Fantastic fish and chips. The batter was very crispy, but light. Loads of chips. I will certainly use them again in the future.

Delicious, light batter on cod. Chips were cracking too.

Normally the food is really nice but today was sadly really poor, everything was cold the chips were so overdone they were all brown, the halloumi was so greasy it was dripping through the bag, hopefully this was a one off as normally the food is perfect!

took over an hour from teh initial estimated delivery time to arrive. Rider was rude when delivered, presumably with the intent of ensuring no return business!

My favourite local fish and chip shop. The cod is excellent, tastes super fresh with a nice light batter. Proper chip shop chips. And great value too!

The chips were dreadfully hard and inedible again. Very Disappointed.

Fish was dry and 2 small pieces put together, chips were lukewarm warm and the curry sauce came in the smallest pot I have seen. Shame used to be good but shan’t be ordering here again.

I pre-ordered so disappointed that my food came nearly an hour later than requested time, also food was barely warm, and the chips were poor standard! Sort it out JF!

So sorry to say the quality of the food today was very poor. Our first 3 orders good. The last two very poor. Hardly any fish in the overcooked batter and chips were hard and dry. Not worth the £25 I paid at all!

The kebab was disgusting had a couple of fresh strands on top but underneath was massive chunks of kebab which was all hard as rock and inedible!!!!

Delivery was good and food was great. However you gave them the wrong delivery address. They were trying to delivery the food to 22A Herbert Crescent but I intercepted the delivery guy and showed my paper order confirmation so he gave me the order.

Absolutely fantastic chippy! Always keeping an eye out to see if they are open when feeling like chips. chip portions are huge too

I have ordered many times from Jolly Fryer. Unfortunately I was disappointed this time. Most of the chips were little hard scraps. I like some of that but there was not enough juicy chips, they were very hard especially for kids meals. I think we may have got the scraps of a batch. I'll give them another go due to being good usually but if the next order is the same I'll try somewhere else.

Delivery person was friendly and polite, the food was as usual amazing, in my view the best Fish & Chips in Bristol.

Wont get better fish & chips anywhere else! Wedge of lemon was a nice touch, thank you. Food was delivered nice and hot by a polite friendly courier.

Best portions of delicious food

Staff were very friendly and polite. Order taken in good time, I didn't feel rushed. Food prepared fresh when ordered, but wait time was fair and worth waiting for as the food was delicious and hot. Prices were very good too and we all enjoyed our food.

Order two meals (omelette and chips, halloumi and chips) and didn’t get any chips at all

Really good BBQ chicken, chips and curry sauce. Really quick delivery and still lovely and warm. I'm impressed.

The fish was nice and the chicken was ok but the chips were awful ! greasy, soggy and gritty, all the food was cold, not impressed.

Had mushroom cheese omelette and chips Omelette not cooked properly chips was mixed fresh and old My son had the Kebab which was edible but over all a waste of £30.09

Best chippy in Bristol. The food from here is always lovely. Absolutely love the battered halloumi with homemade tartare sauce!

Mediocre at best. Chips & onion rings lukewarm & why did we only receive 10 onion rings when we paid for 12? I get the feeling that because we added a £3 voucher we were short changed on this occasion. This is a shame because we love Jolly Fryer.

Got to say we order fair bit and the food was not that great at all, very greasy and didn’t taste good.

Cod was amazing, well cooked. Only criticism is that the food was lukewarm on arrival

The fish was nice, but unfortunately most of the chips were inedible. They were very hard and overcooked with sharp edges too, not your usual good standard at all!

Banging large cod and chips( nobody eating large cod amd chips) from here,but there gonna give it a go and they do a top notch (battered saveloy,gonna have to order it). Can get busy(but most things is cooked to order but you can order online on there website and collect and at board prices too.

The chips were hard and dry to the point that I couldn't eat many of them. I have been a customer since you first opened many years ago. This is the worst meal I've had from you and at £17.60 a waste of money

this used to be the best kebab in bristol now it is the worst i have had in ages pitta bread soaked with the wetness of the salade the meat was also cold and the chips were mostly overcooked crispy ones an absolutely disgusting meal and they should not make homemade mayo it was foul delivery driver went to the wrong house before getting to me making my food even colder i will not buy from here again i would prefer to be refunded i am fuming to be honst that was my main meal of the day i can only afford take out once a month

Had a fantastic meal. 10/10 would recommend. That double dipped sausage satisfied like nothing else. Full stomach and happy.

One of the best chippies in Bristol, good portion size with freshly fried fish to order. Staff are lovely too, hence I have been coming back for years.

First time I have had a kebab from here, but it won’t be the last. They do an order of large kebab with salad and real chips. Great meal , very tasty and a lovely change from stick chips.
