Wow - what a suggestion this was. I had tried steak before, did not enjoy it and never gave it a chance until I came to Flat Iron. I ordered medium rare steak with peppercorn, and it tasted absolutely delightful. The steak was not too chewy and the peppercorn sauce paired so well with the meat. The chips were also cooked very well. The popcorn was a nice addition. The ice cream at the end of our meal was so creamy and tasted amazing!! Definitely a place to add onto your list!!

First time having a meal at flat iron Waterloo and we loved every moment of it. The food was simply fantastic! We ordered the Scottish Bavette and their special, Wagyu Hanger. In our opinion, no sauce required, just more salt and pepper based on your taste buds! Loved their truffle Mac & cheese side as well. Special mention to Jay for being so attentive and caring towards us, especially since it’s our first time here. He patiently shared the various cuts and offered suggestions when we feel a little spoiled for choice. Thank you Jay for making our dining experience a lovely one!

Steak was tough and service was mediocre. Our server was all over the place (more interested in flirting with her friends and smoking) than getting our beers and meal ordered correctly. I feel like the reviews here are overrated.

We visited London and thereby the flat iron for the first time and it was an incredible experience! Our host Luigi was so nice and so kind. He literally made the evening for us. The food was delicious, and we loved the free popcorn and ice cream at the end. A 10/10 so good!!

What an amazing place. Absolutely delicious steaks, which are amazingly great value for london and a brilliant idea of free ice creams on your way out from their own homemade ice cream. But what sets this place above the rest is the staff. Each and every one of them were so friendly and helpful without being too over the top and all had a genuine smile on their face which made me feel the same too. Best staff in london hands down.

flatiron steak was very nice, tbone seemed very overpriced compared to the other flat iron steak. also was very unimpressed about having a 12.5% optional charge showing up on receipt but not being told about this before paying. sneaky.... if i want to tip ill tip, dont just add money without discussing with customers first.

Decent steak for the price, burger was tasty but the patty was abit dry and their sides were good. Ice Cream at the end was abit watery but flavoursome.

This is a great restaurant. The interior is very nice, feels very cozy. The food was amazing. Me and my GF both had the flat iron steak with mash and chips. The quality of the meat is very good. The servers were also very nice and they offered us complimentary ice cream at the end of the meal. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Can be a wait but they send a message via text when it is ready, that is very handy. They are obviously very busy but yet still have very good customer service and quality food. The steak is a little small for some, but was pleasant nonetheless

Great place for a steak for lunch or dinner. It's easy to order, and the food comes out quick. The french fries and mac & cheese were also delicious. And as a treat, they give you a free ice cream cone on the way out.

We spontaneously went to Flat Iron and got a table straight away (it was Monday). The service was super attentive and our popcorn was always refilled. The food came quickly and was extremely tasty. The steak and two side dishes were completely enough for me; I couldn't even fit the ice cream. Thank you, Jay for your hospitality.

Average steak which was very small, unsurprisingly given the relatively low price. Tiny portion of chips and a tiny amount of peppercorn sauce. A few pounds under 30 quid for an inoffensive and forgettable meal.

Nice place for a decent well cooked steak

From the states, we have eaten at quite a few restaurants since arriving and not one compares to our experience at this one. The popcorn, steak, mash, mac, and ice cream is flawless. Our server who has only been there a few weeks was knowledgable, friendly, and attentive. My kids were asking to come back and we hadn’t even left yet. Lol

The flat iron steak was amazing. So good, we had to go back the following night. The fries were tasty, but my favorite side was the garlic mashed potatoes. If you like garlic, they are a must. The free ice cream cone at the end was the perfect end, since it was small and just enough to finish the dinner.

Tasty steak. Almost enough and if you like a big plate, this place may not be for you. Choices are limited and it's what they specialise in, to be able to serve best steak around.

Last night my friend and I had another great time at Flat Iron (and I didn’t have any doubt). I came to this restaurant multiple times and I always enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, but in particular the people who works there! Nico, Samu and Luigi were so nice and they made sure we spent a great evening :)

This was my third visit to Flatiron. This is very busy so we put our name done and a text came through about 20 minutes later when we were having a drink locally. Staff are really friendly and efficient. We had a lovely bottle of pinot noir. We had the Denver cut and a flat iron. The flat iron was over salted and not cooked as requested. They removed that from the bill. Toilets are clean and smell great with Cowshed products. Our table was well located but it was in a cold spot near the window. Loved the usual exit ice cream. I personally prefer the branches with the open kitchens.

Snuck away from the kids for dinner with my wife. They had us in and out of there with an amazing meal in 45mins. Quality steaks and sides at a price you can't beat anywhere else in this town. Very friendly staff. Free ice cream dessert will make you happy even if you somehow don't like your meal. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this place. The servers were so lovely, friendly and full of energy and so accommodating. The food was honestly some of the best I’ve had (especially for the price) the steak was to die for. Definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back !

First time at Flat Iron. It did not disappoint and for a few reasons, the service was super quick and friendly. The food was at a good quality, nice simple options and straight to the point. The flat iron steaks are a beauty. Had it medium with peppercorn sauce, garlic mash and cheese and kale. Really delicious! And you can the ice cream cone at the end, which again is such a nice touch. Great value for money and I would highly recommend booking as always fully booked and seems to be across the board with most of them across the city. I went there alone without a reservation and it was no problem for the nice lady to seat me. There was free popcorn and water straight away...the service was very friendly and attentive. The food came relatively quickly: the steak was perfectly cooked to the desired point and was tender and the side dishes were hard to beat in terms of taste! All for a pretty good and affordable price! But I didn't take the free ice cream at the end because I was really full! Highly recommended and I'll definitely come back!
