Really rather good - the restaurant area is just the right size, service timings were on point and the food was delicious. If you're getting dessert, I can highly recommend the banana nuggets.

Visited as a party of 3 on a Saturday evening and we got seated straight away on a big shared table. We had a selection of dishes including fishcakes bao buns, sashimi, salt and pepper squid and beef brisket fries. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. There was a small wait as the restaurant was busy as well as lots of takeaways being prepared but everything was well organized and run very efficiently. This place is a delightful surprise in an unexpected location and well worth the visit.

I love coming here! Favourite item on the menu is the brunch bao 😍🤤 everyone is super friendly and enthusiastic about the food, which is lovely to see. Shout out to Katie, a sweetheart on the restaurant floor and a whizz in the kitchen too!

Visited several times and the food is always top notch, really tasty and unusual. Recently visited for my sister's birthday with 3 children between us and the staff could not have been more accommodating!

Visited Bango with my Daughter who's an Asian food fiend. It's a lovely spacious restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. The food came quickly and was well presented. However, I had mixed feelings about the food. As someone who cooks and has eaten lots of Asian dishes from all around the world, I found two of the three dishes we had lacking on flavour. The Pork belly Bao was excellent In flavour but with a basic side salad and medium bun I would consider it overpriced. The chicken katsu mayo roll really had no flavour at all., almost bland. The Cornish brisket that topped the loaded fries was delicious, but had just been placed on top of what seemed like basic unseasoned oven fries. Overall we were both a little disappointed, but It wouldn't stop us from trying again, possibly trying the small plate dishes during happy hour.

What a brilliant place! Such brilliant staff, who couldn't have been any better and food which was so fantastic and had such great flavours. I couldn't recommend it enough!

I wanted to give all 5 * for this place. I've been here a lot and I love the food, but I want to point out a couple of things so that people know them and with them clearly out of the way can enjoy the undoubtedly excellent food here. First one is parking. Parking here is a bit crap, just bear in mind that there are few spaces unless you go to a nearby carpark. No big deal. Second is ambience. It's pretty bare bones here so just remember it's not the most comfortable. In my opinion also no big deal. Major thing I do want to point out are prices. £13 for a bao bun which, in my opinion if it's all you're eating you need two of, means 26 pounds for a couple of buns. With a bowl of ramen at £20 this makes this pretty expensive for the experience. I want to be fair though, and the food is great, we would probably get it a lot more regularly were it not for the cost.

Visited for the first time this week and very impressed. Food was excellent, well presented and very tasty. Highly recommended.

For the price you would expect at the very least for the noodles to be the correct type for each dish rather than generic 12" industrial thick chinese style alkaline noodles for all dishes, and for the fish dishes to all use fresh fish from the commercial fish supplier over the road.

Absolutely delicious. Paid attention to all the details. Side salad was an experience in itself. Cornish brisket bao bun probably the best thing I've eaten all year.

My partner and I had a wonderful meal this evening. The atmosphere and service were fantastic and the food was out of this world. Incredible attention to detail and exquisite flavours. Each dish made us want to savour every mouthful.

Visited Bango kitchen today with my partner as I was having a bad day and we thought getting out of the house would be good. As always, the staff were lovely. The food was delicious (I had some crispy squid), unfortunately I was feeling too rubbish to eat it! So asked for a takeaway pot for most of it to go in. The staff put it in a takeaway pot for me and made it look all beautiful again, re-adding garnish, when I got home and felt up to eating again, I opened it and it looked like it a new meal! It was nice to open it and it look all lovely (it’s the little things). Thank you Bangos!

What an amazing place! The food was absolutely stunning and the staff are all brilliant with a really fun and chilled vibe in the restaurant. I had the beef brisket noodles which is now my new obsession 😍 Cooked to absolute perfection with so many beautiful ingredients 💚 Also tried the fried cauliflower, which I didn't know could taste so good 😅 They also have their own gin which I'd recommend, floral without the sharp after taste 🍸 And also welcome well behaved dogs which was fantastic 🐶 10/10 will definitely be going again. Thank you to the staff for such a great experience for my friends birthday ❤️

Had the opportunity to try the pork bao bun and it was the best quality bao bun I've ever had, full of flavour and good ingredients, cooked together wonderfully. Also the staff were really friendly and the design of the place is really cool too. Only went for a light lunch or small bite otherwise I would have tried some more dishes!

Won't allow you to book for groups less than 5 people, so our group of four was refused....in February! Not even peak season. Not exactly customer focused.

We came for lunch today after Bango kitchen was highly recommended to us by other people. However, we were very disappointed. Our food came out at different times so I had finished eating by the time my friends food came. We were put in front of the window, whilst the people next to us, who arrived after us, were offered a proper table for 2. The table was very sticky so I don’t think it had been wiped down. There were lots of flies by the window flying around. The food was nice but overpriced. Overall, our expectations were let down after having looked forward to visiting.

Average quality food with high quality prices, lack of competition in the area gives the false idea the food is good, if competition existed don't see this place being as popular as it is. Lots of garnishes on the food to try cover up the average taste and quality and make it look expensive and justify the price. £11 for a single bao bun that lacks any real substance or meat and is packed full of cucumber and other vegetables is simply not good value.

What super little gem!!! It was a real treat as in Telford I have yet to find this so easily available.

This urban style restaurant was recommended and it didnt disappoint. Large trestle style tables ideal for groups. Interesting menu that's a bit different and full of flavour. Great food but over priced. £8 for a bowl of chips with some chilli flakes. I find this quiet offensive when we are all struggling. What really sucked was choosing to sit by the ever opening door .....we froze, I mean we were sitting in coats, scarfs and woolly hats. To top it off the coffee was barely warm. They remade it but it was no better. We ended up asking for boiling water! So here's the thing. They are making so much money they could pop a heater over the door and have stand up gas heaters to heat the place. Treat your customers to some heat or stop charging such crazy prices to locals who earn minimum wages!

We have been following Bango kitchen for 2 years and took a trip there on our 1st weekend off,2 1/2 hour journey in January but well worth the wait and trip.Interesting and imaginative food all prepared in house, presented and served professionally. Best Bao buns we have ever had with the fishcake voted the best but only slightly ahead of the belly pork. The special satay pork rib from the blackboard was a exceptional piece of pork, juicy,tender and spiced well.The sweetcorn topped with the spicy cheese mix was really rich and filling. We didnt get back to Bango the 2nd day as the food scene in Falmouth is very good but we will be back soon. Well done to the Bango Kitchen team

Wonderful atmosphere, great welcoming staff and amazing food!

A nice place with good food. We had the pork ramen which was tasty. The broth was a little salty but the food was plentiful. Priced at £18.50 each it seems to me on the steep side. Service was good, and when there was a problem with one of the meals it was replaced without question. The ambience is ok, nothing special but nice enough.

Food was great with nice flavours and spices service was excellent allways with a smile and very attentive really enjoyed our meal definitely recommend

the sushi is tasty but the ramen needs improvement. I recommend a restaurant to try sushi. But we didn't try other dishes. the prices in the menu photos are out of date and require updating. the decor and service are very good

We came for the “small plates” event, the food was absolutely brilliant and surprisingly filling despite portion sizes. We have eaten from here multiple times, and each time the food has been delicious, but this was our first time eating in. Service was good and quick however my partner pointed out our waitress was often smirking at me while serving our food/drinks or whilst checking in with us. I had noticed this also, alongside stares and constant looks from across the restaurant which left us both feeling self conscious and awkward while trying to enjoy our meal. The service wasn’t by any means poor but we were both left feeling uncomfortable staying any longer, and while we agree that we’re not sure there was any hurtful intent, we both found it incredibly odd and off-putting and as such am doubtful we’ll be dining in again.

This place is a joke: the opening times are laughable, they are closed most of the times. When it's open, it's most likely fully booked for 'private parties', something that they don't have the decensy to communicate with the exception of a sign on the door that you see once you drove there. If you are lucky enough to find it open, the menu will be more than halved most of the times (no baos AT ALL last time we tried). We won't try again, they don't deserve new clients.

Omg this is the place to go! We came for my 22nd birthday and it was fantastic!! The katsu curry was the best bit, the chicken was so crispy and the sauce was perfect, topped with a lovely rice ball. We also had the ramen which was also so delicious! The egg noodles weren't very exciting but nothing to complain overall. The miso soup and the boa buns were great! If you're a lover of truffle then the miso soup is gonna be your new best friend 💓🤤 The staff were so friendly, we left a tip and will definitely be returning when we are next in the area. We've been to several Japanese food restaurants in Cornwall and this is the best one yet! Perfection ❤️ If you want to support a cute indipendent business then come here !

have since brought many friends an family to this spot and its been excellent every time. despite the small bao portions (only too small because they are delicious) they are surprisingly filling

The family and i visited last night for dinner, we were warmly welcomed and seated. We were helped and advised on our dishes, which was most useful. The food was absolutely gorgeous and so tasty, there was no arguments about only purchasing a smaller meal, as my son wasn't too hungry. Overall a wonderful experience delivered by a great team. Spicy Beef Ramen was tasty, especially the meat was very tender. For my taste, the noodles could have been a bit more flavourful. The ambience is ok, in the middle of a main street, no great view of anything. The whole area is quite grey.

In the past we've had great food from here, having been customers since they opened, however recently have had two poor experiences. The first of these was being served food which was so salty as to be inedible - it was the Pork Yaki Soba. Avoid this dish. The second issue was when we ordered takeaway. On arriving home with our food, we found part of the order was missing, but when we phoned the restaurant they said they couldn't refund us since we'd walked in and ordered (paid by card), rather than ordered through the app. So the restaurant made an error, but wouldn't make it right, and I am left out of pocket. It reflects really poorly on them.

Absolutely delicious and faultless dinner. 6 of us all enjoyed our food, really clean and bright flavours. Really friendly staff all eager to please, what a pleasure to be there. will be back and also for food to take away. A great find.

If I had all the money in the world I would be in here all time! However for the portion size it was a bit disappointing as it’s a tad expensive. That being said I can’t fault the service and food at all as everything was brilliant! I definitely will be back for the occasional treat 😊

This is another one of those waooo places....their food is absolutely mind-blowing specialy their pork belly ramen!so rich in flavour that i cant even explain!wings where good to!the only one dish wich dodnt blew me away was their cheesy new potatoes...but except that everything was great!the place was packed, so we needed to wait to be seated, and parking space is limited, for few cars infront of the restaurant, but never less, i highly recommend this place👍🏻👌🏻great job

Their recommendations were absolutely spot on. Wonderful Bao Buns, noodles and the cinnamon banana nuggets dessert was totally delicious! Would definitely recommend.

Best place in penryn. Had a quick lunch with friends on a rainy Saturday. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We all had the chicken bao bun and some coffee which was all made fresh and tasted amazing.

Me and my wife had 2 korean chicken Bao and beef brisket bao. Absolutely delicious! You won't regret coming here. There's also a few parking space at the front of their shop.

The food is absolutely incredible, had an amazing lunch here today. Great service, lovely seats, good atmosphere, good tunes playing. It's a trendy place run by friendly knowledgeable staff. I know it can gest busy in the evenings so is worth ringing before turning up. Recommend the bao buns and their specials. Only thing I would improve is the size of the cider cans - 330ml is just too small 😆

We loved our visit! We had the special salmon and the salmon bowl with the teppanyaki veg and corn. Everything was soooo good. Will definitely be back!

Love Bango kitchen, the food, the people and the atmosphere are all great. What hugely lets it down is just how expensive it is, i understand its locally sourced quality produce but its bot very good bang for your buck. My partner and myself tried the trio or mini baos off the specials board, the brisket ramen and the pork soba, all very yummy, although some dishes had little meat and it cane to a staggering £60 🥺. Enjoyed our meal but will not be returning for a long time, which is a huge shame.

I had high expectations coming here since I'm a big fan of east Asian food and all the good reviews. However, despite the nice use of local ingredients, the food was just too salty. Don't understand why there are so many good reviews, maybe the dishes I ordered weren't the best, or maybe they made a mistake preparing our food. I so wanted to like this restaurant because of the reviews but really can't recommend it.

I dont want you to go because it will get busier.......awesome food. Have their own Gin. Service is always great.

The only fault if I had to find one would be the portion sizes, but that’s because it was so scrumptious that it just left us wanting more! The staff were really friendly and welcoming looking forward to coming back again soon

Just picked up a couple of Beef Bao Buns and oh my Jesus mother of slow cooked Brisket, it was SO GOOD! The crunchy salad on the side was really fresh and well flavoured and oh my lord that beef was just so lush and rich and tender. Definitely more than enough for a hungover lunch. Wish we lived nearby cos I want to go back and try everything! It was ready within 5 mins of me ordering on a Saturday afternoon. Really friendly staff. No pic cos it’s in my tummy already. Thanks so much, we will come back especially!

Another review from me, because I can't rate this place highly enough. I have eaten in Michelin starred restaurants that don't even come close. If your local as I then your extremely lucky. The team are always pushing the envelope on ideas and flavours. The fusions work well and and the specials are always changing and interesting, which draws me back again and again, as I don't want to miss anything new. Thanks guys for this gastronomical gem !! A bit disappointed Tbf, went for lunch. It was OK, but no where near as nice a previous visit a couple of years ago. For the money spent, there are far better dining experiences in the locality. Service was fast, no one checked to see how we were...

We’d heard good things about Bango Kitchen, and it definitely lives up to its reputation. Service: super-friendly, helpful and informative ☑️ Ambience: warm, welcoming and unpretentious ☑️ Drinks: we shared a bottle of the house white Sauvignon, which was delicious ☑️ THE FOOD: the best ramen and bao we’ve eaten. Simply delicious. ☑️☑️☑️ This is a hidden gem. Not sure how long it’ll be hidden though.

The quality of the food was outstanding, the portion sizes a little small. The service was great, very nicely designed restaurant- but was very busy at dinner time on Saturday. The aisan food is targeted at English market - so may not be exactly as experienced in Korean for example - which is to be expected.

Went today and enjoyed Bango Kitchen, everyone was friendly, the room was nice and the quality of the food was good too. My only criticism would be the size of the dishes, my subjective opinion is that the servings could be a bit more generous to reflect the price I was asked to pay.

A very good BAO bun!! We literally knew we wanted to visit Bango Kitchen months before our trip down to Falmouth! All our anticipations for the BAO's were met brilliantly. It was delicious & rammed full of flavorsome food. I wanted to be much more generous to Bango Kitchen & give it the full 5*, but I feel it was a tad expensive for the food we ate altogether. Adding on the drinks - soft drinks - the final bill came to quite a lot considering we only had 1 BAO each. Regardless, we both left very happy & satisfied with the food quality. Worth the visit if you get the chance! Just be prepared to spend a bit more than you may want to.
