McDonald's in Central Bedfordshire

I come here most mornings for my latte and black tea. I am often served by Allysa (I hope I spelt this correctly), she is lovely, always has a smile. She has served me for years. I also would like to acknowledge Carmen, amazing lady, you can see she is committed to her job. Today I met Millie, young lady with a smile. I work in a sector where we rely on feedback and feel I should give credit where it is due. Well done ladies, you are making a difference and I hope McDonald's recognises you and all you do. 😀😃🙂🙃😊

Slow, rude staff waited 20 minutes for a coffee

Can anyone explain the difference between a regular McFlurry and a Mini? Why are we putting Mini quantities in full size McFlurry containers nowadays? Would like a refund. How don’t the workers even see a problem with this when serving it? I usually order Mini every time but today I wanted more and took a leap of faith only to get ripped off as usual.

The fries, without fail, are ALWAYS cold and/or soggy. On top of that they always ALWAYS ALWAYS forget an item or two. Just had a delivery and the fries were inedible and I was missing my quarter pounder.(wouldn’t mind but I only ordered two meals and they missed one of the burgers out!) It’s not that hard to make sure the food is hot, edible and to actually get what you paid for, surely….surely?!?! AVOID.

If there was an option for less than 1 star I would have picked it!! Order was wrong, staff were rude, and there was zero effort to either offer an apology or give an explanation! When I did actually get the food, half of it was cold as they had left it on the side whilst they corrected the mistakes they had made with the rest of the order!! Avoid if you can. Terrible customer service!

I found a big blonde hair in my sandwich (mc crispy deluxe). I was very sad, because it would be my dinner.

Frustrating, not open 24 hrs as advertised. Tried visiting on a few occasions when they're supposedly open. Disappointed this branch is managed badly. Visited once again. This time 4.30 am, ordered on the app fine. When I arrived I was told they were only serving drinks so I left empty handed again. Consistently bad. AVOID.

Terrible service. Staff are incredibly rude. It appears to be run by teenagers, who clearly don't want to work. Food is awful and often missing items. Last time I use this McDonald's.

Every time I order a delivery they miss stuff out, it happens maybe 1 out of 3 times which is an Uber eats problem according to them? Unless you go through the drive thru your food takes twice as long. Food is actually ok most of the time but it’s constantly a mid experience ordering from here.

The issue is the orders are often wrong and the food is often cold but you get what you pay for.

Great staff, food prep is excellent, hot, salted fries and well constructed

Went to the Drive-Thru, the staff didn't have a reciept so they practically hoped for the best when they packed our order. We parked, I then noticed that there were some missing fries. I then went in to claim the missing fries, no bother. When eating the food there were only 4 nuggets instead of 6 which I was really dissappointed about, confusion from the beginning of the order and lack of quality control, if people do come here make sure to always check the order, especially the amount of nuggets, shareboxers proceed with caution.

Love that you can order to your table via the app very handy when you have a toddler and a baby who both need feeding at the same time, plus with the point system and deals its and added bonus! Only downfsll is the lack or.room beteen the chair and tables sometime especially when trying feed baby mostly on the booths.

Waited in line for over 25 mins there was obviously an issue in the kitchen but the fact that the staff failed to communicate that there was a long wait or what the situation was is very disappointing.

A nice McDonald's. It is spacious and clean. I visited at 10 am on a Tuesday and it was empty! Downstairs is small with some seating, a few ordering kiosks, disabled wc, and a lift. Upstairs, there are lots of seats, more kiosks, and the wc's, which were clean and a decent size. There is a drive thru, plenty of outdoor seating too as well as a children's play/climbing frame.

Terrible experience again. Gave two wrong burgers in wrong boxes so i thought they were correct when I checked in drive thru... till I got home and cold fries on my order. Milkshake machine worked though

My big mac was discombobulated, fries were soggy. Took around 40 mins just to get 3 desert items and got it wrong, workers were giving dirty looks and just talk not even work. mtcheww, would give 0 stars

don’t bother coming here if you think you will get your food nicely presented and hot. Rude staff, dirty tables, long waiting time and messy assembly of burgers. I would give 0 stars but i can’t. >:(

Slow service lettuce was yellow little sauce added to wrap . The bread was I don't think it was made of wheat a plaster of paris mix you could have ate it a year later no goodness involved . prices increased so much no longer fast convenience food . Overpriced junk .Parking is tightly packed can't even open doors fully . Only good thing it was clean .

When here on 26/01/2024, place untidy, staff miserable, no eye contact or smiles, yet again milkshake machine broke, was told "it appens" food not very hot, this was our 2nd visit to this McDs 1st time just as bad but we we,r willing to give them another chance, never again, grandchildren couldn,t even go on play park as yet again.....still not open

Never know a McDonald's so dirty. Tables dirty, floor dirty, toilets dirty. No toilet paper, sanitiser empty. No receipts available from the order terminal, another Customer mentioned the order terminals were not giving receipts or order numbers before Christmas. The door glass was soiled with some horrible residue.

Waiting so long than another McDonald's

One of the worst I have been to. Luke warm food ( they were not busy ) ,chips limp and oily.

Very slow service last night food was cold aswell and no milkshakes or ice creams so not good and that's a daily occurrence so no good

It's McDonald's. The only time you only really notice anything about a branch of McDonald's when the experience is more disappointing than usual. The car park is modest. The building is a weird, colourful, yet soulless layout. Like the 1960s came back to haunt us, but without miniskirts or the Beatles. There is no sauce in the sauce dispensers, and it looks like there should be, but never has been. The empty tubes dispense nothing but slightly-below-typical-room-temperature disappointment, with the option of wasted time. You have to interact with staff to obtain sauce. They don't always prompt you, sometimes you have to prompt them. Is the plastic-encased sauce as nice as the pump-action sauce when tasted from a small waxy paper cup? You can decide that for yourself, but not at this branch, obviously. On this visit, one of the touchscreen terminals was not functioning, meaning that (unlike your mum) people were queuing up to finger it but not getting anywhere. There was no table service on this visit either, meaning you have to waìt with your little ticket for your order to arrive. We generally accept that McDonald's has become Argos. Overall, no more disappointing than usual.

UPDATE: visited on 18/12/2023 to go in for a coffee. Waited 12 minutes for a coffee and no customers were inside. The place was a mess with food all over the floor, rubbish overflowing in the bins. There was more than a handful of staff stood around doing nothing apart from having conversations with each other. Not interested in making the place look respectable. Photos added. My most decent visit hasn't changed my opinion of this particular McDonald's. The car park has litter falling out of the bins, a great first impression to anyone. Using the drive thru is painful. Order a black coffee at 05:30, I'm the only car in the drive thru, no one else is being served. I drive around they keep me waiting 14 minutes. When it's served it's was pretty much thrown towards me, which is probably the reason they serve is luke-warm rather than hot. Attitude of staff is disgusting. On my last visit I ordered a double cheeseburger, again no one in the drive-thru as it was just after midnight (I work shifts). The whole process took 18 minutes, not fast and when I looked at the burger it wasn't food. The burger was cold, not slightly warm, the cheese was rock hard and there was no sauce on it. How this place continues to be open is amazing. You really need to look at the staff you're training because they seem to be afraid of serving hot items. Either that or the training needs to be investigated. How can this McDonald's consistently get it so wrong 100% of the time, they all work off the same food product, cooking facilities and the rest around the country are exactly what you expect to pay for. I wouldn't waste my money here again. I'll take a longer drive to Baldock services when I want a McDonald's in future.

It's a McDonald's but nice and shiny with extra ordering terminals on the second floor so if its busy nip upstairs.

Ordered a large Chicken Big Mac meal in the drive thru. Paid for a large chicken big mac meal. Quickly checked the order and saw the box said chicken...came home and gave it to my partner and she asked why I had gotten her a medium Mc chicken sandwich meal. I was like what?? I was given the wrong order!! My partner says its not the first time that's happened either. Shame it's the closest one to us. Defo checking better next time!

Frequently waiting a long time in drive through and they always get the order wrong (this will make it the 5th time). Make sure you double check orders when using drive through

There's a lovely lady who works the floor, usually in the mornings. She recognises me by face even though I don't usually (Thursdays) come as often anymore and she's very customer-oriented. Kind and accommodating, asks follow up questions rather than the usual "hi, how are you, here's your order, have a nice day!" I don't know her name but praise to her, character, professionalism, and her "customer care" mindset.

Forgot food when I ordered and found hair in food

Second time in a row missing order for delivery. Do you work or do you just go there for fun ?

It is what it is. You see there is nothing that wows when I come to these “restaurants”. I have usually had a drink the night before and I find myself carb hunting in the AM. I always appreciate the touch screen demi gods. These mean I have no need to actually communicate with humans at such an unearthly hour. I like the speed of service, the breakfast fills that alcohol induced hole nicely and I do get exactly what I expect to get… However, and I say this in all seriousness. I could not go to McD’s for anything other than breakfast and cannot realistically call it a restaurant or even entertain that level of cash expenditure, when considering an “eating out” experience or even proper food scenario. Can they ever escape that? Having said all the above, if you are 17 or around that age and out with friends. Or, find yourself in similar situations as I (post a celebratory session). Or, maybe just less than fussy and just needing sustenance at whatever cost… well then why not? Apparently I have (by accident) found Macdonald’s market and I do not think they really mind that much because if they did. They would sell alcohol like they do in Europe. However, they do not. Mainly because those in the McD ivory towers have also have worked out their market, their demographic and the British way. Hic! So, breakfast yes, free range eggs and oddly processed cheese anyone?

Poor service is an understatement!, and food is always cold! Had to complain on every visit. Staff (including management) are rude and need retraining in customer service and basic food hygiene. I would recommend the Biggleswade branch to anyone!

Advertised as a 24hr McDonalds... I went at 01:20 last night and the drive through was closed and front doors locked. It is not 24hr.

You never, EVER get given a full serving on large fries. It's so bad and it's been going on for so long, I now just order normal fries over large. Sounds crazy right, but it's a running joke in my family lol. Next time you use this restaurant, see for yourself. Apart from that, the food is ok to good normally but getting a mix up on your order happen's more often than it should. That said, the staff fix mistakes with no issues or fuss.

McDonald's Biggleswade is awful Staff are rude and not very helpful. Food is more than often incorrect on an order. If ordering hot drinks they never think to bring out sugar or stiring stick. Sauces never come even if ordered. This I have to say is the worst I've ever visited.

Quicker to go through a busy drive through than order inside.

Absolutely appalling service several customers stood waiting to be seen by staff and all they did was stand staring and talking completely ignoring the customers calling them for some service also rubbish all in front of counter and staff had no manners at all a let down to the McDonald’s franchise.

Got our order completely wrong, so they over charged us and we didn’t realise till we got home. Waited 10 minutes and the food was cold. Staff were unprofessional and playing games in the kitchen. I’ve never written a complaint or a bad review before, but this is genuinely the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to.

For what we know to be a standard product sold across a huge network of outlets, the variation in quality of the products and service is astonishing!

Ordered a late-night meal in the app. It went through and I watched the updates go through. Suddenly the delivery was canceled. Now it says they can't deliver to my address. Strangely enough I got a delivery a couple of days ago to this address through the app. So now I'm home from work with no dinner. My mistake for hinging my dinner on bloody McDonalds ha.

Once again, the Biggleswade McDonald's doesn't disappoint when it comes to the order being served intracellular l incorrectly - having checked the bags to be sure all our order was there (even the sauces!) we get home to find the "cheese share box" (very clearly labelled inside and out) did in fact contain 5 chicken selects - for once it was a win with McDonald's - I'm just glad we weren't vegetarian!

Food looked nothing like the photo, not as much filling. Why don't I learn, even tho I only visit a few times a year.

Ordered takeaway and when delivered chips were barely filled and the big mac…. forget the sauce! wouldn’t care so much if i hadn’t been to a mcdonald’s in Antalya and Toronto canada in the last 6months and can now see how back the quality is and how much they short stint customers on their orders! not good enough. What was already a stressful evening was made worse when our £30+ drive-through order had some of the items missing!! Meaning I had to travel 2 miles back to this md to get my missing items!! My compensation was an extra portion of fries to replace the cold ones at home!! Was the extra fuel worth using!! No!! The burger was warm, my milk shake had thawed, and the fries tasted partially raw!! And what was worse!!!! No mcflurry!! Out of stock!! Come on, md, you can definitely do better than this!! I was very disappointed, but then again, what should I have expected it's md!!

About absolute clown show, and Ronald wasn’t even there! I am working in the area, so drove through the drive-thru on Wednesday 2nd August around 3.30pm. After paying, the employee asked me to move to Bay 1, as he had to meet his ‘stats’ target as they were taking too long to prepare a cup of coffee (😂). Five minutes later, still no coffee and no other drive-thru customers were waiting. So I went to the collection hatch and asked where my coffee was and was told ‘I forgot’ 🤔. I let this failure go. However, today, I did the same thing. I went to this drive-thru to place an order. I was the only car there. It took the employee at least 1 minute to a acknowledge that I was at the intercom (Lane 1). When she finally spoke, she asked me to wait a minute. In the meantime, a car pulled into Lane 2 and was served instantly. That was enough for me, I just left without ordering. Two days in a row and bad service on both days (and it wasn’t even busy). Whoever manages this facility needs a rocket 🚀 where the sun don’t shine. As a result of this experience (both days combined), I will never visit this facility again. One of the worst Maccies I have ever come across.

Only seem to be open when they feel like it staff inside but drive thru closed not doing anything 2 we’re on phones and won’t pay attention to anyone if they want help rude!!! Most of the managers are jokes aswell

Ice cream was melted, like ice machine is brocken... Pity, the menu is not flexible, i thought if I'll ask bacon wrap, i will have that, but...no,i did get bacon ann chicken nuggets.... The toilet haven't got hand soap.

i am handicapped so i don’t really trust restaurants when they say they’re disabled friendly but i really do love this one! my mom took me here and she was wheeling me around in my wheelchair all around the mcdonald’s i was slipping and sliding everywhere. at one point, i had slid into the window and went plummeting out, honestly it rlly hurt but once i had had my busy bee meal i was fine 👍

Very slow it's busy but having to wait 20 mins for a bacon roll when there's 2 cars in drive through. The delivery of buns being eaten by magpies when I told the young lady in the window she just said they always do!" Come on sort the staff .. they're young and need guiding

Biggleswade McDonalds is the best I have been to. The staff are so pleasant and it always looks very clean. Well done.

Cold food had to heat up in oven which wasn’t even that great, missing 2 items from order and was deliver with a cracked lid on my drink which spilled everywhere

Why advertise a 24h service when you are closed until 6/7 am?

Staff more interested in mobile phones and talking .I was served 2 cold burgers, which my partner exchanged only to be given 2 fresh burgers with no burger in the buns.

Service has improved but I was in there at 6am. No salt, sugar, stirrers out. You have to ask for them. Never seen this before. Prices still rising.

I ordered a brownie and I DIDNT GET ONE , I need my money back

Absolute joke. I’ve had a long day today and I arrived there at 12:30am and knocked on the window as the door wasn’t opening and the lady said it’s closed when it’s 24 hours. How does this make sence. Such misleading and especially for me as I am Autistic and got learning difficulties and yet they don’t explain it properly online if it’s just the Drive thru only that’s 24 hours but that’s just stupid. The restaurant should be open aswell. It’s misleading and it’s not fair. I am hungry and was buzzing for a Big Mac and biked all the eay there for nothing which took me over 20mins. Gunna speak to the manager there and send a complaint email to Mcdonalds Complaint center. They probably won’t care considering the prices have gone up yet I can’t order anything there. Extremely angry.

Chips not cooked, food cold awful.

Possibly the worst McDonald’s I’ve come across in the UK. Awful customer service, more often than not the orders have been incorrect. Then there’s be issue of McDelivery (Uber) I have lost count of the amount of tiene our order hasn’t shown up and we’ve not been allowed a refund. It’s got so bad I’ve now refused to go here and drive 7 miles the next closet store. Should be ashamed.

It's not a place I would visit again. It's probably OK for a drive-through. There were too many staff members getting in each others way and no sign of a leader to calm them. Really, it was chaotic.

It's McDonald's! Would have been higher but we keep having to ask them to open all the seating areas to get a seat. For some reason they try to keep upstairs closed as much as possible..
