It’s a Wetherspoons, it does what it says on the tin, the staff were friendly quick and listen to us when we asked for things, prices were awesome and food was very good.

Steak and kidney pudding. Great

Proper Spoons Pub, exactly what you would expect, staff spot on, + switched on too, taking to make sure no one was waiting unduly. 🤗🙏🎄

Nice place to hangout especially on weekends

It's a Spoon's, but it's not one of the best. My meal was ok, but I tried a couple of beers and couldn't find one I liked. Toilets were quite disappointing.

Great beer, great food upstairs it's usually less busy

Speed of service was very fast, especially as we ordered food and it was served up quite quickly, it was a busy lunchtime too! Only gave 4 stars for service and atmosphere as was served a glass of red wine from the draft tap, it was fizzy! So had to go back to the bar for a replacement, and I feel bad for complaining.

Wetherspoons are cheap places to eat. The food was hot, presented nicely and was nice. The pub was busy but turnround was quick and tables cleared quickly. The only negative i have is the ladies toilets weren't very clean. No toilet paper in some, one was blocked, one wouldn't flush and was leaking. They could be better maintained for the amount of people using them. My husband said the mens were also in similar condition.

the tall man that wears a tie and a half zip is incredibly rude. Ordered some drinks upstairs at 22:48 and waited 20 minutes without receiving them. My friend went to the bar and immediately was made her drinks, so I did the same and explained I never received mine. He told me they turned the app off which I understood however still took my order and charged me so I explained this and he told me “I’m telling you to go downstairs” where they immediately got my drink for me. Rude behaviour if you don’t want to serve customers then leave.

Food is always good here, coffee too. It is clean, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great.

Appalling barstaff, they have no concept of who is next to be served, and they don't care when it is pointed out to them either. Cheap drinks are fine. Poor service is unacceptable.

Don’t seem to support women. Women where quietly protesting and where chatting happily as I was there. until someone threw tomato ketchup over them and the manager was taking their side. Now tell me how they were the aggressors in this and not causing any issues but throwing a can of tomato soup isn’t causing a problem. Disgusting behaviour from manager and the aggressive male. Police also tried calling. Them aggressors even tho the women where assaulted

Nice bar and good prices as always in Spoons, but something really weird happened while we were in there. A man assaulted a table of women, we watched it happen, then the next minute some floppy haired (it’s not the 90’s anymore mate, keep up) mormon-bearded kid chucked the ladies out of the pub. He was actually quite aggressive with them. Never trust a man who picks on women. Apart from that it’s a decent pub to be fair.

I had a really good experience at this wetherspoons !! I was served by an amazing server called kritika and she really made my night!! She is a lovely server.

It's a standard spoons with the atmosphere established by the smell of a hideous carpet soaked for years with a large number of various spilled drinks. Drinks are pretty cheap which is good, but wouldn't want to spend a long time here.

Great place for midweek meeting with friends

Can be a bit loud at times! But nicer earlier in the day. Kids should only be accepted anywhere with responsible adults up to tea time anywhere! I think people should only be allowed in with a responsible dog rather than kids and I'm a parent!!!

The service was quite quick, especially for a busy weekend. Limited outdoor seating and a little cramped upstairs.

We all know the reputation of this brand… and here it is totally not present… best range of beers and for the first time in my life, the table was cleared and cleaned in about 15 seconds… and it was really busy… well impressed… great work team, keep up the great standards

Good to drink an Ale: prices are really very reasonable, we could only dream of this in the Netherlands. On weekdays, very affordable. The afternoon deal, although somewhat disappointing. I'm no expert: but that Steak & Kidney Pie was very small, probably far from fresh and simply produced in a factory for Wetherspoon. It was also a shame that the Fish and Chips were not available, because that would have been my preference. Still, I think the Wetherspoon are nice pubs in general, because of the relatively low prices. And also somewhat family friendly. However, the drink is much better than the food. That may be said, because even a pub classic such as the Steak & Kidney Pie was disappointing.

Popped in for a bite to eat ,we sat at table 25 before rob lamberti concert, with my friend, and was served our food by James, what a lovely friendly, happy guy he is , made sure we we happy and had everything we needed, and he never stopped while we were there . Thankyou James you were brill x

Modern and great, the best Wetherspoon I've visited to date.

I rather liked the Benjamin Huntsman when I visited on a recent trip to Sheffield. Located at the top of Cambridge St, it is only round the corner from another Wetherspoons, the Water Works. Benjamin Huntsman was notable for this steel producing town as he invented crucible or cast steel & he opened a plant in Sheffield around 1740. The building is rather interesting inside with itsl industrial elements & overly large pipework. Two coffee machines on the lower floor along with an accesible toilet located to the rear. Other toilets are on the second floor up a staircase - note at the time of visiting, the ladies toilets only flushed if you press both buttons at the same time. Some cubicles gave this instruction but not all, so just bear this in mind if paying a 'visit'!

A meeting place for the Blackpool belles, always have our table and really enjoy it.

Nice big place. Good atmosphere. We were taken there by locals, as they highly recommended it as one of the best places to go out in Sheffield, we were not disappointed.

very rude staff. mistreat my friend very badly with poor manners, unprofessional behaviour against a child/late teen. would not recommend as my friend was made very uncomfortable when eating her meal. avoid this place.

The only thing I don't like about this Spoons is the ugly big extraction tubes on the ceiling. It's been made to look like a feature,.but it's ugly and awful looking

The Waterworks across the road was packed and people were fighting outside so we came here instead. Much quieter and calmer. Food was what you'd expect. Staff were decent. Typical spoons

One member of bar staff (male) was so unhelpful and rude, laughing with other customer about a customer. Absolutely disgraceful.

Typical Wetherspoons... Very busy, very open plan, which makes for a noisy and slightly chaotic space. We found a table in a corner at the back, but its still somewhere you might be happier on a pub crawl than for a laid back meal. Prices are very reasonable, but maybe plan a rest room visit somewhere else first as Wetherspoons restrooms are always up a load of stairs and no where convenient. They're certainly not the dirtiest pub toilets, but as it's always busy, they do get messy.

The food was great, staff were very friendly and attentive, the pub was very busy and loud, one of the toilets in the gents was blocked and overflowing so the floor was wet in front of the cubicles

Always the best experience. The staff are always attentive, cleanliness is always maintained and orders are processed rapidly - even if they're extremely busy. Management here seems to be doing an excellent job, my fav weatherspoons for sure.

Saturday afternoon and Sheffield is the destination. The Benjamin Huntsman opens his arms and welcomes us in. He than does his best to spit us out in only the way a Wetherspoons pub can. Bear and a burger and curry and a drink is duly ordered. It is then seemingly warmed up in a microwave on what I can only assume to be the defrost setting. And that's just the drinks. It was average at best, but for the price you shouldn't expect much more particularly on a bust Saturday afternoon.
