Encontré esto en Primera Mesa, en general bastante bien. El servicio era puntual, la comida era sabrosa, pero sí encontramos que después de un corto tiempo la comida se enfrió, probablemente al calor de los platos. Las gambas eran abrumadoras. Yo diría que es bastante caro, pero con First Table ahorramos y nos permite probar otros platos.

Nosotros tres amigos estábamos preocupados de que podría no haber mucha multitud a mediados de semana a principios de enero - ¡qué equivocados estábamos! Y pronto descubrimos por qué esta pequeña joya estaba llena. Pedimos 7 platos diferentes y cada uno estaba muy bien presentado y absolutamente delicioso. Añada a ese servicio atento pero relajado y tendrá una fórmula ganadora. Ah, y si eres descarado, y pides un negroni (no en el menú) para empezar, pueden armar uno de los mejores!

Cenamos en Muiño a las 5. 30 pm después de una visita al cine cercano. Fuimos los primeros en entrar, aunque a las 6 de la tarde el lugar estaba casi lleno. El ambiente era familiar, el servicio rápido, cálido y amable, y los platos muy sabrosos. Había una buena selección de entrantes y platos principales vegetarianos, incluyendo queso azul y crostini de membrillo, calabaza con cuajada de cabras y remolacha morada y amarilla asada, todos los cuales estaban deliciosos, y la merluza de mi compañero estaba perfectamente cocinada. El tamaño de las porciones es generoso y representa una buena relación calidad-precio. Sin duda lo volvería a visitar!

Ha pasado un tiempo desde nuestra última visita aquí; la falta de visitas en el último año se trata más de querer ampliar nuestras experiencias gastronómicas que de estar, de todos modos cansados o decepcionados con nuestras experiencias específicas aquí. Visitar hoy fue parte de nuestra celebración del 21 cumpleaños de mi Hijo en la calle. De las muchas cosas que nuestro ‘cumpleaños - niño’ comparte con mi pareja y conmigo, es el amor por la comida fabulosa en este restaurante. Mi Pareja y yo hemos cenado ahora aquí nueve veces desde nuestra primera visita en abril de 2019 ; y hubiera sido más, de no ser por los encierros 2020 - 21. Así que, como regalo de cumpleaños para mi Hijo, reservamos una mesa para el almuerzo de hoy. En esta época del año preferimos almorzar fuera de casa en lugar de cenar fuera; las horas de luz del día hacen que viajar sea más agradable y cómodo. Llegamos bang - on - tiempo; siendo la primera parte en llegar para el servicio de almuerzo. Rápidamente me dieron menús y elegí el vino: una ‘Casata Vinho Verde’. Invariablemente ordeno este vino aquí porque es excelente; siendo zingy - fresco y seco, con sorbete en nariz y notas cítricas (particularmente limón) en el paladar. El surgimiento de Vino Verde de un vino barato, joven y con menos alcohol, a un vino de gran calidad, está bien documentado. Todos estudiamos los menús y hubo muchas elecciones difíciles; porque casi todo en el menú sonaba delicioso para uno, dos o los tres. El gerente muy amable transmitió la emoción mostrada por el Chef por la disponibilidad de Cornish Mussels: la aparición en el menú ayudó a cambiar de opinión. Entonces, para empezar pedimos (para todos nosotros a menos que se indique lo contrario) : 2 x Masa Madre Focaccia y Aceite de Oliva Arbequina (no para mi Hijo) 1 x Focaccia a la parrilla y mantequilla de jamón (para mi hijo) 3 x Croquetas de jamón También se ordenaron placas para compartir (de nuevo para todos nosotros y también a menos que se indique lo contrario) : 2 x Patatas Triplemente Cocidas con Confit (cocidas lentamente) ajo y sal de romero, y ajo asado alioli (compartido) 2 x Harissa Brochetas de muslo de pollo adobadas con mantequilla marrón, harissa y yogur de menta (no para mi socio) 1 x Lomo de Oporto a la Parrilla con frijoles arrocinados, morcilla desmenuzada, acelgas y castañas tostadas (para mi Hijo) 2 x Cordero Especiado de Cocción Lenta con borani de remolacha, cebolla de zumaque, especias feta y za’ata y mezcla de hierbas (no para mi Hijo) 2 x mejillones de maíz con tomate asado y chorizo de hierbas dulces, jerez fino, alioli de ajo y migas crujientes (no para mi hijo) Podría relacionar individualmente cómo sabía cada plato, pero eso simplemente significaría repetir las palabras ‘excelente’ y ‘maravilloso’, y otros superlativos varias veces. Todo lo que realmente necesito transmitir es que todo fue - comido y todo - disfrutado. También confirmaré que los mejillones eran el plato favorito de mi socio, las brochetas de muslo de pollo eran de mi hijo y mi plato favorito. Mi Hijo no pudo resistirse a un postre de affogato, y mi Pareja pidió un café Americano, mientras que yo me abstuve de cualquier postre o digestif (estar completamente saciado). Esta fue otra ocasión fabulosa en este maravilloso restaurante, fue realmente bueno saber que el propietario Alex había hecho un punto especial de mencionarme a su personal. Esperamos con interés la próxima vez y trataremos de no dejarlo tanto antes de que eso suceda.

Visité a Muino con mi hijo ayer. Tiene un gran ambiente y está situado en los alrededores muy agradables del pueblo de Clifton. El servicio era bueno y una serie de platos eran excelentes, en particular el estilo de tapas de cerdo del vientre. Nuestra única razón para 4 / 5 estrellas en lugar de 5 es que a la cáscara grande en las gambas al ajo no se le había retirado el saco intestinal. Esto no es raro, pero creo que debería hacerse si un restaurante quiere obtener 5 * por la calidad de la comida. Hice pasar esta retroalimentación a la gente que sirve

Muiño is an excellent place to have a great meal, From the moment I walked in the door I was well looked after by both Matt and Olive who go out of their way to create a warm friendly atmosphere. The food is to die for and you would be hard pressed to find anywhere with a better experience. Thanks to Matt, Olive and all their support staff in the kitchen for making such a memorable evening, I highly recommend Muiño to anyone looking for a great meal and a good night out.

very nice, cosy little restaurant, located in a pleasant spot. all food was good, if, i have to say, a little over salty for some dishes (fortunately it served as a reminder that i hadn't taken my blood pressure tablet, otherwise i'd have forgotten!). harissa chicken was the highlight for me.

Highly recommend! Delicious tapas sharing plates, and welcoming and efficient service. We went for a Valentine’s meal, and the food did not disappoint. The cod was DELICIOUS! Every plate went down a treat, I will most definitely be back again. (We had the pork belly, plaice, crispy potatoes, cod, beetroot, focaccia bread with jamón butter, and croquettes) 👌

Such a pleasant and thriving restaurant, For a Saturday evening it was busy yet had an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and attentive the whole time! The menu is plentiful with various dishes, they were all delicious and beautifully presented , it would be hard to pick a favourite. The prawns, cod and belly of pork are just a few to mention! I really recommend Muino for a great dining experience, Thank you for a lovely visit, will definitely be back !

From start to finish everything about Muino was fantastic. We had one of every dish and each was cooked perfectly and packed full of flavour. Service was attentive. Our wine paired well too. Muino is a gem within the Cotham Hill community and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great food in the area.

It was my Son’s birthday anniversary, so we treated him to a meal at this, his most favourite, restaurant. For my Partner and I, plus (on such occasions) my Son, it is always such a pleasure to visit here; regardless of the time of year, or the time of day. On this occasion, however, we decided to dine at lunchtime rather than in the evening; as mid-November days are mostly cheerless and damp, there is daylight however. That is a plus: as the dark, cold evenings at this time of year make lunch far-the-best option for us. Our reservation was for 12:15 and we were the first dining party to arrive. Owner, Alex, welcomed us having recognised us from several previous visits here. We were seated on a table that looked out onto the street; this is better for people-watching, and there is always a steady, and very diverse, flow of folk to watch here in Cotham. We quickly chose our wine: a bottle of Cascata Vinho Verde (the same great wine as we usually order) and also a litre of tap water, of which we had a second bottle during our meal. Starters were chosen (all shared between us): ‘Sourdough Focaccia’, with rosemary, sea salt, and Arbequina olive oil: very pleasant with a good serving of untoasted focaccia. The oil was very light and said to be a “sweet, grassy oil with a punchy acidity and a peppery finish”; I can’t say I particularly agree, but there-again, with it accompanying a salted herby bread, it was unlikely I could be so discerning. ‘Grilled Focaccia’, with homemade jamon butter: fantastic taste and texture, and just a superb starter which we all could have ordered and enjoyed to excess; if we had only a modest meal to follow. We knew that we had a lot of fine plates to follow, and we really didn’t need the extra carbs, no matter how great they were. The jamon butter texture was similar to a pâté. There was plenty, so we enjoyed some with the plain focaccia. Main plates were separately chosen by us all: ‘Triple Cooked Potatoes’, with confit garlic, Rosemary salt, and roasted garlic aioli (2 servings but shared between us). Just a fantastic texture combination with very crispy chunks of potato cooked until golden and crispy, but with a soft and fluffy middle in the larger pieces. This was finger-food, to dip into the wonderful aioli; the latter dusted with (I guess) milled red chilli. ‘Harissa Marinated Chicken Thigh Skewers’, with brown butter, Harissa, and mint yoghurt (3 servings, 1 each). Probably collectively our most-favourite plate. Just superb: being an incredibly soft and juicy meat. The Harissa gave a satisfying tangy heat, which was wonderfully balanced by the mint yoghurt. ‘Pressed Pork Belly’, with roast onion purée, rhubarb compote, and red wine jus. My Partner wisely chose this and from the small taste I accepted, I would say that I made a big mistake in not ordering this plate for myself. The meat wasn’t ‘cooked-to-death’ as often is the case with crispy pork dishes. The outer layer was firm and the fat was crispy without being overly greasy. The inner layer of the pork yielded; giving a great overall texture. The onion purée and rich rhubarb compote provided a great foil, and the red wine jus was sublime. Yes definitely my mistake; next time this will be my ‘go-to plate’ with the chicken skewers and the … ‘Braised Ox Cheeks’, with celeriac purée, Chimichurri toasted pine nuts, and crispy sage (a plate for myself). I love beef cheeks and have no qualms about eating meat, from an animal’s mouth (after all most meatatarians eat bacon … and you know where that comes from!) Wonderfully tender, and real ‘melt in the mouth stuff’. Uh-oh … two puns in the same paragraph! The celeriac purée didn’t do a lot for me really, but the ‘Chimichurri’ (parsley, garlic, olive oil, oregano, red pepper, all steeped in red wine vinegar) was a good accompaniment. ‘Oven Roasted Cod’, with Basil pomme puree, chorizo braised leeks and pickled salsify (2 servings for my Son and myself). My Son really complimented this plate, but it was not that great for me. Yes, the fish was beautifully cooked and flaked well, and it was moist and delicate. The salsify worked too but, for me the plate was a bit plain; being totally unlike all the other main plates. The other plates had glorious and complex flavours, and really excited my palate, this just didn’t. Sorry to be negative, but I am used to such brilliant plates of food here, and this just wasn’t. ‘Oven Roasted Mackerel Fillet’, with Chermoula, and grilled lemon (for my Partner). My Partner really enjoyed this plate; such a bold flavour in the mackerel, with the North African Chermoula marinade, the latter being a similar taste to Chimichurri. The fish was beautifully cooked, retaining its moisture and flavour of the sea. Dessert were chosen by all of us: ‘Affogato’ with vanilla ice cream, and expresso for my Son … well it is his favourite light dessert, and why not? You can’t go far wrong with a good vanilla ice cream with good coffee. ‘White Chocolate Cheesecake’, with passion fruit, and honeycomb for my Partner, and much enjoyed it was. Cheesecake is a firm favourite for my Partner and this just did not disappoint, especially with the flavour of passion fruit, and the sweetness and texture of honeycomb. ‘Dark Chocolate and Orange Torte’, with orange Chantilly cream, and hazelnut praline for myself. I had imagined a delicate biscuity pastry filled with a dense chocolate sauce. That is how I described it to my Partner prior to ordering; but nothing of the sort! This was full-on sublime dark chocolate mousse in a slice, no pastry just a baked mousse, and it was fabulous. My Partner was green with envy, and although not admitted, so was my Son. Oops!! Another very fine meal, engagingly served with panache.

A disappointment this time. A fw months back, it was 5* plus; this time, 3.5. Why? The menu is seasonal and this month's choice was not exactly my taste (that, of course, is my problem, not the restaurant's fault). But the peppers were oversalted, the pig's cheeks lacking in flavour and texture; only the butternut was really something I would order again. It was also really noisy and we could not have a decent conversation. I will give them another chance and perhaps will return to my 5* opinion soon.

Very attentive and friendly waiter, very quick delivery of food once ordered. We ordered the two dip starter (absolutely delicious) followed by 4 or 5 small plates between two of us which was more than enough. Every dish was delicious, from the rustic chunky triple-cooked potatoes and aioli to the extremely delicate and refined roast cod loin on basil pomme puree. The figs, harissa chicken and jamon croquetas were all equally fantastic too. Not a bad bite to be had, excellent quality and standard of cooking on every plate. We will definitely be back for more!

Me and my husband came here a couple of months ago for a meal for my birthday. We had the 7 course menu and it was delicious! This is our second time here and it's such a treat. Really lovely fancy food, but in a relaxed setting. We had a window seat and it was lovely looking out onto Bristol. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tasting menu in Bristol! Estábamos visitando Bristol para el fin de semana y alojarse cerca. Visitado por casualidad en el almuerzo del viernes para la cerveza y la comida, ambos excelentes con 4 cervezas bien guardadas, incluyendo mi favorito, Butcombe. Comimos de la junta especial y todos pensamos que la comida era buena relación calidad-precio y solo el trabajo. Hablamos de cerveza y rugby con los dueños amables y recomendaron una parada de desayuno cerca. Volvió después del rugby el sábado por la noche. El pub todavía estaba bastante ocupado y de nuevo tuvimos excelente comida y cerveza y fuimos bien atendidos por el personal. Probamos otros pubs durante el fin de semana, pero ninguno coincide con el Royal Oak. Gracias.
