Henri's Steakhouse in Maldon

Me and my daughter went bowling and to the arcades and went to henris after which we have had done numerous times in the past and have always had really good things to say about it but haven’t been for a year or so, I’ve got to say I was so disappointed had the nachos and they were awful was literally just tortilla chips poured into a basket with some some cheese sauce poured over it for £7-£8 is a rip off!! I honestly don’t mind paying money for food but I’ve got to say it was a rip off! My daughter had the child’s fish fingers and they looked like they had been fried 5 times!! I literally ate a mouthful of my meal and my daughter literally just ate her chips with her meal, I was going to talk to a member of staff but either they just didn’t look approachable or far too young to be dealing with complaints, such a massive shame they should of never changed there menu and definitely need more experienced staff!

Massively gone down hill. Looked forward to eating their honey chicken that always used to be amazing. We ordered it and it came out like a kids chicken nuggets and chips meal with barely any honey on it at all. Not at all like it used to me. Very over priced and would have been just the same as a chicken nuggets meal from mcdonalds. Service was very poor too considering only 3 tables being used. Definitely won't be going back again. What a disappointment

Such a lovely meal today. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, tasty😋 and piping hot. Portions were on the large side but loved the idea of a doggy bag to take home. The staff are so friendly and very helpful😊Great atmosphere and enjoyed the day. Thank you guys and see you soon 🥰

The staff are incompetent, when i ordered the panko chicken and and over cooked battered chicken nuggets arrived i pointed it out to the waitress, and she literally gave me a dirty look and walked away. Coleslaw was a grey colour and tasted so bad. All of the tables were tongue and groove and filthy. Complained about My experience when I paid at the bar, to which the waitress, a different one to who served us at the table, said “oh God yeah I know she’s really pissing us off” - about the one who just walked away and didn’t acknowledge comment about the food… yet again, not acknowledging the fact the food isnt what it was supposed to be?! 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️🙃

Sunday saver essex buses we trekked from Chelmford to Maldon to see Promenade Park, the petting zoo, bit of bird watching over the marshland estuary and then a 10minute walk away from town to this Henri's Grill. (The Henri's that used to be in the Chelmsford Snooker and bowling club was really good). Maybe we were a bit early for beers and lunch as the first girl at the bar didn't seem to know if the food dining area was going to be open soon, but just after 12 a few more families came in and the more experienced bar lady took a lot of us over to the dining area and handed out menus. Burger and Lasagne very tasty, great value £9, of course the chips portion was a little small for that price, and would have liked a bit more variety of lager/cider on tap, but overall definitely do recommend.

Me and my family came today as madison heights was reopening after lockdown. So glad it's back. We have really missed the whole centre. We had lunch at Henris, we had steak which was cooked perfectly, carbonara and some kids meals. They portions are huge. and it was fantastic as always, amazing chef we have missed and amazing service from the staff, especially the red hair girl. We will come again in a few weeks. The girls then played in monkey puzzle which we found really clean.

I came into madison heights today as my children were playing in monkey puzzle and decided to stay for dinner and popped round to henris. We saw they had a new menu compared to last time we came. I had the stew, it was amazing and tasted exactly how my own mother used to. The kids were also really happy with their menus and we came away full as the do give quite large positions! Cant wait to go back.

came into main street/Henry's today for the first time since its been back open since lock down. Had a family meal, I had the chicken carbonara. IT WAS AMAZING!! I Cant wait to come back again, especially to visit bowling, skating and monkey puzzle!!

We use to go here alot for a meal and used to reccomend the place to everyone. We went today for our first visit since the refurb and we will not be going back. The menu has changed, they only offer 4 steaks, the portion sizes are smaller and its alot more expensive than it was before. I wouldn't mind if the food was good but the quality of food in there has also gone downhill. The service was slow even though the restaurant wasnt busy. Will not be recommending them to anyone anymore. It's been integrated with there new arcade so random kids just running around in there that arent eating in the restaurant, bumping in to chairs, touching cutlery that's laid out in tables and screaming and shouting. You have to write down your own order and take it to the bar to order. The service from the staff in there used to be amazing but now you barely see them.

Had a fantastic meal for my sons birthday Gorgeous food happy smiling staff couldnt do enough for us . Will definitely be making this our favourite eating place from now on a credit to all that work there. No wonder my son and his family love it so much . Oh you can have a game of bowling straight after too.

We have eaten at Henri’s steakhouse for some time now and thought it’s about time we give them a review they very much deserve. The portion size’s are always very generous, food always comes out piping hot. If you like fresh homemade food then this is the place to go. Nothing never seems to much trouble for the staff. My son can sometimes be fussy and has asked for meals, that aren’t on the menu and they willing accommodate for him.

We have been visiting Henris for a long time and just returned from our second visit since the refurbishment. To say things have gone downhill is an understatement. For 2 of us in a party of 6, the beef was tough and undercooked. We ate what we could and at the end of the meal when the waitress came over pointed out that we could not eat it all as we couldn’t even cut it. Even though we were advised that the manager would come over she never did. When I went up to pay the bill I again pointed out that the beef had been inedible and I was not prepared to pay for one of the meals. The waitress spoke to the chef and retuned to say that he said there was noting wrong with it. I again protested that they must have seen the state of the meat when it returned to the kitchen and was not prepared to pay for something that was inedible. The rude Female manager came out and after a bit of back and forth I paid the bill, minus a roast beef! At no point was an apology made and her tone was not at all what I’d expect from a manager. The young waitresses that work there work incredibly hard which must be very difficult under such poor management! We will never return to this restaurant. Had they been more willing to rectify their mistake and not make us feel like criminals then we would have given the benefit of the doubt. You used to have to always book ahead at weekend for this place, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore, which is not surprising under its current management. We were at no point rude or unreasonable so there was no need to be treated the way we were. Lesson learned and they’ve lost regular customers here !

First visit since the refurbishment and have to say a little disappointed. I had a roast which was ok but it seems the carvery is a thing of the past. The carvery was the big attraction to me so, sorry Henri’s, you have slipped down my list of local restaurants.

Fabulous experience last year, service, food, layout, everything perfect for 21 people.perfect in every way Booked agin this year after recent refurbishment for family of 21, beautifully laid out horseshoe shape table, seated everyone together, all ordered off the menu, all the food came out together, hot and all dishes very, very, good, friendly efficient service, this is an annual special time for my family, as we get together and remember our parents, who have passed, can’t thank them enough for the fabulous time they gave us

Whether we have eaten the carvery or had food from the menu it has always been great. Never been rushed, staff always pleasant.

On Saturday 24th August my husband took me and members of family to Henri's for my birthday. The food, service, and friendliness was exceptional. Thank you to the staff for a memorable birthday, Karen

A group of us have been here many times over the years only to be told they can no longer cater for our group we were going to book a table for 9 people, their loss we will not be returning ever again It is disgusting to be treated like this

A real surprise!! An excellent Sunday carvery . Beef just the right shade of rare. Veg well presented and fresh. Cauliflower cheese first rate. Friendly efficient service. We shall be back!

Messed me about on whether to take £10 deposit each initially. No chicken or turkey available just chicken breasts with bacon wrap round them Beef was too rare for us so had to be cooked more. Didn’t think it good value for money £10.95 for one course. My son found the gammon fatty. Wouldn’t recommend Henri’s, Toby Carvery much better. Chef definitely had a bad attitude.

Me and my partner came for a cavery on Sunday with our baby son. Service was okay. Food was excellent, we both had a really lovely cavery I had beef which was cooked medium which is perfect for me. My partner had pork with crackling which he said was excellent. Plenty of different vegetables, carrot and swede mash, cauliflower cheese, green beans and peas, ratouille, broccoli, mash and roasties. I had a giant yorkie with mine! Absolutely perfect and excellent price best cavery I have had.

Myself & my partner recently dined at Henris Steakhouse in Maldon. We were sat promptly & ordered our drinks.

Best carvery we have ever had. Meat cooked to perfection, the selection of vegetables were great & they were all piping hot. Huge Yorkshire pudding too. Homemade apple pie & custard for dessert. All the family enjoyed their meals. We will definitely be back soon.

Possibly the worst carbonara to ever be served, it was watery and tasted like egg and off milk and I had to specifically ask for cutlery. In fairness this was taken off of our bill, however the fact this was served in the first place is beyond me.

Booked a table for 4 sat down it was not the busy we waited for our friends waitress came took our drinks and food order the starter 3 of us had was declious and hot the other person had prawns which she said was lovely main course I ordered chicken carbonara it was terrible swimming in grease and no sauce called the waitress over she said sorry and did I want some else I said no very disappointed and won't be going again

I have been here nearly every month for the last couple of years and the carvery has been fantastic. My last visit was very disappointing they have stopped doing turkey and instead offer chicken wrapped in bacon to me not really a carvery choice. The choice of vegetables was not great, the roast potatoes not crispy and the new potatoes very soggy. No green veg or carrots in sight. Such a shame.

Popped in for a coke and chat with a friend. It wasn't too busy but there was one staff member that needed calling to for service - she was 'sour faced' to be troubled by a customer. Simple request for 2 pints of coke, off she went and started to pour the coke in to the glasses and we wasn't even asked - 2 x cokes £4.20. When we asked about the pump coke we were told that it was out, she really didn't like having to explain herself. So my friend pushed and asked what the price of pump coke was in there and she snapped back and said it's exactly the same!? She was rude, very unprofessional and uninterested - she certainly had no business working in a retail environment. Gave me no interest in going in there for a meal after that experience.

You wouldn’t expect it on walking in the Madison Heights Complex as it is a bit run down but Henris is a gem. Lovely food, Carvery is delicious and good prices too. Blows other Carverys out the water. I expect the other food is lovely too. Certainly looked good.

I have had people telling me that Henri's was a good place to eat once you got past the terrible entrance way. They were right. Waiting staff were efficient and friendly. The food (we chose carvery) was tasty and plentiful. We will be using Henri's again.

Went to go bowling and was told they would have to ask the group that was there if we could play. Then told we could only bowl when they weren’t! How utterly ridiculous! Rude staff too!

Went for birthday meal with family. Brilliant choice of food, especially the starters. Very efficient service and quick delivery of meal. My husband said his sirloin steak was the best he had had in a very long time. Will definitely be going again very soon.

We took our grandson to Monkey Puzzle then went into Henri's Steakhouse for a carvery on a Sunday. The staff could see I was trying to get organised with a toddler.

Popped in mid week for a quick bite, had a choice of normal menu or carvery. Opted for mixed grill which came up piping hot and too big for us to handle. Waitresses were very friendly and attentive, will certainly be going back again soon!

The service was excellent; the staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient. Food portion sizes were big, and the Carvery was great; even the greediest person wouldn’t go hungry! Personally, my Lamb Shank was absolutely delicious, and perfectly cooked, but the vegetable dishes were undercooked, under-seasoned and tasteless. The yorkie puds were huge, and looked delicious, but were dry and tasteless.

We come here most weeks for a meal. Great food, really good prices and the friendliest staff you'll ever meet 👍😁 can't beat the carvery!

i have been to this bar and grill 5 times in the past 18 months each visit has been very nice .good friendly staff even when busy if you call for drinks they will come over to the table and take orders within 5 minutes .the food is always top notch steaks are cooked as asked for to the letter no pressure to eat up once you book a table its yours for the night if you want it , well thats my experience any way . so yes i highly recommend henris

Booked a table for one thirty for carvery we was told we had to wait for 2 other tables to get their food before we could get ours both big parties so prob would have had our food at two thirty new manager has no idea of customer service been here several times been lovely won t b going there ever again useless

Food is excellent but unfortunately the service is beyond shocking. Waited for service then our cokes we ordered had no gas completely flat. Was told waitress would let us know when to go up for carvery as she was checking to see if everything was out but she didnt return we had to wait for another waitress to come over. After we finished our food we waited about 30 minutes for our table to be cleared then another 20 for dessert order to be taken, then when that came out 2 desserts was missing and didnt arrive until the 1st lot was finished and we asked where the rest was. Finally we asked for our bill but this didnt come so we left and paid on our way out. Such a shame as staff are friendly and food is very good just service is terrible. We had 2 children and a baby and waiting so long they got restless so it spoilt our meal.

We popped in here on a Saturday night. We had booked but there would’ve been plenty of availability if we hadn’t, possibly as the following day was fathers day!

Went for a carvery today and the food was lovely. Plenty of it and tastes good. Waitresses aren't brilliant. I asked 3 separate people for bill and it took around 10 mins. Other than that very good. Will be going back.

We’ve been here a number of times now and it never fails to disappoint. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her rump steak and I had a superb gammon steak. An absolute must if you are in the Maldon area. We love it!!

For our monthly Family Lunch together we went to Henri's Steakhouse, this time we all went for the Carvery and were not disappointed, the food was excellent and the service was very good, even the Grandchildren did not leave too much and of course we did indulge in the desert board, again lots of choice available.

We came as a table of 6 and despite not booking the staff member who saw us was friendly and informed us that the wait would be 45 mins due to the kitchen being at capacity. This was fine as we purchased drinks and sat at our table.

We visited here on Fathers Day as a family party.

Returned to Henri's on the advise of a friend, for the Carvery which was recommended.

We have visited Henris numerous times in the last few months. The carvery is fantastic, beautifully cooked meat, perfectly crispy roast potatoes and generous selection of veg. My husband and children have also eaten items from the menu and specials boards and have always found everything they’ve ordered delicious. We are quite fussy and have eaten in a lot of very nice restaurants and I have to say we are NEVER disappointed here.

This place is a gem! We had the Sunday carvery, which was amazing, super crispy roast potato’s, 3 meats plus loads of veg.

Really enjoyed the quality, quantity and selection of foods. Ordered off special boards so always what the chef wants to cook (or ordered too much of :))

We have been going every Friday for the last 4 months and we love it . We changed from miller and carter and a few village puds . The staff are really friendly and up for a laugh. Foods great . Drinks might take some time . But it’s worth it for the food . Large portions and cooked to perfection ❤️

We've been here a few times and it had become our new favourite place to eat. The food is cheap and tastes good and it's a bonus that it's just down the road from us.

We have been looking for a carvery locally as we don't have a Beefeater etc. Little did we know that we do have one in Maldon. Wow it looked amazing on arrival, a real pub look. The service was great and the quality of the food amazing. Going back soon as £9.95 per person is such good value

Have visited here on several occasions, no problems but on my most recent I have to express how much of a let down it was.

it was our first visit to thus restaurant and we went with family for my husband's birthday. The food was ok and reasonably priced but the service was very slow and the restaurant was not that busy for a Saturday night.

Very bad service, Same staff cleaning/ spraying bowling shoes was serving drinks and food immediately without washing hands. Lack of understanding/ tolerance for Special Need and young people with disability. Inconsistency and poor communication by staff exacerbated the anxiety of students with Special needs during...

we visited Henri's Steakhouse as a family and had an excellent meal. The only criticism would be that they would not give us tap water and we had to purchase bottled water.

Hadn’t visited for sometime as wasn’t impressed with the food when it first opened. I must say the carvery was very good, nice selection of vegetables all tasty and not under cooked like many carverys. Also incredibly well priced.

Cannot express how impressed I was by this carvery. Great selection of well cooked meat. Huge Yorkshire puddings, crispy roast potatoes. My sister had lamb shank which she said was cooked to perfection. I was impressed with the choice of vegetables which included ratatouille and the most delicious cauliflower cheese. Usually vegetables in carveries tend to be over cooked and soggy. These were al dente and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was very child friendly with crayons and fun sheets to keep my grandchildren amused. All adults were too full to even consider dessert but the children loved their ice cream. Great value for money and fantastic dining experience.

When we arrived on a quiet Sunday evening we were expecting to be seated reasonably quickly. After being ignored by a few members of staff we were shown to a table.

An annual dinner for 24 people, the only good thing I can say is the staff were welcoming and accommodating. The venue is dark and very shabby and the food is dire. Most of us had the carvery, the meat was okay, beef over cooked but the vegetables were either cooked to mush or as in the frozen Brussels sprouts hard as bullets. One person opted for the steak and said it was tough. I would not go back

My wife and I have been here two weeks running on a Sunday lunchtime. Last week we had steak, perfectly cooked to order and delicious. This week we went for the carvery and once again we couldn't fault it. Good food at an excellent price! We will be back.

I would like to take this opportunity to review this restaurant.When I walked in on a thriving Friday night there were only 4 people dining in the restaurant.I was spoken too not greeted and ushered to the table.It took them over 10 minutes (bearing in mind there were only 4 people dining) to come over and ask me what I would like, to which I asked for a 10z Ribeye medium rare with seasoned fries with garlic sauce etc. The tender for this meal was a whopping £16.95!!! I said it must be a big plate! ....no response. It eventually came after another 10 minutes and I said to the waitress are you sure this is a 10z? All there was on the plate was this little steak with half a tomato, plate full of greasy fries! For £16.95????I started to tuck into the steak and the steak was not cooked as a medium rare and it was so small I was having trouble justifying my cost. After halfway through the meal I couldn’t justify the meal and decided to complain to a young waitress. I explained to her that I was not happy about paying for the meal as the meal was not worth the price advertised and she remarked....(oh really!)So with that I told her obviously she was not taught customer service and refused point blank to pay for my meal!Really!!! These places should hire mature experienced staff who know how to deal with customers and who genuinely care about who they are representing. If she had said she would reduce the bill to a sensible amount I would not have minded to pay for it but the attitude!!!! Was despicable.I gave them the chance to rectify this situation but they were not interested. Please be aware that Henri’s are very much overpriced for the food you actually receive and be mindful that you are frankly dealing with idiots straight out of school who have no clue about customer satisfaction Beware people!I will not be visiting this venue ever again and will pass this news on to everyone I know to avoid like the plague.

Great carvery with lots of choice. Only few complaints had to wait a while for all the other food orders, and it can be a bit dark in there as there is no natural light getting in.

We've been here a few times now, at first the food could be a bit hit and miss but now they have the carvery it is delioucious, one of the best I've had! And very reasonable price! Definitely recommend for the family!

We visited here on Sunday evening for the carvery, we looked forward to our visit as at last Maldon had a carvery. We left disappointed as the food wasn’t great and were shocked that you could only have chicken or beef/gammon but not both like all other carverys do.There was no turkey either. The veg wasn’t very good at allThe main positives were the staff who were friendly, but I think I’d rather travel to Chelmsford next time for a Toby.

Went in for a birthday meal on the 2/10/17,Phone ahead to check availability was glad to see we didn't need to book.Was greeted with a very happy face and seated quickly. Was such a lovely cosy environment and prefect for a quiet meal with the family. Drinks order and delivered very fast. Food was ordered and delivered nice and promptly and was amazing, The portions sizes are huge and the food came out very hot and on warm plates, Totally recommend the steak and also the southern fried chicken.Was a shift change of waitresses whilst there but both young ladies were lovely and made us feel welcome and the children enjoyed it as well, definitely will revisit

We came here originally as we took the kids to monkey puzzle. We was then going to go home for lunch. As we came out, we could smell the carvery and couldn't resist. Now I'm super picky when it comes to roast dinners and much prefer to cook my own as I've never really enjoyed one out. But my husband convinced me and I'm so pleased he did. For starters the lady serving us was super helpful and so nice! We were literally the first people in there as soon as the carvery opened. The head Chefs, were lovely explained everything they had made in detail and my husbands and eyes lit up! Everything freshly cooked and made with passion! Got our food which looked amazing and smelt delicious, I can honestly say this is the best roast dinner I've ever had in a restaurant, my kids who are 3 and 6 ate nearly everything, both me and my husband cleaned our plates. Everything cooked to perfection and proper roast potatoes!! Will definitely be coming back. Price also fantastic! £9.95 for adults. And £4.95 for kids under 12! Warm , welcoming and excellent food & service!

We did the family bowl £25 for an hour then we are at the restaurant. It was very well coordinated we gave our food choice before we bowled so it was ready for when we sat down. Staff were friendly and the food was good.

Went here with the family for Sunday dinner, as normal carvery was first class no complaints from any us.Good selection of meats and nice amount too. Lovely fresh vegetables and choice of three types of potatoes. Also they have now put all the sauces on a table where you help yourself so no waiting for staff to bring them over to you.Friendly efficient staff, good food at a fair price what more could you want.

Popped here for an unexpected date night Mid week we found the restaurant with a few other diners enjoying their meals. I ordered the carvery and my partner had chicken and ribs Both were delicious. Our waiter said he would let me know when the chicken and ribs were 2-3 minutes from being served so I could get my carvery which he did. On the whole the food was good the only critisism was that we were charged the Friday price for carvery instead of Wednesday price

Went here with family for the Sunday roast, great food.Good selection of meat and freshly cooked veg, could not fault it in any way great slices of meat and all at good price. Far better in terms of quality than a certain chain carvery and prices on pare. Would highly recommend here and not just for the roast dinner.

It is sometime since we last visited here but have to say following our recent visit we will eat here probably more frequently. Since our last visit they have added a carvery option and although we didn't try it I have to say that it looked very tempting. As with our last visit the menu is good with daily specials on offer. The portion sizes and the quality of the food in my opinion very good. The mixed grill and the steaks were especially good. My only criticism is that the restaurant always seems to empty out quite early and when eating out with friends we like to stay at the table that little bit longer. We thought the value was good. There were 4 of us eating. Two of us had 2 courses with the other 2 having 3 courses. In addition we had 2 rounds of drinks. The bill came to £100.

I visited Henri's last night and found that they have now got a carvery so our table off 3 all decided to have it the gammon and beef was fantastic I will be back soon for more

A return visit for son in laws birthday after 10 pin bowling . Sunday afternoon 4pm , pre booked table for 19 people , 8 adults 3 teens , and 6 younger children , two of whom had their own food due to dietary issues , Very long table for all the family , drinks ordered at bar which included 2 bottles of wine and quite a few soft drinks . Kids meals reasonably priced , Steak and Chips ordered for the teens , One Hunters Chicken all of which came in at under £10 each . What caught the eye of a few of us was the carvery . Sunday price £9.95, The meat was on the server and consisted of large Turkey , beef ,and Gammon . Once the orders were taken those having carveries went up for service , the chef didnt skimp on the meat and offered more than one type , I asked for Turkey and was given two thick large slices and then a piece of beef which would have graced many an upmarket restaurant , cooked with slight pinkishness in the middle it looked great . Yorkshire puddings nice and big(why my grandson who's six got two and me one I dont know but I was jealous) nice roast potatoes which you dished up yourself along with Broccoli , butternut squash , parsnips and cauliflower cheese . Really nice home made bone stock gravy and a mixture of sauces . The carvery didnt disappoint and as big fan of roast dinners , it was like having one at home , but out . The meat , both the Turkey and beef were succulent and there was plenty of it . Veg nice . The steaks looked bit smaller but like most places its uncooked not cooked weight you pay for , mix of chunky chips and fries . Two year old grandson had children's sausage chips and peas and he got a decent sized 'proper ' sausage , fries and peas . The majority wanted desserts so the white chocolate brownies and ice-cream (included in kids meals) were ordered . Not being a desert person I went ups for another Yorkshire and was told I couldn't as they were expecting more people . got the bill and it was including the two bottles of wine , mains and desserts £245 so an average of £14 per person .Its a bit cheaper in the week Im no food critic but as far as all of us were concerned we had a good plate of good honest food , nicely cooked in a pleasant environment . I wouldn't call it a true carvery as the ones I remember meant you could go back for more , but that said , all of us had more than enough food . Service was polite , friendly and efficient . They were amenable to children . Not disappointed with a return visit and next year is on the cards .

Had read mixed reviews but I found food and service to be of a good standard. We had the rib and steak combo which came with corn on the cob and fries with the most massive onion rings as a side order and my husband had the raspberry and white chocolate bread pudding with cream. Portions were of a good size and with a couple of drinks bill came to £45. The carvery seems to operate Wednesday to Sunday and looked well worth a try at only £9.95 in the evening. Different prices seemed to apply at other times. Child friendly.

Fantastic service and a really good carvery. Meat was succulent and a very good choice of vegetables. Even let us have our gravy in gravy boats at our table. Very good value for money.

This was our 3 trip in 2 years at Henri's and must admit it was better than the last visit. The young lady who served us was running the whole restaurant but provided us with a first class service. My husband who is fussy with his steak said it was one of the best steaks he had tasted and it shows how well the chef knows how to cook. We had the roast which was really nice, lots of different veg and meats to choose. All in all I would recommend to friends and family and will visit again soon.

Visited here with family for a Sunday lunch, it was a very good experience, its a good no nonsense menu and the carvery was enjoyed by my wife and daughter where as I opted for steak which was cooked perfectly to my choice of rare. Service was impeccable, we were very well looked after and the small changes we required to the advertised dishes (eg replacement to chips for a couple of our dishes) was met with no problem at all.The Malbec which is available by the glass is lovely!!!!The only down side is the toilets which are part of the main Madison Heights complex and are a bit grotty.

One of the best value Sunday roasts for a long while. Starters, Main send Dessert all excellent value. Yorkshire Puddngs nearly as big as the plate and plenty of assortment of vegetables.

Amazing food, brilliant staff. Food is cooked to perfection... Highly recommended if your having a family lunch or just a catch up with friends and family

Have now been to the carvery four times in the five weeks, food is very good.There is a good selection of meat which I might add they are not mean with. Lovely selection of vegetables every time we have been food has been fresh and tasty nothing not to like. We have also popped in on Saturday day time week before last and my wife again had the carvery while I had something from the menu. Last bank holiday we popped in again on the Sunday night and both had something from the menu.Every time without exception food was to a very good standard and service was excellent with friendly and polite staff well worth a visit, lastly I'm not a steak fan but there is plenty on offer for people like me.

Incredibly impressed by the carvery we had here today. The meat was perfectly cooked. Great Yorkshires and roast potatoes with a huge range of well cooked and beautifully presented vegetables. Particularly enjoyed the cauliflower cheese, the red cabbage and the courgettes. A bit different to standard fare and all in all the best carvery I have ever eaten. And very reasonably priced. Will definitely return.

Hungry after a swimming session at the complex next door my husband, 3 children (including a baby) and I had an unplanned dinner at Henri's and we couldn't have been looked after better by the staff there. Our baby sat in one of their clean and comfortable high chairs, which can't be said for many other restaurants we've visited. The menu choices and carvery were excellent and portion sizes generous. But best of all was the service. The ladies serving us were helpful, friendly, polite, accommodating and genuinely seemed to go out of their way to make sure we were all happy. I work in HR and congratulate who ever handles recruitment and thank the two waitresses working Sunday 14th at 5pm...wishing I'd noted your names! Thank you.

Went here today with my Husband Son and two young Grandsons for The Carvery was shown to our table by a very helpful waiter who took our drink orders and let us know what meat was available today at The Carvery which was Turkey Gammon & Beef I went up first to get my son and Grandsons meals my Son is Autistic so needs assistance! All staff were extremely helpful from the chef carving the meat, too another helpful Lady helping me dish up food for the two smaller children. once we were all seated we found the meal very nice everything was hot and very tasty as was Dessert! would definitely recommend and come again

Decided to pop in for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. Food was to a good standard and as I'm not a big steak fan was pleased there is plenty on the menu for people that don't want steak. We found out that they now have a carvery there as well and after talking to the waiter decided to book for tomorrow for lunch. apparently they have only been doing for the past four weeks but it looked good.Well worth a visit, food is good, staff are friendly and helpful at a fair price.

I recently heard that Henris steakhouse Maldon has opened a new carvery. After being there before several times and never having anything but tasty food. I decided to head there with my family! We sat as a table of three and all chose the carvery. When walking up to the carvery station we were greeted by a friendly chef and what appeared to be lots of fresh hot food! I chose the gammon and was given 3 thick slices and my other family members had a mix of the beef, turkey & gammon. You're also given a large home made Yorkshire pudding.The selection of vegetables was great they had everything from red cabbage, carrots, mashed swede, honey roasted parsnips, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes with bacon & more! The gravy at the end was thick and piping hot. Myself and my family all agreed that it was hands down the best carvery we had ever been to! Once again we left satisfied and full! Great service, and wonderful food! We will definitely be coming back and telling everyone we know to head to Henris for the best carvery around!

A party of six of us attended Henris Steakhouse after a game of bowling. The food seemed nice and everything was well, until a few hours later the two people from our party which opted for the carvery became violently ill! Not good at all! Will not be returning, this ruined the end of our Easter weekend!!!

Had early evening meal before bowling. Good food and generous servings. Although did not have the carvers it looked lovely and big servings. Very attentive service.

Went there to celebrate family birthdays and were a bit disappointed with the food and menu. We hadn't been there for a while and things have changed a lot. The onion rings were swimming in grease and no side salads with food as they used to have.

Two treats in one week, Fantastic Carvery, went in for steak came out with roast beef, lovely, couldn't fault it

Just had a lovely carvery...could not fault it at all!...Meat cooked to perfection as were the veg, staff friendly & attentive,.will not bother with Toby anymore with this on our doorstep...Topmarks!!

Just spent the afternoon here with the family for Mother's Day. They have just started a new carvery and can I say it was fantastic. Three choices of meat and veg to die for. Just what maldon needed.
