I'm so glad we got here early because we hadn't booked and it filled up quickly. My goodness were we treated to some absolutely beautiful food. So fresh, so yummy. And the decor is gorgeous. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere warm. I had the katsu hake which was fresh and crispy and my daughter had a hot steaming bowl of caramelised pork ramen. We could have licked the bowls. So yeah, in short we loved it and we'll be back!

Nice place to dine, food was good, inside sitting was not my style, probably my state of mind. I can imagine others will like it.

This is quite a nice place. The food is good Rahman I would rate a 3 out of five wasn’t the best but certainly wasn’t the worst.

The food was amazing, and the service was very quick. I'd recommend the cauliflower side; I would eat it with anything.

Staff were friendly but that was the worst Japanese meal I have ever had. The “sushi” seemed to comprise of two small pieces of salmon off-cuts bought in a packet and them hidden by mayonaise and pickled veg . It had NOTHING to do with fresh raw salmon in my opinion. Such a shame. Never coming here again!

Very average food! I had the caramel pork Donburi and I wanted to love it as I love Asian food. However, I think it is a stretch to call this plain rice and meat Asian. The pork was soft and cooked well but very lacking in seasoning. There was no sauce/seasoning or flavour to the rice. The only thing that added flavour to the meal was the house pickles - but I only had about 2 or 3 pieces. We can cook better at home so won't be returning.

Suuuper bland food. Neither the ramen nor the rice dish tasted good and the wait time was significant. The staff were nice enough, even though we were told not to sit on a larger table (despite the restaurant being half empty).

Had a fantastic meal here tonight, we hadn’t booked but were welcomed in! Lovely staff and absolutely fantastic food! The donburi was super tasty, and the mochi for dessert was the perfect ending!

I came here on a little solo Cornwall trip and absolutely loved it, I had the cauliflower katsu which was the best I’d ever had - cooked to perfection and had great flavours. I would make the long drive down just to eat here again.

Is Rono still functioning, i tried calling last night to reserve a table for today and kept getting answer machine, then went down today, it says its open 12-3 and has a closed sign on the door, went to Kona instead which was amazing

We've walked passed this place several times and today we popped in to see what it was like. It's fantastic! We're both fans of Japanese food and this was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff and the food was delicious. A varied menu with plenty of choices. We will definitely return - soon!

As tourists to Falmouth we were wandering around looking for a place to eat dinner and saw RoBo and decided to give it a try as we love Japanese food. This place did not disappoint. The food was flavoursome and delicious, and a good quantity. The service was attentive and friendly and also fast, which was impressive given only two staff were on and it was reasonably busy. We spent slightly more than we intended however we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and have no regrets. We would recommend this place.

Totally blown away by the food both times I’ve eaten here. My favourite restaurant in Cornwall! Everything is super delicious, and the ambience is cozy and perfect.

Arranged my daughters birthday meal a couple of days in advance, when we arrived was told they're not opening as chef unwell. Not acceptable to not call to advise of problem.

Booked for daughters lunch and didn't even have courtesy to tell us they decided to not serve food today. So I have a disappointed daughter, imagine we will have to go Xen Noodle bar in Truro, hopefully they will be better

A very cosy, small, peaceful atmosphere located conveniently next to a car park free after 4pm. Price was average around £12 with a very respectable portion size. Table service was relaxed, friendly and professional. Special shout out to Eddie who was our server, a very incredible and friendly new staff member, despite being their first shift, made our experience so satisfactory we will certainly be going back! For all whome are contemplating giving this place a go, a very relaxed asian restaurant with a handful of popular, exquisite dishes! I highly recommend.

Amazing, great food and service, grand children loves the place

The ambience was amazing, very cosy and chill. Josh was really lovely and helpful! My partner and I both opted for the Robo house ramen which was incredible- tender pork, jammy eggs, warming broth and the noodles were the best bit. Would definitely recommend for anyone passing through or visiting Falmouth!

Came back to Robo for the first time in a while and had really lovely food, some beautiful cocktails and the staff were lovely and attentive. Will definitely be popping in again soon.

First time ordering from here and definitely won't be again! Ordered the Coronation katsu sando- advertising itself in a soft bread roll. What turned up was a cold chicken breast inbetween 2 slices of bread!! For £10.50 this is definitely not what I was expecting. It tasted ok but nothing to write home about and nothing you couldn't knock up yourself for far cheaper and far tastier! What a disappointment 😞

Not sure if there has been a change of ownership or change is chef but the food was lacking. The £15 for the donburi and the £17 for the beef special seemed unworthy. Plus £7 for a pint of Asahi. Combination of disappointing food and price point means I won't visit again in a hurry.

A perfect meal. A quiet atmosphere, even though the place was full. Offered tap water without being asked. Fantastic ramen. Brilliant sushi, rice held together, beautifully cooked. A big step up from a typical sushi bar.

We booked on the day (I recommend booking further in advance) as a group, and they asked for preorders, which allowed our food to come out within 15 mins of us arriving. The food was fantastic and we were even able to celebrate our friends birthday with a cake we supplied and brought with us to the restaurant. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming and we had a lovely evening.

Lovely food and amazing, attentive staff. Had the octopus takoyaki and the robo house special ramen, both fabulous, and my friend had the fried cauliflower and veggie bahn mi. Staff were amazing and friendly, special kudos to the gent with the aloha shirt and medallion. Only slight criticism is that the mains took a little longer than expected, but the place was packed full and it was remedied by the proffering of a free beer.

Great place with great food. The atmosphere was excellent. Try the interesting cocktails. Had a takoyaki special which was superb and very close to those I had in Japan.

Really dissapointed, simply put the food was terrible. I had eaten in with friends on a previous occasion a year ago and it was good. Now however i would avoid, ordered takeaway ramen and two katsu curry. The house special ramen didn't have the soft boiled egg, the broth came seperatley and was the colour and consistency of weak tea. Ive had better tasting salty water than this broth. The noodles were very doughy and overcooked, the pork was about ok. The whole dish just felt like a cheap microwave ready meal. Then theres the katsu curry, found a small bone in the chicken....i assumed katsu curry was normally chicken breast? and the curry sauce was lacking both in falvour and quantity. Ive had better katsu curry ready meals than this. Its sad as the staff and atmosphere is nice and friendly, but the food is just way too bad. £42 for three dishes, don't waste your money.

Robo is incredible!! My absolute favourite place to eat in (or takeaway) in Falmouth! The food is really really tasty and the staff are always lovely. On many occasions the staff went out of their way to amend any minor issues when ordering on the delivery app - even adding little cute drawings to the packaging or gifting drinks to our order. The food also looks Beautifully presented and packaged when delivered, which I totally didn’t expect. An excellent place to eat! Highly recommend

Another absolutely brilliant evening at RoBo! After a diagnostic quiz, Josh made a signature mocktail that went down a treat. All the food was amazing and was complimented by the fun, chill atmosphere. Will keep coming back. F.Y.I. Try the KFC cauliflower!

terrific find. didn't expect to find quality Japanese found in this part of Cornwall. The ramen was top notch with the caramel pork belly easily the highlight. the soft boiled egg was cooked to a perfect consistency. they even had the hitachino beer for the win! would go back again.

Greeted by friendly staff, ordered drinks which were amazing, then food which was outstanding, delicious, and good value for money. Music was really nice and suited the restaurant well, very happy with the service and the food, and staff were great, all-round good experience and would love to go back and try other menu items.

I left a voicemail regarding a reservation and a very pleasant chap rang me back within a half hour. Fast forward to the next evening (Friday) when we arrived. Superb menu, very friendly staff and they knew all the ingredients present within the dishes. We were genuinely curious about some ingredients and the staff were so knowledgeable! One of the girls also recommended a local shop which sells superb kimchi which she buys regularly (The Corner Shop) and needless to say, we stopped by on the way home. Lovely sushi which we shared as a starter, and the Donburi and ramen dishes were so fresh and delicious. In house lager/beer was top notch, too. Overall, my family and I left feeling we had been fed and watered at a very reasonable cost with superb food. Staff were genuinely interested in talking to you and looking after you. Highly recommend paying them a visit, and I do wish we'd visited before! Thank you Robo

Popped in after a busy tourist day for an Asahi pint. Wasnt going gl to eat. Then the Tall Ships parade went by & i thought..... Why not..... So had a bowl of comfort & another pint. Twas the right thing to do. Lovely food & lovely service. Felt very copankomfortable as a singleton.

Nice place to grab some ramen and interesting cocktails. Definitely better than somewhere like Wagamamas but I wouldn't quite give it 5 stars (maybe 4.5?). Had some issues with Sake which kind of put me off a bit (something in the carafe, didn't see what, another one came but this one I saw had flies in it, replaced again and they promised was a fresh bottle but there was something at the bottom this time so I took a few sips and left it) also initially also given without a cup which was odd, had to ask for something. Also, be careful if you sit outside on the upper step - some unfortunate person shifted their chair backwards slightly and fell - the tables probably need to be positioned further away from that step. Still worth a visit though, I'd probably return if in the mood for this type of food again. 4/5.

Popped in out of the rain and the staff soon had a table for us; we tried the (excellently-named) Which Came First and the Robo House Special rounded off with some glasses of delectable Castelnau merlot. Cosy and warm atmosphere with a fun musical selection playing in the background as well.

One of our faves in Falmouth- the food is always delicious and service is great. We usually get a katsu curry and the KFC cauliflower but the sushi is also fresh. They offer a range of different cocktails too

Excellent experience. Food was absolutely delicious. Wish we had found this place earlier in our Holiday and not at the end. Very reasonably priced. Staff were very courteous despite the young lad being on his first shift.

We both had delicious meals. Ramen and Donburi with caramel pork. Veggies were well seasoned and crisp, broth was beautifully balanced and meat was so tender. Friendly efficient service. Lavatory could do with an overhaul to meet the high standard of the food.

It is was empty when we arrived and they could take our table of ten - good so far. Service taking orders good. However, the food was luke warm and very very bland and under seasoned which you wouldn’t expect from the menu descriptions and this genre of food. You definitely needed the soy and siracha sauce to give it seasoning. When asked how our food was I told the server it was under seasoned. My whole prawns were cooked ok but the green paste?! on top of them had no taste whatsoever and when I asked the server what it was she said about five things including spring onion but I couldn’t taste anything!!! She said she would tell the chef. Other members of the party commented to me that their meals were only just warm and under seasoned also. When paying I was asked again by the server if everything was ok and I repeated my previous conversation and again the response was they would tell the chef. No recompense, no attempt to put things right which was disappointing as ten people all buying main meals and drinks meant we paid out a substantial amount of money.

Have been many times and always had great food and friendly staff, but recently got attitude for not tipping, so be careful if you don't tip whilst on a budget.

The staff managed to find room for 7 of us by moving bookings around. Had a variety of food between us and it was all great, along with the super service! Definitely recommended.

Our daughter really loved the kids noodle soup with tofu and the other meals were very good too

The first 5* food review I have had the pleasure of giving in years now! The food is fresh, tasty and authentic. The service from David and the other member of staff was impeccable. Since COVID, we’ve noticed a major dip in the quality of food and service all over the U.K., but these guys did not disappoint. We can’t wait to visit again when we’re in Falmouth, and would strongly recommend to all locals!

The food at RoBo is excellent and really reasonably priced. We have visited numerous times and always been impressed, particularly with the Hake Katsu curry and Korean Fried Cauliflower. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Great food and service but the stars were the selection of Japanes whisky. The whisky cocktails.were superb too.

Lovely unpretentious food packed with flavour and care, I ordered ramen for myself and 2 more dishes to share and it was the perfect lunch. Great friendly service. If anything the inside sitting area was the only thing that I thought didn’t look too appealing but the outdoor area was very nice.

Second time we’ve visited and equally as impressed this time. The Ramen is delicious. We had a selection of dishes the first time we visited and all were excellent. A great find in Falmouth and we’ll definitely be back.

me and my group really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. there was great veggie, vegan and meaty food here. the staff were also very lovely and the cocktail menu was brilliant!

Great student rendition of Japanese food. The menu is however lazy, reusing the same ingredients throughout every dish. The sides are just large portions of what's in the mains. Ultimately its bang average, but as a student who can't afford any decent food yet, what more could you want.

On our week in Falmouth we came here twice. The food here is our kind of food, fresh and tasty Asian food that I could not stop eating. I wish this place was near where we live.

Turned up at 9pm on an incredibly busy festival weekend begging for a table after our previous reservation elsewhere had let us down. They set us a table and we’re extremely accommodating. Food was delicious - we all had ramen - and the service also fabulous. Lovely atmosphere and spacious tables. Highly recommend this place for a nice meal out.

Everything about this place was brilliant, the staff were super friendly and the food tasted amazing. Definitely going into my favourite places to eat in Falmouth. If you're fed up with fish and chips then I'd wholeheartedly recommend RoBo as an awesome alternative.

What can I say? Fresh, tasty food lovingly prepared, decent cocktails, and friendly, attentive service that was never intrusive. If I have one criticism is that that the utterly delicious Kentucky Fried Cauliflower needed a bit more of that lovely sticky sauce it came with. Book a table now!

Great service but the veggie ramen wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. The noodles weren’t the type you get in traditional ramen, they were quite chunky and not very flavoursome. That being said, the other toppings were nice.

I expected more from this place, but I like what they are trying to do. The ramen was a really mixed case. The individual ingredients were good, but they didn't come together to create a good ramen. Also their broth was weak. I believe that ramen is a very technical dish that takes time to master and in this case it wasn't up to the standard.

Had two very good Ramen bowls there tonight. Friendly waitress. Good music. Let down by charging £1.50 for a pea size squirt of wasabi to go with our sushi. We queried it, but were dealt a very curt response from a owner/manager? Very strange customer service from him given that we were otherwise very satisfied and enjoyed the food. Recommended, but please don't erode their profits by requesting extra wasabi! 😊
