What a wonderful place! We were staying in the area and came here twice. The weather was pretty dreadful but as soon as you walked through the door it was such a warm welcoming interior and the lady who I believe owns it was just so lovely, friendly and very welcoming to two wet walkers and our dog. The coffee was excellent and our dog even got treated to dog biscuits. We shall definitely return... Xx

Exceptional meal and service - would definitely go again - made our weekend away special. Incidentally the menu champagne was excellent quality at £40 - so good we had to have twice! Great advise on transport when booking too.

Came here for their well known huge cream teas!. The scones are home made and are huge! the pot of cream and jam is massive too. One of their cream teas would easily do 2 people. The only thing that lets this place down is one of the waitresses, older lady and quite miserable looking. Quite grumpy never smiles and seems to not want to be there. A smile goes a long long way, nonetheless forget this and have the cream tea, its is legendary and very reasonable too. The Latte is the best I have tasted, even better than Costa! Lunches are lovely too. Tiny little cafe but a lovely location.

Excellent cafe for a lovely breakfast sandwich. Hot chocolate with oats milk and coffee for my other half. Really friendly and welcoming will certainly call here again when in Bideford.

Prior to holidaying in Weston Super-mare, I looked for the popular places to visit, and this was one of them. I had a banana, chocolate & vanilla whippy and my husband had coconut ice cream - both doubles and both delicious - they were MASSIVE! Recommend you visit here as soon as you arrive because you’ll want to go back again and again!

Sunday lunch for a meat eater and a veggie. Absolutely bloody fantastic. We haven’t had a better Sunday roast, ever. Total credit to this place for the food, service, atmosphere, decor and location. But the food… we will be talking and raving about this place for a long time. Bravo.

We visited for Sunday lunch and the whole experience was excellent! The food was beautiful and just how you’d want your roast. Crispy potatoes, delicious rare beef, gorgeous crackling, succulent pork, awesome cheesy leeks, tender lamb, super tasty gravy (and lots of it)…the list goes on! Desserts were really impressive too-the sticky toffee pudding was immense, as was the gluten-free syrup sponge, although top billing went to the chocolate brownies as voted for by our three young boys. Top notch service from everyone and a really warm welcome-a brilliant lunch!

An excellent and nourishing home made soup, generous portion included a large chunk of nice rustic bread and butter, had set me up on several visits here. Also, real local Miles loose leaf tea sourced from the Miles Tea distribution centre across the road, worth a visit. My fold up walker was easily accommodated, and I noticed it was a dog friendly place. Been here a number of times and the quality and friendly service make me want to return. Thank you for not playing 'demolition music' but instead a calm and muted background of Classic FM Radio.

Another superb meal at Asquiths - wonderful from start to finish. The plum tarte tatin with rosemary ice cream was inspired! We are very lucky to have this first class restaurant in Lostwithiel! Thank you from Mike & Lisa

So sad to hear that our favourite tea rooms has closed. Thank you to Suzy, Dave, Ryan and Teresa for being so friendly and welcoming to our family over the past few years. As mentioned by others your scones were simply the best and all food, cakes and drinks so lovingly prepared. We were so glad to have been able to make one last visit during October. There was nowhere else we would have made a 180 mile round trip to visit for sure. Wishing you all the very best for the future.
