Popped in for an impromptu Sunday roast and wasn’t disappointed! The food was excellent , beef was delicious and roast veg just as good . - really tasty ! The staff are very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us . Def worth going if you want a traditional Sunday roast ! Fabulous ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was not good at all. Service was ok, very quiet for a Friday afternoon. Will not be back. This was March 2024. Hope it’s improved.

Had Sunday lunch here yesterday with large group of family and friends. Can’t speak highly enough of the food and service one of the best Sunday lunches had !

Soulless atmosphere and super expensive round. Not even a lukewarm welcome. Not sure how this place is rated 5 stars… honestly, one of the worst pubs I’ve been to. Interior as unwelcoming as the staff… too late to ask for a refund? Save your hard earned cash for another pub that has an interest in you…. Shame as it has so much potential but evidently the landlords can’t be bothered…

Table of 3 having a roast dinner on Easter Sunday. We were served by Cassie who was very friendly and attentive, she delivered excellent service consistently across all the tables she served. The food was very tasty, good ingredients cooked well. Cheesy leeks were great. There were really interesting vegetarian options on the menu, but I like to go for just veg and extra yorkshires. When the chef heard about this request, they cooked me one huge yorkshire big enough to fit the whole dinner in it! It was a lovely surprise and personal touch. We had a great meal and would love to return.

We had my mums 80th birthday here and I can highly recommend it..Georgia and the team were so helpful and attentive, the service and food was amazing. They allowed us to trim up with banners and table decorations and we couldn't fault any of it. Everyone in our party said what a lovely friendly place it was. Thank you so much for everything you did and helping to make mums 80th so enjoyable.

Sat outside with my family on a lovely sunny days and it was really lovely. The youngest was able to go off to the little play area whilst waiting for food.

We decided to have a hot buffet, and the chef decided what food to cook. I can honestly say, it was all really lovely, all of our guests commented on how nice it was. The garden is a lovely space, especially with the park next door, great if you’ve got kids. Throughout the afternoon all the staff were great. I would definitely recommend anyone to book for a function here.

Came here this evening for some food and drinks as we came last Saturday for food and was blown away by the whole experience! Food was absolutely beautiful, so much time and effort put in, front of house staff so friendly and helpful, nothing was ever a big ask for them, would definitely recommend and will definitely be back next weekend!!

Absolutely brilliant. The Sunday lunch was the best I've had in ages. Fresh veg decent portion lovely vegetarian option. The only drawback was it was VERY noisy. But it's St Patrick's day so to be expected. Cassie our waitress was the best waiting staff member I've had for a long time pleasant and nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely be back.

The team did such a brilliant job for my uncles wake. We would definitely recommend for a similar event. The team were so respectful and helpful. There was a wide variety of food and the surroundings of the pub were very pleasant.

This garden centre Cafe has a very friendly atmosphere, the ladies serving are so very friendly and welcoming it makes it worth while to dine here food is very good too would recommend

We booked our family Xmas dinner there was very excited for it tbh , when we arrived the waitresses was friendly and amazing really good staff especially the young girl waiting our table , unfortunately when the food came was very disappointing I think my meat was lamb but the slices was so thin it almost seemed packet store bought again the carrots we had 3 slices very small and not even a quarter of a parsnip and a ball of something. That was mashed and the potatoes was simply lacking the gravy was nice aslo the condiments but then the desserts came and unfortunately followed suit with the sicky toffee pudding was obviously brought in and microwaved and hot held for a long time as there was a layer about the size of the top of my little finger that was hard and dried out basically and to top it off we let the waitress know some was orders with custard as it’s all pre ordered next thing we know the chef was at our table with her back up letting us know we was wrong untill we showed her the order form un professional tbh we was paying up to 30£ per person for this and from a table full of chefs and waitresses stand point never really do reviews but as it’s a lovely place thought needed to be said as a professional you need to hear the negatives to improve otherwise people will say it’s good and never return , bar staff front of house staff 10 out 0f 10 thou

We held our father Wake here. The staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble. Nice selection of food, all well presented and the venue itself was clean and also well presented.

Popped in for a pint on a Sunday afternoon. Really lovely atmosphere. All the staff were really cheerful and made effort to chat to my little girl which was so sweet. You can tell the staff are looked after well, because I heard the chef offering them all good which is always a good sign 🙂 I'll definitely be back to try the roast one day soon!

The roast dinner was really good, you definitely get your money’s worth and the service was really nice throughout. I’d definitely recommend trying here.

I wish I could give 5*. We got our starters very quickly but waitted 30mins for mains. To which we went in and questioned. We waitting 25mins before popping in again. To which they were just dishing. But at that point we were already there for a little over an hour with a 22month old ready to go home. So we asked to have it to go. They were very apologetic. We got home and the food was amazing still. We hope to be back soon to try again. There may need to be more communication between the FOH and Kitchen and awareness of people who sit outside who order. But besides this they are in a great location especially if you have a kid and a dog. As there are large fields to walk thw dog, a play park for the kids and a nice garden for a pint and some food, (just make sure you get it, or don't order starters). Lol.

Visiting from Mancester and we have had a few ropey meals but tonight was unbeatable. All the food was homemade and very tasty. Service was excellent. Prices were very reasonable. A lovely place.

Great pub. Stumbled across this place whilst out on a cycle. Reasonably priced, generous food portions, proper beer garden and friendly staff. What more can you ask for!

Excellent Food 👌 I had the Meat Lasagne and the Mrs had the Vegan Lasagne both were rich and full of flavour, you can tell they were cooked fresh. Compliments to the chef, and cheap prices too for the quality of the food delivered A*. Staff are fun and attentive and the place has a great atmosphere. Dog Friendly as well, which I love, as I get to meet all the local pups.

Visited here today for the first time with my young family. Amazing roast with good sized portions. We enjoyed the weather in the lovely beer garden, and the kids loved the play area too. Highly recommend!

I was blown away by their pizzas as they were extremely tasty and they tasted properly Italian! I would definitely recommend coming here to eat.

We have really enjoyed takeaway pizza during the lockdowns and now in the tier system meaning we can not enjoy eating in at present. The ingredients are top quality, the pizza taste fabulous! All with great, friendly service. Takeaway Sunday roasts are available too, we shall be trying that soon. We would highly recommend this great place.

Booked for Sunday lunch here following a very nice lunch on Saturday the previous week. On that Saturday we found it a little chilly in the room we were in, but safely distanced. However it was a bit busier and warmer on the Sunday and the food was very good and plentiful. We both opted for roast beef, then very nice profiteroles for dessert. This pub is now a free house and the ales are very well kept. Will certainly visit again.

Came here for lunch. The pub is very cold and we were frozen throughout. Not cosy at all. The lunch / light bite menu is very limited and the main menu expensive. We had a cheese abs onion sandwich which was literally a slab of cheese and a slab of onion in a dry ciabatta roll. Very hard to chew. We also had scampi and chips very small portion. Would not return due to lack of lunch choices and cold restaurant area.

Great to see them fully open again now. Great food with friendly helpful service and fab atmosphere, what more could you want? Fabulous menu and choice of drinks on offer. We do recommend booking your table a head as gets very busy as so popular. excellent Sunday roasts!

Walked from yate and was well worth it. It was a lovely surprise. Friendly welcome and excellent service with a smile from the friendly barman. Sat in their sunny garden and really enjoyed our afternoon. Will come back another day when they're serving food as currently dont serve food Monday and Tuesday. Recommended.

We enjoyed fab pizza last night, all so good. They have adapted under the present circumstances and so we ordered and then collected. Choose from the great menu or build your own. Highly recommended. We will now make this a regular weekend treat! And very much look forward to visiting the pub and restaurant when all this is finally over.

They hosted my mums surprise 70th last month. Brilliant landlord couple and barstaff. Couldn't do enough for us. The buffet was amazing, which was all home cooked top quality grub (we all had 2nd helpings )Every commented on the how lovely the venue was and how excellent the food was. A great time had by all especially the birthday girl. We also had the pleasure of using one of there rooms for a few nights to. Very warm, cosy and the bed was super comfy. We've also indulged in one if their sunday roasts. Best I've had in a long time and not to be missed. Thank you for making our mums birthday a night to remember

What a lovely warm welcome we got as soon as we entered this lovely old village pub!The two waiting staff were brilliant!... very attentive, friendly and pleasant. The new landlords Tracey and Tony couldn’t have been lovelier and we felt like we were old friends. We had the Sunday lunch which was cooked to perfection. All fresh vegetables, not overcooked but just right.. ( couldn’t have done better myself) I had garlic and rosemary lamb and my husband had roast beef....delicious! For dessert I chose Nona’s profiteroles.... obviously Tony’s families recipe. Thank you Nona ...first class.

We had a Wake for our Dad, the attention to detail and hospitality for our family and guests was fabulous. Tony and Tracy are a great team. The spread of different buffet foods, everything presented beautifully, and copious amounts. Leak and Potato soup was perfect, Tony - thank you so much for making this for us, it was perfect after the cold of the day.

Had Sunday lunch today with my daughter, son in law and grandchild it was lovely. My daughter lives in Westerleigh and I’m so pleased they now have a local that is worth going to. The staff are very friendly too. If I am to make any comment at all it would be to make a child’s portion, the small portion was way to be for little children even if extremely tasty.

This pub has become a free house and is feeling its way. Have started with Sunday lunches and pizzas. The pizzas are of restaurant quality but I don't normally eat them and these were exceptional. We were lucky as the Mystics were playing and we had a great night where even the friendly bar staff joined in dancing at the end of the evening.

We had never been to this pub before as we do not live in the area, however following my father in law’s passing, we were looking for a suitable venue for the wake. From our initial phone call, Tracey was fantastic, allowing us to feel that all was being taken care of. We popped into the pub the evening before and were so happy to see what a beautiful pub this is. We also met Tracey and Tony, both of whom were so welcoming and accommodating, thinking of all the details that would ensure the next day would go as well as it could. On the day itself, we arrived and the food was set up. Having the whole pub to ourselves was an added bonus as well as the screen projector being set up with our photo of choice- thank you Hamish for that. All in all, fantastic food and service- we cannot thank you enough. We sincerely wish you every success for the future and look forward to visiting you again when we are in Bristol. Great traditional pub. Tony and Tracy who run it are really hospitable and can’t do enough for their customers. An excellent selection of beers,ciders and spirits. The food is of a very high standard with the pizza being outstanding in quality and value. Highly recommended. Mike and Denise

This great little village pub has been given a breath of fresh air with new ownership change. Very friendly staff (and pub dog buddy!!!). Came in on a Monday night for the Quiz (which was hilarious, quizmaster was great) and was surprised to see people eating pizzas. We ordered one and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality, Stone baked pizzas that could easily been served in a restaurant. Really happy to see the local I have drank at since I was a youngster return to its former glory.

Owner/ and staff seemed disinterested and not particularly friendly. Still in a lovely location though.

Went at opening time (just after three). Asked landlady how old the pub is...she said originally built in the thirteenth century, but became an inn in the fifteenth.

Just visited for a Sunday lunch and would recommend this. £8.95 is great value for meat, roast potatoes, 3 veg and and A cauliflower cheese. Will definitely be back on another Sunday when I don’t want to cook myself.

Myself and my 7 year old son visited this nice looking pub looking for a Sunday roast. We were pleasantly suprised that they could still offer 2 roast dinners as it was after 3pm. We ordered an adult roast and a child roast as well a s a small blackcurrant squash and pint of Heineken ( which actually turned out to be fosters) i didn't want to moan at the error and politely took the fosters. I paid an incorrect, overcharged figure (unless child roasts are charged at full price) and we sat to our wobbly table un the dated restaurant area. Our food arrived shortly after (nearly to the wrong table) and myself and son just looked in despair. My son had no roast potatoes or yorkshire pudding as advertised and our plates looked soggy, microwaved and old. There was no cabbage as promised on the menu and 1 sultry, soggy pre frozen Yorkshire pudding. Along with 3 shriveled roast potatoes and and array of tinned peas and overcooked carrots and cauliflower along with some instant tasting gravy. My son's missing potatoes and Yorkshire pudding arrived and at this point i had nearly finished my small plate. The meat was ok, but the rest was nothing short of discusting, and for £23, I was not amused, nor was my son.

The Landlady was very helpful in arranging a wake following a cremation at the nearby Westerleigh Crematorium. She laid on a good buffet in the conservatory, which provided a good degree of seclusion to a party of 35+. The Landlady provided a brilliant service whilst giving the attendees the privacy expected with such an event.

Came for 'wake', lovely light conservatory we had to ourselves. Great service, discreet, but on the ball. Very uneven floors - quaint, but don't over undulge!

Karen is the new landlady for this pub restaurant. she was friendly and helpful and the cost was reasonable. our wake was yesterday and she made a nice buffet for everyone and the area used was well laid and well lit. hope she returns this establishment to its former glory very soon

i had the roast lamb husband had the three meat option,roast parsnips yorkshire pudding cabbage carrots and cauliflower cheese plus roast potatoe very good plus extra gravy

Not been in this pub for well over 20 years. I know it has changed a lot but was very surprised. Big beer garden and very quiet. Pleasant inside and out. I had the fish and chips which was excellent, very crisp batter, big thick chips and nice salad alongside. Portion was good for the price. Menu is what a would call quality pub food but that would do a disservice to the way it was cooked and presented. Well worth a visit if around that area.

Visit for grill night excellent value 2 steaks for £15 good size portions and very tasty, large portion-steak was perfectly cooked served with chips, onion rings, salad and grilled tomato. Arranged quickly and very hot. Busy evening but service was still quick. Definitely recommend it the new owners are gradually revamping the pub and it's noticeable

I had arranged a wake at Yea Olde Inne. They were excellent in the way that they listened to our wishes and our concerns beforehand. They came up with sensible suggestions. In the event we needn't had worried. Not even when many more people turned up than we had expected. They just handled it. No fuss, no bother. Just good service and good food. Thank you.

Ate here on Saturday lunch time nice to sit out in the garden good choice of food and excellent value the food arrived quickly and was fresh and a good quantity. I like they are now offering lighter meals like ciabatta with various filling. The attempts to upmarket the food are working I like the rustic wooden spoon numbers and buckets for the tables I'll definitely be back

We popped into the pub initially just to see what was like and have a drink. The staff honestly couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. We ended up staying for dinner which was not only delicious but a sizable portion, plus most dishes can be changed to a vegetarian friendly option!

Having visited this pub for Sunday Lunch for a few years now, we went back after it had changed hands in March, the food was as good as ever, as the same chef is still there, but the rest of the service leaves a lot to be desired.
