The service was TERRIBLE, we waited over an hour for our food, as did all the tables around us. Many customers were complaining. We were told that the wait was so long due to the kitchen being short staffed. This is understandable, however it would have been best to tell us this before sitting us at the table so we could choose to wait or go elsewhere. Our waitress was visibly stressed and upset about how the lunch service was going; demonstrating a serious lack of good management on this shift. Tables were not being cleared or cleaned and the stress from the staff was clear.

I have waited this long to write my review as I have emailed the restaurant but have not had, to date, a response from them so this tells me even more about their service. I'll keep this as brief as I can. We went for my sons 18th, there were incorrect orders, cold steak, a broken cup served to my 85 year old dad, who cut his lip on it, and my mum was extremely ill for a few days afterwards, she had the fish and chips. Dont get me wrong, the cup was replaced, the steak taken away and warmed up but this should not have happened in the first place. In total over £400 spent on this night, my younger sons order was wrong so he didn't eat it, and I was pretty embarrassed by this point to call them over yet again and my son said he didnt want anything anyway after that and yes, I paid for a full plate of food, I know, my fault. The staff were pleasant and helpful enough when called over but honestly they could have taken more notice of everything coming to the table so we didn't have these issues, had they even bothered to respond to my email sent a few weeks ago I may have had an outcome from it to tell you, but alas no response. I saved hard for this special evening and was disappointed so I would advise you to save your money or spend it somewhere else.

I went with a few friends today and we loved the interior , upon looking at the menu we figured it was pricey but sounded pretty good , the staff had air pods in which was a red flag and the establishment had an overall of 3 tables in and that includes us which is red flag number to , i ordered the cheesy burger i believed it was called with a side of mac and cheese which was a total of £13.99 and when it arrived i was shocked it was a small bowl of mac and cheese although disappointed with the size of it, it was very nice. However my biggest disappointment was my burger i feel like it was equal to a £1.99 cheeseburger from Mac Donald’s and i was very upset with the size . Overall my experience was okay at best … Our server was lovely it’s just a-shame some staff had air-pods in when they were on floor and the food was very small for its price

Started queuing at 10.50 with a sign up saying wait time for food was 8 mins. Got seated quickly enough mmjw to be told it was lunch menu only. Disappointed but ordered anyway. After 40 mins still my food. That's simply not good enough when you're trying to catch a flight. Really bad show. 👎

This is about an incredibly disappointing experience my family and I had at the Aztec Temple Restaurant at Chessington Aztec Hotel on the evening of 11th April. When we arrived, there was no staff at the check-in kiosk. After several minutes of waiting and searching, we finally found someone to check us in. Despite the chaos, we were asked to pay approx. £100 UPFRONT, even before being seated. Just minutes later after being seated, we were told by a staff member that the restaurant was closing - despite having just been seated and having paid full price. There had been no prior warning at the time of payment that the buffet would close imminently. The food options were limited and poor. The starters included just two options: a Thai-style poppadum and a bland savory pastry. The salad bar featured limp vegetables and stale beans - certainly not worthy of the price that seemed extortionate. It was clear the buffet had already begun winding down before we even arrived, yet we were still charged full price. When we raised the issue, the manager assured us we could take our time and that the restaurant would stay open for us to finish. However, just minutes later, another staff member contradicted this, reminding us again the restaurant was closing. This back-and-forth left us feeling rushed, nagged, and incredibly uncomfortable. To make matters worse, both I and my child experienced digestive discomfort and acidity later that evening - undoubtedly caused by being rushed into eating substandard food under pressure. What should have been a relaxed family meal turned into a stressful, overpriced, and physically uncomfortable experience. I formally escalated the complaint the next morning (12th April), while still at the resort, but no one from the team contacted us during the remainder of our stay. The response we later received was dismissive - suggesting the matter could only be handled at the time, despite us raising it in real time. We have been offered a 20% discount for a future visit which is both inadequate and impractical, as we clearly mentioned that we have no intention of returning. We feel misled, let down, and ignored. Guests deserve better communication, respect, and value for their money.
