Sports Cafe in Central Bedfordshire

Great food, efficient service, lives ganes on big screen. What more can you ask for? Pricey but it is expected in a resort

One of the few places open early and late, we sat here and enjoyed a few drinks and a full breakfast one morning while watching the sport on the big screens. The beers are way overpriced but the food is good quality. App ordering is possible too as well as pool tables, £6.00 for 30 mins, which we had a go on before we left.

Go in with the mentality it’s a Wetherspoons style establishment and you shouldn’t be disappointed except for the pricing. Booking is not required. It can get very busy (and loud) especially in the evening and when a football game is on. Order from the menu with the QR code instead of queuing at the bar. They do a pretty decent breakfast that’ll set you up for the day. My partner is always satisfied with the cheeseburger and orders it every time we visit any Center Parcs. I do always request no beans on my plate but my breakfast always appears with beans. It’s not a problem for me but it could be a potential issue for someone with allergies. The prices are a little high but it’s Center Parcs so it’s kind of expected. We always go once a trip on a quieter evening for dinner and once again for breakfast later on in the trip. Had no issues and staff have always been polite to us.

Great place to have a drink and watch sport, very well themed. We didn’t try the food but the menu was quite expensive, and drinks were too.

Lovely breakfast, full of flavour with good quality food and friendly service, got drinks within minutes of ordering and received food very quickly as well. Ordering was via the app and was easy to navigate. Nice surroundings and reasonably priced.

Can order via app which is very quick. Had to chase for kids dessert after their meal every time we ate there.

We popped in for some breakfast last week while on holiday. There isn’t many places you can get a breakfast as it’s here or cafe rouge and the kids didn’t fancy that! We waited about 45 minutes for breakfast, it wasn’t great but filled us up for the day.

Decided on here as our last place for breakfast (first time visiting CP) and it was a terrible place to eat. We ordered at the bar, we hadn’t realised that to make our own fry up breakfast it would cost per item, so when we finished placing our order it came to £53 for 2 adults and 1 child!!! Quickly discussed with the chap taking our order and he advised us that we would have to order from the set menu to keep the cost down. I’m pregnant to there was lots of things I couldn’t have or needed amending, so I ordered the eggs Benedict without the ham, I was really specific about this. The food came to £35 in total which again was pricey for: eggs Benedict, 1 sausage, beans and toast for my son & 1 sausage bap for my husband (plus 3 soft drinks - a large draft coke was £4.50!) anyway, food comes out…. Ham on the eggs, the eggs looked fried because they don’t do anything by hand they just use those grim machines that make round flat poached eggs (look like fried eggs) hardly any Hollandaise sauce, no butter on the muffin, and more cress than anything else, my husbands sausages were anaemic and the food didn’t taste nice, my sons toast arrived burnt. Honestly it was just a faff. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had way worse experiences but the place was just grim, there’s no way I’d pay to eat there again. The table behind us were also kicking off because they had issues with their food. For the markup I was really expecting better!

An Ok lunch - large location with plenty to do, and lots of screens to watch sport on; or you can play pool; Its Center Parcs so over priced beer really (pint of Aspall Cider £6.95), and food similarly so, and not the nicest. Should be easy to know out good burgers but perhaps too rushed; My chicken burger was OK (having been disappointed in the Hucks restaurant with a supposed chilli-burger I opted for something different), and no real atmosphere, as just noisy

We ate at the Sports Bar at lunch time. Finding an empty, clean table was a bit tricky but we did and I cleared/wiped the table myself as there only seemed to be one person clearing them. I didn’t particularly mind doing this-it was a bit busy and it meant we had a table. My husband queued to order food but it was very slow so we ordered by the QR code. This part was very efficient but we waited ages for food. Ordered at 1.07pm and didn’t arrive until just before 2pm. We were told they had been waiting for the chicken nuggets. The food was as I expected but felt as though some of it had been waiting a while to be served to us (garlic bread stuck together). I appreciate it was busy but the Sport Bar serves basic cafe style/fast food-chips/sandwiches/burgers etc so I felt our wait was far too long. We won’t be eating there again.

Enjoyed the atmosphere, large screens playing sports. Went for brunch. Unfortunately the food was not good. How can bacon be both burnt and cold at the same time?? Hash browns were verging on burnt as well. Tea was awful and chemical tasting- I suspect the machine wasn’t adequately flushed after cleaning- returned and swapped for a different drink. Don’t think that we will return but it’s the only restaurant in centreparcs that doesn’t need a reservation! Staff were friendly and was clean.

Abends, als auch zum Frühstück sind die Portionen gut und schmackhaft. In der Auswahl ist das übliche wie Burger oder Wings enthalten. Das Essen fanden wir trotzdem insgesamt etwas zu teuer. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Had a meal at the sports bar this evening what can I say, firstly only two tills open to book and pay for food, then only half the order came out waited 20 minutes for the rest of the order to come after complaining to two waiters, didn’t even get a sorry. The chicken wings were over cooked and the garlic bread only just cooked, the whole meals were not worth the money and we will not eat in there again, we thought we would try the sports bar because the last meal we had at Hucks went back all of it and only after complaint to manager who didn’t want to give a refund but we said ok we are going to customer services. Centre Parcs come on sort these restaurants out you are charging enough to stay at your Parcs look after your customers.

We stopped to have lunch here, it was a bit of hassle as you have to sit down and find out that you then need to order and pay for your food online. My order didn't go through properly and then waited for the rest of the food to be served but they then didn't charge us for it which made up for all the hassle. We didin't go back there again (shame).

Very nice cheap meal no need to book just rocked up wide range of food and drinks to choose from with friendly service

wrong food brought out twice. Rude staff. Over busy and charged £11 for 4 bottles of 30ml water. No cash taken, card only.

We popped in for a drink to watch a football match. My husband ordered a drink via the app. After 30 mins still no drink but some food arrived we said it wasn’t ours. After another 5 mins I went up to a quiet bar to ask where the one drink was we’d ordered they said they couldn’t find us. I showed them the table we’d been at all the time. They said this wasn’t table number, number 98 and was 86 or something similar. They really need to change the table numbers so they can’t be read wrong. Clearly we weren’t the only ones as the people who ordered food to our table clearly did it wrong too. All rather disappointing, no real apology from the staff either. In general more staff are needed tables were dirty, a lot of plates and glasses left around. Outside was particularly bad with napkins and sauce bottles on the floor. We waited 10 mins for someone to take empty plates from our table able a further 10 for someone to come back and collect the empty glasses and bottles. This was during the day. In the evenings it seemed a lot cleaner and more orderly.

We visited for post dinner drinks and the service was great with a nice area to relax and play pool watch some sports!!

All food options are numerous and well prepared and in our experience the Sports Cafe generally offers good value for money. Unfortunately, a simple server accident turned our last visit into a nightmare with a full glass of fruit juice being spilled over my wife,...

Went there a few times. Service staff were very good. Tasty food, maybe a bit on the expensive side in terms of drinks, food prices were a little more expensive than pub grub but overall couldnt complain. Big TV screens and good atmosphere, games area...

We stopped on spec as this restaurant did not need a booking. Menu was varied enough that we all found something we liked. Good quality food. Lively atmosphere even if you didn't like football!

Nice food and great for children to run off to the soft play area. Whilst being able to keep an eye on them safely.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. So tasty and not oily. We only had a takeaway this time, delivered to our Vila and that was fab too.

Got good attentive service but this was let down by poor food. I had a burger but you could tell it was a cheap frozen burger. It was chewy and tasteless. Go here for a drink and the atmosphere but avoid the food!

I ate here for lunch during a stay at Center Parcs. Staff were very friendly and helpful and you can get bar or table service here. Would highly recommend the soup or club sandwich. Both are a very good sized portion. If you order a sandwich between 12 and 5 too, you get a free bowl of chips.

Burgers and veggie burgers really fresh, hot and served very quickly, milk shakes and smoothies etc are a little pricey but the large screens for sports fans

Nice clean and spacious breakfast deal good, but main meals and drinks quite expensive. Staff very pleasant.

The food was below average and over priced. The cheese was on the dirty fries and Macoroni Cheese toastie was totally inedible - doubt it was even cheese!

Tables and chairs constantly looked in need of a clean and plates sat for huge amounts of time without anyone coming to tidy up. Good drinks offers and a nice range of cocktails though.

This is a large sports bar with a huge TV screen for watching live sports. The food is good if not amazing, with the usual bar menu. It isn't cheap though, three adult main meals and two children's came to £54.00 with drinks on top.

Went to the sports cafe for breakfast and it was the biggest mistake of our trip, massively overpriced for very poor quality food, was ill after eating here so be aware, we found Cafe Rouge had much better service and food quality and was half the price.

Average food and atmosphere. Can get very loud when busy as there are lots of games tables and it is open to a childrens games section and the indoor sports courts. Not too much more to say about it really.

Came in here to find the soft play area for my youngest grandchild and was very impressed. It’s a huge area with two big screens and lots of smaller screens dotted around. There’s a full bar and food is served right through from breakfast to late in the evening, with a wide range of pub style menu options with plenty of kids’ dishes. An really good facility within the Center Parcs complex.

Unable to say anything about the food didn't get that far. Arrived after a 5 hour journey with 4 children. Unable to find a clean table staff looking overwhelmed, very bad atmosphere.

Big sports bar with good food and plenty of pool tables. Handy for meeting up or a quick break between the many activities!!

My drink didn’t turn up. Hot chocolate but they could t find the cream. Didn’t have the “new” smoothies in stock. Got a refund. Manager didn’t apologise or look at me. Staff couldn’t care less

We ate here twice during our 1 night stay at the spa suite, and both times we ordered the fish and chips and it was delicious! The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, we played american pool whilst we waited for our lunch. Serviced was very good too, as we do not drink alcohol the chef was more than accommodating with frying the fish without the beet batter. We will defiantly come here again.

Sports cafe itself is great with plenty to do but ate in there one night and foods a bit naff. Better off going to the other restaurants

Enjoyed many gin mojitos at the weekend here. My friends and I also enjoyed a few brunches too. Great service and not bad food either.

This place is always busy, the coffee is great, the staff are friendly and helpful, bowling lanes are in the same area and snooker tables, something for everyone

Had lunch on our first day at Center Parcs. It was busy but didn’t seem to bad, but food was slow in coming out once ordered. We ordered at bar because not many waiters around. Good choice though with various menus to read (Food, drinks, childrens and vegan/gluten free). There are lots of pool tables and a children’s play area in the area too.

Had the full English, excellent value and tasted good. Went back later for an afternoon drink not so good and over priced.

Plenty of variety in choice and good gluten free options too. Waitress was nice and attentive. Took a while to get our drinks and food but no complaints other than that.

Me, my boyfriend and our 2 month old spent a lot of time in the sports bar. It has something to do for everyone, a ball pit, huge TVs showing sports news, arcades, table service (or you can go to the bar) and pool tables.

Eight of us (incl. 3 children) had lunch in the Sports Cafe. Club sandwiches were nice - chips accompanied sandwich. Choice of bread - good service. Cold near doors which opened automatically. Large TV screens can be off-putting for young children who are meant to be eating. Multiple pool tables nearby for adult usage.

Watched a football match on the big screen and cricket at half time on the smaller screens and had a few drinks, not overly busy but good atmosphere and service.

Ate here before a spa visit. Food was expensive (as are all restaurants in Center Parcs) but tasty and the service was excellent!

Went for lunch after swimming. Managed to arrange a table for all 10 of us. It was busy so we waited a good while for food and then were one meal short. Manager solved the problem and offered us s free drink. Food was very good and they had a full Gluten Free menu too.

The usual noisy atmosphere with children running around and sticky tables. Excellent if you wanted to watch any of the many sports which seemed to be shown.

Our order was completely messed up. The wrong order was brought to our table and even though we said the waiter left most of the food on our table and just left. We thought he was sorting the problems out but after 20 minutes we realised he wasn’t. Another member of staff eventually did get us our correct order. I thought it was a bit shambolic in the sports cafe and we didn’t eat there again.

Food on the floor, broken glass not swept properly, high prices (£4.50 Pint of Carling)..5 Pieces of Calamari at £6.75 and Steak Dinner £18.00!! We didn't stay long!

Whilst enjoying a beer or two there is a superb mega screen to watch live football. Also enjoyed the burger and chips.

Had dinner here on our last night at Center Parcs. Waitress was miserable, everything was too much trouble, including us requesting cutlery to eat out food.

Not sure about this sports café - possibly a bit too much open plan which makes it really noisy. Staff should really ask customers what they are watching before turning every TV screen in the place onto football ( we were waching tennis on one screen) . To be fair they did get it back up on one of the smaller screens eventually. We did notice that when really busy every single member of staff walked at a very slow pace- is this a thing in here? Service was at times slow but food was good. only one member of staff - a young lad called jake or josh really interacted with us- we fund this to be the case in all restaurants at Woburn Forest ( apart from bar staff at las Iguanas)- really not the welcoming atmosphere you expect from Centre Parcs.

Stayed at CP for a week and tried out most of the restaurants onsite. Some were ok, some dire (Las Iguanas), but we kept coming back to the Sports Cafe as offering the biggest choice of great tasting food & drinks.

Enjoyed 2 x breakfasts and 2 x dinners here over the long weekend, both excellent. Staff members are all extremely friendly, efficient and couldn’t do enough for us - Gemma and Ollie in particular. The food is excellent quality, the breakfast sausages in particular are delicious, though something to be said for the scrambled eggs. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich, and the rotisserie chicken (bbq), scampi, chicken flatbread and cheeseburger are also all great quality and super tasty. Great cup of cappuccino and the soft fruit drinks - berry mist and sunset dreams - are excellent. Superb if you don’t drink alcohol but want to enjoy something a bit more than water or coke. Great atmosphere, decor and a fabulous place to watch sport with the giant tv and smaller screens dotted around. We watched the Liverpool v Bristol match here and it was one of our best experiences watching match in a pub/cafe/restaurant. All in all, a firm favourite and we’ll definitely be back when we’re here again next April.

Excellent food and service ..... as we were also celebrating a 40th birthday the staff sang Happy Birthday and presented a bottle of bubbly ..... Good customer service

Visited a couple of times for meals, once for early evening food and once for breakfast. The burgers were very tasty and the service was friendly and quick. Breakfast was pretty average and you have to let them know you want to use the offers (2 meals for a tenner etc) not sure who wouldn't want to use the offers but easily sorted when the bill came.

Visited here a couple of times, service was always very swift, and friendly. Their banana and strawberry smoothies were to die for, as was most of their breakfast dishes (I say most as we obviously didn't try everything)

The food in the sports bar is fantastic. Try the fish and chips. The fish was huge. Batter crunchy, chunky chips. Excellent value no dearer than any other restaurant.
