Westminster Kitchen Grill House in Lambeth

Aquí acabamos por casualidad en un día ventoso en Londres para guarecernos y comer y tengo que decir que nos arrepentimos. Y eso que la localización es inmejorable. Restaurante de clásicos londinenses pizza, hamburguesa, pasta,"fish and chips"... pero todo muy flojito, especialmente la pasta y que en nuestro caso tuvieron que cambiar por lo picante que estaba. El servicio fue amable en líneas generales a pesar de todo. No sé si hay que guardarse hueco para el postre; visto lo visto no nos atrevimos a pedir postre

Restaurante horrível, os garçons parecem que não gostam de trabalhar no local, são mal humorados, te ignoram. Parece que estamos fazendo um favor a eles. Não venham a este restaurante, maltratam os clientes .

Called in here on the off-chance while passing. No problem getting a table at 5.00pm (it was a Monday). Food was very good indeed. My fish and chips were far superior to what I was recently served at Gordon Ramsey’s River Restaurant at the Savoy Hotel. My wife’s meal was also excellent. However, I can’t go above 3 blobs for two reasons. Firstly, staff brought the wrong orders. I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. I was brought a glass of Sauvignon Blanc instead. However, to their credit, instead of taking this back when I pointed out the mistake, they said I could keep it, free of charge, whilst they fetched my original order. Whilst I’m not a great lover of white wine I have to say this Sauvignon Blanc was very good. My wife asked for cranberry juice to be brought at room temperature. She was assured this wouldn’t be a problem and was then delivered an ice cold glass of juice. Secondly, the toilets. As others have said, were I to have seen the state of the gents’ toilet beforehand, I probably would have left. The one and only toilet cubicle was grim and matters were made worse by there being no running water at the time of our visit. I understand somebody was working on it there and then but it meant no washing of hands. Likewise in the ladies’ toilet.

Dear Westminster Kitchen Grill House Me & my boyfriend were very happy with our meal. He had the fillet & I had the chicken pasta both were well flavoured & to our satisfaction. The service was friendly & quick maybe a bit too quick but only meant well. The only thing that was not to our satisfaction were the toilets, which we found unhygienic & dirty

What an amazing gem, in the heart of London. Chose this restaurant based on previous reviews and so pleased we did. Would happily return and recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat. Management went out their way when they found out it was my friends birthday and even dimmed the lights with cake and candle to the tune of happy birthday. Beautiful touch to a fab evening. Thank you so much x

Honest, very fresh and tasty meals. Attentive and swift service. The music is a bit loud, I would suggest a mellower background soundtrack. That would earn the restaurant a fifth star for atmosphere.

Dinner was really good. Tasty. T-bone and lamp chops were really good. Service was amazing and would like to thank Munna personally for making our dinner even better.

I work nearby and often have a steak craving, so come across on occasion for a steak and a glass of red. It has always hit the spot, I’ve always been seated without delay, service by Zia has always been attentive. The steak menu today looked expanded from previous visits (a while ago perhaps) and it has always hit the spot, without necessarily being the best I have ever had. The glass of house red wine is always to my liking. As a lone diner always pouring over work, the service is never intrusive, and yet I feel attended to. Zia was great at checking in, without pressuring me. The ambience was pleasant for casual evening dining - lively enough to feel like I was out, but not raucous. I will be back I’m sure.

Absolutely fantastic!! Food great and portions good. Staff incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond. We were visiting London for my son’s birthday and chose to eat here at the Westminster Kitchen. After we finished eating, Ali (our server) bought out a cake with a candle and happy birthday music! It was such an amazing touch! Thank you Ali…we have a very happy boy!

I’m glad I didn’t listen to the ratings too much, because the food was amazing. We had fish and chips and sirloin steak. The steak was cooked perfectly as we asked, served with some pepper sauce and fries. Fish and chips were literally the size of a plate and no it was not just batter, it was full of fish and it was delicious. Would definitely come again and would recommend, location is very convenient as well. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Loved this place! Was going to settle for the pub down the street but we looked a bit more and discovered Westminster Kitchen! Excellent experience - great atmosphere, great staff, decent prices and the filet was cooked to perfection and served at the exact right time - the meal and the restaurant were both elegant and casual at- once. We will be back!

The best place to eat by London Eye with the kids. Kids loved fresh baked pizzas and calmari. We enjoyed beautifully grilled steaks and lamb shank. Amazing staff, always ready to help and with the smile on the face. Will come for sure!

Les prix sur la carte extérieure sont faux, à l'intérieur tous les prix sont supérieurs d'au moins 2 livres par plat, sans compter 13,5% de supplément à la fin sur l'addition. Le fish and chips est bon sauf dans le menu enfants où ce sont 5 petits bâtonnets surgelés qui se battent avec quelques frites. Les toilettes sont minuscules et très sales (urine au sol, papier toilette inutilisable car mouillé...). Vu le prix je m'attendais à mieux.

We had dinner on Christmas evening, the food was excellent 👍. This place is right next to the Marriott Hotel and the London eye. The veggie burger and spicy pasta were delicious and I liked the cobra beer. We asked many questions due to specific dietary restrictions, Ali helped us with answers. Der Empfang war eher kühl, uns wurde , trotz leerem Restaurant ein Tisch direkt beim Eingang zugewiesen Den wollten wir nicht und wurden dann schon recht unfreundlich zu einem anderen Tisch geführt Auf die Frage woraus die vegetarischen pulled porc Burger seien wurde beharrlich auf die Getränkebestellung gepocht.. ich wollte , da meine Tochter Vegetarierin ist, jedoch erst wissen ob wir dann was finden können… unfreundlich wurde dann mit dem Kulli die Vegetarische Sparte auf der Menükarte durchgekrizelt, das eürde es so nicht mehr geben.Als Alternative wurde dann der Cesar Salat empfohlen. So unfreundlich .. eine Schande, absolutes no go Nicht zu empfehlen

Kein guter Start..trotz fast leerem Lokal wollte der Kellner uns direkt am Eingang platzieren, schön im Durchzug. Die Frage nach einem anderen Tisch( fast 80 % waren leer) wurde zähneknirschend akzeptiert. Sofort kam das Menü und meinen Tochter hatte einen Frage zu dem unter Vegetarisch/Vegan angegebenen Pulles Porc Burger. Der Kellner wollte unbedingt sofort Getränke aufnehmen und ging nicht auf die Frage ein. Da meinen Tochter Vegetarierin ist, wäre dies aber wichtig für Sie, so haben wir gesagt wir wollen gerne wissen was das genau sein sollte bevor wir Getränke orderten. Frech und überheblich griff er seinen Kulli und strich die gesamte Sparte der Vegetarischen/Veganen Gerichte durch..das würde nicht mehr angeboten, es gäbe ja noch einen Salat, der sei vegetarisch. So eine Frechheit lassen wir uns nicht bieten, und die Gäste sollen wissen dass hier so ein barscher, unfreundlicher Ton herrscht. Wir haben kommentarlos dieses unfreundliche Restaurant verlassen.

L’atmosphère, la cuisine et l’accueil étaient excellents. Le restaurant est extrêmement bien situé, et dispose d’un cadre idéal pour passer un moment convivial. Mention spéciale à la qualité du repas.

I was seated quickly and order taken promptly and food and drinks arrived in good time. Pizza was very good and salad was good although not quite worth nearly 9 pounds. But, after I received my food, no one ever checked back with me. Didn't ask if things came out okay or to see if I wanted more drinks-- both water glass and bar drink were empty. Also wasn't given a plate to put my pizza on. Once I was finished, I sat there was several. minutes and finally waved someone down to ask for more water, a box and the bill. Good food and it was quick (in the beginning at least), but I didn't really feel like a valid customer. Yes, I was a solo diner, but I spent nearly 40 pounds.

Fuimos a almorzar once personas y aún habiendo mesas libres sin reservas, nos dijeron que no que solo había para seis....no solo esto sino que detrás otros españoles (5 en este caso) y tmb les dijeron que no . 1 estrellas sin más.Fuimos un par de bares más adelante y nos dejamos las casi 300libras allí .

Jammer dat we pas laat dit restaurant hebben ontdekt. Vriendelijke service, tweede keer geholpen door Sayem, goede sfeer en goed menu. Zeker een aanrader. Voor ons makkelijk bereikbaar, om de hoek van ons hotel (Park Plaza Westminster). Volgende keer als we weer in Londen zijn gaan we er zeker weer heen.

Delicious “comfort food” in a no nonsense spot.

Food was lovely, staff friendly. They brought up the wrong dessert so I ended up with two, I only finished one.

This restaurant is near the Westminster Bridge and the London Eye. It’s walking distance from many rail stops. We were seated quickly and staff was attentive. We were served quickly and enjoyed their dishes. The food was good, and the prices were reasonable for London.
