just found out my go to Sunday breakfast place is closing, why?! It’s not supposed to be the height of sophistication, but the food was always good and the staff are amazing. Thank you guys you will be missed!!!

Been to Ed's in Mayfair a couple of times for pancakes with berries, which I'd enjoyed. However, the last visit at the end of May was very disappointing. First, the restaurant doesn't open till 11 am, and since I was going for a breakfast item, I only had a 30 minute window to order. I was hoping for freshly made, fluffy pancakes, to take away, so imagine how surprised I was when I saw the chef nonchalantly throwing three pre-cooked, rubbery discs into the microwave to heat up. The place was starting to get busy coming up to lunch time, but even so, it took a while for my order to be ready. It then stood on the counter waiting for someone to pick it up and serve it to me due to a lack of communication between the kitchen and the servers, so by the time I got to eat the pancakes,they were cold. Which leads me to believe that they weren't even hot when the order was made up. I was famished by the time I got to eat them, so I wasn't going to throw them away, but I'll think twice about going there for breakfast again. Shame really, because I couldn't fault the serving staff, who were very helpful.

Haven’t visited an Ed’s Diner since the 90s. That was around Wardour St or Old Compton St. It was a bit iconic, with mini jukeboxes per table where you could play your own rock’n’roll tunes. Fun memories. Not so in Mayfair. Like someone else wrote, it’s a strangely narrow diner, offering a very reduced number of seats/tables. And the music is distinctly non-rock.

Had the vegan burger. It was very good, I had to ask the cooks to make sure it was a vegan burger. Try it and see.

My kids were excited to go to Ed's as we've always enjoyed our meals and shakes at other outlets. We found this place on the app after trying to visit the other two which used to be in the Soho area and have now closed. Bit of a wild goose chase!

J’ai atterri dans ce fast-food par hasard, avec un peu d’appréhension je dois dire. On passe commande au comptoir et on vient vous servir. La carte ne fait pas dans le light mais c’est le but! De quoi se faire plaisir.... Burgers, mega hot-dogs, desserts. J’ai opté pour un burger classique frites. Bonne surprise : pas gras, garniture fraîche, pain brioché et frites pas grasses et bien chaudes...

Fui aquí mientras esperaba a un amigo y descubrí que el concepto de esta tienda ahora había cambiado. Ahora era un servicio de mostrador y luego lo traían a su mesa cuando estaba listo con máquinas de bebidas en el lateral.

Been going to Ed's since the late 80's and always pop in when im back in London. Disappointed when i saw the Soho branch closed but stumbled across the branch in Mayfair on my last day of my recent trip.

Buscando un almuerzo tardío, entramos aquí después de haber comido en tiendas similares antes. La comida estaba bien en el mejor de los casos (aunque la hamburguesa de haloumi tenía tanta ensalada de col que le quitó todo el calor, y mi esposa pensó que su bollo estaba duro) pero el lugar estaba frío, apenas más cálido que el exterior. En definitiva, no es una experiencia agradable.

I was working in london and stumbled across this place. Plenty of good looking food on the menu to order. Resturant wad small but clean and tidy. I ordered the cheese burger with the house fries. Was very tasty and not too expensive for London either 4*

I popped in to have a meal before meeting others to attend another event later in the evening. Customer service was prompt and friendly. The space was clean and orderly. I ordered my burger meal and it arrived a short time after at a good temperature. I hate when fries are lukewarm so I was happy that tasted good and were hot. All the food was tasty particularly the burger. I recommend Ed's as a nice American style diner chain where you can be as quick or as long as you want over a meal or drink whilst listening to classic music!

We had lunch there, the customer service was really good. Food wise was tasty. I was a little skeptical of the burger menu because they sounded a little heavy with a lot of other ingredients. Although it came in a nice tray, perfect portion matches a good lunch appetite.

Popped in for lunch, staff were quite friendly and helpful and the place was clean and tidy. Initially they didn’t have the drinks we wanted, the mains we ordered was were OK but they’d also run out of waffles, so most of the dessert options were not available. I don’t think this is acceptable nowadays.

We used to visit Ed’s diner every now and then as a family, mainly for the cheesy chips. We returned today and had a terrible experience. Firstly, we were seated outside amongst the pigeons. It wasn’t a warm day either. When the food came we were repulsed. Cold tiny burgers, tiny portion of oven-style chips with vile mayo-style sauce in place of the once amazing cheese sauce. Hardly any bacon and ‘sauce’ on the chips.

Pancakes looked & taste like frozen (NOT good), stiff as a board.

If you are in London, and you are looking for a great hamburger experience you need to go to Ed´s Easy Dinner. They have several locations around London. Mayfair is closest to the tube... Big portions, several spicy sauces. The flavor of that meat is awesome... All in this place is nice an the people is very friendly... Order with confidence, they will guide you through its all menu...

The restaurant was great, we have used Eds at Bluewater a lot so we knew the one at Mayfair would also have a great offering. The usual food and drink was on offer and up to standard, the burgers and fries were to really great quality and the value was really good as well. We found the burgers had plenty of fillings, loads of taste and loads of flavour. The chips were also lovely and the presentation was good. We had the bottomless drinks which was your standard sugar free Pepsi brands. This was Pepsi Diet, Pepsi Max, 7-Up and Tango. This was great as there were loads of options you could have had. This was a self service machine, which was also great as the one at Bluewater has to have you keep ordering them. They do not offer the Ed's Club loyalty scheme at this branch, nor can you spend any of your points at the branch - however you can still spend an acquire at other stores.

Called in as we wanted a dessert and a drink, there was a special deal with 2 for 1 waffles so chose that option. Waffles as large as your head but dry concrete consistency, not enough topping or sauce to cover or soak in to soften it. This experience has put me off waffles for life, our stomachs ached for the rest of the day. Plus side they have refill offer on drinks so you only pay once for them - needed that to help the waffle go down.

Stopped off for a spot of lunch with friends and was really looking forward to a great munch down. Food was well cooked and tasty but just didn't live up to what the menu offered. I have eaten here before and its been good but this time just lacked something. Staff were friendly and polite. Restaurant was clean. Dessert was over powered by a ton of cinnamon almost killng the taste of bannana. Had better meals here before and everyone has an occasional off day. Still worth a visit. I wasn't bad but just not as good as it has been before.

La ubicación justo al lado de Oxford Street es fresco y el menú también parece genial. Pedimos el queso y bacon, además de estándar batido. El servicio era fantástico y el batido llegamos un poco antes de la comida, así que escondido en aunque prefiero como después. Qué gran shake.

Vine aquí un jueves después de un agitado día de trabajo y Meghan y Diego eran super servicial y encantador y divertido, y lo más destacado de la noche.

Fuimos un viernes por la tarde después de hacer algunas compras. Tuvimos que limpiar las mesas nosotros desde cada mesa exterior tiene basura y bandejas. Durante nuestra estancia, no ver al personal limpiar las mesas. Cuando fuimos al mostrador nos dijeron que no había batidos así como opciones limitadas ilimitado rellenarla a refrescos.

En una calle lateral cerca de la Calle Oxford, este local es bien vale la pena el viaje. Aunque no económicos (es el centro de Londres, después de todo! La comida está bien) razonable y generosos. Los batidos son fantásticas, y las hamburguesas de pollo son encajados con carne. Un punto que pierde porque el retrete estaba cerrado cuando fuimos (con el personal permiso utilizamos el wc para minusválidos) y nuestro pedido tardó mucho tiempo en sitio, así que la comida era un largo tiempo que viene. Vale la pena la espera. Nuestra camarera era genial. Servicial y agradable.

Recuerdo visitar Ed hace unos años para hamburguesas y batidos y estar muy impresionado con la comida y el servicio. Otra vez, visité hace unos meses en otra ubicación para el brunch y me quedé agradablemente sorprendido con la comida.

Really a great experience !! 10/10 food and service great went for lunch on Monday 26/3/18 around 12.30 double cheese burger and Fry's , loved it , and the service was great as well my fist time at eds and the young lady was so nice and helpful !!! A real credit to your company thank you eds now a real fan will revist !!!!

Having been here quite a few times in the past, visited after new menu in place. Result disappointing, milkshakes were half the size and no longer thick, hot dogs no longer on menu, chips changed to average thin chips and burgers very average, all for a ridiculous price. We won't be returning.

Ed’s diner is a really good place, and has a good atmosphere, a the food and milkshakes is very tasty 😋 go visit you will not be disappointed 😉

Afortunadamente las hamburguesas todavía era muy buena. En mi humilde opinión tiene acercará a MCDONALD'S y Burger king. I'm a massive fan of Ed's diner and given the location you'd think this might be their flag ship store? Wrong, in fact, the restaurants in Brighton and Bluewater are on a different level.

I still remember the amazing cheesy chips I had at Eds on Kings Road about 20 years ago so when I came across a diner in Mayfair I was excited.It was only small and the tables are very close together. I was sat down straight away and ordered aBurger with Eds Plate (chips, coleslaw and onion rings) I also upgraded to cheesy chips. Unfortunately the food was not like 20 years ago.The chips and onion rings are obviously from a packet and were tasteless. The chips had some cheese oily sauce on them. The burger was ok but nothing special and I left a lot of it.A plus point - the staff were friendly and didn't slack.When leaving I asked where the toilets were and was told "the small one is completely out of order and the large one has a broken lock". I went to the large toilet (which was a disabled toilet) and daren't use it as the lock was broken and the toilet looked out onto the street. Really not good!

As a vegetarian I struggle in Diners as the veggie options are always limited! Ed's is the same, offering the same old Mexican bean burger! GIVE US ANOTHER OPTION!! Staff are lovely, but the environment is a bit naff, the restaurant needs a face lift!Also, our mozzarella sticks were hollow - just be aware of that!

I don't understand the bad reviews for this place. We found the diner to be clean, tidy and with friendly staff. We enjoyed our meal here, especially the desert.

Ed's is a pretty average American-style diner. The food is good, prices are reasonable, and the setting is fine. Service was a bit slow, however.

I had been a fan of Ed's for many years unfortunately they have changed many things in the last year. The chips are the cheapest frozen low quality and hot dogs with dry buns... sadly visit for the last time... it does not have any soul any more too...

We ordered hot dogs and the bread was stale/dry. It was falling apart. The service by Faye was great but there was a changeover and the new waiter wasn't great. The food also took a long time to come out. I wish I didn't waste my money here. I did love the music though.

Slow service on Monday morning. Bacon and egg muffin, made from concrete muffins. The waitress just shrugged when I complained. Would never go back, even if the food was free.

Contarary to other reviews we experienced quite the opposite upon our sunday lunchtime visit..Greeted by friendly staff, served promptly with regular visits to our table to refil drinks and check all was good..food was perfect, great atmosphere. The restaurant looked cool, so my friends and I decided to have dinner there. We ordered the food kinda easily, and didn't wait long for it to arrive. They messed up orders, but we ate anyway because we were too hungry to wait any longer.The food was pretty bad (the milkshakes were the only thing that was okay), and when we went to pay the owner treated us rudely and also tried to make us pay more (since I'm not from England I'm not really used to paying with pound coins) and literally kicked us out the place. When I'll go back to London I won't go not even close to this restaurant.

Had Burger with all the trimmings and original fries. Fries done very well and burger extremely tasty.Also added a mint shake.....the shakes from Eds are amazing, have to say that overall was a good experience, well looked after and a great taste allround.

It tries to be themed but fails, the food is clinical, like what you might get at a very large chain.The location here is great, a quiet respite from Oxford St.Service is a bit slow.

Worst customer service ever experienced! Has been asked about order straightaway, then waiter came back that they don't have hot-dog bun.. only GF, fine... Been sitting outside 20mins...no order came. We went in as it was getting cold outside. Waiter said we can sit anywhere, 2mins later waitress came and ask us to change table. I said I want to sit there and I'm also waiting over 20mins to get my bloody hot-dog... apologized and food was there in 2mins, SUPER COLD!! Of course didn't eat them and paid £27 for horrible service & food & over 20mins waiting time!Not recommended at all!!!Avoid!!Utterly horrible, not even an apology for the crap food they served us.

Auf der Suche nach einem kurzen Shopping-Stop fanden wir in der Seitenstraße der Oxfordstreet das Diner. Personal war außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Essen kam sehr schnell und war lecker. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!

We visited this diner while shopping in Oxford Street. The diner was not very busy so we were seated immediately. The staff was very friendly with us and our kids. Drinks arrived in few minutes while food took some time. But everything was really good: chicken wraps chips, puppy dog and hamburger from the kids menu. The toilet needs some refurbishment. On the Whole we really enjoyed the place.

How to run a restaurant in the Ed's Easy Diner way: 1. advise incoming guests that they need to sit at a stool in the window, even when more than half the tables in the restaurant are vacant and clean. After they have settled into their comfy stools, offer that they can move to a table, despite not having asked to do so 2. Fail to arrive with the guests to take an order for more than 15 minutes. 3. Serve them two lumpy milk shakes (not blended properly) to keep them quiet whilst they wait 40 minutes for a hamburger and a bowl of chili. 4. Fail to make eye contact or to check with the guests while they wait, and wait, and wait......5. When the food finally arrives, ensure it is cold and needs to be returned to the kitchen for a re-heat. Useful also, is to ensure that the burger buns are stale and crumbly, the onion rings are cold and greasy, and the coleslaw is dry and tasteless. 6. Take a long time to re-heat the chili, ensuring that the other guest has completely finished their burger before proudly presenting the chili a second time to the guest who as not yet eaten anything. 7. Advise that the "manager" has taken money off the bill, and discount the whole sorry affair by 50% to try to make amends. (This final step will ensure no profits for the boss, and little or no grumbling from the disappointed guests.) Supplementary tip: Ensure that all staff are kept busy holding personal discussions behind the bar at all times, and that they engage with guests as little as possible. From our experience at Ed's Easy Diner, this is the way forward. If it sounds good to you, this is your place!

Fab BBQ Chicken and bacon burger with sweet French fries highly recommend, would just say that not much room to move between tables but cosy atmosphere, nice staff although a bit thin on the ground, and waiter seemed a bit harassed, probably because it was New Year's Day and short staffed!!

Visited while Christmas shopping, Arrived and seated immediately, the diner was very busy so drinks took sometime But the wine was good and the Sam Adams was coldThe burgers chips and onion runs were good the slaw however wasn't as goodBut on the whole I love this place

Came here with a girlfriend to catch up, had a wonderful server and excellent food. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The Biscoff milkshake was out of this world and the bill was very reasonable :) What more can you ask for?

Great burgers and good service. We really got a lot of food for 15 £ each. Burger, fries, onion rings, coleslaw and a beer. Restroom was a little so and so though. But all in all a good experience.

The service experienced is something that was a first for me.Having been informed that a table won't be available for 10 minutes we were placed in a convenient corner to look over the menu.It became apparent that other guests arriving after us were being seated, when questioned the waitress the response was "when a place for two becomes available you will be called".Close observation proved that singular guests and greater than two were offered places, when queried again the waitress suggested we took a bar or window seat!Having waited over 20 minutes we decided to lunch elsewhere.

Being a member of the Ed's Easy Diner App has its privileges, so whilst I was shopping on Oxford Street I found this particular Ed's down a side street and remembered I had my free birthday milkshake and went in, got a great welcome from the staff and my milkshake was done in under 5 minutes! Big thanks to Lee & Loretto for making me feel right at home, I will be back!For now more shopping !

This was my first time at an Ed's. It should have been a quick easy lunch but it wasn't very nice at all. The restaurant is a corridor, you're all crammed in, the tables were sticky, lots of things were off the menu, the manager and kitchen staff were arguing, and the food was cold when it arrived. I wouldn't go to an Ed's again.

Wow! Out shopping, after a snack. Burger comes to mind but don't want McDonald's. Been to Eds in Cardiff and it's not bad so came here..... oops!Cheese and bacon burger please....sorry sir, we have no bacon. Order something else, over cooked chewy burger, awaiting the coleslaw.... ask for the coleslaw.... sorry sir, we have no coleslaw! Having said that, it wasn't just bacon and coleslaw that was missing.... no atmosphere either. I'll give the waiter (Fran) his dues though, he got our frustrations and discounted the bill and apologised, but overall, poor. Won't be returning!

We were seated in the window at the bar. Food was lovely! Staff were great. Quick easy lunch even though it was very busy the food arrived quickly

So the day I visited this Eds, the kitchen was unstocked, they were busy, tables needed wiping, the wait was long and 2 of our breakfast choices weren't available (but we waited ages to be told this)! Normally I would score a maximum of a 3 in such chaos however the staff on duty were lovely! Despite being moaned at, verbally abused and harassed by customers they stayed polite and friendly! They could not apologise enough when orders were unable to be completed due to lack of kitchen supplies and they tried damn hard to please the customers despite several customers being rude and throwing toddler tantrums!! So thank you for staying professional and friendly despite being surrounded by so much negativity that morning! You were both brilliant ✨

Had a late breakfast at Ed's diner, good service and ok breakfast. I had the American breakfast bacon sausage egg hash brown with pancake.and maple syrup. The bacon was streaky bacon and a little burnt my coffee was filter coffee but it was lukewarm. Rest of the breakfast ok. This restaurant is just off Oxford St busiest parts.

A good place for any time of the day!! The foods not overpriced or over cooked. They also offer a variety of milkshakes such as Reece's Oreo strawberry and banana!

It was a Friday evening and this was the only place that didn't have a 45 minute wait! The service was good and I love the feel of old American diners, with the music and ambiance, but they had run out of hot dogs, which was what I actually wanted! Then when I decided to have Banoffe Pie for dessert, they'd run out of that too! Settled for a classic chicken on bun, which was OK but felt a little dry on the outside, and I had the brownies with ice cream, which were actually amazing! I've not been to an Ed's diner before, although I have seen them a lot on my travels. I won't let it stop me going back to one in the future. The prices are pretty good too.

Big portions if you like that sort of thing. Veggie burger was ok but not amazing. I did eat most of it though. Chips were ok as well. Nothing wrong with them. The "ambiance" is nice and the service is excellent. The were very welcoming, friendly and obliging. The food arrived very quickly too. For quick eats in a generally expensive area then it's quite a good option.

Classico fastfood all'americana. Trovato tramite la guida UK del senza glutine, quindi una sicurezza (per quel che si può lontano da casa!). Hamburger e patatine con glutine buono. Hotdog senza glutine buono e decisamente meglio di tanti altri locali italiani. Un bell'appoggio in caso di bisogno.

Visited here on Thursday evening. The service was atrocious, we received the wrong food, we're not asked if we wanted a dessert menu and were generally ignored. Our food was passed to us over the till rather than being placed in front of us and I was given all of the cutlery to dish out myself. Overall, terrible service

When someone in the family going out for breakfast is almost impossible. However ends diner is good for eating gluten free so on a recent stay in London we went out for breakfast. The gluten free breakfast was excellent as were the other breakfasts. My only niggle was that the plates were cold and hot food should always be on a hot plate. The service was very good and nothing was too much trouble.

Looking for something quick, where we could sit down and Eds ticked all the boxes, it isn't Mayfairs finest restaurant, it is a fast food American style diner!I have to compliment the waitress , who may have had a slight Aussie twang, she was amazing, we eat out a lot and it's a long time since I encountered a staff member who was as efficient and as happy in her job, she earned this 5* review!And the Nutella milkshake was to die for !

Did exactly what it said on the tin! Good quality breakfast - American pancakes bacon and maple syrup looked amazing - authentic decor and 50's music - nice little diner and attentive staff

Went to the restaurant in May 2016 with the wife. I had the original burger with chips, onion rings and coleslaw. All was good no complaints. The Oreo milkshake was ok but not as flavoursome as GBKs. Service was quick but it was pretty quiet in there. Clean restaurant with good music playing. There was an odd sign on the wall telling customers to eat with their mouths closed as to not offend other customers. I find eating with your mouth shut makes it quite difficult to get the food in to your mouth to start with! But no one told me off. Overall the restaurant was good.

So we arrived and were told to wait 15 min. It was actually much faster since we said we didn't mind seating in the "bar" area. There was this lady, looked like the manager, going every 5 minutes to the "kitchen window" and being extremely rude to the chefs. She was screaming and saying rude things. The problem was that she forgot the customers could see and hear her, so we were extremely shocked. Our food was put on the "waiting window", more than 10 minutes after the chefs put it there the waitress noticed our food. They literally passed the food 5 times before giving it to us. So as you guest, the food arrived and it was lukewarm, the coleslaw was watery and we were not able to eat it. The only reason I am rating 2 stars its because their milkshakes are AMAZING. Also, there is only two nice waitresses, the one who makes the milkshakes and the guy. The rest is extremely abusive to the bus boy and the chefs.

After a 2 hour journey and then wandering around Oxford St most of day, I took my daughter to Ed's at around 2 in the afternoon. I ordered the basic hotdog and a side of fries. The bun was dry, the hot dog didn't fit in it properly, it was they type of hotdog you microwave or boil and it wasn't overly hot in then middle. The fries came a good 7 minutes before the rest so they were cold by the time we got our hot dogs. My daughter had a children's hot dog meal which stated it came with side salad but it was just a hot dog and a few chips. She ate a few chips and a nibble of the hot dog but just said it wasn't tasty. The service was fine, a little slow considering it wasn't particularly busy but the staff were friendly enough. Had it been a bit cheaper I wouldn't have been so disappointed, it was edible (although I was so hungry at this point that I would have eaten anything!) but for the price I would have expected better quality! The overall look/feel of the diner is nice though. It was comfy, I like the decor, music and the American Diner theme.

food was luke warm and not worth the money, order came within 2-3 minutes of ordering it which makes me think it must be cooked in bulk and left somewhere to keep it warm.Expensive over-rated burgers, cost almost £10 each and you have to pay extra for luke warm fries which are clearly from the freezer,.The decor of the place is awful, obviously hasn't been decorated for many years.Toilets were out of order but disabled toilet avaiable, filthy toilet, wet slippy floor & no toilet roll.Wait staff were ok, had to ask more than once for our bill, will never go there again and would not recommend
