This is a great place for sushi lovers. It’s small and casual but the food is well above average. We went with friends who recommended it. Very impressed and great value too. I have travelled to Japan many times so can vouch for the authentic food on offer.

Stopped here for something different while visiting the area, we live over an hour away but will return just for this! The food was amazing! We had the teriyaki chicken bento and pumpkin catsu bento, value for money absolutely and amazing flavours! Highly recommend!

Lonely Mouth on Gloucester Road realmente brilla por su enfoque en los platos de desayuno tradicionales japoneses. El arroz frito picante, la mermelada, los encurtidos de huevo y la selección de proteínas crean una comida satisfactoria y sabrosa que se siente reconfortante y emocionante. Pero para mí la bebida más destacada fue la bebida Ube, un vibrante brebaje morado hecho con ñames y Matcha. Estaba absolutamente delicioso y ahora es mi principal recomendación! Si busca auténtica cocina japonesa con algunos toques únicos, Lonely Mouth es una visita obligada en Bristol. Muy recomendable!

I genuinely wish I could give this place 10 stars, the owner managed to squeeze us in between bookings and I can see why they are booked out every day. The food was the best I’ve had in a very long time, cosy atmosphere and attentive staff.

What a wonderful experience! Large pots of hot water to enjoy the tea experience and an extensive choice of teas. The gyoza were SO delicious and so was the blueberry crumble, and healthy too we think, at a very affordable price! Would recommend everyone to enjoy this wonderful tea experience, you won’t regret it!

I have been coming here for years. The food is always so fresh and the service is great. Much better than the commercial ‘Kokoro’ down the road!

Came across this little food gem by accident and we are so glad we did. Very cosy and welcoming service and atmosphere,l. The food was very much above average , the Octopus starter was to die for. The menu was small but lots of great options for all tastes including lots of vegan options. Will definitely come back.
