This place was absolutely amazing! The service was perfect with really really friendly staff and the food came out really quickly. Rudy was adorable and came to check on all the tables and subsequently get some attention and petting. I couldn't fault this place as the food was beautiful with probably the best falafel we've ever had! You will definitely not leave this place hungry as the portions are very hearty but they are always happy to wrap things up for you take home too! Amazing food for a really good price with fantastic service too, thank you so much for having us, we will be back soon :)

This is such a lovely place! Not only the food was delicious (easily one of the best falafels I've ever had) but also staff here is wonderful. I forgot to mention that I couldn't eat bread while I was waiting for my food, and they gave me another portion of filling so I wouldn't miss out! This was truly an unforgettable visit, I felt very welcomed here. I'll definitely go back, thank you! :)

Fave spot to grab a delicious (and cheap) falafel wrap! It's always a treat. Usually I've only the time to take it away to munch later but having now dined in I have yet another reason to higly recommend it! Because it was great.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is excellently prepared and the portions are huge. I had a large Falafel and Halloumi wrap and my wife and son both had the Meze. It’s not a fancy restaurant but the food as good as you will get anywhere. Loved it and we will definitely be back soon. The staff were very friendly too. This place is as good as it gets imho.

Run by truly amazing people, where ethics come first. The menu is simple (in a good way), the food is tasty (and cruelty free) and the portions are very generous and priced well. I will be definitely coming here more often to indulge myself in plant based cuisine.

I have never liked falafel, hard and dry balls of no flavour, BUT, these were absolutely amazing light, soft, flavoursome, a great colour inside and a light crispy exterior. If only others could make them like it. Service was delightful, and the quantities huge. The dolmades were warm and delicious too.

Attended the Jerusalem falafel baba ganoush kitchen yesterday to carry out some works for them , Up on arrival greeted by 2 of the loveliest people I’ve met ! Spent most of the morning chatting ! As I attempted to go to my van to get my lunch I was told oh no you must let us feed you ( on the house ) And so I was presented with the most delicious , tastiest most flavoursome falafel wrap packed full of amazing flavours and soooo much healthy goodness !!! It has reignited my desire to eat wonderful clean healthy foods ! And what a lovely experience when you visit as these lovely people make you feel like you aren’t attending their place of business , you feel like you’ve been welcomed into their home and cooked the most heartwarming delicious food you could think of ! And as if that wasn’t enough , on my way out the door I was given another wrap which I shall be devouring for my lunch today ! Amazing people Amazing vibes Amazing food ! Thankyou !

The other reviews don’t lie … the falafel, baba ganoush, mezze and Middle Eastern fresh lemonade were all fresh and ‘oh so tasty’. 

 The portions (wraps) are super generous, so if you have a small appetite, even the small wraps may be too big. The owners are super friendly - and are happy to provide extra wrapping to take home anything you may not manage. 

 We were a party of 7, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted as if we were friends. The owners are so lovely and have an amazing story of what they have done. I won’t spoilt it, so do ask - just beautiful humans!

 And if that wasn’t enough … if you like dogs, you can’t help but be amused by Rudy (and his clear love of haloumi cheese 🥰. Surrounding neighbourhood may feel intimidating to some - we visited in the day, and it was fine.

I'm always sceptical of the reviews on Tripadvisor but these are spot on. The food is excellent and the staff are super friendly. I've been across the Middle East quite a bit and the falafel here is as good as it gets. As the reviews say, staff are extra kind. On leaving I asked about some deserts and I was given one to take with me. They also helped out a homeless guy. Will be back soon.

Having read reviews I wanted to try this out. Arrived just as they opened, we were greeted as friends, made so welcome and given sample falafel to try. Lovely friendly place, would highly recommend, we had a wrap each, one falafel with halloumi one with spicy potatoes, was packed full of salad and herbs. Had as take away and think would be even better if eaten hot. Was a real delight to find this lovely cafe, the young lady who served us very friendly and talked about the area pointing us in the direction of the street art I was interested in. Would say to anyone in the area to go and try this wonderful food.

Both a reminiscence and a review, I’m going to compare this place with somewhere that was less than a mile away, long gone and much missed… they shared the same vibe, occupy the same sort of place in my mind and in some ways are very similar. So first off, how to describe baba ganoush kitchen, which for the sake of my typing fingers, I'll call BGK? I see it as a community-centred, vegetarian café, with a modest-but-select menu, chosen from what I know as the Levantine cuisine tradition. And so, how exactly does it remind me of The Other? First of all, there's their location. BGK occupies a corner site in a mainly residential area, hard up by a major transport artery, the M32. The Other, a few hundred yards away, was the same, close to the railway line north out of Temple Meads. Both have queues at prime time, for folks happy to wait for excellent quality, freshly made favourites. Both have the same division of labour - the master of his trade working hard at back, to create the house speciality, both have cheerful and positive individuals at front-of-house. Both focus on choices I would describe as 'hard to find but worth the effort'. Levantine cuisine has some of my favourite things to eat. (For example, I must have consumed bucket loads of humus over the years…) BGK provides top quality, freshly made falafel. Falafel are one of those staples that absolutely has to be freshly fried to enjoy them at their best and that's what you get here. It was the same at The Other. You queued to get your shawarma freshly grilled, cut and assembled into its pitta pouch along with fresh chopped salad, tahini-based sauce and your pickled pepper - you waited but you never minded the wait! BGK's famous freshly prepped falafel are the key to their success. Soft & claggy pre-made, factory processed 'falafel' bears no resemblance to the Real Thing, which from BGK are crisp, crunchy, satisfying and filling, presented along with salad, chopped pickles all in a fresh soft wrap, making for an excellent & portable, value-for-money midday meal. And if the falafel on their own aren't quite enough, just ask for an extra of haloumi for a wrap of elevated excellence! Take a glass of mixed orange, mango, lemon, ginger and apple juice while you wait. You can virtually hear your tummy singing, 'thank-you so much - this tasty food is doing us good!' So we know from George Harrison, the famous Beatle, that All Things Must Pass - thus The Other closed down several years ago. The very different #12 opened on the same site and is doing very well. And Ken, his missus and those King Kebabs are still talked about with reverance. I'm sure BGK is thought of in the same sort of way in the community on the other side of the great M32 divide! The overarching theme is the same - freshly made, good quality, filing food at affordable prices. I wish the guys at BGK all the very best and hope they continue successfully & happily for ages and ages

What a place...I am of Mediterranean origin but this is simply the best falafel I have tried. Very good prices, warm and friendly people, and a laid back place make this experience unique. What's not to like? Either you go there for your lunch break, or as part of your Bristol tour, this place is highly recommended!

The BEST falafel in Bristol (and I’ve eaten a few) Dale was so welcoming and Shad make a fresh batch of falafel for my coeliac husband. We had the meze for one (between the two of us) which was stunning. Fluffy falafel, salad, babaganoush, stuffed vine leaves (delicious) and flatbread. Enough left to take some home. Washed down with fresh mint tea and freshly squeezed juice. The BEST!
