we had an excellent breakfast at mrs g,s i met her & she is lovely.you could,nt fault the food.the place was packed out.anybody who wants a breakfast go here .you will not be disapointed i can assure you.

This is just the perfect place to cure your woes. The food is simple but well cooked and well presented. The service is friendly, welcoming, and efficient and the prices are great value. And they not only welcome dogs, they love to see them there. Just the perfect cafe!!

Bargain!! Best breakfast you will find at very reasonable prices, everyone makes you feel welcome even if you are a new customer like we were. Highly recommended.

Disappointing breakfast. Ordered a large takeaway only to find no hash browns, egg hardly cooked. Was told it’s an extra 50p to change the fried bread to toast.

Great homemade good on offer and a decent cooked breakfast. Lovely staff. Lots of interesting stuff on the specials board like French onion soup and chilli with rice, slow cooked beef with red wine etc

Worst breakfast roll I've ever seen. A 1/3rd of a rasher of bacon, yesterday's over fried sausages and a roll smaller than a human fist. £4.20 Cheap low quality ingredients at a overinflated price. Will not return for food again

This place is an absolute gem, just what a cafe should be. No fuss or frills, just friendly service and classic food. We discovered it by chance and almost drove straight past it but the cars parked outside on a Sunday were a good omen which was confirmed when we entered. The staff were extremely affable and efficient, and they were very doggy friendly.

This breakfast was amazing, Eggs 🍳cooked to perfection, bacon 🥓 cooked just right. What am saying the whole breakfast was truly the best ever. The staff were lovely, we weren't waiting long. Thank you so much 💗

My word, what an amazing place. The menu choice is extensive for breakfast and lunch, though my daughter had a chicken new yorker for breakfast!! Happy staff eager to please and offer menu tweeks. The value and portion size was epic!! Can't wait to come back, but won't be needing food for a long while today!!!

So the bacon sandwiches were very nice but having ordered 4 at a cost of £12 had take them away to eat and wait outside in the cold with my kids who were very cold. A wait of also over 15minutes. The point is if I ordered a small cooked breakfast on my own I could sit inside for just £5. The excuse was “we get very busy”, there were 2 people in there at the time! The thing is we walk by the cafe often and alway thought we would give it a try - well no repeat business from me and if we had been allowed to stay in we would of had drinks as well. In the end we went to Coffee #1 in the high street and had a very nice drink each and could sit in the warm! So be warned nice food, you have to wait and if it’s a sandwich it’s an automatic takeaway!

Was looking for somewhere to get a proper English breakfast, other than a supermarket cafe. Looking on my TripAdvisor bible, I came across Mrs G's in Chipping Sodbury. Reviews seemed very good and we were not disappointed. Mix of locals and workmen when we popped in. Very busy, which is always a good sign. We both had the standard breakfast, I had black pudding as an extra on mine. Very well cooked brekkie and not swimming in fat. If you Don't have a big appetite, they do a smaller version, or if very hungry, you can have the larger version with chips. Staff very polite and welcoming. Will definitely become a regular at this gem of a cafe.

I called in for lunch today and ordered an all day breakfast. It was well cooked and covered the plate and came with bread and butter too ...all for six quid. Thank-you.

I was holding a team meeting on Thursday so I ask Mrs G to cater for us and she was more than happy to delivery. We received 9 fantastic fry ups(still hot) bang on time like promised. My team all enjoyed the treat and we will do it again in the future! Thank you Mrs G and the team

My son and his girlfriend took us for brunch, and the menu was great, everything from simple toast through to massive all day breakfast, casseroles and filled rolls.The servings were massive, cooked quickly and served piping hot. With more than value drinks prices this has to be the place to visit in Chipping Sodbury to chase away the mid-winter hunger blues.

Mrs G's serves the best breakfast for miles around.We've tried many others over the years but this place blows them all clean out of the water.The standard breakfast on offer here is still bigger than most places laughingly call 'Large' I might add that the food quality is also way better than most and at last... a place than can fry an egg instead of the overcooked rubber on offer at most pub chains.Its also a delight to be served with a proper big mug of tea that you can make as strong or weak as you like by adding milk to your own taste. All in all, a hidden gem of a place and well worth a visit.

Love a decent sized breakfast, and visiting this place is 100% what you get. The food is very yummy, & the staff are very friendly.

It’s always a pleasure to walk into Mrs G’s and receive the friendly welcome as soon as one enters. The staff are very friendly and really go out of their way to make your visit as enjoyable as is possible.

Visited for breakfast with a friend and our one year olds. Lovely fry up! Really tasty and massive! Also massively impressed by the immaculately cleaned high chairs! Lovely friendly and welcoming staff. Will be going back for sure.

No way could I attempt the big breakfast. The breakfast is brilliant but make sure you are hungry and fresh cooked for you . What more do you want when your hungry lush.

Been to Mrs Gs a few times now and last time last year before heading to Dorset for a wedding! Had a standard breakfast with black pudding which was very tasty. All the food is cooked fresh and a very friendly place to eat! Look forward to going back soon for a treat!!

Finally managed to get to Mrs G’s today after months of trying to persuade my husband, having seen friends say how good it was. We were not disappointed. Both went for a standard breakfast and were able to swap out the stuff we didn’t like for something we did (does anyone really like tomatoes? ) joined it with a lovely big mug of tea, and now can’t move we’re so full. Everything cooked to perfection, eggs just right, fried bread crispy but not overdone, crispy bacon, tasty sausages....I can’t rate it highly enough. We’ve agreed this will become a regular weekend treat, and having got home I’ve just realised it’s dog friendly (none when we were there) so the monsters might get to go next time . Thank you Mrs G, we will be back for more of your good value, great tasting brekkie.

A good traditional cafe. Fab for breakfast and great value. We had the large full English . Cooked to order and only £5.50.

I have been here quite regularly for the last year and not once have I been disappointed. The food is always great a and the staff are really friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are amazingly good but they do loads of other meals and have great specials. I can’t recommend this place enough. Fab food and good prices!

Only leaving a review because I disagree with this cafe's overall rating so much. Full disclosure, my visit was several months ago. Frequent breakfast-er, attracted by the amazing tripadvisor review Mrs G's had and still has.

A good mug of tea and "standard" breakfast was very good and great value for money. Friendly staff. The food was all cooked to order and was very tasty. I've marked it as "cheap eats" but that doesn't do it justice as it's really great value for money.

Return visit to Mrs G's always try and call in when we are in the area, the breakfasts are out of this world and we always get a warm and friendly welcome from the staff. Prices are very competitive and the premises are spotless. Keep up the great work Mrs G!

Took my two grumpy teenagers to Mrs Gs for end of half term treat. Son decided to go for the chicken New yorker and he can eat a fair bit but the quatity and quality beat him lol. My daughter is the opposite and eats like a mouse but was good that she could choose what she wanted without no fuss. Staff are always polite and the service is quick. It was the kids choice to go here and they always say they like the atmosphere. Bonus for me they havent moaned that they are hungry throughout the day . Thanks Mrs G.

Called in with my wife for lunch. Both decided to have one of the specials. Chose a spaghetti bol. and a chicken curry. Couldn't fault the food both had a great home made taste. Definitely worth the visit.

I recently popped to Mrs G's for a late breakfast/brunch, with my family, the food was fantastic, my 20 year old 6ft 4 son with hollow legs, had the large breakfast and it was plenty enough to fill his boots. My daddy daughter was catered for perfectly too. The menu is varied and of the utmost excellent quality. I am so impressed with Mrs G's, I guarantee you will love the food, the quality, the friendliness, the variety, the cost of this family run cafe. A******************* Mrs G

I come here as often as I can, sadly I live the other side of Yate so not quite as much as I would like. Always friendly staff, food is the best in the area for the value and quality in my opinion. Honestly can't fault it, their fry ups are everything I want a fry up to be. Thank you Mrs G!

Stopped in today after a bit of shopping in yate , absolutely starving and did not leave disappointed, the "regular breakfast" was anything but regular, perfect sized portion to leave full and all the ingredients were not your standard cafe shrunken bacon and watery sausages , everything had clearly been tried , tested and perfected. Again Mrs G's have not failed us and this time took my in laws for breakfast as it was father in laws birthday ( wont give away age but in his 80s) and they were impressed with service and are even talking about booking a large table booking in very near future. This cafe caters for all ages, great tasting food and location is good. Thanks Mrs G's for lovely breakfast

Stopped in this morning on the way to work, ordered some sandwiches to take away, fast service and well worth the extra five minutes in the morning it takes to get you through to lunch. Keeps getting better!!

Sadly my experience was poor! I’ve complained to family and friends already to learn that the owner/cook is on holiday. I would suggest on their next Holliday, they shut up shop rather than leave it to whoever was there today! I complained that the bacon was not freshly cooked as that was the most obvious complaint, to be told it was. I said that has never just been coked, it’s rock hard, to which she repwell it was pre-cooked!

Came to this lovely town for the first time this weekend and a friend recommended Mrs. Gs.....Best recommendation ever!!!! Great food and really friendly place....hope to visit again soon x

Told my wife we were doing a 5 Star lunch on Saturday. Arrived at Mrs G on the industrial estate, and she looked at me a bit odd.

Six of us visited for a Saturday breakfast to set us up for a day of walking. Mrs G was very welcoming and the cafe is very clean. There was a good choice on the menu and the food was hot and well presented on hot plates. Our friends who are regular breakfasters were very impressed. We'll be back again. Thanks Mrs G.

Felt welcome as soon as we walked in. Mrs G served us and suggested we try the slushie to aid our recovery from a few too many pints the evening before. We passed on the sugar rush and ordered a couple of fry ups and a sausage, bacon and egg baguette and a couple of Teas and a coffee. Add your own sugar and milk at the counter.

Excellent again. Freshly cooked, good atmosphere, family friendly. Starts Sunday off with a full belly

Usually come here for breakfast which is best around. Came for lunch with older friends and they both had the home made liver and bacon which was delicious. I had the home made chicken curry which was packed with flavour. Will be back to try more of her home made specials v soon.

Very friendly staff serving freshly made to order food in a kitchen that is open for everyone to see so you can see it’s all freshly prepared and not reheated. I use mrs G’s most weekend either on my own or with my children. Fantastic food and good value for money.

I visit Mrs Gs most weekends with my partner and we are always greeted with a friendly smile. The food is always served within a more than acceptable time and always tastes great !! You can see straight through to the kitchen area so you know the food is always cooked fresh. The menu has a wide selection of sandwiches, burgers, lighter bites and of course the full English avaliable in 3 sizes with many optional extras

I should have said best fry up in Great Britain. I only had better breakfast, not fry up tho in Florida. The food is freshly made and amazing. We have tried pretty much everything on the breakfast menu, but can build your own breakfast if you wish. Their French onion soup with grilled cheese is to die for. Unfortunately we always go around breakfast time but I want to try their slow cooked beef once. We bought a carrot cake today, which is also home made and delicious. Highly recommended

My husband and son go to Mrs G 's on a regular basis and Have always raved about the breakfast. I invited myself along today and now I wish I had visited sooner. The best breakfast I have had in years. I am fussy when it comes to quality on sausages and can't stand pale, fatty bacon, but this was all cooked perfectly and to a very good standard. The price was good too for the amount you get. I will definitely be going again soon.

I normally go and collect a breakfast for my family on a Saturday once or twice in a month. We also bring friends to the café when they come and stay with us.

Can’t fault the breakfast or the service! Large means large! Quite easily the best breakfast we’ve had, will definitely be returning. Friendly service, didn’t mind us coming in too late in the day! Dinner is off the menu tonight, totally stuffed!

Visited today with my husband and baby, delicious food, massive portions (eyes bigger than my belly!). Also noticed there were high chairs and booster seats for kids which is always handy. All the staff were extremely friendly. Did get quite busy - a testament to the food! We will be back very soon and highly recommend if you like a traditional greasy spoon cafe!

I’m a big fan of honest cafes serving value fry ups and I know quite a few gems up and down the country that I visit when I travel. Mrs G’s is without doubt the best of the lot. I live half a mile away and visit most weeks, and would probably do the same if it was 20 miles away. The food is top quality (ignore the previous reviewer who clearly had an agenda), the portions are huge, meals are always served piping hot, and the service is welcoming, friendly and professional. I can’t recommend this place enough, 5 out of 5 doesn’t do it justice!

We pop in here most Saturdays mornings after the shopping run. Last week we tried the breakfast burger with chips which was spot on. This week we normally have the standard breakfast with a cup of tea which is always warm and freshly cooked. Staff are always helpful and Mrs G off course.

Popped in a few days ago for lunch with work and normally would go for a breakfast but went for the French onion soup for a change and I highly recommend, it came with a grilled cheese sandwich which was perfect. I'll be stuck next time on what to order, soup or breakfast! Only down side would be it seems the fit waitress doesn't work there anymore!! All the other staff are lovely and smiley though! Definitely worth going!

Cheap tasting food, especially the sausages and coffee. The breakfast order was wrong and customer service lacking . It was colder inside then it was outside!

This highly recommended cafe is a short walk from the High Street and on an industrial estate where parking spaces can be hard to find. The cafe was packed with workers and there was a good selection of meals to choose from. The serving area is big, there was plenty of staff and you can see your meal being cooked. My meal was £6.70 which is not as cheap as at other cafes, but it was plentiful and the coffee tasted good.A small moan, but perhaps fresh tomatoes should be served and a better quality sausage.
