Stopped off here for food on a long journey. Decent prices for good sized portions of tasty food and good service.

Very nice fish n chips. Drunk people screaming though.

Went here during the day for food. Lovely place and the food was good. Good price too.

Some customers aggressive and intimidating.

Disappointed that it has taken a drop in the past few years since I last visited. People hanging out smoking cannabis close to the entrance in the late afternoon (approx 415pm). Food scraps on the floor of one of the booths. Tables wiped but not degreased. Such a pity.

Everyone there was very merry, fun atmosphere, prices were reasonable.

Nice to pop in for something to eat

Kitchen was closed the day we went so we went elsewhere. Toilets were clean.

I don't go in very often but when I do it's usually for a meal. The food is great and the people that work there are fantastic

All in all I really enjoyed my night. I don't usually go out out so at first I was a little anxious but not long because, The people where friendly the pub was very clean and presentable. Food was nice and staff where okay. I would go there again and my son even enjoyed the disco.

We went as a family of 13 for Xmas Dinner today. The food was excellent so much we couldn't actually eat it all would thoroughly recommend 👌

Went there for the first time a while ago, Brilliant food, nice pub but the service stood out the most, was excellent service. Young gal we think called Sara was brilliant, very friendly & super efficient. Well done to her & to all of your staff 👏🏽

Total waste of time. 3rd visit and both previous sent chef home so no food. Tonight phoned at 1745 and checked told serving food till 2000 arrived at 1815 and told not busy so sent chef home so again no food don't deserve the business.

Not much food in stock, went with the chicken and it was undercooked and now have food poisoning. The mash potato was so dry and beans was over powered with bbq Sauce. Wish I now looked at reviews before going as this looks like a common thing.

Food not great seemed like it was cooked by untrained chef with not the best of ingredients, being helped by the ever faithful microwave. Staff were fine but you can find better places to eat.

Staff was less than happy to provide food. And changed the menu the food was entirely different and felt like a microwave meal/reheated. Horrible. They refused two old ladies food and then served someone else. There excuse was they weren't busy but then said to us they can't get the staff. Forgot our cutlery. Couldn't find any. One employee sat down eating a cheesecake while those women had nothing to eat. Very disappointed used to love the place. Should known there was no one there.

Great pub and a lovely member of staff with dark hair and lovely lashes who does her best to help everyone and really does go above and beyond. You don't usually find people as great as her. The food was honestly top tier, especially the Sunday dinner. Will definitely be visiting again and suggest this place to anyone looking for a good roast! The new decor is soooo much better, and has a modern yet classic feel to it. Easily accessible with a large car park and they allow dogs too in the bar area.

Well pleasant catered for 15 of us with kids well worth it we will be back. It was my late brothers scattering of ashes and his birthday. Well known in clifton M.R.B tuning.

This place is very good value for money with food £12.00 for 2 mains from selected menu Monday to Thursday. Really friendly and helpful staff ,we will come again.

Second time in a month and hard to believe but the food was even better fast service at bar no hassle opening a tab Steak is to die for melts in mouth I cannot understand why this place is not busier Good food good service and priced just right will defo be going again Lived on this estate since 1979 and cannot believe how good this pub is again .

Odd atmosphere, a lot of people talking about weed and swearing around children. Food and service is OK though

First time coming in after the revamp and I must say it has not disappointed me and my wife came in for some lunch and must say the food was lovely and the staff are very friendly and polite would highly recommend this place and we will definitely coming again

Been going to this pub for about 25 years now. All the money spent on it recently, u would think things would change like the decor. But no, some bar staff don't seem too want to serve u. Yes I understand if they are busy I'm fine with that but when u have a glance in to the bar area and just see them on their phones. Shocking. It states on the website free WiFi but they just always say it don't work. Would be nice to keep the kids and customers happy. But I just feel standards have really slipped now.

I would highly recommend here, the portions were great, food was excellent, staff was friendly and it wasn’t too packed. Couldn’t ask for more, look forward to going again.

Looks lovely now its been refurbished. The food was quite expensive for a clifton pub but I don't think it's a big chain so it will be. The food was nice.

Been today for mother's day special and it was10 out of 10, also been another 3 times since it reopened and all the meals have been fabulous

Stopped for a meal en route to the airport. Lovely food, good price. Only thing to stay is that the meals are large so we could not eat it all

Visited after being done up, to try the food, lunchtime and it didn't disappoint, we had burgers on there buy 1 get 1 special, staff was friendly, as pool table and 2x dart boards (Take your own darts) Was plesent experience from what it was before will be visiting more

It's improved immeasurably since the change in management. Not been in the evening, but during the day it's lovely and the food is excellent

Will not be recommending this pub due to the fact that we all within the next 4 days after our meals 7 out of 10 of us had food poisoning, but we can't prove it very disappointed because the food was actually very nice.

As much of a lovely place as it seems, great staff, good tasting food and it looking fairly clean, this place is actually a hazard. My family and I went for a meal for a birthday and out of 10 people having different meals, 8 of us got food poisoning. I'm still recovering after a week, I'm struggling to eat and have lost half a stone in weight after eating here. I don't know if this place should be serving food at this point, but it's highly concerning and makes me question what's used to clean the kitchen, how clean the pipes are for drinks and many more questions linger. Overall, I do not recommend eating here. Drinking here may also be questionable, do so at your own risk.

Land lady got no respect for customs barred me tonight for no reason look at cctv only because one person is a regular out of order

Came here for a dinner there was 11 of us. Staff couldnt be more helpful. Explained my daughter had a milk allergy and Chelsea came out with a list of all allergens. She offered to get the chef to cook and keep other food seperate. Service was brilliant and will definitely be returning

We went for a meal for my son's 6th birthday and the food was lovely the service was excellent and the lady Chelsea who served us was funny and good with the kids. She took 16pps orders and they all came out within good time hats off to the cheff aswell, I'm not one for reviews but thought I would leave one. Will definitely go back again

Came with family for some food. Not been for a while so was nice to see it looking so nice. The food was amazing! No mistakes, nothing missing and all really happy with our meals. The staff are very welcoming and polite. Great time had by all. Thank you. P.S the food on the menu is actually the food they serve not just a google picture.

Tried the food for the first time. Went with some neighbours. We had the Xmas menu. Got a free bottle of prosecco. The cauliflower wings were super. My steak I asked for rare it was cooked perfectly. We all enjoyed our food. Service was great from Grace and Emily. The wine was lovely. Well done we'll be back

Asked for a well done steak....had to send it back twice as it was bleeding on the plate. When we finally got what we ordered the staff began shouting across the bar to see if other customers were happy with their meals. The staff seem happy to belittle paying customers. Not a great experience and would not recommend to anyone. Reading through the comments this place seems very much a hit or miss kind of affair.

May have had abit of a refurbishment but still the same old stuff. Went today for food, no house wine at all apparently 🙃 no coffee at the moment with no explanation and then ordered the food...no gammon, waiting on a delivery !! The food came and the chips were the cheap crinkle cut ones you can buy from the local shop. Will NOT be visiting again 👎👎👎

Honestly, the food was terrible. Cheese sandwich was dry grated cheese on stale bread. The apple pie was the reason one star as I couldn't give no stars. However, the folk that work there were lovely and allowed us to sit in the quieter room that they were getting ready for Santa I'm sure that they must have a speciality, but it's not a sandwich.

Crusader has just had a refresh, not bad, nothing special. Bit of a wait to be served by the friendly bar lady who was in the other room. Not a good choice of real ales nor any guest Beers that I noticed. I drank a pint of bitter that was far too cold and not very pleasant, maybe the lagers are perfect? Not much of an atmosphere, or cosiness, I didn't feel relaxed. A couple at the next table had ordered food which looked quite good. Some kids that seemed to belong here roamed about who came and went, I saw staff pick one up, she seemed to work here? A big screen TV had football on but no sound, it was pre kick off and world cup waffle. I'll go again and try the other room, maybe later next time in the evening, not so tea timeish. I really hope the Crusader can make a go of it and keep out those that spoil estate pubs, so it can be friendly local again, with visitors popping in. Would I recommend the new Crusader for a drink and eat? Not yet, It's too soon, and more work is required for it to settle down and become a good pub. I wish the new manager all the best, I hope it grows and attracts customers, I'm skeptical that it will, whilst hoping I'm wrong. Ps the chef who passed at the back of was a friendly chap ;-)

Unreal refurb! Staff are super nice and my food was so quick!! I had a steak.. cheap price but it was absolutely unreal! Cannot recommend enough. Will be 100% going more often

Pub restaurant has had a refit in autumn 2022 and looks lovely. Food was fab had pizza and a burger. Desserts were amazing and so tasty.

A relaxed placed large outdoor area friendly staff a good choice menu worth a visit

Says "all day dine in" but not serving food until 20th February. Weird vibe too and the place smells. Very brief visit.

£3.90 a pint i think its an 80s themed pub. Oh wait a minute its just still got the same wallpaper on the walls from when it was built . Ripped chairs toilet sinks .

Got signs up all over the place saying they serve food week days when they are not serving. Took them about 10 minutes to stop having a chin wag in the back to serve customers. The menus was covered in slimey stuff (possibly food or kids spit) I was relieved when the Mrs came bk from the bar and said they not serving food today.

I love the Crusader it's a great local pub and I've been going here with family since the very early age of 9! (nearly 20 years). Its changed a lot throughout the years and I'm told it will have another refit soon. Most of the regulars here are very welcoming and the staff are all really nice. On Fridays a local Chinese takeaway takes over the kitchen so you can have Chinese in the pub or take it home (after a pint or two of course). The pub itself could use a bit of sprucing up, but that should all improve during the upcoming refit.

It's okay at the moment. It will be getting a refit soon which should make it better.

Excellent value, 2 course for £4.95. Plus bingo on Tues/Thursday. What's not to like 😊

Absolutely horrendous food. Burger felt like it was microwaved. The burger tasted like plastic. The fish and chips tasted like they were no seasoned. The glasses were absolutely disgusting marks all over them. Flys coming over the food so we had to move. The sauce was horrible. The only good thing was the drinks that we bought. Honestly never coming here again!!

Nice quiet atmosphere and the food came to us quickly and was really hot food also tasted very good really good value for money as well

Pool table was good. Pint cost a pretty penny. People seemed nice.

Friendly staff and delicious food at a good price. Only problem this last time was that I had to ask for the pudding after waiting ages, then was given the wrong pud.

Nice local pub, wasn't busy when we went in so was able to get a table no problem. Had some food, your typical pub grub but it was nice nad not overpriced. All in all an nice place to have a quick drin and maybe some food.

Apart from the man behind the bar with glasses who was completely apologetic the rest of the meal wasn't great ! No fish , no fish gujons, and no filtered coke. Lipstick on the glass , portion of hunters chicken for an adult was tiny . The mix grill came with a tomato on the steak and all the juice was over it and my partner is allergic to tomato. Wouldn't mind but it doesn't even say it comes with a tomato! The chocolate fudge cake was dried up and so sicky sweet. Sorry.... I never normally moan about restaurants but the crusader is really bad !!!
