The best restaurants in North East

Not a great deal of parking but the food, coffee and service was first class, costs are very reasonable.

Tuvimos 4 comidas y toda la comida estaba al rojo vivo, delicioso y muy buen tamaño de porción, mi marido dejó sus vasos en la mesa esa noche, volví a llamar y confirmaron que estaban allí y con nosotros estando a 3 horas en coche, se ofreció a publicarlos! Absolutamente increíble servicio, no dudaría en volver la próxima vez que estemos en Sunderland

Booked a table for 4 people, arrived for our meal, and were greeted with a warm welcome. Ordered our meals, and tucked into delicious cobbler with fresh veg etc, All of the meals were so tasty, and the attentive service was excellent, couldn’t fault any of the service we received. The inn was pretty busy and the atmosphere was great. Stopped after for a few drinks then when back to our caravan. I would fully recommend the cottage inn if you are in the area.

Quality local cafe, couldn’t do enough for us. Great breakfast, friendly, we even got a slice of homemade cake from the locals. Highly recommended.

Always an excellent choice, great menu and a lovely specials board. Fast service by friendly staff. Great value and in a good location for us.

Cookies turned up burnt. Ordered sprite and received coke instead and the chicken wings didn’t have much flavour. However the pizza was nice.

Just had a lovely family meal, the service was very good and all the food was top notch. The price was excellent for what we received. The atmosphere was very friendly and bustling. We will definitely be back.

Excellent bar for all ages. Super efficient bar staff, special shout out to Sarah and Sam, who never stop. Food and drinks very reasonably priced. Best place to watch Newcastle.

Went on sat 18th the place empty which meant it had no atmosphere we were the only diners food served cold not their finest hour not sure it will drive me back

Did not have fish and chips but had parmo and chicken kebab very large portions and absolutely beautiful would definitely recommend this place

Ive tried them few times . This time service was very slow had to wait over half an hour for food to be served and wing platter most of the wings were burnt .. i had other items so couldnt bother with them but a couple which i tried to taste left my mouth soar for the rest of my evening …

Staff welcoming and set up a table for where we wanted to sit. We went on a steak night. One of us had rare to medium rib eye and one had a rump steak well done and they were both done to perfection along with chosen veg. Relaxing place to place to enjoy an excellent meal.
