CUSTOMERS TALK ABOUT DISHES WITH.. ramen

comment_iconOpinions

Please don’t take this as a bad review, we enjoyed our meal, my wife and I we not fully happy with the portions we received. We decided to have Ramen, and it was beautifully presented, it was a very small portion. Our meal came to about £38, and all we had was tori ramen and king prawn ramen. Unfortunately we were still hungry after this and ended up making more dinner at home. I just think that people should be aware of the portion size and value for money as everything is expensive these days.

Delicious food and well presented. I had the miso soup starter followed by Ebi tempura ramen (double soup, my own fault but I really wanted to try both), then the yuzu lemon tart for dessert; all were wonderfully satisfying, both in taste and portion size. Prize was fair for the quality and amount of food, though not cheap. Overall with drinks it came to just under £70 for the pair of us, though we were eating a little more than normal to try more of the menu.

By far the most delicious Japanese meal I've tasted, the gyoza were the best I've had, the ramen was incredible and super savory and flavoursome, and the taiyaki made a tasty end to the meal. The gentleman who served us was polite and helpful, and the atmosphere of the place in general was great.

I’ve been here few times now when visiting the area. The food here is fantastic and always delicious. I last came with my friends and they were all impressed. The appetisers were perfect for sharing and the chicken ramen was incredible. Great food, great service! 10/10 recommend eating here.

I had the braised beef Kakuni and at nearly £16 I have to say I was quite disappointed, 3 small pieces which were mostly fat with very little else in the broth except sweetcorn, the ramen was nice but choosing the spicy broth the flavour was a little lacking to be honest. The Mrs went for the gyoza and ramen and said she found it small but tasted just okay. Haven been to many Japanese restaurants and traveled Japan several times I was excited to try this place very close to where we live, left still hungry and spent over £35! If your looking for generous portions and much friendlier service I'd say Noodle bar in Bournemouth at much less of the price is where to go! Decoration was nice but let down by the food unfortunetly, told the owner and said was more meat in a portion than we got and will take note.

I've been here a couple of times now, once with friends and once with my partner. Everyone who has tried the food has loved it. The selection isn't large, but it's big enough that it's hard to decide each time. There are some interesting drinks and dishes. Eg. fish balls as a ramen topping, yuzu soda and talyaki(fish shaped sweet waffle) The takoyaki is the best I have had, the sapporo ramen broth has a good level of spice to it or if you are feeling a bit braver or you just like spicy food try the Kumamoto ramen this has a real kick to it. This is a must try if you like Japanese, ramen or are just in the area. I will definitely be coming back to work my way around the menu.

Had the sapporo ramen with pork belly which came to £17.00 for that money it was a little bland tasting, could do with more pork though, paid the extra for it and got 6 tiny little chunks of pork. Coffee is really good though.

I've been looking for a fairly local place that does ramen and Tomoko Ramen was what we found. A few things. This place had very few reviews and a high rating. This left me and my party somewhat skeptical, especially when we found out that this place has been open for over a year. Why so few reviews? Two reasons. #1: The opening times of Tomoko Ramen are somewhat unusual. #2: It would appear they do a lot of business on apps such as Deliveroo / Just Eat, so there are more reviews on there than there is on Google. Anyway, back to the review. The food here was brilliant and the menu is set out in a way that is easy to understand. The menu isn't huge but there's enough on offer. I found it hard deciding between several options as many of their menu items sounded really good. Also, very good takoyaki here, albeit a bit smaller than I'm used to, but still very good! The service here is great. Very accommodating and friendly. Overall very polite. There's also a stamp card for drinks made in-house which is a nice touch. The atmosphere is very cozy. Tomoko Ramen is VERY small which adds to that coziness. I'd say it's a bit smaller than what I'm used to as for most of our time there myself and my party were the only ones there. But if you're looking to a place where you want quiet and music to accompany the atmosphere, this is definitely the place. We'll definitely be coming back here at some point!

Clean, friendly, and tasty. My family certainly has enjoyed their cheeky stay. The menu is professional and simple. We had 3x Ramen for 12.50 GBP each and 3x Coke for 2 GBP a can. Points for consideration: Offering 'eat-ins' without the provision of a toilet is a real downside although it is not a requirement with fewer than 10 seats. Serving time, and taking orders: 23 minutes seems a long time for letting the customer select their food. Since there was no other customer in the store we favourably assumed the kitchen must have been busy with orders. Although the prices are a nudge too high for us to return, we shall recommend the food when asked.

Absolutely delicious Japanese food! I went in for my birthday and took my family, not sure if they'd enjoy it since they've never eaten Japanese food before. They all loved it! We'll be eating there again! And the taiyaki waffles were *chef's kiss* delicious! A great way to end a wonderful lunch! And the honey and yuzu drink has become my all time favourite drink! I highly recommend this cafe! The staff are so nice too! Allowed us to bring two tables together to accommodate our party. If I could rate 10 stars I would without hesitation!

Waited 20 mins for a drink as they forgot my order. There was also a live insect in the drink due to flowers being added, the waitress was then quite rude about removing service charge because of it.
