McDonald's in Central Bedfordshire

It states that it is opened 24/7, bit at 2 AM i could not enter and buy a burger. Some employee said that they close once a month, but it's definitely more often than that as due to the nature of my work i come quite often here during the nights. You should consider updating your opening times. Knowing that this McDonald's is open 24/7 i planned my route in that manner to take my break here so i can have someting to eat. I actually checked the opening times again to be sure it is open... Just to face closed doors.

*05-05-2025 Hair in fries.. *Update 27sep2024 ordered a milkshake which was very good and a iced latte which had expired milk in it!! Ordered today and was disappointed as they missed not 1 but 3 items from my order& found out at home(order nr.91). They are usually busy and occasional mistakes are reasonable however it's a few times now missing items from my orders already.

The chocolate is not good, it doesn't taste like chocolate

i went to drive thru and ordered the food it was completely wrong when i got home 1 meal burger was missing no straws for drinks poor poor service.

Every single time when you order from them there is something missing. Not once i did order at the drive thru or online and i had all the items. Make sure you check your order before you leave as they will not get the blame for their mistake and at all.

From a whole menu , garlic souce was missing, i ve had to come back to till, when i got home , i ve realised there was also a collectable missing, came back there, renew my order , checked again, there was an another thing missing. GUYS, JUST CHECK THE ORDERS, THERE IS ALLWAYS SOMETHING MISSING ! Bud deamn, 3 times in a row on the same order ?

I usually come to this establishment and always have to wait 20 minutes for a normal cheeseburger meal when I come in. Today however was the last time I will be coming. I went into the drive through and ordered the BBQ Mc crispy, they got my order wrong twice by saying we have the Philly Cheese burger. Then they brought us another different meal to what we had ordered. When we arrived home I noticed they had given me a normal Mc Crispy not the BBQ which is £3 extra than the normal. Really disappointed, No excuse for constant problems. Whenever we order a hot drink it comes half full. I understand establishments are busy but I come here at least once a week and there are always problems. The fries are always cold never made fresh.

Used the drive through this morning, the young lady at the window was so busy chatting with her colleague completely ignored me, and on handing out my drink just held her arm out the window looking the other way chatting with her colleague and nearly dropped my drink in the floor. What happen d to basic customer service, a polite greeting and interaction with the customer. She couldn't have cared less.

staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, showing no regard for customer service. Unfortunately, the manager's attitude was no better, which reflects poorly on the overall management. I would not recommend this place to anyone based on my experience. Their behavior was unacceptable and made the entire visit unpleasant

Went through drive through and got one of the meals completely wrong. I asked for a plain cheeseburger happy meal with chocolate milk shake. Got home and the cheeseburger in the happy meal isn't plain and the milk shake is banana. This is not the first time mistakes have happened with our meals and I'm getting fed up with coming here now. This costs me diesel everything I have to come back and get the correct meal. Also some of the staff that work on the drive through you have to explain more than twice what I want Repeating myself and still the order is wrong. I don't get how they can get an order wrong when it comes to on a screen. This time I didnt come back to change the order that was given incorrectly as I needed to feed my 5 year old daughter and I didn't have time to come back to McDonald's Dunstable.

Ordering was very simple and easy. I quickly got my food as well I would recommend this place to other people

The food is served cold, the sandwiches are poorly assembled, and this is the third time in a row that sandwiches are missing from the order. And people are sleeping in the restaurant 🤣

Everything was ok, no problems. A special mention for how Amelia did her job, was always smiling and professional with all the customers. Well deserved 5 stars, will eat here again. The only small problem, no activities for children. Manager might want to take at look at other McDs and improve this.

Surly the most basic of quality controls is to ensure the customer receives what they’ve paid for. Two meals packed in the smallest bag possible so you’re unable to check what’s actually in the bag with the bag stuffed with napkins and deserts on top (who wants to be unpackaging your order in the drive though with a string of cars behind you) then you get home and you’re a chips missing. Phoned the store four times and no one could be bothered to answer, maybe they were too busy short changing their customers. Try harder. Much harder. McDonald’s used to be one of the better fast food take aways, now they’re just average at best. No standards.

I ordered from here using Uber and I'm absolutely fed up of them either getting the order wrong, completely missing items or they use deliveryem who come on an e bike and by the time it arrives it's cold and drinks are spilt. I'm also fed up that when I go to the help option on Uber, Macdonald's never refund the wrong or damaged items. I'm not ordering or visiting again. Standards have really dropped.

In Dunstable they ar nor able to prepare an order alwats is missing something.

Needed some food before heading into London for a nightshift. Didn't realise restaurant closed at 9 and I got there just as it did. Soke to Drive Thru as you can't get a truck in there and Naomi and Cian were great. Nothing was too much trouble for them and explaining the situation they sorted me out with no hesitation. Truly an asset to McDonald's both of them. They deserve a massive pay rise.

There is a great gymboree for children

I pay for large french fries and I receive medium fries, I asked about large because that is what I paid and they told me that don't have any fries to make it large

Terrible business, I order meals with 3 Fries and they forget the fries entirely and mess up the order. Whoever runs this place needs to be fired. Literally always happens, how hard is it to read a receipt and pack food.

Last few visits had good service and plenty of stock. Several previous visits in 2023 had seen very slow service (up to 20 minutes), products unavailable and cold food Hopefully this is now past.

Everytime without fail, wether it be middle of day, morning, or night they never seem to ever have Mcflurrys or milkshakes. Yet keep them on the menu advertised and it's not good enough. Be last time here, messed up 5/6 orders over the last 2 months. Unacceptable and very unprofessional.

They need to change this to non 24/7 as they are not they keep closing early or they close at 10 and stop people from eating in !! Stop claiming your open all the time when you’re not it’s very frustrating!!

Great if you eat in, diabolical for a delivery always forget something

As McDonald's go, the Dunstable branch isn't great. Driving into their carpark is a pain, as well as leaving. The service is very poor, less than average, which makes you choose the competitors. I wouldn't recommend this branch.

The slowest McDonald's in the UK I waited 20 minutes, and I speak very badly, I do not recommend it!

Order Details: Delivery via McDonald's McDelivery app, automatically using Uber. Problems: - Missing items: 2 large fries, and milkshakes that tasted only of sweetener, not chocolate. - Both burgers were lukewarm - generally food is lukewarm over many years. Customer Service Issues: - McDonald's Dunstable:Multiple calls led to unhelpful and seemingly unqualified individuals, falsely claiming to be managers. Nobody could process a refund. A 'manager' provided an unmanned phone number due to COVID. - Uber:Uncooperative and played games, transferring me between operators. They failed to confirm my details, which were read directly from the McDonald's app. Recommendation: Avoid using the McDonald's app for delivery. Missing items won't be rectified by either McDonald's or Uber.

Almost every time our order is missing something or someone else's order is delivered to us.

Just had a delivery and couldn't even have one bite, stone cold. Wouldn't feed this food to my dog. Disgusting food and the price for it isn't great either.

Priority should always be given to drive-thru orders. We waited 25 minutes for our order, with no one at the counter to assist us. However, we could hear staff chatting in the kitchen. Management needs to supervise the staff more effectively.

Interresting but could do better

This was my first time regarding ordering done by my Wife and me picking up the order 🙃. I was very pleased with the service, but I feel for the staff inside McDonalds, as they don't have enough staff or the time to empty their overflowing bins in the cafeteria, there was alot of rubbish.

A bit overcrowded, however is only one McDonald for Dunstable and Houghton

Ordered breakfast for me and my partner and items that where no on the order turned up and items I had ordered didn't turn up, being over charged for what is an average breakfast, this is the 6th time this year from only this store, staff are lovely but seems no one can follow a single order, which seems like they struggle to do what they are required to do which is fullfill orders. Last time I order from this site.

Bought £35+ worth of take away via the drive thru and even asking them to be sure everything was in the bag, we get home to find they left stuff out of our order! I wasn't going to fight through all the town traffic to go back and correct so I hope they will refund it when I go back with the receipt another time. Really really bad service and the simplest of things to get right. Please sort this out as it's happened multiple times to us. We shouldn't have to go through the bag to check out order every time.

Worst McDonald’s I’ve ever had!! Ordered my daughter a happy meal after her asking all day for a “grinch happy meal” we decided to go for dinner. I distinctly said “with toy please” and the man replied with “yes that’s fine”. Gets home…. Book!? Not even a grinch book a left over Halloween book?? What 6 year old actually wants a book anyway? That’s not the worst bit, fries are so cold they taste like cardboard and the new cheesy mcCrispys that I ordered to try are just normal chicken burgers with mayo and lettuce, that is it, that is all. I’m so peeved I don’t even want to eat the rubbish! Worst McDonald’s experience I’ve ever had, and none of them are brilliant let’s be honest.

Today I went up to the counter with my mates to get some sauces. He asked for 3 sauces and in return got 3 sauces. HOWEVER the tables have turned and when I asked for my 3 sauces I received 2. I find this very offensive and please give my sauce

Food was delivered cold not worth the money would not use again, first time take away and last .will be cooking next time.

This is the cleanest McDonald’s I’ve ever visited. The cleaner was working very hard in the restroom. Much appreciated!

Both lanes of drive through closed at 6:35 am. Doors locked also. It’s Thursday. Car park empty. It clearly says 24hrs? That’s a blatant lie. Drive past another McDonald’s on way home after nights so won’t be stopping here again.

Rubbish, ordered through Deliveroo and the fries were missing. The only option available was a refund for the missing fries……very disappointed children!

Some little idiot tried convincing me the toasted marshmallow latte didn't come with the breakfast. Then after telling him how to do his job. He charged me for the toasted marshmallow latte and gave me a standard one. This was at 6:55 am Wednesday morning. I am infuriated. How thick does someone need to be to work there??? Worst service I've ever received from a fast food chain. Next time I'll go Greggs, rather than being disrespected like that.

It's McDonald's, what else can you say?

I literally only ordered 2 burgers and 1 large fries. When I stopped to eat...I'd been given 1 burger and 2 large fries 🙄 How can they get something that simple wrong? Dread to think how they cope with larger orders!

A late visit at 10pm on the way home, ordered using in house tablet. Everything is fine at this point, with our number coming up saying preparing, it eventually moved to collect. This is where it went wrong. We had to wait even longer. What is the point in saying collect when it wasn't even ready ?? This isn't the first time it has happened. This is supposed to be a fast food establishment.

None of the ordering display machines ever give receipts been like this for a good yea r and half when questioned about this on a number of times useless BS from management once aponatime stuff. I know it's McDonald's I'm not expecting a 5 star meal, but when you order a large meal and the fries don't even make a medium, and are stone cold it's not great, the Mc rib I had had loads of sauce but hardly any onion or pickles. Then the drive through was slow. Overall just a bad place to grab a quick bite to eat.

Yet again arrived home with an incomplete order on 17/10/24. Guess they neglected to give us the other bag. Tried to ring several times but no one answered. Order number 84

drive thru orders are ALWAYS wrong , and guess what, always in a favour of the restaurant. Im always missing a cheeseburger or fires or something else. Today i was amazed that my order is OK , but at home, i discovered that they have put 4 nuggets in a box where was supposed to be 6. So traditionally i have paid for something i didn't get. This was the last time, as i have enough of cutting me short on my money.

Used the drive thru. Two lanes. For some reason, the other lane was served, and I had to wait in my car for quite a while. There were two other cars served before someone finally decided to serve me. Was about to reverse and leave, but then there was finally a voice in the box. Just a tiny bit disappointed.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo McFlurrys no stars from me. You know you’re really craving some ice cream, you have had a hot sweaty night and you need some ice cream to cool you down. You go to the drive through, you order McFlurrys two but no you hear sorry no McFlurrys. Your heart sinks, is life worth living anymore?

Worst service ever, waited from 2245, these 2 girls finished their shift at 2200 and went outside. They came back, one of them is called Chanel, they went and said that their 'dad' is outside and he's just placed an order...they got their food instantly. Me and some other customers complained and the manager said they didn't have food. After 25min I finally got my food and all they said is they are short staffed.

In the short time and distance walking from the restaurant to the car park, my fries were cold, double cheeseburger was cold and the mozzarella dippers were cold. I feel for the 15+ McDelivery orders sat on the shelf waiting for drivers. Those things will be freezing.

Service at the pick up area inside was poor. Screen said order was ready to pick up, but nobody serving in fact ignored by manager and other staff. Had to be loud to attract the managers attention. Then she got it wrong twice.

They refused to serve me at the till when I told them I struggle using the machines from my autism and they were really impatient and rude towards me who just wanted a small fries and a med coke (-friend)

Came at midnight when advertised its 24hrs no sign outside saying its closed or anything. Saw some people inside eating so assumed door wasn’t working and it slid open when pushing the first door, placed the order then the female manager says the restaurant is closed and then making constant sly comments and digs, saying “I’ve got to do it all again now” staff laughing in the kitchen and she’s telling them it’s not funny, such an embarrassing experience.

I always use this restaurant as it is convenient and cheap, very much like ashbrook fencing who installed a new fence and gate for us and did a fantastic job. Da da da da daaa I'm loving it.

Went Saturday night around 2300hrs, drive through very busy but moved quickly. Staff very good and friendly 👌 I don't eat McDonald's but was for the others and they enjoyed it.

I’m afraid to say but the service was terrible, ordered a delivery & left out two burgers, my children were so upset & went to the drive through to sort out getting the misplaced burgers & staff were rude also the manager, didn’t get a resolution 😡😡I will not recommend this McDonald to family & friends.. it was staff a the restaurant that messed up trying to get a least a refund 😡😡

Not open 24 hours. Called in about 12:15am, on 28/9, but door was locked and drivethru lanes coned off.

Drive Thru : very slow moving queue, caused by the card machines not working and staff not knowing how to fix it. Couldn’t even pay for my coffee - waste of time.

It's a McDonald's. All pretty much the same. No problems or complaints. As always, check your order if using drive thru before leaving! Edit: Had a recent issue with a member of staff having zero understanding about an issue with the app and treating me like an idiot. Down rated. I have had positive customer service response after complaining online to them but it doesn't change the staff members attitude and my feelings about it. I will be avoiding this McDonald's for the foreseeable future after being a weekly customer for a year or more

Food: Well fries still not freshly cooked, other food such as burgers are good. Staff: Staff from the counter is friendly and accommodating. And I highly appreciated the hard work of Michel for maintaining the cleanliness in the dining and the way she clean & organise things in the dining are sparkling clean as you can see in the photo and having good smell, she's 100% asset of your branch. In some other branch you can smell the floor after cleaning is having stinky odor.

I've ordered from this restaurant 3 separate time and every time they miss out burgers from my order! I have tried to call them multiple times and had no response. When calling customer service they didn't give me a full refund for my order and didn't even offer to deliver my missing item at all! Not happy, won't be using this restaurant ever again!

My local, it’s pretty awful. First time we got delivery after moving to the area, Big Mac was missing and everything else was cold. Tracked and the driver had come straight from the restaurant so it must have been cold on collection. Ordered via the McDonald’s app which is outsourced to Uber Eats. They would only refund 1/3 of the meal price for the missing burger, which is about half the cost of replacing it. Another time we ordered a delivery and got someone else’s special order burger - husband is allergic to onions so couldn’t eat it. Called up and was refused a refund even though the sticker clearly had a different order number on it. Now I refuse to get delivery anymore. Multiple times have sat at the drive through for an eternity despite little or no queue. Rude staff at the window. Last visit got 2 iced coffees, one had loads missing. I could go on all day.

Very bad experience. Halfway through the muffin, found egg shells in it. Spoke to the manager Steven. He said he cannot do anything as it was half eaten. How can I find the egg shells before I chew into it?.

Time says it’s open 24h however many times you come overnight and it is closed. The hours should be updated.
