Miller & Carter Cribbs Causeway in South Gloucestershire

Great New Year's Eve meal last night at Miller and Carter Cribbs Causeway. Service from Mollie was excellent. She was very attentive, ensured we always had drinks and most importantly was very friendly and smily. All 3 courses were amazing. Highlight for me was the 12oz ribeye. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. This was our 2nd New Year's Eve visit and we will definitely be back again this year. We went at a later time of 9pm which was perfect as the restaurant was a lot quieter. I highly recommend Miller and Carter at Cribbs Causeway.

Great food ! Came here for New Year’s Eve , our Grill Chef was Atilla and server Ruth. Everything was brilliant. Meat was perfectly cooked. And Ruth was really friendly and helpful with menu. Highly recommend the place !

First visit here and must say from being greeted on way in to being served drinks at bar then shown to our table and throughout the meal the staff were a great credit to the place very friendly polite and professional+my 8 Ur old daughter particularly liked the waiter who took over from the lady before as he also has a daughter same age they even waived the desert amount due to small waiting time which was fine much appreciated guys highly recommend.5* service .❤️

Service took forever, steak lovely , chips, onion loaf and fish dish burnt, chap in charge wasn't interested in my feedback. lack of service meant we couldn't even order drinks

First class service and great food

My husband took me here for my birthday. Our server was very nice, attentive, and knowledgeable. After a delicious starter of scallops, we had a sharing steak platter. This was divine. I was unable to eat it all, so my husband helped out. I also had a lovely cocktail The dessert looked delicious, but we had no room. A lovely atmosphere and fantastic service I would highly recommend going here.

Worst plant based burger I have ever had. Served 10 minutes after everyone else's food ( all of which looked really nice ) It consisted of 1 dry bun, 1 burger, a very large lettuce leaf, slice of packet cheese and pink onion on side - everything cold. No sauce and no avocado. I wish I had complained but was with company and didn't want to spoil the occasion. Visited 12pm December 18th. Party of 6. Sadly, for the benefit of others my first negative review. Vegans keep away!

We had a fab time for my partners birthday. Food was amazing and Barbara who served us was lovely too.

Ordered Sea bass after double checking with the waitress that it would be a whole filletered fish, only got one overgrilled /overcooked sea bass fillet. I did question the waitress and she just brushed me off. What annoyed me was that I have always been to other Branches and the food is just superb. I will not be going back to this branch.

Came here for a secret Santa swap and all I can say is this restaurant has ruined all other restaurants for me the service the food and the atmosphere blew us out of the water I don’t think I’ve had a better restaurant experience in recent times Barbara was very attentive and very bubbly and was a delight to have as a waitress

I had a Sirloin, medium rare with a bone marrow Béarnaise sauce and fries. That was amazing! The steak was perfectly grilled, melt in mouth, just how I like it. Thank you for the chef!

I had lunch with 2 friends on December 10th. Our starters were very good. My friends both had the Turkey Ballantine which looked pretty awful and didn’t taste any better! My steak looked lovely, but when I cut into it it was dry, had obviously been left standing for quite a while. The service was good, if a bit slow, but it was very busy with large parties. We won’t be back!

The steaks are great here, I've never had a bad one. The staff are very nice and treat you well. The lunch time menu is great value. I'll will be going back soon.

Lovely dining experience. Served by Ruth who was super busy during the Christmas period and was excellent.

Steaks were prepared well and the wedge salad with honey mustard was good. There were a few things that could have been better. We sat for a good 40 minutes waiting for our food. The chicken wings were dry and could have been sauced more or served with a side of sauce. The seafood wasn't prepared well. It didn't seem like the scallops were pan seared as there was no sear and a bit lackluster with how small they were. The lobster was served without being cracked or opened making it difficult and messy to open. The onion loaf wasn't cooked consistently some parts were over cooked/burnt.

Great friendly staff but quite slow service. Very cosy atmosphere, overpriced food but decent for Valentine’s Day offers. Steak was tasty with great sides but nothing special.

My wife and i go here for a "date night" a few times a year, lovely staff and beautiful steaks. The sides are awesome aswell. Overall worth every penny. Most recently we were served by Barbara who was lovely! We’ll be back soon!

Lovely place, I had Barbara serving my table and she was lovely and cheerful and catered to my needs perfectly. The atmosphere is great, it has a lounge feeling with the ambient lighting. The food was fantastic, I had the the 10oz fillet steak - cooked to medium, with peppercorn sauce. It was perfect. Definitely recommend if your looking for good quality and your money's worth.

Amazing staff. 2nd visit this year it's a shame that they allow travellers to dine there.first time they all done a runner 2nd time problem with they're food absolutely vile people

We had decided to eat out for a mid week treat. And booked on line for M&C . We were served by the lovely Ruth and she really was . Nothing was too much trouble and she made sure we were happy with our meal . She was able to have a little chat with us and was still very professional. The food arrived at our table piping hot and delicious. What a fab meal & what super service.

Wonderful evening meal from Chef Bevan. Alison looked after us so well. Always helpful and quick. it is very much appreciated steakhouse to go to.

Alison was excellent as our server and made a lovely effort at using chocolate on plate to wish me happy birthday even though I didn't buy a dessert. Bevan cooked my steak to perfection and all our other food was beautifully cooked also!

We had great service from Barbara, who was excellent, especially as we had autistic children with us. The steaks were also well cooked by Gary, and my dietary requirements for gluten-free food were catered for. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.

We enjoyed our visit to Millers the food was nice and well presented, the menu has changed recently which is a shame I am now limited to one item to choose from. Have to say the staff are great especially Junior he is very attentive and such great energy the kid deserves a pay rise.

Alison moved heaven and earth for our meals to make this meal as accomodating as possible. Always asking how we were getting on and if there was anything she could do. Amazing work

On Thursday we visited this restaurant. We ordered steak with the set menu sides. One quarter lettuce arrived consisting of 4 leaves that had been fluffed up to make it look like a full bowl.on complaining this was replaced. The meal arrived but everything was barely warm (the sauce even had a skin on and the butter did not melt on the steak) so we asked for them to be returned and waited for a hot meal. The plates were returned and everting had obviously been microwaved, including the steak. I cut into my steak again and instead of being medium well it was rare to medium. I asked for the steak to be cooked some more. This time it came back without the lettuce which had been on my plate. It seemed like it had been microwaved again or why would the salad be removed. I had to ask again for another salad. By the time we both got our meals we really didn’t want them. It was a really bad experience to have at a restaurant Whois supposed to be excellent at steaks. For almost £90 it was a joke.

We came for the new Sunday sharing roast after seeing it on instagram. It was delicious cooked to perfection by Michael. The waiter/server looked after us so well, very fast service and so friendly. Recommend!

Fabulous tasty food plenty of it we had the Sunday roast share platter delicious ! We asked for extra gravy no issues only thing which would of made it excellent would be proper roasties they had new potatoes in skin which not as nice as proper roasties but that’s personal choice Barbara was really lovely nothing too much trouble very friendly and smiley so helpful Could have done with some background music just for a different ambience

If you could select zero stars that would be what this was. Service was awful, took ages to get drinks, food orders came out wrong, burnt and cold. Had to send multiple things back, and they still didn’t come out correctly or warm.

Stunning food and well looked after by the lovely Barbara! A favourite of mine I keep coming back to.
