McDonald's in Central Bedfordshire

This is the worst MC Donald’s I have ever been to. They never ever get the delivery right it’s a joke I ordered 3 cheese burgers and 3 fries, obviously they sent no fries absolute piss take. I hate this place I wish they would shut it down and replace with KFC. Pointless excuse of a McDonald’s

99% of the time we have used the drive through the food is cold.

Food was good.. the only two problems I have with McDonald's is most the time the receipts don't works on the big screens and the men's toilet cubicles haven't got doors on.

It’s McDonald’s so not one to normally complain but tonight was my last time using this restaurant. I’ve had plenty of issues previously with delivery but normally dealt with quickly and with decent customer service. Tonight ordered on the APP at 20:35. ETA 21:00 arrived 21:14 ( understand this can change ). Only the 2no meals arrived, cold and without any drinks or McFlurrys. Driver advised they had made a mistake in store and to be fair to the Uber driver went back to collect. He returned 25 minutes later with 1no drink still missing and all of the McFlurrys had melted. Clearly the staff had left these lying around for nearly 40 minutes. Final “straw” so drove down to the store. No apology and rude staff member who replaced the food. Could hear them talking behind the walls and making comments. For some McDonald’s is a stepping stone, for some it’s a career, 3 of my siblings having all worked in various branches. However some of the staff in here would be better served on the doll as they offer no benefit to society. My kids love a treat to McDonald’s but from now on I’d rather drive to Baldock services as this franchise will not receive another penny of my money. Given the price increases which put it on par of proper food takeaways it’s a joke they can operate as badly as they do.

McDonalds need decaf coffee and people will spend a lot more here.

It was good though it's Mt first time there, I enjoyed the atmosphere n my grandchildren were occupied with the table top computer provided. I was also able to link up with their WiFi effortlessly. However, the playground ppl told me about for the children, was closed. Don't know why!

No WiFi and terrible phone reception so no way of loading voucher code. And also they could not provide a receipt

Great place to grab a bite to eat if you are in a car. Long waiting time inside. Better off standing & waiting in the car queue.

Yet again, on this visit, there was no Mcflurry available!! It's not the first time!! Come on guys, get it right!! I was absolutely disappointed that there wasn't the best ice cream money can buy, it's the reason I come here!!! As for the large burger meal I had, it was good, Why don't the burgers look anything like the advertised one? I'll take some pictures next time

Took grandaughter. She loves food. Me personally don't understand, why always busy. Fries luke warm. Burger bland. Only go when gran kidds want to. I find food overrated. And tasteless. Parking you have to wait for some one from drive thru to let you out.

Biggleswade mcdonalds asked for large cappuccino got a small informed them i bought a large so they put the small into a large cup 🤦🤷🤬 not a happy bunny but also not surprised 🤦🤦

Tried to place our order at the screen only to find that there was no connection and payment couldn't be taken, advised to take my ticket to the front desk only to find that the staff there were unfamiliar with how to take payment. This is disconcerting when time is limited by the 90 minute parking allowance.

We usually use the drive thru, last visit I checked the contents of the paper bags as always, due to missing items nearly every time, and all looked fine. Got home and unbelievably one of the 2 big macs we bought, had only one piece of meat in it. How tf does someone making the burgers manage this? I took it back (7 mile round trip ruining the idea of a family meal) and when I explained what had happened, the response was very cold, no apology, then after 10 mins a young bloke emerged holding a bag of fries and said here you are......almost triggered but stayed cool, finally got a replacement burger.......... Will be driving elsewhere next time...and so many more visit since the first post and every time, something missing or wrong, just painful

Will never go there again !! 2 or 3 weeks ago they left a couple of apple pies out of my drive through order and yesterday after a afternoon of treatment at The Addenbrook hospital and another drive through order I got home to find that my banana milkshake was half a cup of watery mush that I had to pour away . I only live 2 miles away from the restaurant how hard can it be to get a order right !!

Cold food and dirty tables - not nice at all

It is what it is ... A McDonalds restaurant. Only had drinks this time of visiting and the service was quick. Plenty of parking.

Nice McDonald’s. Clean, nice layout, fast service and food which wasn’t thrown together like most McDonald’s. Play area outside, parking. Would revisit if passing.

Shame the staff were not very pleasant, infact quiie rude. Order was missing one of two items. Mcflurries had hardly any topping when we did get.

When some1 asks if they can have extra oreos on their sons ice cream does not give the manager who was a lady the right to b rude and rudely say No thats enough in a rudely manner instead of being polite towards the customer

Ordered the £4.79 meal deal from a lovely polite young man, the food arrived with just 2 burgers, layer of cheese and a bit of sauce, nothing else, chips were old and cold. Not the usual standard, as it was the drive thru I had gone too far to go back and complain.

Done a order online with Uber eats and they messed up our order they put no patty in one of the burgers and Uber eats won’t refund and the store won’t do nothing

Ordered through drive thru via the app which is very easy to do. Food was great and fresh.

Ordered a double mcmuffin and it had a big lump of tissue in it and neither mcdonalds or uber eats will refund me. Joke.

Never expect a 5* Michelin meal from any McDonald's but Biggleswade is just poor. Cold, undercooked fries, dry buns. If you like the pickles don't bother asking for any extra in your burger as you'll literally get one, no not one extra, just one slice. But if you ask for extra ketchup they literally flood the 'food'. Very funny isn't it. I'm sure they do these things for a joke.

Friendly staff, good service and food. Outdoor play area for kids. Car park is decent size however it is normally very busy and full, there is Lidl across the road for further spaces.

Ordered takeaway and when delivered chips were barely filled and the big mac…. forget the sauce! wouldn’t care so much if i hadn’t been to a mcdonald’s in Antalya and Toronto canada in the last 6months and can now see how bad the quality is and how much they short stint customers on their orders! not good enough. Especially at such a high price!

Used the drive-through so didn't go inside

Food was ok, service was pretty nondescript. No straws given with drinks, no serviettes given with meals and no salt was available for the fries. But it was clean inside.

I recently visited the McDonald's at [biggleswade], and I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I ordered a McFlurry, and to my dismay, it was barely half full. It felt like I paid full price for half the product, which is completely unacceptable. When I approached the manager to address the issue, I was met with rudeness and a dismissive attitude. Instead of rectifying the situation or at least acknowledging the mistake, the manager was condescending and made me feel like I was the problem. I expect better from such a well-known establishment. This experience has definitely made me reconsider ever coming back. I hope McDonald's takes note and improves their service and staff training. ---

4 times now over the past year I've used this drive-thru, specifically asking each time "are you sure it's all in there", and every time being assured it was. And no it wasn't. If you can't provide even the basic level of service to actually give the customers what they've ordered then you shouldn't be trading. Abysmal.

They seem to aim for consistency here, consistently missing off items from your order!

Poor service, got a wrong order when he used the drive thru now need to check before you drive off. Got the wrong order in our uber eats delivery agai need to check before the driver leaves.

Floor was dirty, dried ketchup and chips everywhere. Wrong food given refused to change it for the right ordered.

I recently visited the McDonald's in Biggleswade and had a disappointing experience. The staff were rude and service was very slow, with a 15-minute wait for a basic cheeseburger. This lack of efficiency and courtesy significantly impacted my visit.

Messed my order up and not for the first time.

A good clean McDonalds however, recently they've started closing the walk in section with no indication that's it closed on the door. EDIT: It's worse because sometimes they have no note at all to say that the instore dining is closed. This especially happens at night. It's irritating to arrive at the store on foot to realise that the only way to get food is via the drive through with it not even being clear on the app that its drive through only at any given time. The foods still good but if you can't find out if the stores actually open until you're there it's freaking pointless to go on foot.

Frequently wrong orders, it's not that hard is it? It's printed in black and white yet the staff still can't get it right. Can't read or just incompetent? Maybe both. Speaking to the management, I'm surprised they can wipe their own arses without assistance, but then, it is McDonald's.

It's macdonalds, same as every one. Food average, vegetarian option okay but not great. Same as everywhere. Not a lot to say.

I come here most mornings for my latte and black tea. I am often served by Allysa (I hope I spelt this correctly), she is lovely, always has a smile. She has served me for years. I also would like to acknowledge Carmen, amazing lady, you can see she is committed to her job. Today I met Millie, young lady with a smile. I work in a sector where we rely on feedback and feel I should give credit where it is due. Well done ladies, you are making a difference and I hope McDonald's recognises you and all you do. 😀😃🙂🙃😊

Slow, rude staff waited 20 minutes for a coffee

Can anyone explain the difference between a regular McFlurry and a Mini? Why are we putting Mini quantities in full size McFlurry containers nowadays? Would like a refund. How don’t the workers even see a problem with this when serving it? I usually order Mini every time but today I wanted more and took a leap of faith only to get ripped off as usual.

The fries, without fail, are ALWAYS cold and/or soggy. On top of that they always ALWAYS ALWAYS forget an item or two. Just had a delivery and the fries were inedible and I was missing my quarter pounder.(wouldn’t mind but I only ordered two meals and they missed one of the burgers out!) It’s not that hard to make sure the food is hot, edible and to actually get what you paid for, surely….surely?!?! AVOID.

If there was an option for less than 1 star I would have picked it!! Order was wrong, staff were rude, and there was zero effort to either offer an apology or give an explanation! When I did actually get the food, half of it was cold as they had left it on the side whilst they corrected the mistakes they had made with the rest of the order!! Avoid if you can. Terrible customer service!

I found a big blonde hair in my sandwich (mc crispy deluxe). I was very sad, because it would be my dinner.

Frustrating, not open 24 hrs as advertised. Tried visiting on a few occasions when they're supposedly open. Disappointed this branch is managed badly. Visited once again. This time 4.30 am, ordered on the app fine. When I arrived I was told they were only serving drinks so I left empty handed again. Consistently bad. AVOID.

Terrible service. Staff are incredibly rude. It appears to be run by teenagers, who clearly don't want to work. Food is awful and often missing items. Last time I use this McDonald's.

Every time I order a delivery they miss stuff out, it happens maybe 1 out of 3 times which is an Uber eats problem according to them? Unless you go through the drive thru your food takes twice as long. Food is actually ok most of the time but it’s constantly a mid experience ordering from here.

The issue is the orders are often wrong and the food is often cold but you get what you pay for.

Went to the Drive-Thru, the staff didn't have a reciept so they practically hoped for the best when they packed our order. We parked, I then noticed that there were some missing fries. I then went in to claim the missing fries, no bother. When eating the food there were only 4 nuggets instead of 6 which I was really dissappointed about, confusion from the beginning of the order and lack of quality control, if people do come here make sure to always check the order, especially the amount of nuggets, shareboxers proceed with caution.

Love that you can order to your table via the app very handy when you have a toddler and a baby who both need feeding at the same time, plus with the point system and deals its and added bonus! Only downfsll is the lack or.room beteen the chair and tables sometime especially when trying feed baby mostly on the booths.

Waited in line for over 25 mins there was obviously an issue in the kitchen but the fact that the staff failed to communicate that there was a long wait or what the situation was is very disappointing.

A nice McDonald's. It is spacious and clean. I visited at 10 am on a Tuesday and it was empty! Downstairs is small with some seating, a few ordering kiosks, disabled wc, and a lift. Upstairs, there are lots of seats, more kiosks, and the wc's, which were clean and a decent size. There is a drive thru, plenty of outdoor seating too as well as a children's play/climbing frame.

Terrible experience again. Gave two wrong burgers in wrong boxes so i thought they were correct when I checked in drive thru... till I got home and cold fries on my order. Milkshake machine worked though

Slow service lettuce was yellow little sauce added to wrap . The bread was I don't think it was made of wheat a plaster of paris mix you could have ate it a year later no goodness involved . prices increased so much no longer fast convenience food . Overpriced junk .Parking is tightly packed can't even open doors fully . Only good thing it was clean .

When here on 26/01/2024, place untidy, staff miserable, no eye contact or smiles, yet again milkshake machine broke, was told "it appens" food not very hot, this was our 2nd visit to this McDs 1st time just as bad but we we,r willing to give them another chance, never again, grandchildren couldn,t even go on play park as yet again.....still not open

Never know a McDonald's so dirty. Tables dirty, floor dirty, toilets dirty. No toilet paper, sanitiser empty. No receipts available from the order terminal, another Customer mentioned the order terminals were not giving receipts or order numbers before Christmas. The door glass was soiled with some horrible residue.

It's McDonald's. The only time you only really notice anything about a branch of McDonald's when the experience is more disappointing than usual. The car park is modest. The building is a weird, colourful, yet soulless layout. Like the 1960s came back to haunt us, but without miniskirts or the Beatles. There is no sauce in the sauce dispensers, and it looks like there should be, but never has been. The empty tubes dispense nothing but slightly-below-typical-room-temperature disappointment, with the option of wasted time. You have to interact with staff to obtain sauce. They don't always prompt you, sometimes you have to prompt them. Is the plastic-encased sauce as nice as the pump-action sauce when tasted from a small waxy paper cup? You can decide that for yourself, but not at this branch, obviously. On this visit, one of the touchscreen terminals was not functioning, meaning that (unlike your mum) people were queuing up to finger it but not getting anywhere. There was no table service on this visit either, meaning you have to waìt with your little ticket for your order to arrive. We generally accept that McDonald's has become Argos. Overall, no more disappointing than usual.

UPDATE: visited on 18/12/2023 to go in for a coffee. Waited 12 minutes for a coffee and no customers were inside. The place was a mess with food all over the floor, rubbish overflowing in the bins. There was more than a handful of staff stood around doing nothing apart from having conversations with each other. Not interested in making the place look respectable. Photos added. My most decent visit hasn't changed my opinion of this particular McDonald's. The car park has litter falling out of the bins, a great first impression to anyone. Using the drive thru is painful. Order a black coffee at 05:30, I'm the only car in the drive thru, no one else is being served. I drive around they keep me waiting 14 minutes. When it's served it's was pretty much thrown towards me, which is probably the reason they serve is luke-warm rather than hot. Attitude of staff is disgusting. On my last visit I ordered a double cheeseburger, again no one in the drive-thru as it was just after midnight (I work shifts). The whole process took 18 minutes, not fast and when I looked at the burger it wasn't food. The burger was cold, not slightly warm, the cheese was rock hard and there was no sauce on it. How this place continues to be open is amazing. You really need to look at the staff you're training because they seem to be afraid of serving hot items. Either that or the training needs to be investigated. How can this McDonald's consistently get it so wrong 100% of the time, they all work off the same food product, cooking facilities and the rest around the country are exactly what you expect to pay for. I wouldn't waste my money here again. I'll take a longer drive to Baldock services when I want a McDonald's in future.

Ordered a large Chicken Big Mac meal in the drive thru. Paid for a large chicken big mac meal. Quickly checked the order and saw the box said chicken...came home and gave it to my partner and she asked why I had gotten her a medium Mc chicken sandwich meal. I was like what?? I was given the wrong order!! My partner says its not the first time that's happened either. Shame it's the closest one to us. Defo checking better next time!

There's a lovely lady who works the floor, usually in the mornings. She recognises me by face even though I don't usually (Thursdays) come as often anymore and she's very customer-oriented. Kind and accommodating, asks follow up questions rather than the usual "hi, how are you, here's your order, have a nice day!" I don't know her name but praise to her, character, professionalism, and her "customer care" mindset.

Second time in a row missing order for delivery. Do you work or do you just go there for fun ?

It is what it is. You see there is nothing that wows when I come to these “restaurants”. I have usually had a drink the night before and I find myself carb hunting in the AM. I always appreciate the touch screen demi gods. These mean I have no need to actually communicate with humans at such an unearthly hour. I like the speed of service, the breakfast fills that alcohol induced hole nicely and I do get exactly what I expect to get… However, and I say this in all seriousness. I could not go to McD’s for anything other than breakfast and cannot realistically call it a restaurant or even entertain that level of cash expenditure, when considering an “eating out” experience or even proper food scenario. Can they ever escape that? Having said all the above, if you are 17 or around that age and out with friends. Or, find yourself in similar situations as I (post a celebratory session). Or, maybe just less than fussy and just needing sustenance at whatever cost… well then why not? Apparently I have (by accident) found Macdonald’s market and I do not think they really mind that much because if they did. They would sell alcohol like they do in Europe. However, they do not. Mainly because those in the McD ivory towers have also have worked out their market, their demographic and the British way. Hic! So, breakfast yes, free range eggs and oddly processed cheese anyone?
