TGI Friday's - Cribbs Causeway in South Gloucestershire

Don’t often write reviews, but felt I needed to this time. Our first night without our children in over a year and we were excited to have some ribs. Ordered 2x full rack of ribs (one ultimate, one regular) and some drinks. Took around an hour to arrive, and when placed on our table the server just said ‘bbq ribs’ and hastily put them down, no mention of which were ultimate… and it was a different server to who took our order so she wouldn’t have known our orders. We then look at our plates as the server hurries off. My partner had 4 ribs and I had 5… they were definitely half a rack of ribs. Considering the full rack of ultimate ribs were £30, there was absolutely no way we were letting them convince us these were full racks. I hovered by the kitchen for a good few minutes while 4/5 members of staff just stood talking. Eventually someone came over (bar staff) who said they would send someone over to check. Another few minutes passed until someone returned and confirmed that a) she put through full racks b) we were served half racks and c) she couldn’t tell which were ultimate and which were regular. She did apologise and took things off the bill (making up something about how she tried to give us both ultimate ribs because my code wasn’t working for the full ribs upgrade - but she said she’d get the code when we she got the bill so I know that wasn’t true as I hadn’t given it to her!). It spoiled our night we were so much looking forward to and worst of all we were still hungry!! It was also no longer hot as we had to wait for someone to come over! If we wanted half racks we would have ordered half racks. I understand things go wrong, I’ve worked as a server before, but I feel they were trying to cover up their mistake instead of being honest. All it would have taken was being up front and apologising instead of hastily throwing them down and running away hoping we wouldn’t notice! All in all a disappointing evening. There were also another few tables complaining about their food/service. It wasn’t even busy! Sadly won’t be returning a lot of money for a disappointing evening.

The waitress April was friendly and cheerful. Had bottomless sesame chicken and was really tasty. Enjoyed the meal and service

Myself and my partner came here for a meal together and we cannot believe how expensive it is. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but the service was extremely slow, especially considering it wasn't busy at all! We waited a long time to order and for the food to come. The food was OK but so expensive for small portions, £10 for a starter of 4 small ribs, £20 for an average burger and small portion of chips with no sides. We also felt extremely rushed out once we'd finished eating. Definitely wouldn't come again, absolutely not worth the money and you can get much nicer food elsewhere for your money.

Place wasn’t that busy, staff seem too pre-occupied chatting rather than taking orders. After waiting for so long to even get someone to take our drink order (which they never came over), we walked out and the person at the front meet and greet desk just said “ok” after I complained about staff chatting and not taking an order. Don’t bother with this place.

Decided to go here for lunch with the husband and 2 kids as it had kids eat free if you had to use the app. Quite a small menu for the adults and seemed a little on the expensive side. The kids menu was a good choice of food and a good price. My husband had the smashed glazed burger with fries which he liked. I had yhe glazed chicken strops with pickled red cabbage and fries I enjoyed the food but i wouldn't rave about it the menu choices or prices of the food. As my husband had a nut allergy the manageri had to takeaway his order only I didn't see why he didn't take all the of ours order's to make it easier. We ordered the kids meals first as myself and my husband didn't know what we wanted so expected to get their meals first. The first order thar cane out was my husbands and 4 mins later it was everyone else's. The waiter had 2 hands so surely he could of taken one of the kids meals out at the same time as my husbands meal. The kids did have a small activity pack to keep them occupied which was good. Also i found the background music to be a bit loud It was hard to think about what I was doing and talking about over the music. It was OK to have it on, just a bit loud

Poor service, poor food and wouldn’t go back! Doreen, our server, was the best thing about the place and apologised on TGIs behalf! The place was almost empty, waited over 30 minutes for lunch, when we asked we were told we they were waiting on fries - when it arrived the fries were stone cold so just BS really from start to finish

This particular restaurant was diabolical. Floor was so sticky you could glue yourself to get floor. Service was very slow and food average with watered down dips. Cocktails were ridiculously pricey £16 for two but if you wanted only one it was still £16 and had to be two the same and more ice than drink. Wouldn't recommend to anyone and will not repeat the experience.

We used to love TGI’s, coming here was always such a treat. I can honestly say after this last visit we will never be back again! The menu seems to have shrunk beyond belief and the prices are just eye watering - £25 for a burger?! I wouldn’t mind paying it if the food was exceptional but it wasn’t by any stretch. The appetisers (£8 - £10 a pop) were clearly fresh from the Iceland range - no cheese left inside the mozzarella sticks/cheese donuts and they tasted vile. It’s probably an insult to Iceland actually as I’d do a better job heating them up in the air fryer at home. 3 out of 4 of the ladies toilets were locked with nobody in them and the only one available was blocked without a working flush. I took a chance on the disabled toilet which flushed but wasn’t clean and smelt awful. Apparently they’re checked every hour. There was discarded food on the floor next to our table which stayed there for the duration of our visit and sadly we were sat by the kitchen so could see how disgusting the floor was in there too. I also witnessed food being dropped from plates on the way out and quickly picked up and put back on before they made their way out to the restaurant. Just shocking. I probably would have chalked it up to experience and moved on without bothering to review but when you’re charging those prices it’s a disgrace - you should be ashamed of yourselves for asking for that kind of money for such basic, poor quality food in such a dirty environment. Stay away! TGI bosses you need to get in here and sort this place out - it’s letting the whole brand down.

Service was appalling, mucked up order nothing written down order from memory not a good practice. Slow service , training well what could I say, nothing on that other than what training. Won’t be returning.

I don’t normally bother leaving reviews but each time we’ve been to this particular tgi Fridays it’s been bad . You wait ages to be seated even though the place is dead . This evening especially we waited to be seated - every empty table was full of dirty plates and staff just stood around. Some one eventually sat us to a table and all the tables around us were filthy with plates pilled on them. We waited and waited for someone to come a take an order from us - even drinks but no one came so we ended up just getting up and leaving. Staff all young and look like they can’t be bothered to be there. Won’t bother returning .

We choice starters which arrived with no cutlery or side plates. They were nearly £10 each and they were so small. We ordered loaded potato skins, which were actually more like wedges than potatoes. Our mains arrived before our starter plates had been cleared but there was ample time for this to have happened. My husband and I asked for cutlery and it took us asking 3 members of staff before any came to our table. Meanwhile our main meal was going cold. I order a glass of red wine at £11.25 a glass (cheapest by the glass was £10). It arrived chilled!! And in a dirty glass. We asked 3 times for table water and the waitress finally brought over one glass and then said -did you all want one?!! The waitress must have felt our pain and explained about the rewards vouchers you can claim by downloading the app. We claimed for our two children to have free meals off the bill and we still spent £95!!! It’s the worst service and quality of meal I have had out in a long time!!

Arrived at TGI Cribbs Causeway around 14:15 Sunday 28th April asked for a table for 4 people. Was asked to take a seat at the bar and our table would be ready in 15 minutes. Barman great, we ordered our drinks, sat down and checked out the menu while we were waiting to be seated at our table. After 10 minutes we were shown to our table, only to be lead through the restaurant with half the tables having dirty plates, cutlery and glasses left, this should have been a warning sign. Our server came to our table after a 10 minute wait and asked if we were ready to order. We gave our order, the server repeated our order, all was correct at this point. We were not asked if we wanted to order more drinks, she just left with the menus. It truly went downhill from here. We were waiting 25 minutes for our starters to arrive, potato skins, mozzarella sticks and nachos. Starter arrived hot, they were placed onto the table, we asked for cutlery which should have been either on the table waiting or given to us when the starters arrived. We finished our starters, stacked the plates and moved them to the end of the table so a server could easily grab them as they were walking passed. No acknowledgement from any servers that we had finished and no effort made to clear the plates away. Our server came over to us 20 minutes after finishing our starters and asked us if we wanted our bill? we explained that we finished our starters and were still waiting for our mains to arrive. She apologised and walked off, again not attempt to clear the plates or ask if we wanted more drinks (at this point our glasses were all empty). A member of our party had to hunt down a server, remind them that we had been waiting 40 minutes for our mains and no one had come over to ask if we wanted more drinks. Hesitantly the server came over to take our drinks order. 45 minutes since finishing our starters our mains arrived, worryingly the fries were cold so I checked my chicken burger and sure enough that was stone cold. The meal was sent back, only to return less than 4 minutes later with a 'freshly' cooked burger? How can they take 45 minutes to cook the original burger, yet only 4 minutes to cook the second?..... obviously they warmed the chicken up and restacked the burger. During our time spent in the restaurant (we were in there for over 2 1/2 hours) we were horrified by what we saw. a) Staff casually walking around talking to other team mates but clearly forgetting their customers, had our table been looked after a little more we would have usually ordered 4 to 5 rounds of drinks. b) The cleanliness of the restaurant was disgusting. The young servers were moving dirty dishes onto the adjacent table, proceeding to spray down the table which still had food bits on and brushing it onto the floor. No attempt to clean the floor. c) Complete lack of enthusiasm and awareness of the diners I asked a team member if they could make an effort to clear down the table which was next to me, it was being used a dumping table, dishes, glasses, rubbish being piled onto the table next to me while i was trying to eat my meal made my experience extremely unpleasant. I appreciate that it helps to move dishes onto one table where they can then sort and remove, but to dump it onto the table next to me and leave it there for over 20 minutes is not acceptable. The restaurant was not busy, although the front of house staff member, kept seating people rather than asking them to have a drink while a mass clean up session took place. Seemed to have a complete lack of organization there. We have never experienced the lack of service we received today. We asked for our bill, the young lady said ok and walked off. We saw here tapping away at the till, then turned around and walked off towards the bar. 5 minutes later another server came over and asked if we wanted anymore drinks? We explained we had asked for our bill but it has not been brought over. The reason why the first server didn't return with our bill was she was spotted by me walking out across the carpark with her coat on. Clearly she did not want to have a late finish. We complained and received a 25% discount, which was an ok apology, the 4 of us left the restaurant annoyed, upset and wishing we had gone somewhere else. All I can say is that after many years of visiting TGI Fridays, we will not be visiting again. The whole restaurant looked dirty and untidy, no atmosphere, completely soulless and the staff were not great.

We’ve just been here for dinner. We were on our way to Birmingham and decided to stop at TGI’s on our way as we love it. From the moment we arrived it was horrendous. We walked in, multiple members of staff were stood at the station and not one acknowledged us despite looking up at us. We were then taken to our table by someone who literally said ‘any allergies’ and then took us to the table. We ordered refillable drinks and our meals but here was little conversation or acknowledgment from our waiter while he was at the table. Our drinks then took over 30 minutes to arrive, and noticed the table behind us were complaining about various issues that they were experiencing. Our drinks were brought to the table and because of the wait we asked if we can order the refills if it was likely to be a while, and the guy said ‘we use the same glasses’ and walked off. When our food arrived, it came in dribs and drabs. Mine arrived and was wrong, my plate was taken away and brought back minus the chips with a huge skid across the plate like it had all just been thrown around, and my chips came out about 5 minutes later. My burger was cold and dry and seemed like it had been sat out the back for a while. We didn’t get checked on. We didn’t get offered refills for our drinks despite our glasses being empty. We then asked a waitress to hen she went past, our drinks came out at the same time we had asked for the bill. One of the waiters came to the table, didn’t give us a bill, just stuck the card machine in our face. So we didn’t get to check it. It was the worst dining experience I’ve had in some time and I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. It has majorly gone downhill and for the price we paid I expect more. We couldn’t raise concern to anyone in the restaurant as quite frankly not one member of staff gave us the time of day and we couldn’t grab anyone to speak to.

Came for lunch with my husband and two children. Took a while to be met and seated, then a very long time to have our order taken. Food came around 40 mins later in a staggered fashion, so my son was left waiting for his meal. All the chips were stone cold, sent the adults back, children ate theirs as they were starving by this point. The bun on my son’s burger was like ROCK, inedible. The adults burgers were mediocre at best. The only one who was happy was my daughter who thoroughly enjoyed the mac n cheese (a side she enjoyed as a main). The entire restaurant was a shambles, it was a busy Saturday lunch time and all you could see was people looking frustrated as their food was taking ages or they were unable to order. The staff were polite and obviously trying their best, but they seemed woefully understaffed to deal with the customers. We were told our son’s food would be deducted from the bill, it wasn’t, so we pointed this out and they did oblige, Our waitress was very sweet and apologetic.

AJ had great service! Fast and friendly, an asset to your team! :) The Ultimate American Grill was great, and as always Chicken Sesame Strips were incredible, the Jack Daniel's Sauce (Friday's Legendary Glaze) is so good - Wish we could buy a bottle!

Our waitress was amazing, staff were run ragged all that management could do was shout at the top of her voice saying how stressed the staff had made her feel She also directly spoke to our waitress saying she needed to go home.. Bullying comes to mind as our waitress was very accommodating.

Awful! Just awful. Got shown to a table and then ignored. Finally someone came to take our order. We ordered two pints of lager which took 25 minutes to arrive.we have the seaseme strips as a starter… £9 for a bit of chicken in soggy batter! Totally not worth it! Once we had finished this it took forever for them to clear this one plate… 6 different staff members walked past us without taking it. The main meal took FOREVER to arrive. It was medeoka at best. During our visit a couple sat across from us, they were delivered two pints of Coke and told someone would Coke take their order.. 15 minutes later still nothing. They finished their drinks and left. Service in this place is absolutely terrible. A whole night ruined and we will definitly not be visiting again.

Called in on the way home from airport for late afternoon meal and got a nice surprise with a greatly improved veggie and vegan offering from TGI, I had the no chicken strip starter followed by an excellent veggie burger, nice patty not soggy bean burger, topped off with a two for one Margarita cocktail.

Walked in around 5pm, initially started to be told that there would be a 25 minute wait for a table of 3, but another waitress interrupted and said there was a free table for us. Went to go and sit down (walking along the sticky floor that you'd usually get in a run down nightclub back in the noughties). Full roll of blu roll left on the seat when we pulled it out to sit down, so put it on the table, nobody seemed bothered though. Sat browsing the menu and could not BELIEVE the prices, £9.50 for an appetizer, the mixed grill over £30, struggled to find any dish under £15 here but the majority being over £20 each. Cocktails didn't seem to give a price for a single only advertising two for £16 .. didn't need two and didn't seem like a 'buy one get one free' deal when you're spending £16. Sat waiting, and waiting and waiting. Even made eye contact with a server, as several of them were dithering around the hostess station. Several stood just talking to each other. Had a table of about 30 next to us and watched their server bring their drinks two at a time ... Table next to us got seated, still completely ignored. So after around 10/15 minutes of being completely ignored, we decided to up and leave. Terrible service, ridiculous pricing for standard of food. I highly recommend Mollies Diner just a minute down the road, incredible food at far far better prices with incredible service ☺️

It was pretty bad from to start to finish. They couldn't find our booking (were fairly rude about it). Once finally seated service was SLOW. All good was terrible (pasta, fajitas and burgers). The cocktails are a rip-off there's no way I'd pay £8 for that... Much less considering it's original price was £16! We'll never go again. It's a shame as I had find memories of Fridays a few years ago.

It took 45 minutes to be served. Initially told we could split bill but then told no, then OVERCHARGED us by £52- STILL NO REFUND and igniting emails. AVOID

It was my second visit with family to this restaurant this year. Although the first visit was ok apart from the really slow service, it's a convenient location and the kids seemed to like it so thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. The waitress was helpful and promptly took our order but unfortunately the the food took ages to come, about 40mins. In that time and as frustrations grew, I noticed the overall condition of the place, its starting to look a bit tired in there, and it was really dirty. There was food on a chair on arrival and trim missing from the table which was a sticky mess. Having finished my drink I noticed how dirty the glass was, cloudy with grease and remnants of lemon welded to the rim (there was none in my soft drink). A visit to the WC with my son confirmed that was filthy too, the floor needed a proper mopping and the tap fixing. When the food finally arrived, I was massively underwhelmed. £18.50 for the Chimichanga that I was presented with was disgraceful. There was no photo on the menu and I have since googled it, and even considering the "dressed" photos online, I fail to see how that is worth £18.50. My portion was half the size of the photos and looked beige and bland. I returned the plate which was accepted (I have never returned food before, indeed this is my first review on here), fortunately I had a side of fries. My wife had the tex mex salad, which was also pretty uninspiring but cost significantly less. I have been to other TGI's over the years which were great with fond memories, but I'm afraid I wont be returning. My advice would be to choose one of the other restaurants a couple of minutes walk away.

This place is a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant. Cold food, incorrect orders and nonexistent customer service to name just a few highlights of the visit. If you can’t catch don’t bother going because your food is literally thrown at you. If you can’t run don’t bother going because you will need to chase your server down if you need anything, that’s if you can spot them of course. If you’ve got £100 to waste and need a good laugh then give it a go.

We were shown to a table for 2 which was a booth style table. Unfortunately the leg room at these style tables is nonexistent. I'm 5 ft 9 and couldn't get my legs past the table leg without having to try and do some kind of gymnastics move, so had to sit diagonally. We asked to be moved which the server did reseat us to a better table. Our starters came out but no sign of our drinks. We finished our starters and still no drinks. Had to ask about the drinks. When they drinks did arrive the mojitos were awful, they were the worst tasting mojitos we'd ever had. My main was fine, I had the sesame chicken strips, however there is absolutely no way this meal is worth £19.70 for essentially what is chicken nuggets and chips. Total rip off. My partner had the glazed double stack burger which he said was awful as it was so dry and had no flavour. We paid for our meal as didn't fancy dessert as everything on the menu is now so ridiculously expensive. Having paid for the meal the server then took away my drink which was still 3/4 full, didn't ask, just took it. Needless to say the whole experience from start to finish was awful. Would never return again, as the restaurant just don't seem to care about the customer experience, the food, or the drinks, and the place was absolutely filthy.

Sienna was a lovely host. Very attentive. Food was expensive but well worth the money. Was very quiet for a Saturday evening.

Really disappointed. Service was awful, waited ages for drinks, wine was luke warm. Starters came (eventually) hardly as warm as the wine. Tiny little pots for sauce, only half full. Long, long wait for mains, 4miserable ribs with not enough sauce and indifferent salad with no dressing. I asked for dressing and was told it doesn’t come with dressing, if you want some, it’s and extra £. My son had mixed grill, which was pretty miserable too. Waitresses not interested, sloppy, tables sticky, like no one cared. We didn’t stick around for desert and certainly won’t be back. 88quid totally wasted.

Popped in for a bite to eat before cinema, worst mistake! Should of walked back out soon as i was ignored when walking in. Rude girl eventually got us seated, took 10mins for someone to come to our table even tho place was pretty much empty. Place was dirty, sticky tables, crap food, no atmosphere in there any more seems like the place is ran by kids. Never again.
