BuenAsado Argentine Steakhouse

Walton Central, Elmbridge
29/05/2022: Best steak ever. I chose the Rump. Cooked to perfection. Staff were first class and answered all questions regarding the food and wine. Restaurant was clean and tidy and very comfortable.
28/05/2022: Excellent restaurant, cadre convivial. Beaucoup de choix et évidemment, une viande délicieuse. Je recommande chaudement.

Bad Boys Burgers

Brunswick and Adelaide, Brighton and Hove
11/05/2022: Perfectly executed burgers. One of the best I have ever eaten. Will defo be ordering again. Chips are so good as well
10/05/2022: Expensive burgers, but worth it once in a while. Top 5 I’ve tried worldwide.

Hooden Smokehouse & Cellar

North Willesborough, Ashford
08/06/2022: Lovely little gem. Nice snug cosy pub and a massive garden with play area for older kids with a handy separate play area for the smaller ones to enjoy. Food is awesome and staff are friendly, can honestly say we've always enjoyed our time there..
04/06/2022: If your hungry, don’t bother going here! Portions are pathetically small, I’ve seen bigger kids meals. I ordered a ploughman’s, it had the smallest cube of cheese, 1 slice of fatty gammon, pot coleslaw and pickle and last but not least 3 bits of gem lettuce. My sons fish and chips, was supposed to be a adult portion but the fish smelt and tasted of ammonia, far from fresh, I just hope he isn’t ill later from the few mouthfuls he had! Rip of prices for very poor food. Won’t be going back. I noticed they had a certificate of excellence dated 2019 clearly that slipped in past three years! Customer service very slow, nobody came to ask how are meals was!

Joe's Burger House

South Portslade, Brighton and Hove

Fete N Lime

Marine, Adur
03/05/2022: Food was good, server was polite but kind of aggressive. I went there to have a business meeting, she interrupted us more times than I like when I'm eating. Don't worry, not all black people don't tip. I tipped. All im saying is I ordered water, I dont do soda and I don't need to drink alcohol with every meal. Therefore, there's no need for me to see u as often as I did. Clearly my client and I were having a detail filled conversation. Felt a break in points I made, having to pause to answer, "how is everything" over and over. Let me eat please. Damn, let me talk to my client without interruptions.
01/05/2022: Wife and I have gone here for multiple anniversaries, never disappointed us.

Dirty Bones Oxford

Carfax, Oxford
01/05/2022: Really well presented and great tasting food with some great service, welcoming and friendly staff. Good selection of beers and cocktails to choose from. Wings, ribs, burgers and lamb fries are all among the recommendations!
25/04/2022: Really nice place to eat. Simple food done well and in a nice friendly atmosphere.

The Railway

Ringwood South, New Forest
13/04/2022: This is a truly awful restaurant and pub. Totally overpriced poor quality monotonous food. Staff don't look like professional mourners. Everything dirty and tacky. Avoid this place like the plague!
09/04/2022: Found this pub thanks to an internet search. It's a cracking find an old pub revamped as a great beer and burger joint. The pub is highly rated by CAMRA and I can see why it's bursting with a variety of amazing looking beers. Sadly there is so soda on tap and any soft drinks are from cans. The food is great a selection of 'dirty' burger's. The Dorset Blue Vinny is delicious. We had some Korean fries and chicken wings. These were a little over heavy on the sauce.

The Porterhouse

St Bartholomew, Winchester

The Cow Co Restaurant and Shop

West Wight, Isle of Wight
01/03/2022: Really nice food. Perfect for visiting after the farm. Good service. Nice decor. Can also order food and drinks from an app which makes ordering so much quicker and easier. Child and dog friendly.
26/02/2022: I've eaten here four times and you hope that a venue updates the menu and changes it. Unfortunately it's not changed and they have issues that stop them from being a truly awesome beef restaurant. What are they missing?- no barbecue - no smoked meat- no selection of steaks- burgers made with very lean meat (dry not juicy)- they refuse to cook your burger outside of well done (cooking beef over rare or medium rare is a sin for me, you get a really dry flavourless burger patty that's sad to eat)- the gluten free bun is dry and crumbles like stale bread, sourcing a better bun would be easy- the option to double the pattyWhat could they improve on already?- their loaded fries are wet and lacking flavour. Treat them like loaded nachos with fresh guacomole, salsa, jalapenos and mozerella then you'd get something really nice. Squirty cheese and lettuce isn't good.- why not roasted corn?- why is there not an element of fresh dairy butter on the menu? - same for dairy based desserts? (stock Crave in Ventnor and you have some of the best in the UK.....)- a toasted tongue sandwich?- the best beef shin and tail stew you've ever had?- beef gelatine desserts - beef marrowThe area has the vibe of a ranch with lots of kids activities and outdoor areas to explore. Just doing a couple of basic burgers when the attraction is local produce being celebrated fully is sad. I would like to see more nose to tail eating with a more ranch dining experience that's essentially Brazilian barbecue meets tex mex in flavours and implementation. It just goes best with the scenery and it would diversify the menu appropriately. I think it's more important than ever to embrace local produce and whole food/nose to tail eating so I think it's a hugely missed opportunity to develop this venue and it's menu like you'd have "back in the day" or at a good farmers market in North America. The last straw was the burgers not being allowed to be even medium rare but well done. The burgers can't be a draw because good burgers have something like a 30-40% fat content which just isn't there and they used the first gluten free bun they could find. These choices push out foodies. In every other way the restaurant ran in a very standard and normal way. It's just the food doesn't reflect the venue or the opportunity to utilise and celebrate as much of the cow as possible.

The Quills

Rochester West, Medway
21/03/2022: Two of us went out on Friday, we had a good starter, a burger each one of them the Krispy Kreme (don't ask) and then puddings. All came hot and freshly prepared and was very tasty. Our server was a very pleasant young man who had some serious biceps, tried to warn my friend about the KK Burger and agreed that a restauarant of that size should have a selection of draught beers
13/03/2022: This was a pick by my daughter for her 21st where she said it had everything for everyone where a view of the menu before offered lots. On arrival the restaurant looked small but opens up, we have a good size table and the staff were attentive. The food and service was efficient but we weren’t pushed or hurried which was nice. The staff were brilliant with our two younger kids. I had a main like most of party the double chicken burger was amazing, the kids food was pasta and fish fingers and my wife had a vegetable cauliflower curry which again was lovely. The food was cooked perfectly and offered a great range for everyone, all clean plates! I was pleasantly blown away by the quality of the food and brilliant service, shout out to Fraser who was our waiter who was fantastic. We will be going again next time we are in Rochester. 5 ⭐️

The Porterhouse Grill & Rooms

Jericho and Osney, Oxford
15/03/2022: Discovered this place by accident . Really excellent food, extremely pleasant staff. Can strongly recommend it
13/03/2022: Myself and my husband ate here for the first time last night. The steak was amazing, the wine was lovely and the service was brilliant. Such a gem of a restaurant, we woukd highly recommend!

Brewdog Reading

Abbey, Reading
06/03/2022: Went there for a drink with friends. It was quite crowded and the staff friendly. Noticed that the staff kept the place clean and possibly disinfected between customers. However, the food there was dismal. We ordered every single type of wings on the menu and though they took a while to arrive (expected with the crowd), the food had a sour taste to it (vinegar?). I then went on to order the "kluck Norris" burger. And for the £13.75 I paid, I'd say the quality was pretty bad. There was too much mayo, the covering for the chicken was burnt badly and very hard to eat. Had to throw 90pc of it. I did mention this to the person serving us but all we got was a cursory "oh" followed by a half hearted mumbled apology. My friends were happy with the beer, but we all agree that the food was the worst. All in all, this is a pricey place with decent beer choices and bad food.
21/02/2022: Such a great environment - great beers, knowledgable and super awesome staff, and the food is utterly ace.
