location molto bella, pulita e accogliente a fianco dell hotel marriott. noi eravamo vicini e in un altro hotel. siamo arrivati quel giorno e per la prima cena ci sembrava vicino e accogliente. menu non troppo ampio ma ci sono i piatti principali inglesi e trovati bene. staff molto professionale e accogliente.

We visited this restaurant recently and our experience was mixed. The service was extremely slow: we had to wait 45 minutes to receive our cocktails, which arrived after the meal. We also had to ask several times before getting what we wanted, such as mayonnaise. The bartender took his break just when we arrived and did not shorten it to guarantee a good service. In addition, the servers seemed to have difficulty understanding our requests. What is surprising is that there were not many customers, so there was no reason for the service to be so slow. Despite everything, the food was correct, as well as the water and the ton of ice cubes, but the whole service could really be improved.

We were there to meet up with family from Canada who were passing through and booked purely because it was convenient for their hotel. What a big mistake! We reserved the table for 6 some weeks ago but they did not appear to be expecting us. The service was very slow - over an hour from ordering to serving. The food was very poor. I mean how hard is it to make a couple of sandwiches? Two of us had a cooked chicken dish but the chicken was very poor quality and the broccoli was almost raw. The sauce was OK - but only just! The fish and chips were very poor. Fish almost inedible - chips OK but surely no one can spoil chips even this useless chef!

By its namesake we were expecting steaks etc on the menu. There were even signs in the restaurant talking about steaks! Not one to be seen on the very poor menu. After a long journey we were hungry and chose 3 starters including the crudités with hummus. 3 very small carrot sticks and 3 cucumber sticks with a swimming pool of hummus- seriously? Vegetables are cheap and less than half a carrot is just ridiculous. I then chose the caesur salad which was just a plate of lettuce with a drip of dressing and 2 croutons- that was literally it! No parmagan cheese / other salad additions or anything. Very disappointing on what was supposed to be a fabulous trip to London to see Chelsea flower show.

Grabbed lunch here whilst staying at the hotel. We ordered the chicken Caesar salad which took a very long time to arrive and was poorly executed (the chicken was over cooked on the chargrill which made it tough and gave it an unpleasant bitter taste).

We very rarely have dinner at the hotels that we are staying in, but it was a long day and it was raining, so we thought we would give it a shot. The first thing you need to know, the service here is EXTREMELY slow. We had to approach the servers at the bar three times just to ask for basics, like a menu, ordering, and the check. They are friendly enough, but Marriott shouldn't be hiring people without serving experience. The food, surprisingly, was actually quite good, which is a bummer because of the service situation. I had a burger that was perfectly cooked, medium rare. So, they have good food, but they really need to shore up their service situation because it's killing their business. And it's a super cozy bar, nice big TV if you want to watch a game, so people would hang out here more if the service was better. My tip to Marriott, hire some of the guys working the morning shift to do the bar shift, they are on top of it. It's a cool space, but it could be better with a little tweaking.

Absolutely dire, awful service waiting over an hour for food. When it arrived one steak that was requested to medium was severely overcooked and the burgers were greasy and mediocre at best. Everything was bland and under seasoned. Very very poor service. None of the staff knew what they were doing. Company prepaid for the meal and checking out was a disaster when it came to paying the bill. So disorganized and unprofessional. The worst dining experience I've ever had. Truly shameful

45 minutes before any food arrived - even appetizers. Advertised as "British" food but the menu was small and anything but British. Service slow even though there were few other customers.

Was empty when I got there, and it was still not straightforward to get service. The menu I was given had a burger for £22 instead of the £14 it shows on opentable. That’s a 51.7% surprise price hike. I had chosen this place over others for its reasonable enough prices. And every single other item on the menu was too highly priced for an empty restaurant in Earl’s Court. All the prices were much higher (30%-52% higher) than the menu on OpenTable says. This felt like a scam, and I was frustrated enough to get up and walk out.

Lack of atmosphere. Menu on website was very out of date. Was told it hadn’t been updated. £14.50 for a burger on their menu on website, When we got there it was £22. When I asked for it to be cooked medium I was told it came well done, I then asked if it was a frozen burger and I was told yes. How can you charge £22 for a frozen burger. At that point we got up and walked out..!!

Walked into an empty restaurant with no staff on hand to receive us. Went to the bar to advise we had a table reserved to be told ok take a seat. Sat there for 5/10 minutes before we went back to bar to order drinks. Then told sorry can only serve water as waiting for bar tender to arrive. Eventually the drinks order came but they didn’t have any Sauvignon blanc as requested and forgot one of the cokes. After this was resolved the food service was much better than our initial experience. Food was wonderful. Shame about the beginning.

I had the chicken curry with naan and my husband had fish n chips. We both liked our dishes OK. Service was super slow so I wouldn’t eat here if your in a hurry or anything.It was convenient though for us.We must have walked 15 miles and we were super tired.Very handy the hotel has a restaurant.

We walked in for a Sunday brunch, which was absolutely delicious. The waiter (Delver) was very polite and explained the brunch menu in detail although it was super busy. Chef Sanjay personally came to our table and recommended few dishes from the brunch menu which was super delicious, especially eggs royale and the sea food linguine. Great service, will surely visit again.

Ristorante situato nel Mariott hotel e per questo con la cucina aperta un po' più a lungo degli altri locali della zona. Accogliente e contemporaneo. Propone un menù a base di comfort food. Buono il servizio ma peccato per la limitata scelta di proposte senza glutine (in linea con gli standard UK ahimè!).

The place is very relaxed and trendy. The staff has been really nice and careful to make us feel well. and the dishes we tried (crispy squid and ribeye) were delicious. The lemon dessert (kind of cheesecake) was also very good.

Thought it would be a bog-standard, meat heavy, hotel restaurant. I was badly wrong. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and I didn’t have to eat a single piece of meat (I’m not vegetarian but I like to eat less meat). I particularly liked the Rigatoni dish. The flavour and included vegetables were splendid. The various salad dishes were superb, with plenty of tomato which is my favourite ingredient. Altogether an excellent place to dine.

Very god food and a nice atmosphere. The service was a bit slow, but good and considerate when needed. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a good steak.

We booked using open table as we wanted some where close by. However when we got there the restaurant was totally empty and it was a bit unnerving for a Saturday night. However it was nice surroundings and the staff were great and the food good. We thought a little pricey for what we had.

Chelsea Flower Show week and we are staying just around the corner and amongst us are serious meat eaters and a gluten avoider, so Cast Iron was a selected favourite. Two of us arrive to do a recce and arrive at 8:55pm to a lovely ambiance with a relaxed atmosphere and casual dining feel, staff were friendly faced and smiley giving us a very warm welcome. We were presented with a beautiful and thoughtful menu, appealing to a variety of dietary requirements and a wide range to please everyone within an affordable price range. The wine list was varied with excellence and clearly a lot of thought had gone into selecting wines to accompany the variety of dishes available on the menu - with recommendations which were a delightful extra touch. Sadly, it kind of stopped there with an abrupt halt! It took us over 10 minutes to be offered drinks, so much so we had to ask twice! We eventually ordered and to start we had Brisket in a Yorkshire and a small Caesar Salad, followed by 2 Rumps, our drinks eventually arrived and we awaited our scrummy starters… 15 minutes pass and then another 15 minutes encouraging us to enquire about the delay, and we are assured they are on the way! We wait another long 15 minutes and again query to the whereabouts of our simple starters, by this point it’s obviously the staff are feeling awkward about the slow service and seemingly ‘refuse’ to return to our table, resulting in us being seen to by a selection of staff members. We are eventually presented with an excuse that there was some confusion with our order and instead of starters followed by mains, the order has gone through as ‘everything to be sent out together’ arrangement, however, to be quite frank I wouldn’t expect to wait that long for the entire order either!! After an hour our starters have finally arrived, the brisket Yorkshire full of scrumptious slow cooked beef with the Caesar, whilst being tasty, consisting almost entirely of iceberg stalk - disappointingly. Within moments of ‘finishing’ our plates are cleared and almost immediately our steaks arrive - surprisingly, beautifully cooked and presented. We had 20% taken off our bill which we were grateful for but overall a very slow service for a very quiet restaurant, the staff, whilst initially being very delightful, avoided us thereafter and one starter was below average. We would have visited 2, 3 maybe 4 times during the week but obviously didn’t return.

For a restaurant that calls itself a Grill their meat quality and cooking skills leave a lot to be desired. We ordered our ribeyes rare and when they came they were over cooked. Parts of the meat were medium and other parts well done. We both sent our steaks back and were told it would be another 15/20 mins before we could have ribeye as they have to go and cut more meat. We decided to go with sirloin as we were hungry and just wanted to eat. When the sirloins came the meat was tough, flavourless, gristly and once again over cooked. Neither steak was rare. At this point we were fed up of battling so ate it although I only managed 1/2 mine. We then had to battle to get money off the bill and the manager didn’t even come over but sent a young girl who was out of her depth which we felt was unfair. With the issues we had we would have expected both steak meals to be taken off the bill completely. We will not visit again.

Muy buen lugar en el hotel Marriott , personal muy amable y comida de buena calidad . El punto bajo es que la cocina se demora mucho , puedes llegar a esperar 40-50 minutos por un steak y una ensalada . Otro punto bajo es que son muy estructurados en la carta, no puedes cambiar absolutamente nada .

Family of five went to Cast Iron in Kensington for an early NYE celebration dinner after visiting the Natural History Museum. The staff were incredibly friendly, menu was excellent, quality of food even better and the girls loved their mocktails! Ambience typical for a hotel restaurant (although not complaining) and service at times was a little slow, but always friendly. Would definitely recommend and will go back.

The service was just ok. Food took a while to come out and there were only 2 tables dinning at the time we ordered. Did not feel warm and inviting but the food was flavorful.

We were the second table to be seated yet the service was poor. Waited ages for a waiter to see to us between courses. He seemed to face the kitchen constantly and forget to look around the customers. Our meal lasted over 2 hours for a main and dessert. Food was nice but the service was awful.

My husband and I had lunch at this lovely restaurant with a dear friend who works at the hotel. Our server, Goce, was wonderful. He was very attentive without being intrusive, and made sure everything went very smoothly. The food was lovely, we had the Crispy Squid and Chorizo, which was perfectly prepared, and a loaded Yorkshire Pudding that was very tasty. This is definitely a place we will return to, for the wonderful service and food.

Stayed at the Kensington recently and used Cast Iron twice - in the evening for drinks and in the morning for breakfast. Drinks: First observation was of the vastly reduced cocktail menu compared to our last visit in 2019 - only 3 cocktails on the list now. Service wasn't the quickest and drinks were just average - I expected more for the prices charged. Breakfast: Everything was great. The service team were warm and friendly, all food items were fresh, hot food was actually hot.

A great place to be. Steak was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was incredible. Chefs are professional and high skilled. Service was top class and the cocktails were superb! Will return soon. Highly recommended!

The service was poor. Waited for a menu for 5 minutes, starter and main course served at the same time. I was told that they serve starters and main courses at the same time unless requested otherwise. Very odd as burger was cold by the time I finished my starter. On the plus side, the waiters were pleasant and the food was very good.

Came here for breakfast whilst staying at the hotel. Decent range of hot and cold items. Scrambled eggs were a bit runny but the rest of the hot buffet was good enough. Service was ok and attentive enough.

Had dinner while staying one night. Walked a lot around Kensington Palace and the gardens. Decided to just eat at the hotel. It was good, nothing special.

We dined here on our vacation because the menu looked good for my husband's birthday while in London. The steaks were excellent but the service in a restaurant with hardly any diners in it was lacking. Asked if we wanted water I said "yes," not realizing I was paying for a large bottle of water, nor was that explained to me. My husband did not drink water and I could not finish the bottle. While I admit to first-time travelers to the UK, it was usually clear we were foreigners and elucidation would have been nice. We had to go ask for the bill, but frankly found this to be the case in several restaurants in London.

Empty on a Thursday night, for good reason. My husband said his fish and chips were good and my sweet potato fries were also good, but a brisket/Yorkshire appetizer was not edible and a chick pea burger was horribly dry. First time the delivery man came, he came with the wrong order. And then the next time he came about 30 mins later, the pizza was burnt and felt reheated. Very dissatisfied. Chicken strips were good though.

The food arrived 35 minutes late and it was cold. Apart from that the quality of the food seemed good and the delivery driver was friendly. I hope this was just a one off as this is my first time ordering. I will try them once more and see how it goes.

received a text stating delivery at 8:35, just arrived and food is freezing cold, 25 mins late. I also have a Brocken ankle and explained to him that I couldn’t meet him down stairs on the road as he wanted, he refused to come to the hotel reception until I told him to take the pizza away and I would get my money back from just eat. Delivery driver reluctantly brought my food up. very rude when he brought the pizza up to reception. The hotel receptionist was a witness.

Restaurante en el Marriott en Kensington. Tranquilo sin pretensiones pero la comida era una sorpresa! El almuerzo estuvo delicioso. Súper ensalada de grano que no hay que vencer. Agregó pollo a la parrilla rematado. El personal es muy servicial y amable. No lo he probado para la cena, pero considerará hacerlo.

First time I have ordered and I have to say the pizza was very tasty. The quarter pounder was nice too. Just one negative were the chips were not of good quality. overall would probably order again.

Tuvimos un almuerzo muy placentero en la zona del bar de Cast Iron Grill para ponernos al día con un amigo Nos saludaron calurosamente y teníamos una mesa junto a la ventana que daba al campo de golf. El servicio era educado y amable y la comida era buena. Después tuvimos un paseo por los hermosos jardines. El hotel y la ubicación es hermosa. No se puede comentar sobre las habitaciones ya que no nos quedamos.

All the topping of the pizza had moved off to the corner of the box so it must happened during the delivery. As a result we couldn’t eat the pizza and we were disappointed as we would rather have it o time and not earlier and all the toppings to be all over the place

Always a pleasure to order from this restaurant. Flavour is great and consistently delicious. Timing is perfect. Never late. What else would you ask for when you come back from a long day at work. Although, I would recommend changing the logo but not the food and the service 😁

Situado en el atrio de paredes de cristal del Marriott. Desayunamos aquí tres mañanas. Buena selección con excelente bar de tortillas. El personal es agradable. Bien vale la pena. La única precaución es que puede estar fresco durante la mañana fría de invierno. El personal sabe qué mesas son las más cálidas y se sentará allí a petición.

Cast Iron is hotel based restaurant. It is OK and offers a relatively limited choice of dishes (some set option are OK, though). IMHO, may not be a good choice for dining, unless you are a business traveler looking for "something" here and now. Breakfast is good but it comes with a GBP20 price tag.

Delivery driver updated app to say delivered but was in fact nearly 30 minutes late & food was cold. I phoned the restaurant twice & they said driver's on the way. When food was delivered I noticed it was cold, the kofta looked under-cooked & had no sauce on it, it had no taste. The rice had no sauce & was dry & tasteless. The salad was just lettuce, cucumber & red cabbage. It was a large portion but overall very dry, tasteless & undercooked. I didn't enjoy the meal & threw out at least half of it. Probably the worst kofta I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant 👎🤑🤮🤢

Op Boxing Day (Tweede Kerstdag) was er bijna niets open en per toeval kwam ik met de lunch Cast Iron tegen. Zeker met sommige smoezelige zaken die ik eerder ben tegengekomen op de weg ernaartoe, sprong Cast Iron er echt uit. Zowel van buiten als binnen. Heerlijke zaak met zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ruime, fijne zitplekken en mooi interieur. Het eten is betaalbaar en gevarieerd (broodje ong 5 pond, speciaalkoffie 'gingerbread latte' ong 3,5). Zou hier zeker terugkomen! Raad dit iedereen aan.

Not happy at all! If I could give a zero I would! I had to contact the restaurant who told me the police had blocked the road. The driver hit in touch, 15 minutes AFTER he said the good was delivered! As soon as I walked outside it was clear that there was traffic driving straight past the flat, the pedestrian crossing was closed but the rear road was fine. Instead of driving any closer I had to walk to his location and have ended up with freezing cold pizza!
