Came here for a bottomless brunch to celebrate a birthday. The servers were lovely, Rachel was great. However the food was really terrible quality, it was cold and hard to eat, we were so hungry after waiting so long also. After having an extra hour on the brunch added on for the inconvenience, we left stone cold sober. We had loads to drink so I can only assume there was little to no alcohol in the drinks. For £45 this was the worst brunch we’ve been to.

We went here for my work hen do, arranged by my colleagues. The atmosphere was perfect and they allowed them to put extra decorations on the table and brought out the cake for us. They were attentive enough and patient with us when things were a bit chaotic but also left us to have a good time. Thank you to all the staff :) xx

Went on a Monday night for craft night, really enjoyed it. Food a bit over salted for me. Nice place.

The whole team at this restaurant is a joke , there operations director Joel who was dealing with my complaint originally never called back. When I met him and explain him he was rushing he gave me the wrong email address for him. I had to call few times still not been able to speak to him. The staff was very rude on the phone including there reservation manager Lewis , as he supposed to do the refund he has not still send me the proof or receipt of refund . He was very rude to the point he hung up the phone on my face . I had to send them the transaction details on the email, they failed to explain how they are going to safe guard my personal bank account details which is on there data base Now under the government Data Protection Act, Lewis took my card details over the phone with out explaining what exactly he’s doing and how it’s going to safe guard. Still no proof of refund and the receipt . No call from there operation directions Joel , as he is the person in charge for the restaurant. The whole experience was worse then a fish market experience, no basic customer service manners from staff to higher management . As If they are not bothered at all.

Went here as a part of a hen party, the entertainment was AMAZING and our server was so kind. The only downside is that the food was extremely lacklustre. It is very much an influencer inspired place and i would not go to eat here on the regular. The decor was incredible and the food was really the only let down. it seemed to be themed but just missed when it came to taste and texture.

secuirty need training in manners i am Absolutely disgusted in the attitude of the security .. we decided not to even enter the venue after being treated like dirt of your door staff ... I wouldnt spend a penny in there .. I have run elite bars and clubs myself in the past and know how this works and security like that would be sacked in an instant... security like that really are giving a bad name to your venue I wouldn't recommend any of my friends to this venue . I really would look into this as it's a big shame .

A lively atmosphere with a great ambiance. A wide selection of good cocktails and a wide range of tasty dishes. If you’re after a lively night with an electric atmosphere then this a good shout for you.

Came here for a hen party recently, we were a table of 11 who had all pre ordered in advance and booked way ahead of time. Despite this we were waiting over an hour from the time of booking to receive any food. The booking was at 8.30 and it was 10.15 by the time we got our main courses. The delay was so much so we had to skip dessert as we had a booking elsewhere I had already pushed back twice. Staff were friendly atmosphere good and food nice when it eventually came but the wait time was ridiculous to say they knew exactly what food we wanted weeks prior.

Came here for my birthday,we were a party of six! everything was amazing! Staff were very friendly and attentive! atmosphere was great! food didnt take long at all and was outstanding! We will definitely be returning!

We went for 12:30pm for drinks as we were in Manchester so it was not busy at all. 1 bottomless brunch and another table of 2. The hostess was friendly but the waitress didn’t say much at all. She gave us our drinks and when we asked the bill, she literally came over and threw it down onto the table. Just so rude. The place was filthy! We were sat by the white curtain which was so dirty. The orchid plant behind us was mouldy, there were marks on the walls and the toilets were so dirty too. Would not recommend. Definitely not worth the expensive drink prices and the “hype” seen on Instagram.

Recently visited the so called restaurant to celebrate the up coming wedding of niece ..the service was so slow nobody wanted to eat by the time it came table was booked for 08.30 and it arrived 09.30 the main meal was requested 3 times and arrived 10.30 ...people started to leave before dessert as it was beyond a joke ..considering all orders had to be submitted in advance there is no excuse for this level of service ....avoid this establishment for any sort of celebration ..unless you want to spoil your whole night

Came here for my 20th birthday, absolutely loved it! There was 11 of us and they all fit us in a booth. We had afternoon tea which was lovely, the cakes were sweet but not too sweet which is to my liking. The afternoon tea included mini sweet cakes which came on a ferris wheel and it was moveable which was really cool to see, it was positively different. However, we were so full from eating so the waitresses allowed us to take the remaining food home. The service was amazing, the team worked together whilst delivering a friendly service. They gave my auntie and I a little brownie cake, with cream and a little candy floss with sparkling candle (1st image), which they did not charge us for as it was a birthday special. This was very much appreciated of them. There are also Instagramable scenery within the restaurant (3rd image), this scenery had a ring light and others. The toilets were also clean nice to take mirror selfies in as there were quotes from celebrities on them.

I went with two friends to the bottomless brunch on a Friday afternoon. There was a lighthearted atmosphere and you could have two breakfast plates as part of the deal. I had the vegan breakfast and smashed avocado, it was lovely! The drinks were from a selection of cocktails but I chose to have Prosecco. £45 a head is not the cheapest but I felt as though we had value for money. Will definitely go back.

Not worth the price - also considering is one of the more expensive brunches at £45 per person plus a 12% service charge - this was average! Had 6 drinks on the brunch which had minimal alcohol as wasn't even a little bit drunk. Food was ok and probably the best part. Service wasn't the best as was waiting 20 mins at the start to be served and then another 15 min waiting for the bill after asking for it.

Always good service. Been a few times for bottomless brunch and never disappoints :)

Incredible venue and music and food!

Exceptional service and food. We had the vegetarian express lunch and bottomless brunch . The vibe was exceptional, service was welcoming and couldn’t do enough . The food was beautifully displayed and tasted amazing, very high quality . The bottomless flowed. It was a bit strange to find but it’s next to Salford train station and by the old mark addy pub.

First time I came here, my chicken was rock hard, couldn't eat it. Then this evening (13/04/2024), the chicken was ½ done, soft with traces of red (blood). When I brought this up to the manager tonight, I was met by the most arrogant person of all time with zero people skills. He was arguing with me saying the chicken is well done and what I was seeing, was in fact a vein. A cooked vein is brown Einstein, not the red I showed you. If you're just a manager and not the owner of the owner of the establishment, you'll run down the good business with your stinking attitude. I am just one person that's raised this, but sooner or later your attitude will catch up with you. I was making you aware so that you could improve for next time, not because I needed a refund or discount. If it's the last thing I do, I'll ensure I locate the person you report to, or the owner of this beautiful place and make him aware that you're a very arrogant person, that refuses to listen to a complaint, but rather do his best to challenge a customer that did his best to bring it up to your attention, only for you to fob him off and embarrass me in front of colleagues and relatives. Your colleague was so apologetic about your behaviour, maybe it's him that should be manager, and you get sacked for mistreating the very person that contributes to your wages. One day you'll do that to an influencer and that will be the end of your restaurant.Not worth paying over £100 if you are going to be served by that arrogant excuse of a manager that declines to give his name. Workers that hide or decline to give customers their name do so to evade complaints, unaware that nowadays there's the internet where one can Google restaurants' details that they declined to provide.

Don’t really understand the big thing about this place. Yes it had a small section of the restaurant to take pictures in a set up, which is different to most bars/restaurants. But other than that, we waited ages to be served, toilets were dirty and was overpriced. Wouldn’t go again.

Lovely place and great atmosphere. Didn't get the best customer service. We booked a table for 10pm. However, the table wasn't ready until about 1045. They did give us free prosecco for waiting by the attitude of the greeter was unfriendly.

Came for a hen do. Supposed to be seated at 8:30, didn’t get sat down till an hour later. Food came near 11pm with deserts being served close to midnight. A few people refused to pay and I wish I had done the same!! Drinks prices extortionate too..

We went to menagerie for my friends 21st as we’d heard amazing things about the restaurant but we had a bad experience! It took us about half a hour after we’d been seated ( we had to wait 20 minutes stood up at the bar because our booked table wasn’t ready when we arrived on time) to get a waiter over so we could order. The entertainment during the meal was great but then we got charged for the entertainment at the end of the bill which wasn’t previously discussed!! the service was shocking for such a “ highly rated” restraint and bar. Definitely wouldn’t go again

We attended this establishment on the 10th march for mothers, which just so happened to fall on a Sunday. Upon arrival to the table their was rabid kids scurrying around the catwalk which was putting myself and others on edge as it was a clear health and safety hazard and not something you want when you are paying top dollar for a meal with your family. Anxiety turned to horror when we were informed by the staff their were no beers on draught nor any Sunday roast left over as we was only eating at 5pm on a Sunday I found this absolutely ludacris. The only saving grace for this for me was that the toilets smelled so flamboyant I could hardly keep myself out of there. Chances are they will not see me in their again

Super lit - went on a Saturday night, the music was good and the shows on the runway were great!! The cocktails are superb, would recommend for a girly night or a hen do👍🏾

Beautifully decorated bar/restaurant. The decor is so instagrammable. The staff are so friendly. We only had cocktails but they were delicious. Will definitely return.

I had to opportunity to grace this amazing restaurant and bar with my friends. And the experience was incredible. If you are a picture lover like me, then there is a well decorated space for you. I took really nice pictures, check them out! The food was also nice, although some of the food options wasn’t really my favorites but I still found my tribe. So if you are looking for a a place to have a casual dinner night with friends or a venue for birthday party/ bridal showers, then you’ve got the right place.

As a last minute idea and without a reservation, we were given one the best seats in house, despite it also being valentine's weekend. A ornately decorated bird cage with flowers and romantic lighting. The food and service was as perfect as could be as well as the entertainment and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Ménagerie.

Plenty of racism. The reservations manager was clearly discriminatory towards us, we sent an email of complaint, never got a response. Disgusting establishment.

Really not worth the hype. Not great service- very slow, had to ask to order more drinks. Food hit and miss, some of it not worth finishing. Overpriced for what you get. Not a good booking system. Nicely decorated, much more of an aesthetic restaurant rather than food or service quality.

Great place to celebrate my birthday! Music was on point, atmosphere banging, entertainment interesting, service friendly and professional. Highly recommend for a place to celebrate rather than a weekly thing purely based on cost.

We had initially booked a bar next door to Menagerie well in advance for our friends hen party. Unfortunately the bar turned us away when we mentioned the brides allergy. We went into menagerie desperate to still give our hen a good time, explained our situation and asked if they could squeeze us in on their busy Saturday. The service we received was brilliant. From initially saying they might only be able to seat us at the bar, the staff went above and beyond and sat us in the gorgeous birdhouse. The manager came out and talked through the brides allergy with her, fully explaining their cooking process and making sure she’d be ok. Our waiter also gave us excellent service, making sure our drinks were always topped up! The atmosphere in menagerie was perfect for our hen with plenty of party vibes! Again we can’t thank you enough for saving the day and making sure our bride still got the hen do she deserved! 5* service and would recommend!

Came for a hen-do, booked private dining area and was taken up to the seats to find another party there. The management did nothing to accommodate us, with us ending up split across two tables, they didn't bring all the drinks we paid for, and food was incredibly salty. Don't bother if you're considering booking, the management won't do anything to rectify their wrongs. If the place wasn't so pretentious, it wouldn't still be here (says everything about Manchester, sadly)

The decor inside is very pretty, The "live entertainment ' is really poor! The food looked pleasing but is very bland. The place is clean, helpful and friendly staff. I have to give top marks for the 2 bouncers! They are perfect gentlemen. Mitch went above and beyond to make sure I got in a taxi safely, I really appreciate and respect that. Thank you !

Where do I start? I Celebrated my 24th birthday dinner party at their private dinning upstairs and it couldn’t have gone any better. I received full support when securing the reservations and any questions I had were answered clearly and professionally. The decorations company that they are in business with (Pretty Parcels) did a beautiful job with decorating upstairs exactly how I requested. The food was was lovely from the starters to desserts. The music and DJ that Sunday evening was on fire and had everyone dancing at the table. Last but not least, the waitress and waiter assigned to my table that evening provided nothing but friendly, exceptional service. So thanks Menagerie🔥

It was my first visit to menagerie and what an amazing time we had! I went with a group of my girlfriends for my 24th birthday on Wednesday the 10th, and what a lovely experience! Pav paid full attention to our group and made sure everyone was happy. The cocktails by the bartender on shift were fabulous I wish we could’ve had more! Hats off to the both of them!! And thank you for making my night so special ❤️

Absolutely fantastic restaurant food is amazing. The staff go out of their way to help you clean amazing fantastic entertainment millions of drinks to choose from. They know all the cocktails highly recommended restaurant for drinks food or just an afternoon tea

We had a lovely evening in all, however we were a little disappointed in the fact there was no show, despite being advertised on the website and socials - and the bill reflected a show. Food was good, although mine was cold in the middle of my starter. One thing that really disappointed me was the foul language of one of the door staff outside talking to the others about his “private” time with his girlfriend. It really didn’t match the scene that Menagerie were trying to deliver.

Food was really nice quick service entertainment very good but the toilets was a disgrace no loo roll and soiled sanitary towel stuck to my foot when I went to the loo . Unacceptable bins was over flowing . Put me off from ever going again .

Came here for drinks and LOVED the atmosphere, good beer options and great cocktails will be back when I made an inevitable return to Manchester

Staff needs some basic training in customer service. Do yourself a favour and take your money elsewhere.

Appalling service, waiting time for food and drinks is shocking. Food was very basic, flavourless and cold. My 10 year old making better breakfast. Decor is fantastic, that is the only plus.

Pricey for us but the lunch menu was great value for money. Service and food were lovely, quick lunch portion sizes. Decorated beautifully to a high standard, however felt very still - not much atmosphere.

One of my favourite restaurants in Manchester, I come as often as I can, staff are always so attentive, food is amazing, and the entertainment on a Friday and Saturday evening makes the experience one you won’t forget. On weekend evenings they do play loud music whilst you eat around the entertainment, so if that isn’t your thing then probs not a venue for you, personally I think it makes it better! Throughly recommend for a great night of drinks food and entertainment ! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Nice atmosphere. Wasn't a fan of the food. Also I had asked for a birthday cake with a candle on and everyone else was getting theirs but we never got ours that I had requested in the notes on the booking so had to show the waiter which was not good!

This is my third visit on a Sunday in the last 6 weeks and that’s due to the yummy food! My family and I have ordered the lamb roast and the chicken Caesar salad each time and the taste has been fantastic. My only complaint is that the portions seem to have reduced on each visit. The first couple of times we ordered the salad, it was a generous portion that was enough to fill me up and I absolutely loved it. Today, it was more like a side salad and if I moved a leaf, I could see the bottom of the bowl which was disappointing. Unfortunately enough, it was a day three people in our party had ordered it. We did complain about the portion size and the manager brought one more salad to supplement it thankfully. We have noticed the same with the gravy amount reducing on our Sunday roast with each visit. We end up ordering additional gravy which ends up being charged on the bill which is again disappointing as the first time we ordered it, there was a generous amount of gravy. Nonetheless the service was absolutely incredible today! The server Safire went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied! She also independently noticed it was my mums birthday and brought out a mini cake and sparklers that added to the festive feel of the day. Lots of good spots to take pictures in the restaurant and the music was great. Overall fabulous service & I would visit again but would love more consistent and generous portions with the food.

The venue is great but the food for the tipsy afternoon tea was awful. I guess you're paying more for the tipsy than the tea and the drinks were good but I was very disappointed in the food. Great atmosphere though. The staff seemed a little off but I guess I would be too serving a group of women on bottomless prosecco.

Went here on a Monday afternoon for a bottomless brunch, understand this is a quiet day but we were literally the only two in there. Can’t fault the staff they were attentive and on the ball filling drinks etc. would be worried if they weren’t though considering there was no one else in there! Food was really not great, pancakes dry, banana waffle barely a waffle (pictured) was so crispy and the bacon on pancakes was burnt. Told the waiter we weren’t happy and he couldn’t see anything wrong, but he returned them to the kitchen and then got us some of the French toast which was better but still not amazing. £40 is not the cheapest bottomless around and for the food it was not worth it. Luckily got our moneys worth in drinks but would not return.

I came here for my hen party for bottomless brunch there were 16 of us. So the reason I only gave 3 star for atmosphere is because they put us up on stairs on a balcony type of thing and the atmosphere look like it was mainly down stairs. The food were food but everyone was still really hungry after so eat before you go. The cocktails were nice and not strong, mocktails were really good as well. The place itself is really nice

My best mate and I went to menagerie on a Monday evening, understandably going to be a bit quieter but that’s an understatement, it was us and one other couple and half the restaurant was closed off. It wasn’t until it came to ordering our food that the gentleman who was serving us informed us that half of the dishes we had chosen weren’t available due to them having no stock and there supplies order hadn’t arrived that day. Not only this he didn’t understand their own drink menu and tried multiple times to order the wrong drink for us. When the food came we realised we hadn’t been given forks and the little plates which are meant to be for sharing were small portions and you only got 3 little things on each - however the food itself was delicious!! Considering we were the only people in there other than one other couple they didn’t check with us our food was okay or ask if we’d like another drink until they had cleared the plates away and by this point we were ready for the bill. The restaurant itself is designed really nicely, good music, lots of cool and funky places for photos and I’m sure on a Saturday there would be a lot better atmosphere but after being all excited to go here due to a recommendation we were really disappointed.

The customer service is so amazing! They pay attention to your needs & well being by asking for any existing allergies beforehand. They are very friendly & the atmosphere is amazing & picture friendly! I enjoyed the entertainment as well! I’d definitely go there again!!

My friend and I came here for our joint birthday celebration and couldn’t fault a thing! Everything from the food, to the music playing and atmosphere was fantastic. We have to praise the young lady who looked after us, Safire I think, for being so kind and attentive to us, as well as the gentleman who brought us both a lovely birthday dessert. If you’re ever visiting Manchester, give this place a try! We will definitely be back!⭐️

We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and what a disappointment it was the place was empty and still took them 10 min to come over and ask if we would like a drink When the food came the chicken was so dry and overcooked I couldn’t eat it the salad was just laced with salt my wife had sea bass which was bland and again the salad was covered in salt for the price of the food I would expect it to be cook to a higher standard can’t see me going here every again

Went to Menagerie as part of a hen party - 17 of us in total. We had all paid a deposit of £15 towards a set menu of £45 - we assumed our final bill would be £30 per head. I thought £45 was steep bearing in mind that the starters and desserts were 'sharing platters', but it's a hen do so you just go with the the flow. Initial impressions were good - table dressed nicely etc. I really didn't rate the platters, but that's probably because the offerings weren't to my taste. However, the rib eye steak main was fatty and chips over seasoned. That said, my grievance was that on top of the bill we were charged £50 for entertainment (we were lead to believe that was included in the price) and then an extortionate service charge was also added - total bill would have been £56 per head - instead of the £45 we were expecting. Bless our lovely bride to be who had the hassle of trying to sort this out when it was supposed to be a joyous occasion. The lady looking after us reduced the bill with very little quibble. To me, it felt like because we were a large party we would just divvy up the bill with no questions asked (hmm did they think they saw us coming) - we're from Yorkshire so that was never going to happen! Ambience was nice, drink prices ludicrous and food mediocre at best. Entertainment was OK but sparse - turn the music down between 'acts' so you can actually have a conversation with someone. Toilets not well serviced - no loo roll in any toilet on 2 occasions that i visited. Fair to say, I won't be rushing back or recommending anytime soon!

I and 20 friends went to this place to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Awful service and no positive feedback from management. There are so many others thematic restaurant in Manchester so much better than this place. AVOID IT!

Amazing evening at mengarie last night. Such a fun venue with great entertainment. My sister is gluten free and the gentleman serving us (think it was the manager?) was brilliant, he knew exactly what he was talking about explained what was gluten free on the menu and made her feel completely at ease. This was so nice as often when eating out staff don’t understand it and my sister can be made to feel really different and singled out. Food and drinks were good, staff were super friendly, music was great and we loved all of the thought that has gone into the venue, ring lights etc! Would definitely come back! Thank you!

This restaurant is very Instagram able full of people queuing to take photos next to the bath haha. Food, music and staff were all really good. Couldn't fault it. Was nice to have dancers and a bit of a show with dinner. Choice of music in there was great.

Honestly my fave place, great food, great atmosphere, entertainment and service. Love every single starter - my friends call it my second home 😂 I’ve tried to provide as many food pics as possible, can’t say a single bad word 😊 *EDIT* - slightly disappointed when I recently went to eat there - the food portions have gotten a lot smaller, the food still tastes decent but not as great as it used to be. Can’t fault the service though, they’re all so friendly and helpful.

My husband and I loved this place, the whole vibe was perfect. The music was great, the entertainment was so much fun, the service was fantastic and we enjoyed the food and drinks. 4* only because the toilets were not the same standard as the restaurant, they were really dirty.

We had a nice time here, I know what people are saying regarding it being overrated and pricey, I do agree as the prawn toast was very basic for £9.50! The sushi & seabass were very nice, drinks reasonable for doubles (still cheaper than London) . The atmosphere is good and the decor is lovely. They did initially give us the bill without taking off the deposit which seems to be a common issue, however they did sort it for us and reprinted. Good restaurant rather than excellent, although would not rush back there were some enjoyable elements!
