Red Dog Saloon in Nottingham

Usually I’ve enjoyed going here and really have rated red dog as pretty decent. So it’s fairly disappointing to pay £13.50 for an INDIVIDUAL SANDWICH and get a measley amount of meat on there - probably about a tablespoon. I brought this up and got a “thanks, we will let the kitchen know because we’ve changed our menu” but no more meat, no apology, no discount. Tasted alright and the side of beans was pretty good, but leaving hungry in search of meat. Proper stingy and not to be offered anything as way of correction is poor. Probably wouldn’t go back to Red Dog again if this is their new “menu” as it looks the same as the last time I went a few months back, so clearly they’re just cutting down on portions (as can be seen in the rest of these reviews) Scott McTominays scissor kick was the highlight of my visit. Super happy for the bloke.

The pulled pork sandwhich was genuinely tiny and tasted like crap. Nothing like what they advertise online. Just another chain restaurant gone down the pan. Avoid

£69 for a tray with that amount of MEAT is daylight robbery! It wasn’t even anything special! Service was nice enough but the prices are ridiculous for the quantity (it’s a bbq place and half of the near £70 tray is filled with dry relish) AVOID!

The food was delicious 😋 I had bbq ribs, mac and cheese and fried chicken. It's as if I was transported to America. I'm famished right now so let me stop! Highly recommend 👌 👍

Quick refeed on a brief trip to Notts before a comp. Hit the spot real good - ribeye burger, catfish, collard greens and mac & cheese. Exactly what I expected re what I had in front of me, top flavour and didn’t sit heavy on my stomach which this kinda food often can. Fully enjoyable meal. Class venue, class service (esp. from Rose). Would come back!

Sadly a disappointing visit, this place had everything I wanted on paper but failed to deliver in reality. Wait time for food was fairly long (~50 minutes) this would have been fine if the portion size that came was reflective of the price. I felt the amount of food for somewhere billed as an American BBQ was really quite meager, for £25 a single sausage, pork rib and couple slices of brisket isn't representative of value for money. The sausage was fine, the pork rib and brisket slices were actually very tasty with the brisket being moist and flaky. Shame on the portion size and wait time, shall be trying other places instead of here.

So me and my friends went to this place as a birthday dinner surprise for our friend and overall the experience was okay. First of all, the pricing at this place is ridiculously expensive especially for students, I understand with the sizing and quality of the food it makes sense, however something that was rather dogy to me was the fact on their menu, the shared platter price was not fixed to the complete price, instead they've put the price requirement PER PERSON (minimum of 2 people), so instead of the platter being priced at £34, as shown on the menu, it was ACTUALLY £68! And that's just for 2 people!! Usually with shared platters there should be some sort of bargain, this was not. Moreover, disappointedly that night they so happened to have run out of brisket...which was something we were really looking forward to and limited almost half of the menu as a majority of food items consisted of brisket. Although the food was good, especially the burgers were very flavourful and juicy! The pricing was not acceptable, especially the fact that one of my friends was charged EXTRA for chips after paying 16 quid for 3 pieces of chicken... The rib was huge but quite dry and very salty, the wings sauce was too lemony and bitter, the mash was not enough for 2 people but was delicious! Since it was so expensive me and 2 other friends (3) shared the 2 people platter and still had ended up paying around nearly 30 quid EACH! This place is not student friendly (no discounts), the only thing maybe worthwhile getting is the burgers, this place is too expensive otherwise for anyone to be able to enjoy.

The food was good but definitely not worth the money the burger itself was £20 then paying an extortionate £5.75 for A SINGULAR portion of clearly frozen fries was ridiculous, the coleslaw was good and fresh but was not worth the nearly £7 we spent for it, in my opinion the whole menu needs looking at for portion size and value for money for being the only red dog saloon in the East Midlands was really unsatisfactory and severely disappointing. The drinks were good though I’ll give them that hats off to the bar team. The service was okay but for 2 people dining and spending over £100 it was abit ridiculous. You can clearly tell it’s a male targeted restaurant which is fine but when you’re surrounded by men and can overhear that the server is more friendly with them then a quiet couple was quite disappointing to be honest (we didn’t even get told the servers name). (The lady that sat us was lovely and the gentleman that brought our food out was nice and attentive just a personal note). Also on top of all this THE SERVER ADDED A SERVICE CHARGE/ discretionary charge without telling us which in working in hospitality myself you tell the guest that that’s on there ITS NOT COMPULSORY IN THE UK and if the guest want to they CAN opt out of it, but nothing was said to us (a recurring theme in this complaint). I understand working for EXTRA tips as a BONUS to their hourly rate but we found it very disrespectful and waste of good earned money. I’m really not one to complain because I understand the hospitality sector but this whole experience was really disappointing!!!!

I was excited to take my partner to a barbecue restaurant because we both love it so much. I’m originally from Southern United States so I know what good barbecue tastes like. We were very disappointed in the food quality. It was completely flavourless, which is the exact opposite of what barbecue is supposed to be. Nothing had seasoning on it. From the onion rings to the pulled pork and brisket to the beans, it was all supremely bland. The sandwiches also arrived to the table cold. My partner doesn’t like to send food back, so I didn’t speak to anyone about it to save him the embarrassment of complaining to the staff. I struggled get it down in the end despite having missed lunch that day and being absolutely famished. The service was fine, nothing major except that our large and messy barbecue sandwiches were served in tiny side plates. I had to ask the server to bring us normal sized plates because there was hardly any space for the sandwich, let alone the sides we ordered. The only positive was the house-made peach iced tea which was really lovely. I’d come back to Red Dog Saloon just to order an iced tea to go. The entire experience was a let down, especially for such an expensive meal. Won’t back unless it’s a hot summer day and I’m craving some iced tea.

All food cold and greasy, brought this to the attention of staff who really didn't care, will definitely not revisit.

Me and my partner visited here yesterday , we haven’t been for a while and wow was we disappointed! I had the Philly cheesesteak sub roll and it was not very good it was chewy and boring , my partner had the chicken tenders and they were ok but even popeyes was better it was average food the mozzarella sticks came out cold we sent them back then they came out overdone like we was punished for them not cooking them properly in the first place , the waitress was absolutely lovely very good customer service . There was no one else in the whole restaurant which made me uneasy but now I can see why , their food didn’t meet my expectations like it has done in the past so unfortunately we won’t be returning as also this place is not cheap on pricing which made it worse so we left pretty disheartened

Went for a meal today and was absolutely awful, one person's food was made incorrectly so had to wait an extra 15 minutes for their meal while everyone else ate. Asked for extra sauce which also took ages. Food took ages to come out, extremely poor quality for the prices they're charging.

Food was excellent but 2 big issues for a Texas BBQ, no corn bread, glasses weren't chilled

Food is good, however frankly not worth it, paid nearly £20 for 3 slithers of Brisket. Burgers are 15 to 20 pounds without sides. Soft drinks - £4.75 for a pint of coke 10% Service Charge added on by default If the prices were better this place would be amazing.

It was ok but very over priced for what it was. Hickorys is better quality, value and atmosphere. Staff were nice. We felt a bit let down for the cost of the sharing platter and 1 drink each about £90! The food was ok but nothing special.

It wasn't bad for what it was but absolutely nothing to shout about. We had a sharing platter between us, and it was okay at best, brisket was nice, burger was good, but the rest was not worth the price paid. The food was warm not piping hot and lost temperature very quickly. Other than the guy who was serving us, all the other staff looked absolutely miserable, like they didn't want to be there, which certainly didn't justify the 10% service charge at the end of the bill that's added on. My view is if you are looking for a smoke house this is okay, there are certainly better ones and if you are wanting a decent meal there are plenty of other places you can go that will give you a better meal for the price point.

Had a great time at this BBQ smokehouse! The food was absolutely epic — packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The nachos and cocktails were real standouts, both top-notch and full of character. The atmosphere was lively, especially with the sport on — perfect for a chilled night out. Staff were friendly, attentive, and really added to the experience. Only slight downside was the portion size for the price — a bit on the small side — but the quality definitely made up for it. Would happily go back!

Popped in today for lunch. Great venue. Great staff. Delicious menu. Cannot fault the quality of the food. Cannot fault the friendliness of the staff. And we rolled a 6!!!!! If you know, you know.

The food is good but very overpriced. Platters offer a nice bit of variety but are too small to justify the £35 per person price. Burgers start at around £18 but don’t come with fries. They’re £5.50. 3 chicken tenders are £16.50 also without fries. There are plenty of excellent burger places around Nottingham that are significantly better value. Red Dog has good food but rip-off prices.

I recommend avoiding this place if you don't want to cry that it's over, every moment of your life after it's finished. Having eaten BBQ food in many different countries and many different venues, I can't think of a place that comes close to this. I am a keen barbecuer and appreciate the hard work and technique required to make food this good on the grill, the flavours were outstanding and so was the tenderness. On a serious note, if you're thinking about going here just stop thinking about it and just do it. We had the New York platter, it was absolutely delicious. The prices seem high at first glance but it's clear the quality of food is reflected in that. Well done Red Dog, will be back to see you again 👏👏

Very good food and attentive staff, their brisket is amazing

First time visiting today as a family of 4. Will also be the last. Waitress was very helpful and friendly - could not fault her. Food was less than amazing. 3 burgers which were ok but on the small side, one Philly cheese steak which was the strangest tasting thing and not at all what I was expecting. A ate half but that was enough. I offered the other half to my son and husband who usually hoover up any leftovers, but they took a bite each and then gave it back (so it must have been bad!) a portion of chips each (£5.50 for a tiny cup of fries which you have to buy as an extra and are not included with your meal as they usually are in other places) We also shared some burnt ends as a starter (£12 for 5 tiny cubes which again had a weird taste) So in summary : 1 starter, 4 burgers and chips, one beer and three soft drinks and a bill of £130!!!! Which included a £10 service charge! Wouldn’t mind if we loved the food but we didn’t - it was average and extortionate. I can’t say we enjoyed the surroundings either. Very dark and dingy. And don’t get me started on the paper dessert menu on the table which was covered in stains and dirty finger marks from previous diners. Oh and if want to got to the toilet while you are there you will need to take a torch! A very disappointing meal.

The drink selection was good and we enjoyed the cocktails and beer. They had some unique choices we've not seen from other places. My partner recommends the pickleback (even though it sounds weird!). Atmosphere was as you would expect (American style bbq house) so no surprises there. Everywhere was comfortable and seemed nice and clean. Location was really easy to get to, next to the tram and bus stops. My partners meal turned out okay and was tasty (I had a try) but sadly mine was a disappointment. I had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were overdone, crispy (not fluffy) and burnt, and the two chicken portions I had were 2/3rds bone with the meat hard to get to. I would not recommend getting that especially as it was charged towards the higher end of the menu. I would steer towards the bbq selection instead.

Escuché algunas cosas buenas sobre este lugar y decidí darle una oportunidad. Opiniones decentes también. Brewdog lager es encantador, amigos probaron alas y costillas combo que disfrutaron. Probé la hamburguesa chronos que es enorme pero no barato en £ 28. Las comidas no vienen con papas fritas tienen que pedirse por separado. La comida tardó unos 25 minutos en llegar. Tomó una amiga que era vegana, no hay mucha elección para ella, pero lo hizo bien. Place añade un cargo de servicio del 10% no todo el mundo lo hace, pero solo para informarle. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita.

Juicy meaty cheesy crispy drippy delicious get in me yes

Ordered the £25 beef rib. Gotta say it was as tough as a pair of old boots. I couldn't cut it with the knife let alone bite it. I didn't want to complain so I continued to try chewing it but couldn't swallow much of it. I expected it to fall off the bone. The waitress came to ask us if all was good, I told her the rib was very tough to which she replied, "it can vary from piece to piece, possibly left smoking too long" Ok, I don't think I'll be back. My wife's brisket was nice and the onion rings were possibly the best I've had anywhere. But the star of the show, the rib on the bone was nothing but a let down.

Rustic, maybe a little too loud. Service and food outstanding. We ordered a plate for several people. You should be very hungry 😁. Better to order less for one person.

Food was a bit cold. Venue was a bit cold. Beef rib was a bit cold and a little tough. Chips were a bit cold. Service was friendly but very slow considering the number of staff there appeared to be. I'm not rushing to go back but it was OK.

Ate here today and the food was delicious. Had the Cronos burger which was massive and full of different meat cuts. Staff were attentive and very helpful with recommendations. Would have been a 5 Star review, however I think having a tip option on top of already paying a 10% service charge was a bit sneaky.

Visitamos Red Dog Saloon, Nottingham después de asistir a un evento en la arena. Es la primera vez y la última vez que elegiríamos ir allí. La comida es extremadamente caro para lo que usted consigue. Tenía la costilla principal, venía en el plato más pequeño que he visto con 4 papas asadas y 1 pequeño pudín de Yorkshire congelado (un buen pudín de Yorkshire casero es tan fácil de hacer y almacenar que esto es simplemente ridículo). También venía con alguna forma de verdura cremosa, pero esto estaba en un tazón aparte porque no hay espacio en el plato pequeño. Se supone que se servía con salsa pero era más una crema espesa, la salsa estaba bien pero no era una salsa como se anunciaba. Por £ 25 era muy pobre, no cuchillo de carne tampoco que es una cosa pequeña, pero solo debería ser un estándar. Mi esposo tenía el Texas Trinity, este vino con 1 salchicha, 2 trozos pequeños de carne de res y una costilla de cerdo muy grasa que quedó en el plato. Sin patatas fritas, estas tenían que pedirse por separado, así que en conjunto esta comida era de £ 30, y un completo desperdicio de dinero. Nuestra factura llegó a más de £ 70 con 2 cocas de dieta y honestamente hay muchos mejores lugares que se puede comer en Nottingham por esa cantidad de dinero.

Dirty menus, poor service, overcooked food.

Incredible food, burgers were elite and staff were fabulous. Definitely on the expensive side for Nottingam but you really notice the exceptional quality of the food. Would highly recommend.

The restaurant is clean and looks great however the service was slow and inattentive. The food was far too sugary and sweet and the sides should’ve been included but were instead very expensive. For the strong money Red Dog is asking the food should’ve been much better.

Over rated and overpriced , looks amazing when viewing there burgers etc online . However once seated you quickly realise that it isn’t going to meet the hype they have promised . Restaurant is dirty , had a cold draught where I was seated which made me uncomfortable throughout and failed to be reseated upon asking . Food bland , dry and over salted I’ve had better chicken from high street vendors ! Vomit in the stairwell which still hadn’t been cleaned by the time we left . Probably best avoided if you want a genuine taste of the USA or even something remotely palatable .

If you want some actual meat on your food. Don’t bother. Ribs covered in just fat. And if you mention it, they just avoid having a discussion with you. Garbage food

Don’t bother. Group of 6 friends on a Saturday night. 3 starters, 6 mains, 3 beers and 1 bottle of wine, bill was £270. We don’t mind paying good money for good food but this was not that. Mediocre smokehouse style food, much better alternatives locally. Outrageously tiny portion of fries costing £5.50 in addition to the £15 burger. Warm drinks. Uncomfortable seating and lack of atmosphere. Very disappointing, we all wished we’d gone elsewhere.

Went in on a Monday lunchtime in half term. We were visiting family and stopped for lunch in the city and happened across this place. First impressions were great but it was pretty dead inside but it was a Monday I guess. Food was tasty but the portions were pretty measly for the price (approx £20ish each for just chicken tenders and burgers, without chips). The total bill came to £70 for three of us with just 3 diet cokes for drinks which seemed crazy expensive. Then the killer blow which seems to be rife everywhere these days - the 10% service charge automatically added to the bill. Why? I’m sure this place pays at least minimum wage so why do this? I loathe this tipping culture which has crept in. Such a shame as the great food was let down by expensive prices and the greedy service charge for what I’d just call standard service. Won’t be going back unfortunately

Food overpriced for what was served. My boyfriend was also served a glass of water, that I had to ask for many times, with a fly in it. Server was barely apologetic. If it was summer, I could’ve tried to let it go but even then it’s still disgusting, but we are in winter..? I was very shocked about their reaction to this. This should’ve received a proper apology or discount. Small portion of fries is £5.50. Cheeseburger is £21 and for what? They also brought a tall burger that obviously needs space on the smallest plate… Please never waste your time or money going here. If you read this and still end up going there and the same experience happens to you, you have no one else to blame, you have been warned.

Nice place but was let down by a few things firstly the burgers come on there own so you have get fries separate which brought up the price alot. The overall burger and fries were average at best, fried were chewy and burger was over cooked. When it comes to dessert we got flung this piece of paper with one dessert. Then we had to call for a waitress and she said she forgot about us to check if we wanted desserts. On the menu it missed the soft drinks too...they have them but they aren't noted anywhere.

Food was great, servers were all super lovely. Only issue is the sharing platters. The menu doesn't clearly state that you will be charged £34 PER PERSON. We ordered the platter, and ended up having to pay £70 for just a tray of meat. It's really not worth £70... maybe 40-50 in total, but super cheeky charging per person. Wouldn't have bothered ordering it if the menu clearly stated that you will be charged per person. Has put us off going back, as we've just thrown so much money down the drain.

The best chicken burgers in town! Was there with friend yesterday and ordered double chicken burgers Sando and it was amazing, chicken was juicy with a crunchy fried chicken batter, coleslaw great. Service was amazing, despite of full room of guests we felt well looked after, they were available, approachable and friendly! Definitely will come back! Highly recommended.

But as good as the food was, it almost paled in comparison to the service. Our server, Jimmy, wasn’t just good—he was a virtuoso of the craft. The man didn’t just serve; he curated an experience. Upon learning it was my birthday, did Jimmy hesitate? I’ll let you be the judge of that. He brought me a free iced tea, an act of kindness that made me feel like royalty. And then, the pièce de résistance: candles on the Gooey Louis burger. Yes, you read that right—this legend of a server turned a beefy, cheesy masterpiece into a birthday cake. It was the most absurdly brilliant thing I’ve ever seen. Jimmy’s attention to detail, his genuine enthusiasm, and his ability to make every moment feel special made this visit unforgettable. If there’s a Hall of Fame for servers, Jimmy should be its founding member. Red Dog Saloon, you’ve outdone yourselves—not just with the food, but with the absolute hospitality wizardry of Jimmy. If you haven’t been, you need to go. And when you do, ask for Jimmy. Trust me, you won’t just have a meal—you’ll have a memory that lasts a lifetime.

I was at 'Red Dog' last night, and what an experience. The food was of course exceptional, but that wasn't a surprise to me. I knew that was coming, I've been here before, I know the drill. The Gooey Louis was just insane, and then I had a particular soft spot for the brisket also. However... potentially the best bit of the evening and experience as a whole, was our server Jimmy. The man just exuded quality in everything he did that night. The line between waiter and entertainer was blurred, but in a good way of course. Thank you for making the evening even better Jimmy, and for mastering the skill of serving in a restaurant capacity. Keep up the brilliant work and enjoy your Guinness out of your special glass.

I ordered a chicken & rib combo. We waited for almost an hour for the chicken to be burnt and dry and the rib to be cold. I’v had a bad stomach from it the next day. I think the tactics is to keep you waiting forever so then you’re hungry enough to eat anything and you don’t have the time to send the food back ( we had other activities lined up for my friends birthday) luckily we did some fun stuff after with good service etc. If this was the main thing we did it would’ve been a very disappointing evening

Extremely average and not well priced.

No where near as good as it used to be, based on our last two visits. The last visit was 9pm on a Saturday, so late in the day but it was busy and bustling. The waitress waited until she had sat us down to tell us 'we don't have any of the BBQ meats left'. Again, it was late in the day, so I might have expected them to have run out of some things, presuming it is genuine cooked on the premises BBQ- but I was surprised they didn't think to prewarn us that they had nothing left at all. This left us with mainly the fried chicken to choose from. This was fresh and tasty as was the coleslaw ( though not as tasty as I remember when it was on the menu as 'louie's' fried chicken). There was a bit of a lack of attention to detail- no dip served with the chicken tenders; coleslaw served on the Texas toast making it soggy and mayonnaise. It was also really expensive- £5.50 for a tiny portion of fries. No longer feels like somewhere we would rush back to.

When me and my family arrived at the restaurant we were welcomed immediately by a friendly waitress. The food was delicious , we shared a platter for 4 and we even had to take some home. Definitely recommend and would visit again.

Really enjoyed lunch at red dog saloon, very welcoming and great service despite it being pretty busy. I got the Hickory burger and my partner got the beef rib plate. Portion sizes and quality was great we only needed 1 side between the two of us.

Had a lovely time here when we came for lunch. we were sat on the bar side as my boyfriend wanted to watch the football, but there was quieter seating available. Our waitress was so lovely and the staff seemed to work well as a team. I was impressed by the portion of onion rings and mozzarella sticks we had on the side.

Had a wonderful experience at red dog. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and easy to talk to. There was a great atmosphere in the building with sports playing one side and a more restaurant orientated side. The selections of drinks is extensive with many cocktails to chose from and the waitress let us know they can adapt most of these to be mocktails which was great. The food was brilliant, burgers are full of flavour and served slightly pink (unless ordered as well done) which made them juicy. They have many options with loads of different toppings to choose from. I would highly recommend red dog saloon for any occasion really, will definitely be returning.

I came into the restaurant at lunchtime the other day, and was promptly seated and served buy a waitress- she was very prompt and very helpful when ordering. I ended up ordering a classic double cheese burger well done with fries and both were great! The fries well seasoned and the burger moist even though well done and had a good ratio of toppings! Would eat here again for sure and have recommended to friends in the area!

First time visit, was heading to brewdog but didn't realise how small it was (be warned, I'd strongly recommend reserving - I've never had to do this at other brewdogs...)- anyway no space on a Saturday afternoon (3pm), so went round corner to Red Dog - a good call... Service was excellent, quick, and professional. Staff helped with portion sizes which was good so we didn't end up over ordering. Great burgers, sides also good. Top tip if you go for a burger I'd suggest you only need 1 side between 2 people. Bill came to around £30 each incl. alcoholic drinks so about par these days. Would I go back, yes. Recommended 👍

Atmosphere great , boxing on pints flowing , not overly loud . Female serving staff great , but male asked us if we needed sauces , we said yes , he never brought any . Issue comes from food , tiny portion of chips , very overpriced. The burger I got was warm at best , supposed to be gooey , cold rubber motz sticks on to , bacon that was just almost all fat ( had to remove from burger ) and top of bun covered in mayo that wasn't supposed to be on the burger , cba waiting to removed bacon , scraped off mayo , wiped off the excess on nap kin . No BBQ meats on this day so can't speak of that , but burger was a cold grim mess , worse than a 5guys

Just OK to be honest. Food is seriously over priced and you can get very similar cuisine elsewhere for half the price. If you like paying 20 pounds for a burger with no fries be my guest. I wouldn't bother again.

We booked to have a meal on new year's eve with family and friends. Unfortunately this ended up being a big mistake. The staff seemed intoxicated at 630pm (staff had beem seen drinking) onwards and then struggled to undertake there duties, our meals came out at 3 different stages, at least 15 minutes from our first lot to the kids meals arriving last. To cap it all off when I complained to the waitress that 2 meals of chicken on the bone were still bright red inside and uncooked, I was then passed a message back from the manager saying the chicken was fine to eat as it had been probed (this food then got left), around 3 hours later I found my self being violently sick for around an hour. The following morning i wakeup with a rash all over my face, after speaking to a doctor friend, he advised me that I had food poisoning, which I already new this to be the case I wouldn't advise anyone to eat here as the staff are not capable and the preparation of the food is way below minimum standard and very over priced for the quality

Food was dry and tasted off! We had the platter and wouldn’t recommend it at all, meat all tasted bad, wouldn’t recommend this place at all!

Felt like I was in an episode of kitchen nightmares. Had read the trip advisor reviews about poor service but decided to give them the benefit of doubt. Arrived to a cold and strange smelling restaurant- I had expected amazing smells of bbq meat and a relaxed vibe but the place was empty and devoid of any kind of atmosphere. Served quickly arrived to take our orders - immediately stated that something wasn’t available. Fine. Server then came back 5 minutes later to say another item wasn’t available for a meat platter - we asked if we could substitute it (pork ribs for beef ribs) and she said no because of the price difference… could have easily waived this considering our order was over £100 or even suggested covering it with the £2 price difference. At this point I gave up - the remaining options were just burgers which is not what I wanted nor expected from an ‘authentic’ bbq restaurant. Don’t waste your time or money.

Visited red dog on 17th December at 12:30pm. We have been numerous times before and have been disappointed the last few occasions but I wanted to give it another go as I know how good they can be. Wow, so glad we did. Food was perfect, service was brilliant. The servers took extra time to talk us through options and preferences and were very friendly and personable. Food came out piping hot and absolutely delicious, best burger I have eaten in years. I had a double cheese burger and my partner had a solo platter. We can’t wait to come back.

Great for a date night or relaxed meal the burgers were great and the pork ribs are to die for, proper authentic bbq smoke just like the states.

Visited on a Saturday night and received quick service. However the beer we received was flat and the food is overpriced for small portions. I had the chicken tenders for 16.50 and found them dry. We also were over charged for a drink that they initially forgot to bring us. When we said the beer we received was flat the response was that it did look flat by the waitress but a refund or fresh drink was not offered to us. A nice idea and menu but would not recommend.

I wasn't a fan. 2 of us enjoyed our meals. 2 of us didn't. The onion rings on my burger were freezing cold and the bacon was rock hard I couldn't get through it. The chips were stone cold too. However my son loved his children's meal. It was all abit hit and miss. But overall not worth £97 for 4 burgers and 4 cokes.

Not what I expected I have been to the USA quite a few times and this just isn’t America food bit of a mish mash put together and the drinks are extremely expensive don’t think I will be rushing back here soon

When I bit into my chicken I got a mouth full of blood. My husband took the dish to the bar as I was crying and very upset. They immediately took it away, apologised, and assured me the manager would come talk with me asap. He took a long time to come (I was not made a priority), had an awful attitude, refused to compensate mine and my husbands meal (only the bloody chicken) and informed me I couldn't possibly get sick as the chicken is 'fresh'. That is not how salmonella and campylobacter work, and it's terrifying the restaurant manager doesn't understand basic food safety.

We turned up without a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in. So glad they did. The food was absolutely amazing. Our server was fantastic but unfortunately can't remember her name. I recommend the burnt ends and the Mac and cheese. The burgers looked amazing. Can highly recommend eating here. You need to open a restaurant in York as we're only in Nottingham a few times a year for gigs.

Went with a friend and both ordered the New York Platter each, the food was passable (chicken tenders were the highlight, very tender insides and crunchy coating) but didn't seem like anywhere near enough quality nor quantity to justify the price. The service was very good and the atmosphere was nice - seems like a decent place to go if you want to go and watch the football for sure. The mens toilets however are in an absolute state of disrepair - three taps and two of them didn't work and one was a dribble, the taps area seems to be utterly rusted over. Overall, flaws aside I'd say maybe check it out if you are looking for something to try or want somewhere to watch the football, but don't expect to be blown away.

Average food but overpriced. Tv was on very loud and it was very cold when you took the trek to the toilet. Had to send chips back as cold, replaced them but that took 15 minutes. There are many cheaper places that do better food, however the milk shake was very good.

Good and hearty food, french fries are disgusting wrapped in something spicy -disgusting. I just like plain french fries! Camden stout was not available. The service is good and friendly.

Booked in here for our work Christmas meal. Communication prior to the meal was brilliant. Service really good and the food was great too. Nothing to moan about and will definitely be coming again

Definitely the place for a quick American meat fix!
