Found this little gem of a cafe by chance and so glad we did. We both had filled ciabattas which were lovely. I then had to have a slice of homemade lemon cake which was amazing. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back next time we’re in Cornwall

We love this place especially for its excellent carvery, Wed to Sunday. It has a great a la carte menu too. What is also special are the ladies who look after you especially Therese, who I believe is the Assistant Manager and also the young waitress. Both display exceptional customer service skills. Dan, who served us the carvery on several occasions, is also a great team member.

Cafe Q is situated on the road from St Agnes to Trevaunance Cove. It is downhill from St Agnes, but needless to say, a somewhat stiff uphill walk back. We popped in here after visiting Driftwood Spars in Trevaunance Cove. I had a large cup of tea and a huge slice of Victoria sponge, which was delicious. We sat outside and the service was good. £6 for tea and cake.

Visited for breakfast as we had never been before, and love trying new places. Greeted by 3 lovely happy staff members and shown a table. The vibes are great and the music taste is fantastic! Very happy! Menu is quite small…if you’re looking for a fry up, here is not for you! Luckily we enjoyed everything they offered 😊 We had the avo toast and added a fried egg. It is quite expensive costing £10.75 each. Maybe not best place if you have children! But it was delicious and the presentation was fab. The wait was long considering we were the 2nd people to order, but we didn’t mind. They only have 1 person cooking/1 small kitchen so it’s expected! The coffee is delicious we ended up having 2 rounds 🙈 PS: We arrived at 9am and many tables were reserved so definitely book in advance!

As we sat down we noticed another table of guests had Cornish cream teas which looked delicious. We succumbed to temptation and the 3 of us had a cream tea each. The scones both plain and fruit were warm and scrumptious with a very generous portion of jam and clotted cream. Each of us lingered over our last morsels of scone as we didn't want them to finish! I love, love, LOVE salad - so I was in my element when my order of halloumi cheese mixed salad bowl arrived. It was large, plenty of green and lots of other nice stuff in (i.e. a few grilled mushrooms and pickled sweet chilli). I asked for dressing on the side - it was no problem - and I'm glad I did as it was juicy enough without. This was washed down with a nice strong espresso, and a shared lemon/lime sponge. Himself had a nice cheesy panini, and long black coffee. The whole meal was lovely, the staff (including mother and daughter) very helpful, and we could see the measures taken to maintain social distancing and hygiene standards. Liked it so much, I'm planning on another salad tomorrow. There is plenty of choice for all - including for vegans, who are embraced. Please support this lovely eatery.

Just had The Drake and the Mrs Perryman. Both came with plenty of chips, the actual duck dishes were outstanding, really nice. We will be returning to try another dish when we return next year. We were lucky to have crispy skin as well. We spotted the sign for the duck Truck while we were driving to our cottage in Tintagel and decided to give it a go during our stay. Had a really nice evening in this small restaurant in a great setting. Host very friendly and nothing too much trouble.
