a limited choice which I like as it indicates they try and do a few dishes well rather than be everything to everyone. We started with the spicy squid and the quinoa salad. The salad was very tasty. The squid was a little on the tough side. For main course, I had the fillet steak and my wife the sirloin. Both were cooked exactly to our order and came with a serving of French fries, grilled tomatoes and side salad. Again you could not really fault the food. A bottle Koh wine and sparkling water completed our meal. The service throughout was friendly and understated. I would recommend as a place to visit for anything from a small party of friends to a romantic couple through to a business meal. Thankfully we were not there when the live music was on.

3 of us went on a Saturday evening quite early and the place was not too busy, they offered us a choice of tables (which I always like) and we chose a table at the front upstairs - a nice table you can observe the restaurant and the street so good for people watching. Initially our server was slow off the mark but she was very friendly and service overall picked up and was at the right pace. The food itself is a good but not lengthy menu and it was all well presented but there is something missing - it's juts not quite there. I had tuna tartare which was nice but I felt it needed to be fresher to lift the flavours. The I had the beef rib - a decent portion and whilst it had a good flavour it was not as tender as I would expect for the alleged 4 hours of cooking - so I think again work to be done. Sides are uneventful and the chips did not resemble anything other than out of a packet. I think with a bit of work this really could be a good place so I hope they pick up the pace and make it.

I visited this restaurant last week for my friend’s birthday and I have to say it was excellent and one of the best places that I have eaten in London. As a vegan, I wasn’t initially sure what to expect when my friend said he wanted to go a steakhouse. I wasn’t very keen on the idea, but, as it was his birthday, I went along with it.However I was pleasantly surprised. It turned out that several staff are actually vegetarian/vegan and the restaurant happily caters for all! They are ethical too, the owner is an ex-Greenpeace activist and makes sure that all of the food for the restaurant is ethically sourced. When we arrived we had a signature cocktail each – delicious. As there was a few of us (9) we were able to have a private room so we had our own space which was nice. Some of my other friends discreetly gave the waiter a birthday cake and after our meal they light the candles and brought it over. Even though my friend is far from a kid (he was actually 30 eek!! he won’t be happy with me for writing that) his face light up!The food was really good. My meat eating friends had the speciality ribs – they all chose the pork and said it was the best they’d had and the portions were massive so they were very happy. My vegetarian friend chose a mixture of dishes including roast potatoes, butterbean stew and seasonal vegetables and a side of this special cheesebread which she raved about. I myself had a gorgeous roasted vegetable soup to start and for my main I had quinoa salad with a side of chips. Considering that I had just turned up without warning they did really well catering for my dietary requirements and they were so friendly and helpful and never made me feel like I was putting them out in any way.We didn’t have desert because we were too full but we had coffee – I had a soya milk latte which topped things off nicely.I would definitely recommend it and will be going back.

I visited this new bar/restaurant for a couple of cocktails and dinner and had a great experience! The drinks' menu looked creative (especially with the names) and I was intrigued to try more than one type of drink. Honestly, I wanted to give all of them a try! I was happy to read something other than the typical cocktail names and common spirit combinations. Then, the food came and the ribs were amazing, so soft I didn't even use my knife! The taste of the meat was spectacular and the cooking perfect. This is a place in west London and considering the context, I was happily surprised to see that the staff was so friendly and easy-going that made me feel comfortable and not worrying if I would reply with a 'yes' or a 'yeah'. Quality of service lies in the essence and this restaurant definitely has plenty of that!Even though, I consider myself a demanding customer when it comes to service, I was glad to see that the staff was willing to make my experience at their premises unforgettable! A big plus is also the house DJ playing funky tunes, which significantly contributes to the whole atmosphere of the bar upstairs! We ended up having more drinks after dinner and had a great time.I will be going there again for sure and I highly recommend it.
