Boston Tea Party Cheswick Village in South Gloucestershire

Good coffee, dog friendly. The cauliflower shawarma was unfortunately inedible (I've never spat out food in a napkin before in public, unbearably salty and powdery!) and the waitress did not question why I was handing back a half eaten plate of food so missed a chance to make up for this.

I come here often and realised I never leave a review, after yesterday’s brunch I felt compelled. Staff are lovely, they always have good energy and look very welcoming. Service is great, they always are ready to alter the food and make it exactly how you want it without being rude. The food was okay! I had a breakfast meal, the beans were definitely sat there for a while and the portion was very small for the price, I couldn’t even use it to eat my whole meal but it had some good flavour. I almost thought it would have been microwaved if I’m being completely honest. I was a little disappointed in the spinach as it was over salted, but other than that my dish was satisfactory. I would have ordered and asked for extra beans if I knew but oh well. The blueberry porridge (although I haven’t been able to have it for a while for some reason) is my favourite thing on the menus, and the sausage baps are very good. I love the portion of salmon that comes with the avocado and eggs as well. I would come here again and I will. It’s a good vibe and brunch place to go with friends and family for a casual meal.

Boston tea party had such an amazing atmosphere! All the staff were so friendly and helpful, it made me now call this my favourite local cafe, for catch up, work and for an amazing coffee. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a new cafe spot with great service.

Boston Tea Party on Park Street was always brilliant decades ago when I used to go but the newer big ones are really overpriced for cheap standard, slightly cold food. I wonder if they pay their staff poorly too. The space is nice but other than that not worth it. Won’t be back.

amazing service and atmosphere but the food was another story. I've eaten at other btp locations and have never had an issue but the eggs in my eggs royale were hard boiled and my hashbrowns were almost cold. In a cheaper cafe I wouldn't complain but when you're spending that much you expect it to be done right.

Can’t go wrong with BTP - quick and easy ordering through QR codes and food was nice, I’d recommend the filled croissant. Parking outside is very limited and has a 2 hour limit is the only downside.

Brilliant food. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my wife ordered the new cauliflower flatbread and it was delicious. Simon swiftly brought our food with a great smile and Daron brought our drinks with great enthusiasm. Please give them our gratitude. Will definitely be returning to try more items.

Service is always fast, even when they're busy. I was served by Simon today and he was super attentive- let me know of the new menu items and check that everything was good with my food. Staff are always friendly and happy to have your student workers sit in and crack on.

Mate where do I start? The coffee. LIP SMACKING BLACK NECTAR. The breakfast - it's alright. I've been coming here so long I have blocked arteries from eating piles of hash browns. Always LOADS of brown sauce. I slurped through 9 ramekins of brown sauce. You can just wave the staff over for more brown sauce. Simply ask, more brown sauce please. As someone who tends to get brown sauce everywhere, I love how impeccably clean my table was. I had to apologise for getting brown sauce everywhere. Sorry. Usually after eating so many hash browns, I have to use the lav, which is also very clean. Strong flush. Great lighting in there too. I cant wrap my head around how many windows this place has. Great lighting. Perfect for golden hour selfies. Cheers.

Came in for brunch in and the staff was quite welcoming especially the atmosphere inside is amazing , a good vibe reasonable price , no complain what so ever , the chap who served us was Simon . He was excellent on his service looked after us and checked up about the food and drinks we ordered. If there’s any way y'all can give him a appreciation from us would be grateful :)

Really appreciated the chef coming to chat about my rapeseed oil intolerance and go above and beyond to facilitate a cooked breakfast given this. Excellent customer concern and great breakfast.

Love coming here, the mochas are the best I've tasted in Bristol and the space feels so comfortable, whether I'm working on the sofa or just coming in for a takeaway, the staff always make me feel welcome!

Used a couple of times over the last few weeks, food is delivered quickly and service is pretty standard. It's a big space but it suffers from being close to university and it's full of people working which means getting a table can be a challenge. It's a little pricey but food has been good on both occasions.

Updated review, 2025. This place used to have a good balance of cost to quality, siding slightly more on the expensive side but worthwhile. Coffee remains very nice, although portion size is rather small. Food, overpriced for what you get, after we went there today for a £15 Boss Breakfast & £12 The Breakfast we both looked at our plates with disappointment, quality was 'ok' but we've had MUCH better for the same price or less, only positive we could say is it's diet friendly, the pounds lost from your pocket will also be lost from your waist line. Service - absolutely abysmal, zero effort, multiple staff breezing around in there own time, friend got his breakfast & I had to wait another 7 minutes for mine which had been sitting in the plate warmer for the entire time, a casual "oh sorry" as he dropped the plate on my table and disappeared, had a fork with no knife. Atmosphere, it's still functional but feels like it's aged and doesn't feel like the same type of place that it did 6 years ago when I originally reviewed by any means. Also - Guest WiFi on my visit didn't work, I had to turn off WiFi to order our food. Original Review: Excellent place, certainly one of the better local coffee shops & focus on fair trade/eco friendly products etc the food isnt paticularly cheap but its certainly better quality than anything you would pick up at other larger more established coffee shops.

As a regular weekend customer, I always feel welcomed here. Everything is truly fantastic, and it’s clear that it’s run by caring management. It really feels like a family-friendly restaurant where I can enjoy meals with friends. I’ve noticed how busy lunch gets, but that only speaks to the love and support this place has from its community. It’s heartwarming to see that so many people appreciate it as much as I do. 😎🤓

Had the veggie burger and chai latte FOOD: 4.4/5 Burger was great, good tasting veggie patty, was a little too much lettuce and vegan cheese looked unappealing. I think the burger sauce and gherkins were the saving grace for this burger. Chai latte was very good 👍 Pricing was a bit expensive for amount of food. SERVICE: 4.9/5 Was fast and welcoming. Very good 👍 ATMOSPHERE: 4.4/5 Nice exterior and interior, however was relatively messy / dirty.

After a walk around Purdown, Cheswick Village is a welcome stop to refuel for the walk home. The food and drink was delicious and friendly service, for our family of 5.

Our waitress Kat was so lovely always there whenever we needed something and the food was outstanding i ordered a boss breakfast and it was spot on couldn’t complain about a single thing. Also the coffee was so lovely not too bitter or too sweet and the art really added to it 10/10 will be returning.

First time I have visited this location, my normal BTP is the Glos Road location. I found this location to be light, bright and big. A perfect location to spend a few hours working. Got busy at lunchtime but due to size of premises it dod not feel crowded. Food was as expected, tasty and good quality produce. Coffee delicious as normal. The staff were great also, all very warm and efficient. Will be back regularly!

Diego was super friendly & welcoming. He offered a bowl of water & biscuits for our dog & gave her lots of cuddles. Fab food as always - we’ll be back!

Decided to try Boston Tea Party today as the big breakfast caught my eye. Amazing food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly too. Diogo was a great help when ordering and just made it a pleasant experience.

By far the best BTP in Bristol. First of all, I love the fact that free parking is an option here. The food is always 10/10! And the service even better! The food and staff were great, we had Diogo who helped me choose the best thing to eat. My only sad point was that the milkshake wasn't very thick.

Just don't go on a Saturday morning and when you are hungry! You walk up and pay 1.20£ for small cup of baked beans as extra and it won't come till you give up or finish your toast. All it takes is, find a small bowl and put a scoop of beans in. And bring it to the table. Even a mouse can do it in 2 minutes!

Diogo our host was amazing, there was 12 of us and he lept into action to clear a table and get us all sat together! Attentive throughout. Food was all delicious and we had a bit of everything. Drinks were delicious also! Great range of things and beautifully done. Told the food might take up to 30mins but we all served at the same time and quicker than expected! Defo be going back :)

We had such a great breakfast here. We turned up with a baby and a muddy dog and Diego could not have made us feel more welcome. Service was so friendly. Wish we were local as we would be here every week.

Great coffee, yummy food, bright space and dog friendly, but most of all the staff are super lovely, always bringing good energy and looking after everyone. Elliot especially brightens the day, checking everyone is happy and got what they need. Would definitely recommend.

A bright and airy cafe/bistro, very helpful and friendly staff, food and drinks nice, and reasonably priced. Dog friendly with water bowls at the entrance. Lends itself to a "modern retro" feel. The only real negative is the lack of parking anywhere, there 10 spaces right outside, but these are shared with the co-op as well. all were taken as we pulled up but luckily someone was just leaving as we arrived. 5 minute walk from the granddaughters campus accommodation so an ideal meet up point.

Staff was friendly but we asked for mustard twice we never got the mustard that we asked for. Mango lassi was very disappointing, watery and over priced. Very bland. Rhe muffins were very small. The egg sausage muffin was gristle, very small. Egg was The hash was bad. There were no toilet rolls in the ladies'. Very upset.

Came to have coffee and do a bit of work in the morning of the 13th of November. About 10 tables in the restaurant haven't been cleaned or wiped and the couches were filthy full of crumbs/old food. Understandable after a busy morning but it really wasn't that busy and the place really was dirty i don't know how the two waiters could miss that. Other than that nice athmosphere, dog-friendly and good coffee!

My first time visiting Boston tea party! and i can say that it was absolutely brilliant and that i will definitely be returning back, The food was lovely and was served quickly by the lovely waiter Simon. All staff seemed friendly and polite. I also love that the menu has a wide variety of menu choices.

I came here with some work colleagues to have lunch and it was great. We were served by Simon a lovely kid with a kind demeanour. Will definitely be coming back !

Very helpful and friendly staff, they seemed short-staffed but still managed to get our orders to us quickly. The food was great, and there was a good selection. It's a little pricey but not bad for an occasional treat.

I had Simon as my waiter and he was very polite when dishing out food. Could always ask him if I needed anything. The food was very nice, I had pancakes and bacon from the breakfast section. Highly recommended.

Really nice place for breakfast or brunch. They have good menu choices and the food quality is awesome. The service time can be a bit drag at busy times but once the food arrives it is all good.

Enjoy going to BTP near UWE when in Bristol..open seating area, spotless toilets and the staff are really friendly. Small area with kids books and a few toys, and very tolerant of grandchildren tearing about!Would heartily recommend!
