Avenue Bar & Lounge in Kensington and Chelsea

Such a lovely experience. Everyone who works there is so kind and so attentive. Food is really good too. Thank you!

The person who seemed to be the supervisor (tall indian guy) was just out of sorts and rude. Tried to order some some drinks at this bar but he asked me to sit down. I was at the bar anyway so said I can take the drinks now. Then he ignored me and was looking at the till for a while, and then he just walked at the back without saying anything and I could hear him speaking to someone else and being rude and saying something about 'stupid customer'. After waiting a few minutes, someone else came to the bar and served me. Not returning there again, with rude staff members like that!

Average overpriced dinner, long wait

Good ambience in the evening and it was fairly busy. Nice spot for a drink. Food is not it's strong point and is on the pricey side. Service from staff was very good.

Long waiting time even for simple orders. They have no clue of what they have in stock or not. The quality of mixed drinks are sub par. All in all a complete waste of time and money

Good position near the exits of the Hilton Kensington. Good choice of drinks and food. Music playing low and sometimes sport on the large flat screen tv.

I ate here during my 3 night stay at the hotel. Most of the food was tasty, everything just needed a little more seasoning so I added salt and was satisfied. The staff were phenomenal! Everyone was friendly, helpful, attentive, patient, and pleasant. I was pleasantly surprised, but appreciated that the food and drinks were not overpriced. I enjoyed the service here and would return in the future.

We ate at the restaurant twice during our stay at the Hotel. Service was excellent and food very nice. Very friendly staff.

We visited the restaurant for a quick catch up meal with friends. To begin with, the restaurant was closed for private events only and we had to eat in the lounge area. The prices were on the higher side, with the mains starting at 17£. We thought the food would be great, but we were mistaken. We opted for beef with mashed potatoes and greens. The food was warm-ish, the potatoes were completely underseasoned and tasteless and the meat was on the dry side. The portions were not filling and we left hungry and unsatisfied. We won't be going back.

Nice place to grab a drink and the Espresso martini they make is awesome, closes a little early but i guess that is normal there.

Saying a bar is nice is like saying it is okay. We had worked late on a Sunday and with few other spots open, we ventured to Avenue Bar for a quick dinner. We were staying at the hotel and this was convenient. Service was slow as it took twenty minutes for anyone to take our order. There was definitely a casual attitude with the staff but we were not going anywhere but bed after we finished so we were in for the night. When it arrived, the food was incredible and we were all surprised. My own lamb shank was perfect and several of my group raved about the fish and chips. With such great food, why don't they pick up their service? The bill took forever to arrive and eventually, we just walked up to the bar and closed the tab. I would give a higher rating for this bar but the poor service would not reflect that.

It was good to pop in for a refreshing beverage after a day of walking in the London heat. Ordered a bottle of sparkling rose (on several occasions during our recent stay) and was pleasantly surprised at receiving a dish of bites with prosciutto-wrapped breadsticks and mini chocolate-filled pastry cups. We were a little unsure on how service worked, so after seating ourselves and waiting hopefully for a server, I just went up to the bar and ordered. They did eventually bring the drinks to our table. Service could be better.

Dinner in the lounge weds evening ordered 3 dishes. Cauliflower soup, salt and pepper squid and crab salad. Soup nice consistency and reasonably flavoured but massively overpowered by black pepper not sure anyone’s actually tasted it. Squid soft, well cooked and nice crisp coating with a dip, food standard. Crab salad and little cake flavoursome encountered 3 bites of shell so need to be more thorough in picking the crab, but a nice combination. Smiley waitress but forgot the order and 3 requests for water eventually led to a glass!

Talk to Alex in the lounge, he's any American football fanatic and will make you laugh. Tell him his new friends from the US say hi, especially if the NE Patriots don't make it to the Super Bowl, lol.

I know it’s a complicated date but having Christmas dinner at Avenue Bar & Lounge at Hilton London Kensington and it’s been one of the worst experiences of my life and I don’t go around giving bad reviews but this deserves a special mention.

As we were staying at the hotel, we decided to have dinner on the premises. There were a few people having drinks and another table having dinner. My husband went to the bar and got some drinks and we waited for the menus. When the menus finally arrived we were asked to make a selection on the spot. We asked if we could have 5 more minutes to look at the menu. The waiter disappeared. Twenty minutes later we were still waiting for our order to be taken. We signalled to another waiter that we would like some attention but he waved us off saying that he would come back. We waited for 15 minutes whilst he hovered around the only other table having dinner. We finally got sick of waiting , went to the bar and paid for our drinks. We told the person at the bar that we had been waited for 35 minutes for someone to take our order. We were told that our waiter was on a break and that was his station. I have never experienced such blatant disregard for patrons. Needless to say that for the reminder of our stay in the hotel we did not venture into the restaurant again.

As mentioned in review of the Hilton Kensington Hotel, with the threat of heavy showers and not knowing the area we chose to eat in the Hotel The bar was the only option, unless eating in the room. Had to persuade a waiter to create a table for us. Service was efficient, and polite. We both ordered steaks, I like rare, my wife a medium rare.. Both were served medium bordering onto well done. We were not offered steak knives. Yes I am particular when cutting meat. To be honest with several eateries close by, to those visiting I would advise you shop around before making this your eating choice for the night.

After being in the lounge we decided to get something to eat but didnt want a full meal. The bar area offers snacks to a main meal so this suited us. My husband had the steak wrap that came with chips and I opted for the Mozeralla Pannini, this came with a side salad and crisps, didnt eat these and tasted a bit bland but otherwise the food was ok. Not particularly cheap though

The food was ok but expensive, but since we were staying at the Hilton hotel we went there once, but not again.

Un experimento interesante! Este es un bar de moda de Londres cóctel que está tratando de ser un establecimiento clásico. No está teniendo éxito. Aunque tiene una zona perfectamente bien comer nos dijeron que era sólo para el desayuno! Así que tuvimos que comer en el bar en mesas y sillas que no eran apropiadas para el nivel de ruido era en tanto que tuvimos que gritar a otros. El servicio fue inicialmente lento pero no mejorar una vez que conseguimos la atención de alguien. La comida estaba bien, pero era muy caro para lo que era. Dos hamburguesas y una ensalada de £97.

I was a guest of the hotel and decided to have dinner here after a long day of shopping. I ordered the pizza and it was okay but nothing spectacular for the price I paid. Nice ambiance though.

Estoy alojado en el hotel, el restaurante está situado en, bajaba a una bebida antes de ir a la cama. El servidor conmigo en mi mesa y tomo mi orden. Un rato más tarde terminé mi bebida y quería otra. Tardamos 15 minutos para que alguien venga y nos preguntó si quería otra. El restaurante no estaba lleno.

Vinimos aquí dos veces durante nuestra reciente estancia en el Hilton Kensington - una vez para comer una comida sólida al final de un largo día de jet lag, y una vez para patatas fritas y bebidas de tarde en la noche. Las dos veces el servicio era espectacular con todo el mundo, no sólo 'nuestra' camarero felices y dispuestos a servir. La decoración es de estilo retro más o menos pijo 60 / 70 - nos encantó (su kilometraje puede variar).

Mojitos preciosa antes de retirarse por la noche. El maitre D era perfecta, muy amable y los bocaditos. No echa un vistazo al menú y aunque no es barato la comida procedente de la cocina no tenía buen aspecto

Dentro do Hilton, o atendimento é bom e não achamos o preço das bebidas e comida abusivos.Pedimos uma taça de vinho, um mojito, salmão e uma salada. Tudo estava ótimo.

Great lounge, access from 6am till 11pm, free newspapers, computer and printer, available, teas, coffee all day long, afternoon tea from 3pm till 6 pm, sandwiches, cakes, juices , at this time, then from 6pm till 8pm, canapés , alcoholic, drinks and some drinks available at this time.

Incredible service is not enough to overcome excessively priced food. I had the steak and my dining partner the fish and chips. Both were ok, although my steak was medium rare when I asked for somewhere between very rare and rare. The side order of mashed potatoes (a la carte) although modestly portioned was very good. Bottom line is I felt it was another run of the mill, overpriced hotel restaurant only in business due to the "captive nature" of these establishments.

Precios más que razonables para londres y un excelente servicio se pueden encontrar en este Bar. El lugar es encantador, vale la pena la visita!

Very disappointing for a Hilton. The staff are friendly but the table service not great. The house red is basically glass of vinegar at £8. The "Hilton Burger" (at £16) decide to be well done (i.e burned to the core) without anyone asking how i liked it, served on a cheap bun which crumbled upon touching. With a bit of imagination, they could have a classy bar here with a nice decor and a menu which is worthy of the inflated prices. But i guess if they get the custom, then they have no motivation to change or even improve.

Staff were courteous and helpful. The Bar and Lounge was the only place to eat, since the restaurant was used only for breakfast. The menu seemed restricted. Dreadful '60s decor in keeping with the hotel. I had the feeling of dining on a platform, with other guests peering in between the bead curtain to look at the television which was hanging over my head.

Well worth a visit, the food was excellent and the venue is lovely. A big thank to Miguel who looked after us effortlessly, that said all the staff were lovely and attentive. Great value and includes unlimited prosecco throughout your meal. This is great place for getting together with friends and couples - having your drinking heads on though!!!

Food was lovely and I'd recommend the Hilton burger but I thought the prices were inflated. A glass if house white was £8-90! Cheapest draft beer £5-00.

Had a two course meal here and was delicious. Nice friendly atmosphere. Staff were very polite and manager was attentive, ensuring we were receiving the best of service, which we were. Would recommend.

We stayed at the Hilton 3 separate times last month. Ate in the bar when we were too tired to hit the street. Service and food--good burgers, pizza, key lime pie, Caesar salad. No complaints. Some days we were too tired to go out for the evening. Close by is Edera up Holland Park a bit--excellent Italian. Westfields Mall is a twisty walk from the hotel, but not far--lots of restaurants there. But in a pinch, try the hotel. Food is not fast, but it is made to order, so worth a little wait. Have some wine and beer and relax. Wifi in the lobby and bar.

Steak was cooked nicely (I asked for it rare, but it arrived medium-rare as I expect in England!) and the chips were good. Food and wine were very reasonably priced - it would have been nice to have a wider selection of wine by the glass, but I'm probably being a bit demanding there.Bar staff very friendly and efficient service - even when I left without paying (accidentally!) they just added it to the room and didn't hunt me down with pitchforks!

While staying at the Hilton, I ended up eating lunch and dinner here. Lunch, when less people were around, was promptly service - a tasty cream spinach soup and beet salad. Dinner, with more people around, although certainly not jammed, was a disappointment. The pizza was overcooked and I was kept waiting for over an hour. For quality/value, better to go to the many neighborhood restaurants just up the road.

Good choice of hotel front of house food but at sensible prices for the traveller. Even saw some me guys come in off the street so must be good. See you guys soon!

Ate here a couple times during our stay. Was a hotel bar with food. Nice place to sit, food was fine. I can't say it was amazing but it certainly was passable and better than some places I've eaten. I was staying in the hotel, so it was a good choice. Can't say I'd make a special trip to come eat here.

You don't expect charm or great value from a hotel bar, but you rather hope for speed and competence. Neither were on offer here during my stay at the HIlton Kensington. Service painfully slow, and when the simple cold sandwich I ordered had failed to appear 30 minutes later, the server said the kitchen was overwhelmed and it would take a good deal longer! This although the place was not exactly heaving with people on a Saturday night. I cancelled. Prices ambitious as well. Suggest you walk right past this lounge bar, out the hotel's front door, turn right and proceed ten minutes east to the inviting little knot of restaurants clustered around Holland Park tube instead.

well i went to breakfast at the Hilton on Shepherd's Bush and was greatly surprisedGood food but excellant service and all that happened before my meeting with a member of the Hilton team so thank you for your help it was a great experience

Great to find food and wine late at night after a show at Hammersmith. Was the only decent place serving food after 11 pm.
