The best restaurants in South West

We’ve been meaning to visit KYOWA for years, since they first opened, and finally did last night. It was so worth the wait! The food was spectacular, the service was impeccable and the place had a lovely vibe. We didn’t book, but they were happy to give us a time to come back and we had a drink at the pub next door. Everyone we spoke to, including the chef who is making and plating up food out the front, was so warm and friendly. Can’t wait for our next visit! Thank you 💜

We absolutely loved our breakfast here. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Lots of choice and was prepared fresh and fast. We both had a flatbread with different toppings and the hash brown bites. All really delicious. Will definitely be retuning.

Superb food, service and wine. With Four friends- two meat, two vegetarian. We went for the chef's menu. Every dish was well balanced, superbly presented and served and tasted great. Wine selection great and added to a top quality experience.

Totally wonderful evening. The food was absolutely gorgeous - my birthday meal, hubby and I both had the fillet steak with med vegetables and the most delicious red wine jus, a fab bottle of wine and the service especially by Immie was perfect. Thank you

I was taken by a friend for some healthy nutritious colourful food. His words. I was blown away by the speedy service, quality of food and Shads very warm welcome. Honestly, I will not go anywhere else with a similar menu when in that side of Bristol. I have had a wrap from there two days running now. Coming from a tree surgeon whom is always hungry, I actually came away content, happy, my body singing thanks to the goodness I had just given it. I recommend you visit Shad if you are in or around the centre of Bristol. You will not regret a thing! The restaurant feels very homely too. Thank you Shad, see you soon

Prior to holidaying in Weston Super-mare, I looked for the popular places to visit, and this was one of them. I had a banana, chocolate & vanilla whippy and my husband had coconut ice cream - both doubles and both delicious - they were MASSIVE! Recommend you visit here as soon as you arrive because you’ll want to go back again and again!

I stayed at the Old Mill House and the whole experience was 5 🌟. The breakfast choices were delicious and locally sourced . The most perfect scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Dinner was amazing, again local produce cooked to perfection. I had Scallops and then Hake followed by the best tia Maria liquor coffee (no canned whipped cream here, hand whipped) Would also recommend the local beer, pink cider, and wine from Padstow. Service and atmosphere were great and nothing was too much trouble. I felt comfortable eating alone. Would highly recommend.

An enjoyable fairly standard pub supper. Friendly owner and staff, nice country pub atmosphere. Tasty food, good range on menu, decent beer.

A lovely little tea room in the heart of Porlock . Very quaint with lovely food . We loved the homemade soup & the tea service. The proprietor makes everything on site & it's so English an absolute delight. In our opinion they do need a helping hand on busy times as we did wait quite a long time for service. A little background music would be nice as with many tables close together we felt we had to whisper. We really like it here although sadly it was way too expensive for us to return 😭

Visited after spotting someone eating one of the bao whilst we were in Lyme! Absolutely delicious- fresh, vibrant flavours and generous serving of meat in each bao. I had the rice chicken satay box and it was great- super portion and so fresh! The chilli crisp was unreal. My daughter had the kids rice box and great size portion and she loved it- 3 sizeable pieces of pork belly, rice and carrot/cucumber so ideal for kids who are interested in eating good food! Not cheap but VERY reasonable for the quality and esp considering there is a cafe directly opposite Red Panda which charges £12 for a jacket potato!!! Go to Red Panda, order 1 of everything then sit on the benches outside and enjoy the view and the grub- totally worth it.

We booked a table for a large family gathering. Service was spot on, efficient and friendly. Food was fantastic. Lots of veggie options and sensible prices. Good coffee. Overall, great experience.
