The guy with the blonde comb-over gave me a look of disgust when I asked him if he could clean the dried on ketchup from the table, he didn't clean it, nor did anyone else. Guess he's too good for cleaning tables in spoons. Table 104.

Wetherspoons. You always get what you expect to get at fairly reasonable prices

Cold plate = cold food Fried egg was overcooked looked like a joke egg. Asked for more butter for my toast but was refused

A nice friendly little place with a great atmosphere

As Wetherspoons go, this is a good one! Looks impressive from the top level. Only problem is, there's loads of stairs to get to the upper level and no lift. You have to go up them to use the toilets. There's a disabled one downstairs. Food is cheap and cheerful and service is very fast.

Anymore than 4 up the bar and you're standing there like a muppet for 15 minutes. Decided to do table service and then waited again for 17 minutes. It honestly would of been faster going on the bus down to walsall and ordering.

Great wetherspoons, food usually okay, sometimes cold,send it back. Beer and drinks offers good, staff good.

We have been coming here for years, the food has been good but nothing exceptional, but tonight was different, we had standard meals, but it was cooked lovely, to the point where my husband had to go and say thank you to the chef. The people behind the scenes do not get enough praise and thank you. Tonight's food was cooked and delivered with care. Please pass on our thanks to the chef 👏

The food,whilst hot,Turkey Christmas Dinner,had no gravy put on one of the two dinners purchased,was told £2.00 for a pot of gravy.Seriously£2.00 extra to correct there fsult

My mum is a fussy eater but she absolutely enjoyed eating her turkey, apricot and cranberry stuffing with winter vegetables and cranberry sauce on the side. She didn't like the pigs in blankets but I found them nice and delicious. Her mash was tasty and the peas were tasty. The only issue my mum had was it was slightly a bit salty but once you mix it together with the less salty food it wasn't so bad. My mum even cleaned the plate and that is a rare thing for my mum. I had the fish and chips meal oh wow the batter on the fish was perfect just the right crispiness. The fish was slightly on the dry side for me I like my fish a little bit more moist. The baked beans were ok but seriously there wasn't enough for me to actually give feedback because it wasn't even one portion. The chips were delicious, I would have liked mine to be slightly a bit more crispier. Overall we both enjoyed our meals and the service was outstanding. Would definitely be returning. We have been for lunch today for a family birthday we don’t expect a lot a Wetherspoons but usually the staff are lovely and we don’t have high expectations of the food just cheap and cheerful but food was disgusting and service was really poor even after asking for the manager it was still bad £80 for 5 meals and drinks is not that cheap and cheerful req veg cold food prepackaged meat

I came here for a birthday meal, and unfortunately, it was completely ruined. I usually enjoy dining here, but this time was a massive letdown. I decided to try the new Christmas menu item, The Big Cheese Burger, and added bacon and extra onion rings. When the burger arrived, it was covered in freezing cold brie and stone-cold bacon. By the time I got to the burger itself, it was already cold too. When staff came over to ask how the meal was, I gave them a brutally honest response. Their explanation? They said they couldn’t melt the cheese or cook the bacon properly—they could only microwave it. That’s absolutely unacceptable. If I wanted a microwave meal, I’d have gone to Tesco. The staff offered to prepare a new meal, but they admitted it would be made the same way, and we didn’t have the time to wait for it anyway. So, my options were to eat a meal I wasn’t happy with or go hungry. I chose the latter—I’d rather go hungry than pay £15 for what felt like a poor excuse of a Christmas menu item, let alone a birthday meal. On top of that, the staff gave generic, scripted responses to my complaints, completely ignoring what I was actually saying. It felt like they weren’t interested in understanding or addressing the issue. All they could do was suggest I complain to head office, but we all know how little usually comes of that. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

Come to spoons about 2-3 a month for food & the coffee however the past few weeks the food has been over cooked and tough & the drinks machine has been broken creating the most watery drinks , such a shame I don’t know what’s changed

This was a great pub for dinner, with a large two-floor theatre setting! The walls are smoothly styled and the lighting gives off heavy brightness, counter is well-presented too. I had the signature wrap with chips, although the cutlery was a bit dirty as you can see. Food was nice enough though and my pint of Leffe's was solid, plenty of seating available as well.

We've always been happy when visiting bloxwich Wetherspoons, unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food & service, the food we received was almost cold... also the cutlery was still soiled even though it had been washed & the table was dirty, there was quite a few tables that needed attention, we didnt enjoy our visit at all

My daughter and her friends went tonight, the staff were disrespectful and miserable. They said they felt like they were being watched the whole time due to an individual staff member who didn’t have a clue what she was doing. A group of 18/19 year olds got asked to leave because one person didn’t have ID. My daughter and her friends will not be returning again. Wouldn’t recommend if you don’t want to feel uncomfortable.

Vegetarian breakfast . How can you screw up frying an egg not once but twice resulting what looks like the plastic rubber eggs you find in a childs toy kitchen. Would of delivered the feedback personally should anyone of bothered to do do a check back. Photos are of how food was served I hadn't touched them

I moved away from Bloxwich over a decade ago. The 400 mile journey to come back is a slog. Our nights in The Showman always makes it well worth it. The atmosphere is great. The service through the app is great. The only thing that loses it the 5* for me is the tables are regularly quite sticky. Not a deal breaker and they're always wiped over if you ask without issue. The food here is typical 'spoons which is nothing to moan about! Never had a bad meal here. Portion sizes I suppose depend on who is on in the kitchen. This is Wetherspoons not a Michelin tyres rated restaurant. You get what you pay for and I'm more than happy to pay for the food and drinks here! Staff are always really friendly. I look forward to coming back!

Me & my hubby went to the Showman today Our 1st visit to Wetherspoons pub in Bloxwich It was easy for us to get to on bus.326 outside our house to high street in Bloxwich We both enjoyed our tasty meals & drink. I had jacket potato with chilli butter & grated cheese on top with side salad Freshest salad ever had in a Wetherspoons pub My hubby had his favourite meal he always has in Wetherspoons pub wherever we go Local or on holiday in U.K. We do miss the Malt House at Willenhall shame it was closed He always has the all day brunch I only drink blackcurrant squash He has a pint Carlsberg Lager The 2 ladies waitress & barmaid when served at bar we’re both pleasant helpful & friendly We will visit again

Had a work reunion here on Saturday and it was great service as always

Went Sunday 7.7 2024 for a treat had breakfast there what a let down freezing cold very cheap ingredients coffee machine wouldn't work and to had to the worst breakfast we have ever had it was 15 pounds daylight robbery..never again

Family pub. Friendly staff great atmosphere. And great selection of beers wines spirits. And delicious food. All you really need

Came on 13/06/24 ordered 2 brownies they were unavailable and told we would have a refund but never had one. However decided to come again on 01/07/2024 sat on table 55 ordered all day brunch, sausage chips and beans and cheesy garlic pizza. The egg was ridiculously under cooked, the beans were cold, the one meal was missing a sausage to which the chef grumbled and moaned about when asked for an extra one, which took ages to come I had already finished eating when it arrived and it was also cold and the garlic pizza was an inedible greasy rubbery mess! We would of raised these issues with the manager and/or anyone who did our check back but we couldn’t as we watched the manager clear our check back off the screen and not bother to come over at all, we then sat a further 30 minutes while writing this review and finishing drinks without the table being cleared. Both myself and other half work in the same business for another company and wouldn’t dream of sending out food the way we received it or giving the shocking service we received! I used to work at the showman many years ago and cannot believe how much it has gone downhill!

Great value, friendly, efficient service and a nice atmosphere.

The staff are pleasant, and the atmosphere is generally good. The food, however, isn't consistent, and I'm guessing that's to do with who's in the kitchen at the time. And I kind of wish the disabled toilet and baby change was used for what it says. Everyone uses it, and the smell some days is overwhelming. The door remains open, and the smell travels to where people are eating. The seating could also do with a clean in the boothes. They are stained and soiled, and it's a little off-putting.

Love it for a drink and good food. The new manager is useless 😒 he doesn't come out from behind the bar and isn't at all friendly. Whenever there's any trouble he still stays behind the bar, what more can I say.

We spent a couple of hours having nice drinks and chatting on the first floor mezzanine, people watching is a very underrated pastime but we love it. First time here for day drinking but will definitely be back , great day spent in a nice location.

Downstairs coffee machine has been broken since at least December last year meaning to get a drink you have to keep going upstairs. Not a problem for most but I had to carry 3 full cups down with no free hand to hold the rail as they wouldn't fetch my disabled grandparents drinks for them as they were with me. Poor service and with the money they make surely this machine shouldn't still be out of order after 3 months

Im 80 years old and have to walk up stairs for the coffee machine as the one down stairs hasn't worked for months.

They still avnt sorted out the coffee machine downstairs. It's been out of order since NOVEMBER. It's a nightmare carrying drinks down those stairs.

Went today to order food and coffee. Was told that the only coffee machine working was upstairs. As I was using crutches following a recent operation I could not use the stairs so I explained this at bar but the response I got was 'can you get someone to fetch it for you '. No offer was made to get it for me. So I politely said just forget it and left. Terrible service.

Where to begin, we parked next door on the Asda, the restaurant isn’t a great place to enter we had to walk through 3 people smoking on the steps ! We found a seat and sat down. The menu is good they have great variety. We are 3 adults including a vegan a vegetarian and a fussy teenager. The ordering process was ok you went to the bar and the food came very quick. The food was hot and tasty. HOWEVER their was a negative and that was the customer service their was one member of staff( they wouldn’t share her name) who was horrendous, 15 minutes after ordering she approached our table and said “your card didn’t go through you’ve got to come and try again” no apology no manners just blunt and rude ! Next she came over and wanted to see my daughter’s ID for her drink, once again rude and intrusive. Once we had finished our meal we called the manageress over we explained what had gone on and she knew instantly who we were talking about, she said lots of people complain about her staffs attitude 😡😡😡😡😡 We left shortly after being told if we wanted to complain we could email head office !!

Came here mid week, for the price we couldn’t complain. Been a few times and tried a couple of different meals. All the old fossils giving this place a 1 star need a reality check. Where can you go these days and have a meal for two with drinks for under £25? No where. The app helps with not having to interact with staff, just want to come in, eat and leave. Good value for money, warm, comfortable and convenient.

It's a weatherspoons so you know the food is what it is. Cheap but passable. The pizza is not bad actually. I like this pub. Staff always friendly and helpful. Service is good. Clean and nice looking weatherspoons

We went in for breakfast after work. We have always had not a great experience with the breakfasts as they are nearly always cold or luke warm. Today we order a breakfast and smashed Avocado muffin with a side of poached egg. Needless to say they came out again and not great at all. The breakfast was warm if you ate it as quick as you could. My muffin was cold as well was the egg. Both served on cold plates. A member of staff didn't come out to ask if everything was ok like they normally do. We gave our feedback at the end when the plates were collected. I expect plates to be at least slightly warm but these were cold yet again. Sadly another bad experience of a breakfast. We thought we would give them a try to see if it had got better but sadly no. Also my smashed Avocado muffin was not in the least attractive to the eye.

Came here 5 months ago the food was terrible I said never again but we whent today 5.30. Had to ask for my drinks (ordered them on my phone) with food. I had fish and chips was meant to come with peas no peas. Fish was warm in the middle tail end cold. Chips were just warm. Not worth the money. Got asked if my food was ok before i even tryed it. Sons burger looked like it was thro together chips again warm. No worth the money at all. We definitely won't be going back. I carnt even rate this place. You surpose to enjoy your meal.

I hope the great people of bloxwich treat this disgraceful imbecile with distaste he deserves!
