Decent wetherspoons with a nice garden in the back. Gets quite busy on Fridays.

Stopped by for lunch yesterday. Big range of food, something for everyone including me a vegan. Love that they have cherry pepsi max on tap. My favourite pint! Staff were friendly and service was quick, smooth and efficient. Nice atmosphere and well laid out..liked the front/entrance of this spoons and as always interesting info of building/area. Would recommend.

While initially I would say this wetherspoons is friendly and welcoming its actually a place where the staff does not care what goes on and it's Purley there for profit. Me and my partner witnessed a child being verbally abused, denied food by her grandparents while they were sinking pint after pint..we said something about this, tried to raise it with the staff but it ended up with us getting banned and the culprits were allowed to stay. They didn't care about the child they only cared about selling them more pints. The white guy with the top knot bun and the mixed race young lady were not interested atall in the welfare of the child.. Disgusting.

Can't beat the prices,food good value,and good atmosphere.

Me and my sister usually go here when we shop at kingwood not very often but until today it has always been good.... the breakfast looked liked it was from yesterday n barely warm . When I went to get the tea the station where you get it was disgusting . It was filthy dirty and there were loads of Flys I told the girl doing the dishes . It was awful !! Then there was no normal tea bags everything was decaffeinated. I asked again for normal teabags and got no response .... hence to say we won't be back it's such a shame when it used to be spotless in there ...

The staff at Kingswood spoons make the place, they are all so lovely. They always ensure my breakfast is gluten-free as I'm coeliac and joke there's a button with my name on it! I really enjoy going there, I've been off sick from work a while now and going out for breakfast here is so nice, not only is the food great and inexpensive and the coffee plentiful, but the staff, they're great, and believe me, they aren't everywhere. They are such nice people.

The menu is vast, catering to various tastes with everything from classic pub grub to international dishes.

This Place is dirty dirty dirty The seating areas and tables are filthy. Dirty plates left on the tables for far too long? Smoking area out the front is vile the toilets stink and are also filthy. I don’t expect much as it is very cheap but I do expect my order when I order on the app? I ordered and the funds came out of my bank straight away sat for ages waiting so decided to go up to the bar and ask what is going on. I was told they have no order and it’s my bank’s problem as it’s pending so they can not offer me a refund I showed the manager proof that the money came straight out my bank again she refused to do anything about it and questioned if I ordered for a different weatherspoons? Yea of course I did 🫣 Poor service my advice do not use the app. Please see proof attached.

Spoons is usually really good but the really grumpy woman behind the till was just rude ......bad day or not should be front of house

Always dirty. Very dirty. Tablets are dirty. Seats are dirty. The dirty plates are left on tables for hours. Tables are sticky. Disgusting place

Food is reasonably priced but some of it was cold. Hash browns had a nasty tate. Tables weren't wiped down. Staff were friendly.

Not brilliant. Tough steak for me, (eating my own trainers would have been less tough) and my wife had a Mediterranean salad main course with additional roast vegetables. The main course salad would easily fit into a small teacup, and the additional roast vegetables would have about half filled an egg cup. Won't be hurrying back.

Typical Wetherspoons, which is good or bad, depending upon your opinion! There is parking in the car park nearby, but not specifically for this establishment. Nice range of food and drinks, only been here a few times but always find it pleasant enough.

I'm not sure who trained the staff, but when they bring out food, why can't they take the dirty dishes back in with them.??? We have been here for 2 hours and the place still looks the same.

It was OK there though busy. Had a table with enough privacy to be able to talk and other people's conversations weren't too loud to be able to hear each other which can be an issue with places that have bad acoustics.

Banned for no reason, apparently staff don’t feel comfortable. I had nothing but drinks with friends and family. I have family members that work for Spoons. Because the bar maids boyfriend doesn’t like me I was accused of wrongdoing when it was all fabricated. Absolutely disgusting management.

nice cheap chicken burger and lovely cold leffe but chips needed another 2 minutes they just were not properly cooked and still soft outside and hard in middle

Staff must do better on all levels of service. As a regular customer I shouldn't have reason to complain but I feel let down by lack of attention to detail. Will be speaking to Head office about My concerns.

Good food with quick efficient service. Tables left messy for a while but over all not bad for a Monday night

Cant review food as servise was terrible. Bar staff ignored me whilst chatting about having a night out whilst serving friends entering the bar after me. After 10 mins I left without being able to purchase anything as staff were to busy planning there night ahead

I just had a drinks whilst waiting for my appointment next door at the civic centre. I like to wait this pub because of the drinks were quite good value of money and its unlimited but not the beers. :) Good service and friendly staff.. I am sure they've had a good food like all others weatherspubs food. Best recommended 👌 and worth to visit again.

Met friends for our weekly get together. Ordered drinks @7.58 pm from our table. Inquired with staff @ bar 8.15pm. Was told that they were busy & that there was a huge 45min wait for drinks ordered from the table. I expressed my frustration ' being told this & pointed out that their website stated only a 4min wait. Bar staff just shrugged their shoulders. Not impressed

For a busy local pub,,seems there are more staff enjoying a night off than the 4/ 5 staff working! 2 members of staff( off shift clearing tables and sorting out member of kitchen staff having a temper tantrum and rolling a cigarette behind the bar) Fair play to those staff working their socks off Gotta love a member of staff( again off shift) making comments about paying customers waiting!!!! Really not a great look for the Wetherspoons chain

Twice in a week. Good food and service on both days. Love that the coffee is all you can drink. Bonus when meeting up with people you don't see often. Thank You.

I visited last week. Had a Guinness, a large cod meal, and two coffees. Very busy and happening place, in the day time. Interesting people watching. Very working class. I will be going back there. It is a fun and interesting place. I didn't see any attractive ladies on this visit, but maybe next time, I will. I will be back. I enjoyed my visit and spent about three hours there. It was a rainy day so just as well to be inside.

You can never go wrong with Spoons. And doesn't brake the bank. You never have to wait long for food either. What's not to like!

Great beer.. busy .. a good spoons

If you want a HOT cooked breakfast go elsewhere food came out cold. Ate it as didn't want to make a fuss, complained after, the server didn't seem to care & couldn't get away quick enough.

Normally very good but the blonde haired drongo who should have served me next and then the chap next to me went and served four people in front of us. Complained to the manager who was pleasant but overly defensive. Bad service and I told him so as did other customers. The saddo needs to get a life.

Great experience and good food ! We ate here for a pit stop on our way home and it did not disappoint. Just what we needed after a weekend away.

Quite cheap, pub nothing special.

Considering this wax a weatherspoons it was remarkably nice. The food was good, hot and arrived fairly quickly. The servers were very pleasant. We ordered on the app and it was very straightforward.

When I put my arms on the table I actually stuck to it - gross! Fish and chips ok, burger and chips tiny - the burger and bun were half the size from last time we went. Wont bother rushing back.

Cheap drinks. Useful to have an app to order drinks.

Went for my birthday lunch and unfortunately the service wasn't very good so I spoke to the manager and got us a nice prosecco free 🙂

Always a lovely place for good food and community drinking! Family friendly.

Ordered gourmet steak and mash. Steak was medium as ordered. Mash small portion and side salad. Grandson had med/ well done steak. With chips small portion. Good value for money. Mash and chips could have been a bit more generous. Overall not bad for a spoons pub.

Reasonable priced beer , relaxed atmosphere. Didn't eat there . Staff were miserable and rude .

I got extremely unwell and sick with a lot of pain in my belly after getting curry that tasted very odd but ignored the oddness, after years of being a fan of dinner at spoons. This has a truly left me scared. And wondering what on earth was wrong with my food it was a very odd experience indeed. My friend e and kids got a burger, but my friend tasted my food and got a bit of The same pain that I got with intense Illness. I pretty much have never left bad revues but this was a hole nother level of negative experience ..

Very reasonable prices, friendly staff - especially one particular young man who stands out in terms of his lovely manner, nothing is too much for him, he’s attentive, helpful, polite and a real asset to the place… We always use the app to order, no waiting in queues and food/drinks arrive at your table in super quick time - love that!

Just popped in with a friend for an early afternoon drink. My first visit in years. Didn't eatso can't comment on the food. Nice cheap prices for the lagers!

We have came here for a very long time but the last few weeks I have came in and there has been no CUP'S for coffee

As would be expected from your local wetherspoons. Food filled us up and no complaints on taste. They had a manager's special on the mixed grill so that's what I went for and my daughter had the all day brunch. Quite loud atmosphere being the local pub. Was quite surprised to get a table straight away as most times we've been there it's been rammed. To be honest being a Saturday afternoon (about midday) there really wasn't that many people there. Service was great and food came out fast.

Really enjoyed the place! Great atmosphere and friendly people who knew their job very well.

I love a Spoons but not a big fan of this one. No particular issue as such, just doesn't feel that comfy.

An ok wetherspoons, clean, tidy, but can be a little rough

My fiid was abysmal to say the least. At leastvstaff dont try to hide food comes tonthem all pre packaged and ready portioned. Instant mash, overcooked peas to point if being opaque in colour, chicken was cooked well, gravy cleary gluoed from plastuc messily inti tiny jug and microwaved within inch of recognituon so much it bouled upnsides if jug leaving charred residue and about 1tablespoon gravy for meal. Bizarre eating experience! Freinds chips were reformed potatoes, so even the frozen chips were odd!

Monday lunch time on spoons... what happened to my life.

Usual Wetherspoons. Quick service, good portions & reasonably priced. Nice outdoor seating area.

It was better today l managed to get a low seat and table for my lunch instead of having to sit on a tiny table and a high stool seat like normal as none of the regulars will move so l can sit down.because of my legs and disabilities

It's a 'Spoons on Kingswood... The staff are always really friendly, the food is good and there is a great selection of drinks.

No matter what time of day you turn up for a drink there's always a long que, staff are busy around doing the best part of nothing in stead of helping behind the bar😔 and the food is nowhere near the same quality as the jolly sailor in Hanham like for like dishes it pretty poor all round 😔

Excellent Wetherspoons. Fast service, four bag in box ciders and Blackthorn too. Great stuff.

The pub itself is nice enough, the staff are lovely and the service is good. Sadly the whole place is spoilt by parents who think it is acceptable to bring children into pubs and let them run around unattended as the parents get drunk.

We went here for father's day breakfast. The member of staff who took my order was polite and efficient. Our food arrived quickly and was pretty good. The only reason I didn't give 5* is because while we were eating, I became aware of someone shouting. I was very surprised to see that it was a chef, shouting at a colleague about the food she was in the process of delivering. There ensued a shouted conversation between the two, all the while a plate of food was going cold. The waitress then returned to the kitchen with the food and returned a few moments later looking decidedly annoyed. Very unprofessional of the chef to be shouting across the pub. whatever the issue was should have been dealt with in the kitchen not in front of customers.

We ordered from the small dish menu. Fish chips and peas. Chips and peas were cold. Fish was very good. drinks were amazing (apple juice and orange juice and lemonade, lots of ice and fruit). Good service, quick and efficient. We had to scramble our own condiments off surrounding tables but never mind. Reasonable value.
