The best restaurants serving American food in England

We used to go all the time 6-7yrs back, but the quality has just steadily gone downhill and downhill, and now there's been a change of ownership (Autumn 2024) I hoped there'd be improvements.. tbh it's worse. Table service this evening was a joke, 3 couples who arrived after us having paid and gone by the time we finally had our mains presented. I had the chicken peppercorn thing, just overcooked rubbery chicken, no seasoning, lazy mash potato, and a packet sauce, or at least that's what it felt like - tonight was the last time I'll go..

The food was perfect the service from Cindy exemplary. Then I tried to use the QR code on the receipt to leave a review. Doesn't work folks. Using the airport WiFi. Needs sorting out....

The food was lovely, steak cooked exactly how I like it even though no preference was given, good portions, the pudding was delicious, the only let down was the custard was a little too thick but as it was very busy they did a good job overall, very friendly service.

Forgot to take pictures but the food and service here are second to none! Went in on the off chance as was sooo hungry and my word we were not disappointed! Clean, warm friendly atmosphere and the food is to die for! Highly recommend

We had a reservation booked and when we arrived it was very empty and quiet. As we were escorted to our seats we were given our menus and probably waited about 20 minutes before we actually got seen to again. When we went to order we both wanted sirloin and were told there was none left. He told us that there was only rump and fillet left. So we both decided on the rump and I was told that I couldn’t have it because my friend asked for it first and there was only 1 left. I was really angry we weren’t told this when we sat down or even called or emailed as they knew we had a booking to tell us there was barely anything left in the kitchen. Of course the only steaks that were left were also the most expensive. The fact we were also left for 20 minutes to decide what to eat and not get told was ridiculous. Wasn’t happy at all especially as it was a birthday meal.

Good food and reasonably priced drinks

It proclaims that it is a free house. That means that they are not tied to 1 brewery and can sell various ales. No ales for sale don't advertise what you haven't got

Great service in a relaxed location. Food very delicious, with interesting and unusual flavours. Tasty refillable soft drinks and excellent bottled sauces that are free to use, ala Nando’s.

Visited the Duke of York in Victoria after remembrance day. Popped in for a pint and a snack. It’s got to be the worst food I’ve ever tasted. The staff were very unpolite and rude. You can tell this is a tourist spot. No consideration of customer service, had to ask for a full refund on food, response was shaking their heads. I asked for the company details and email. I’ve just found out he’s written down wrong information. Avoid this place….
